WINCH CABLE MAINTENANCE
Lubricate the winch cable and the drum periodically
To reduce the risk of cable failure during the season,
we recommend changing the winch cable every year.
Install the new winch cable as shown parts
breakdown.
CONTROLS
IMPORTANT:
In order to avoid draining the battery of the
vehicle, always start the engine before using the
winch.
THE WINCH CONTROL SWITCH
Push up or down the winch control switch to lift or
lower the accessory to the ground.
There is a limit switch stopper that limits the lifting.
Always prestretch cable and respool under load
before installing the hook on the accessory. A tightly
wound cable reduces chances of binding, which can
cause damage to the cable.
To prolong the winch cable’s life, release the winch
control switch as soon as the accessory touches the
ground. This will keep the cable from tangling up,
causing premature wear of the cable.
