Do not drink the water drained

from the product.

If the liquid from the batteries gets onto your skin

or clothes, wash it well with clean water. Do not

use the remote if the batteries have leaked.

other health hazards.

If you eat the liquid from the batteries, brush your

teeth and see doctor. Do not use the remote if the

batteries have leaked.

1. Contact an installation specialist for installation.

2. Use a dedicated circuit.

1. Being exposed to direct airflow for an extended period of time could be hazardous to your health.

Do not expose occupants, pets, or plants to direct airflow for extended periods of time.

2. Due to the possibility of oxygen deficiency, ventilate the room when used together with stoves or

other heating devices.

3. Do not use this air conditioner for non-specified special purposes (e.g. preserving precision

devices, food, pets, plants, and art objects). Such usage could damage the items.

1. Do not touch the metal parts of the unit when removing the filter. Injuries can occur when handling

sharp metal edges.

2. Do not use water to clean inside the air conditioner. Exposure to water can destroy the insulation,

leading to possible electric shock.

3. When cleaning the unit, first make sure that the power and breaker are turned off. The fan rotates

at a very high speed during operation. There is a possibility of injury if the unitʼs power is

accidentally triggered on while cleaning inner parts of the unit.

Product Introduction

Here is a brief introduction of the indoor units.

Please see the information specific to your indoor unit type.

Indoor Units

Operation indication lamps

On/Off

: Lights up during the system operation, error code and auto restart setting.

Sleep mode : Lights up during sleep mode auto operation.

Plasma : The function illustrates its dynamic mode by using a multiple lighting system.

Timer

: Lights up during timer operation or sleep mode auto operation.

Defrost mode

Power Display : Indicates the setting temperature and operation mode.

(Cooling, heating,auto operation,dehumidification mode)

: Lights up during defrost mode or *hot start operation (Heat pump model only)

* Hot start operation: Stops the indoor fan in heating operation for minutes to prevent cold air from blowing out

from unit.

* In defrost mode unit stops heating operation for few minutes to remove formation of ice on the heat

exchanger coils to maintain the efficiency.

Maintenance and Service

Before performing any maintenance, turn off the main power to the system.

Never use any of the followings:

• Water hotter than 40°C.

Could cause deformation and/or discoloration.

• Volatile substances.

Could damage the surfaces of the air conditioner.

Air Filters

The air filters behind the front panel / grill should be checked and cleaned once in

every 2 weeks or more often if necessary. To remove the filters see the self

explanatory diagrams for each model type. Clean the filters with a vacuum cleaner

or warm soapy water. If dirt is not easily removed, wash with a solution of

detergent in luke warm water. Dry well in shade after washing and reinstall the

filters back in place.

Plasma Filters

The plasma filters behind the air filter should be checked and cleaned once in every 3

months or more often if necessary. To remove the filters see the self explanatory

diagrams for each model type. Clean the filters with a vacuum cleaner. If it is dirty

wash it with water and dry well in shade an install back in place.

Deodorizer Filters

Remove the deodorizer filters behind the air filter and expose them in direct

sunlight for 2 hours.

And then insert these filters into original position.

Removal of Filters

Open the front panel as shown.

Then pull the filter tab slightly forward to remove the air filter.

After removing the air filter remove the plasma and deodorizer filter by slightly pulling forward.

Don't touch this plasma filter within 10 seconds after opening the inlet grille, it may cause an electric shock.

When the air conditioner is not going to be used for a long time.

Operation Tips

Helpful information

The air filters and your electiric bill.

If the air filters become clogged with dust, the

cooling capacity will drop, and 6% of the electricity

used to operate the air conditioner will be wasted.

When it is not going to be used for

a long time.

When the air conditioner is to be used again.

Operate the air conditioner at the

following settings for 2 to 3 hours.

• Type of operation: Fan operation mode.

• This will dry out the internal mechanisms.

Turn off the breaker.

Turn off the breaker when the air conditioner

is not going to be used for a long time.

Dirt may collect and may cause a fire.

Clean the air filter and install it in the

indoor unit.

(Refer to page 10 for cleaning it.)

Check that the air inlet and outlet of the

indoor/outdoor unit are not blocked.

Check that the ground wire is

connected correctly. It may be connect

to the indoor unit side.

Do not overcool the room.

This is not good for the health

and wastes electricity.

Keep blinds or curtains

closed.

Do not let direct sunshine

enter the room when the air

conditioner is in operation.

Keep the room temperature

uniform.

Adjust the vertical and

horizontal airflow direction to

ensure a uniform temperature

in the room.

Make sure that the doors

and windows are shut tight.

Avoid opening doors and

windows as much as possible

to keep the cool air in the

room.

Clean the air filter regularly.

Blockages in the air filter

reduce the airflow and lower

cooling and dehumidifying

effects. Clean at least once

every two weeks.

Ventilate the room

occasionally.

Since windows are kept

closed, it is a good idea to

open them and ventilate the

room now and then.

Preparación para el funcionamiento

1. Para la instalación del aparato, póngase en contacto con un especialista.

2. Utilice un circuito específico.

Utilización

1. Quedar expuesto al flujo directo del aire durante un prolongado espacio de tiempo puede resultar

perjudicial para su salud. Las personas (así como animales o plantas) no deben quedar expuestas a ese

flujo directo durante mucho tiempo.

2. Debido a la posibilidad de que se produzca una escasez de oxígeno, ventile la habitación cuando se utilice

el aparato al mismo tiempo que estufas u otros aparatos de calefacción.

3. No utilice este acondicionador de aire para otros fines distintos a los especificados (por ejemplo, para el

mantenimiento de dispositivos de precisión, para conservar alimentos, para animales o plantas y objetos de

arte). Tales usos podrían ser perjudiciales para todos ellos.

Limpieza y mantenimiento

1. Cuando desmonte el filtro, no toque las partes metálicas de la unidad . Cuando se manipulan cantos

metálicos afilados se pueden provocar heridas.

2. No utilice agua para limpiar el interior del acondicionador de aire. La exposición al agua puede destruir el

aislamiento, lo que podría provocar descargas eléctricas.

3. Cuando limpie la unidad, asegúrese primero de que el aparato y el interruptor automático están

desconectados. El ventilador gira a velocidades muy altas durante el funcionamiento. Existe la posibilidad

de provocar lesiones si se pone en marcha la unidad accidentalmente mientras se están limpiando las

partes internas de la unidad.

Indicadores luminosos de funcionamiento

Encendido/

apagado

: Se encenderá durante el funcionamiento del sistema, en caso de código de error

y ajuste de reinicio automático.

Modo reposo : Se enciende durante el funcionamiento automático del modo reposo.

Plasma : La función ilustra su modo dinámico utilizando un sistema de iluminación múltiple.

Temporizador : Se ilumina durante el funcionamiento del temporizador o el funcionamiento automático

del modo de reposo.

: Se enciende durante el modo descongelación o el *Arranque en caliente

(Sólo modelo bomba de calor).

* Arranque en caliente: Cesa, durante algunos minutos, el funcionamiento del ventilador interior en la función

de calefacción para evitar que el aire frío se escape de la unidad.

* En modo descongelación la unidad cesa su funcionamiento de calefacción durante diez minutos a fin de

eliminar cualquier formación de hielo en las bobinas del intercambiador de calor y mantener así su nivel de

eficacia.

Pantalla digital : Indica la temperatura y el modo de funcionamiento configurado.
