Introduction English
Thank you for purchasing the 12V enabled eSATAp Back Plate Adapter. This adapter combines a 5V
& 12V Power-Over-eSATA port with a USB port. The 12V enabled eSATAp technology supports
connection to 2.5” and 3.5” SATA drives without the need for a separate power adapter – the power
can be driven from the 12V enabled eSATAp port using separately available 5 or 12V enabled
eSATAp cables.
Please note: when converting an internal SATA port from a motherboard, or add-on card, to an
external eSATAp port, the 1m maximum cable length for internal SATA ports should be taken into
account when calculating the total cable length (i.e. internal plus external eSATA cable).
The power from the adapter’s USB/eSATAp port exceeds the 5V 500mA usually available from
standard USB ports. The power is limited only by the computer’s ATX power supply connected to the
adapter. This allows USB or eSATA 2.5” HDD enclosures to supply enough power to operate the hard
drive over a single eSATAp connection.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Erwerb dieses 12V eSATAp Slotblechadapters. Er stellt Ihnen eine
kombinierten 12V und 5V Power-over-eSATA/USB Anschluss zur Verfügung. Er ermöglicht den
sicheren Betrieb von 2,5“ und 3,5“ SATA Festplatten und Gehäusen über nur eine Kabelverbindung
bei Verwendung der entsprechenden 5V oder 12V eSATAp Kabel.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass bei Adaptierung eines internen Mainboard SATA Ports zu einem eSATA Port
nach wie vor die maximale (Gesamt-)Kabellänge 1m nicht überschreiten soll! Aus dem eSATAp
Anschluss können mehr als die üblichen 5V 500mA wie aus einem USB Port entnommen werden. Die
Leistung is lediglich durch das Netzteil des Rechners begrenzt. Daher können USB oder eSATA
Gehäuse sicher über nur eine Kabelverbindung betrieben werden.
Zur korrekten Installation dieses Slotblechadapters folgen Sie bitte den weiteren bebilderten
Hinweisen und der englischen Installationsanleitung sowie folgenden Sicherheitshinweis:
Schalten Sie Ihren Rechner vor dem Öffnen des Gehäuses aus und entfernen das Netzkabel!

Merci d’avoir choisi l’adaptateur 12V eSATAp Back Plate. Il combine un port Power-Over-eSATA 5V &
12V avec un port USB. La technologie 12V eSATAp supporte la connexion de disques durs SATA 2.5”
et 3.5” sans connecter un adaptateur d’alimentation séparé – l’alimentation peut être gérée par le port
12V eSATAp en utilisant les câbles 5 ou 12V eSATAp (disponibles séparément).
Cependant, notez que la conversion d’un port interne SATA d’une carte mère ou d’une carte vers un
port eSATAp externe, la longueur maximale de 1m pour un port SATA interne doit être prise en
compte pour la longueur totale (câble eSATA interne plus externe). La puissance fournie depuis le
port USB/eSATAp excède les 5V 500mA habituellement disponibles depuis un port USB. Cette
puissance est limitée par l’alimentation ATX de l’ordinateur. Cela dit, les boîtiers disques durs USB ou
eSATA 2.5” peuvent fonctionner avec assez de puissance pour le disque dur.

In 2006 the European Union introduced regulations (WEEE) for the collection and recycling of all waste electrical and electronic
equipment. It is no longer allowable to simply throw away electrical and electronic equipment. Instead, these products must enter the
recycling process.
Each individual EU member state has implemented the WEEE regulations into national law in slightly different ways. Please follow your
national law when you want to dispose of any electrical or electronic products. More details can be obtained from your national WEEE
recycling agency.

Elektronikprodukten geschaffen. Diese wurden von der Bundesregierung im Elektro- und Elektronikgerätegesetz – ElektroG in
deutsches Recht umgesetzt. Dieses Gesetz verbietet das Entsorgen von entsprechenden, auch alten, Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten
über die Hausmülltonne! Diese Geräte müssen den lokalen Sammelsystemen bzw. örtlichen Sammelstellen zugeführt werden! Dort
werden sie kostenlos entgegen genommen. Die Kosten für den weiteren Recyclingprozess übernimmt die Gesamtheit der
Gerätehersteller.
