OPERATING TIPS
Cooling / heating priority
(AIRSTAGE™ (VRF-II Series Heat Pump model only))
If another indoor unit in the same system is already operating in the •
cooling mode or dry mode, heating mode settings cannot be performed.
An indoor unit that is set up as an Administrative Indoor Unit can •
operate in the AUTO mode.
Administrative Indoor Unit: •
Special indoor unit is not restricted by the switching of cooling and
heating described above.
It may happen if the unit is set to refrigerant system setting.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Before requesting service, perform the following checks:

Has a fuse blown out, or a circuit breaker been •
tripped?
Is the main power switch set to the OFF position?•
Is the timer operating?•
If the problem persists after performing these checks, or if you notice
burning smells, or the operation lamp ashes, immediately stop operation,
turn off the electrical breaker and consult authorized service personnel.

In the event of a malfunction (burning smell, etc.), •
immediately stop operation, turn off the electrical
breaker, and consult authorized service personnel.
Do not repair or modify any damaged cable by •
yourself. Let the authorized service personnel to
do it. Improper work will cause a electric shock or a
re.
This unit contains no user-serviceable parts. •
Always consult authorized service personnel for
repairs.
When moving, consult authorized service personnel •
for disconnection and installation of this unit.
Do not touch with wet hands. It may cause an •

If children may approach the unit, take •
preventive
measures so that they cannot reach the unit.

dispose of the plastic packing bags so that children
cannot play with them. There is the danger of
suffocation if children play with the original plastic
bags.
Do not place electrical devices within 1 meter of •
this unit. It may cause malfunction or failure.
Do not use re near this unit or place a heating •
apparatus nearby. It may cause malfunction.
Do not touch the switches with sharp objects. •
Doing so will cause injury, trouble, or electric shock.

temperature while in operation.

A heat pump model that is not set up as an Administrative
Indoor Unit cannot operate in the AUTO modes.

FAN cannot be selected for a heat pump model.
Refer to details in the Administrative Indoor Unit OPERATING TIPS.
If the priority mode is set to “Priority on Administrative •
Indoor Unit”, the operating mode of other indoor units
except Administrative Indoor Unit will be controlled by an
Administrative Indoor Unit.
If the operating mode of Administrative Indoor Unit is •
set to “AUTO”, “AUTO” is displayed in addition to the
display of current operating mode on other wired remote
controllers except Administrative Indoor Unit. In this
case, operation of other indoor units is controlled by the
Administrative Indoor Unit.
Ex. :
When operating mode of the Administrative Indoor Unit is set
to “AUTO” while air conditioning setting. (The indication on
other wired remote controllers except
Administrative Indoor Unit).
OPERATION
If an error occurs, the following display will be shown.
(“
” will appear in the set room temperature display.)
If “
” is displayed, immediately contact authorized
service personnel. Do not used the operation as
shown to the right if an error has occurred.
Occurrence of an error is indicated by the blinking of
operation lamp.
ERROR CODE DISPLAY
(1) When is displayed, there are functions for which settings cannot be made.
When a button is pushed to change a restricted setting,
will ash.
(2) When
is displayed, some operation are restricted. In such case, contact the administrator.
(3) During Automatic Defrosting operation and Oil Recovery operation,
will be
displayed on the remote controller.
(4) •
When “ ” or “ ” is indicated on the temperature display, it means under maintenance.
• When “ ” is indicated on the temperature display, anti freeze function is activated.
However, this function cannot be operated by the remote controller.

Press the “ ” button to select the fan speed while in
operation.

Mode indication blinks when inoperative setting of indoor unit is made.
(7) Blinking of the fan speed display means the timing for lter
cleaning of the indoor unit.
To erase indication, press the “ ” button for more than 2 seconds.

CONSEILS DE FONCTIONNEMENT
Priorité refroidissement/chauffage

Si, au sein d’un même système, un appareil intérieur fonctionne en mode de •
refroidissement ou de déshumidication, les réglages du mode de chauffage ne
sont pas disponibles.
Une unité intérieure dénie comme unité administrative peut fonctionner en •
mode AUTO.
Unité intérieure administrative : •
L’unité intérieure spéciale n’est pas limitée par le basculement entre
refroidissement et chauffage décrit plus haut.
Cela peut se produire si l’unité est réglée en mode de refroidissement.
DÉPANNAGE
Avant de demander de l’assistance, effectuez les vérications suivantes :

Y a-t-il eu une coupure de courant ?•
Un fusible a-t-il grillé ? Le disjoncteur a-t-il été coupé ?•
Le climatiseur est-il hors tension ?•

Si le problème persiste après avoir effectué ces vérications, ou si vous remarquez
des odeurs de brûlé ou des voyants qui clignotent, arrêtez immédiatement le
climatiseur, coupez le disjoncteur et contactez un technicien agréé.

AVERTISSEMENT
Ce symbole signale des opérations qui, si elles sont exécutées de façon incorrecte, peuvent
provoquer des blessures graves, voire la mort de l’utilisateur.
En cas de dysfonctionnement (odeur de brûlé, etc.), •
arrêtez immédiatement le climatiseur, coupez le
disjoncteur et contactez un technicien agréé.
Ne réparez ou ne changez jamais vous-même un câble •
endommagé. Conez cette tâche à un technicien agréé.
Toute mauvaise manipulation pourrait engendrer une
électrocution ou provoquer un incendie.
Le climatiseur ne contient aucune pièce réparable par •
l’utilisateur. Pour toute réparation, veuillez contacter un
technicien agréé.
Si vous devez déplacer le climatiseur, faites appel à un •
technicien agréé ; celui-ci se chargera de le débrancher,
puis de le réinstaller.
Ne touchez pas le climatiseur avec les mains mouillées ; •
vous pourriez vous électrocuter.
En présence d’enfants, veillez à prendre les mesures de •
précautions nécessaires pour éviter qu’ils ne s’approchent du
climatiseur.
N’effectuez aucune réparation ou modication vous-même ; vous •
pourriez vous blesser ou provoquer une défaillance matérielle.
N’utilisez jamais de gaz inammables à proximité du •
climatiseur. Toute fuite de gaz pourrait provoquer un incendie.
ATTENTION
Ce symbole signale des opérations qui, si elles sont exécutées de façon incorrecte, peuvent
provoquer des blessures corporelles ou endommager le matériel.
Ne posez jamais de récipient contenant un liquide sur le •
climatiseur. Cela pourrait provoquer une électrocution, une
surchauffe ou un incendie.
N’exposez jamais directement le climatiseur à l’eau. •
Cela pourrait provoquer un dysfonctionnement, une
électrocution ou une surchauffe.
Débarrassez-vous des matériaux d’emballage comme il •
se doit. Déchirez les emballages plastique et mettez-les
au rebut dans un endroit où des enfants ne risquent pas
de jouer avec. Les emballages plastiques non déchirés
peuvent être la cause d’étouffements.
N’installez aucun appareil électrique dans un rayon de •
1 mètre autour du climatiseur. Cela pourrait provoquer des
dysfonctionnements ou des défaillances.
N’utilisez jamais de feu ou n’installez jamais d’appareil •
de chauffage à proximité du climatiseur. Cela pourrait
provoquer des dysfonctionnements.
Ne touchez jamais les interrupteurs avec des objets •
pointus.
Cela pourrait provoquer des blessures, des
dysfonctionnements ou une électrocution.

Appuyez sur la touche

pour mettre le climatiseur sous/hors
tension.
Lorsque le climatiseur est sous tension, le voyant vert de
fonctionnement
s’allume.
MISE SOUS/HORS TENSION
(1) Lorsque apparaît, cela signie que les réglages de certaines fonctions sont verrouillés.
Lorsque vous appuyez sur un bouton pour modier un paramètre restreint,
clignote.
(2) Lorsque
apparaît, certaines actions sont limitées. Dans ce cas, contactez l’administrateur.
(3) Pendant le mode de dégivrage automatique et l’opération de récupération de l’huile,
s’afche sur
l’écran de la télécommande.
(4) • Si l’afchage de la température indique “
” ou “ ”, la maintenance est en cours.
• Si l’afchage de la température indique “
”, la fonction antigel est activée.
Néanmoins, cette fonction ne peut pas être activée avec la télécommande.

Lorsque le climatiseur est sous tension, appuyez sur le bouton “ ”
pour sélectionner la vitesse du ventilateur.

Si le mode de priorité est réglé sur •

intérieure
”
, le mode de fonctionnement des autres unités
intérieures, à l’exception de l’unité intérieure de contrôle, sera
commandé par une unité intérieure de contrôle.
Si le mode de fonctionnement de l’unité intérieure administrative est •
réglé sur “AUTO”, “AUTO” s’afche à côté du mode de fonctionnement
en cours sur les autres télécommandes câblées, sauf celle de l’unité
intérieure administrative. Dans ce cas, le fonctionnement des autres
unités intérieures est commandé par l’unité intérieure administrative.
Exemple : Lorsque le mode de fonctionnement de l’unité intérieure
administrative est réglé sur “AUTO” pendant le réglage de
la climatisation. (L’indication
sur les autres télécommandes
câblées à l’exception de celle
de l’unité intérieure de contrôle).
En cas d’erreur, l’afchage suivant apparaît.
(La mention “
” apparaît au niveau de l’afchage de la température.)
Si la mention “
” s’afche, veuillez contacter immédiatement le
personnel d’entretien autorisé. N’utilisez pas l’appareil lorsque
l’afchage indique une erreur (voir ci-contre).
Si le voyant de fonctionnement clignote, cela signie qu’une erreur
s’est produite.
