INSTALLATION - ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
The hood is designed for use in “Extractor version” or in “Filter version”
Extractor Version
fumes are extracted and expelled to the outside through a fumes exhaust hose (not supplied) fixed to the collar of the hood.
In accordance with the exhaust hose purchased, provide a suitable fixing system to secure it to the collar.
Important: If already installed, remove the carbon filter/s.
Filter Version
Air is filtered through the carbon filter/s and recycled into the surrounding environment.
Important: check that air recirculation is facilitated (to this end, carefully follow the instructions given in the installation
handbook)
Important! If the hood does not have a carbon filter/s, order one/them and fit it/them before use.
Preliminary information for installing the hood:
Disconnect the power supply at the domestic main switch before carrying out electrical connections. Expansion plugs are
provided to secure the hood to most types of ceilings. However, a qualified technician is needed to make sure that the plugs
are suitable for your ceiling. The wall/ceiling must be strong enough to take the weight of the hood. Remove the grease filter/s.
1. Using a pencil, draw the centre line on the wall up to the ceiling to facilitate installation operations.
2. Apply the drilling template to the wall: Align the vertical centre-line on the drilling template with the centre-line drawn on
the wall. The template’s bottom edge represents the bottom edge of the hood.
3. Place the lower support bracket on the hole diagram so that it matches the dotted rectangle, mark the two external holes
and drill.
Note: Drill all the holes indicated on the template: the top 2 holes are for hanging the hood and the bottom holes
(generally 1 central or 2 side holes) are for fixing it securely to the wall.
Remove the hole diagram, insert the wall plugs and fix the hood support bracket with two 5 x 45 mm screws.
4. Fit the flue support bracket “G” to the wall and against the ceiling, use the support bracket as a hole diagram (if present,
the small slot on the support must match the line drawn on the wall ), mark 2 holes with the pencil then drill the holes
(Ø 8 mm) and finally insert 2 plugs.
5. Fix the flue support bracket to the wall with two 5 x 45 mm screws.
6. Hook the hood to the lower bracket.
7. Adjust the distance between the hood and the wall.
8. Adjust the hood horizontally.
9. Fix the hood securely to the wall (ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!!).
10. Connect an exhaust pipe (pipe and clamps are not supplied and must be bought separately) to the collar located above the
extraction motor unit.
For extractor operation, connect the other end of the exhaust pipe to the home discharge device. For filter operation, fix
the deflector F to the flue support bracket G and connect the other end of the exhaust pipe to the deflector collar F.
11. Insert the steam deflector and secure it to the supports (11b) on the extractor unit with 2 bushings and 2 screws (11a).
12. Make all necessary electrical connections.
13. Fit the flues over the extractor unit, engaging them in their seat above the hood.
14. Slide the top section of the flue and secure it with 2 screws (14a) to the flue support bracket “G” (14b).
Refit the grease filter/s and check for correct hood operation.

Grease Filter Indicator
After 40 hours of motor operation, the display shows
“Grease Filter”. When this indication appears on the display,
the filter needs to be washed.
To reset the grease filter indicator, the user must press the
“+” button for 5 seconds: after this, the “Grease Filter
warning disappears, resetting is confirmed by a “beep“, and
the display shows the normal operation functions.
After this procedure, the grease filter counter returns to

Temperature alarm
The hood is equipped with a temperature sensor that
activates the motor at speed 2 if the ambient temperature
around the display area exceeds 70° C (the system monitors
the temperature read by the sensor every 250 ms).
If the motor is switched OFF or is operating at speed 1 and
the temperature alarm is tripped, the motor switches to
speed 2 and the display shows “care”. During this alarm
condition the user can only increase the motor speed (3rd
and 4th speed). When the hood temperature returns below
the alarm threshold, the motor reverts to the pre-alarm
operating condition. 3 minutes after the alarm is tripped, the
system again verifies the ambient temperature around the
display area: if below 70° C, the pre-alarm operating
conditions are restored.

Maintenance
Important! Always disconnect the hood before
cleaning or carrying out maintenance by unplugging it
or switching off the power supply.
Grease filter maintenance
Retains fat particles produced during cooking.
Wash the metal grease filter once a month (or when the filter
saturation system indicates cleaning is necessary) with a mild
detergent, by hand or in a dishwasher using a low
temperature and a short wash cycle.
Cleaning in a dishwasher may cause the metal grease filter to
discolour, but this in no way affects its filtering efficiency.
Remove the grease filter - Fig. 2
Remove the grease filter by turning the knobs (g) that secure
it to the hood through 90°, then remove downwards.
To refit the grease filter proceed in reverse order.
Carbon filter maintenance
Retains any unpleasant odours produced during
cooking.
Unlike traditional carbon filters, this carbon filter can be
washed and reactivated.
With normal hood use, the filter should be cleaned once a
month. The best way to clean the filter is in a dishwasher at
the highest temperature possible, using a normal dishwasher
detergent. To avoid particles of food or dirt settling on the
filter during washing and giving rise to unpleasant smells, it is
advisable to wash the filter on its own. After washing, dry the
filter in the oven at 100°C for 10 minutes to reactivate it.
The filter will retain its odour-absorbing capacity for three
years, after which it must be replaced.
Fitting the carbon filter - Fig. 3
Remove the grease filter.
Position the wadding around the grease filter and secure it in
place using the securing device.
Fit the top plug and secure in place with the retaining spring.
Refit the grease filter complete with the carbon filter.
To remove, proceed in reverse order.
Replacing bulbs - Fig. 4
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
Important! When replacing the bulbs, first ensure that they
are cold.
1. Use a small screwdriver or any other suitable tool to prise
off the lamp cover.
2. Remove the burnt-out bulb.
Replace using 12V -20W max - G4 halogen bulbs only,
taking care not to touch them with your hands.
3. Close the lamp cover (snap-on).
If the lamps are not working, check that they are fitted
properly in place before contacting the After Sales Service.
