q If the solar panel is covered by a protective lm. Remove it before using
the product. Move the ON/OFF switch to the ON position. Place the solar
light in a location where it can receive a full 8 hours of sunlight to allow
the rechargeable battery/batteries to reach maximum capacity.
q If the soil is of a loose, sandy or organic type, grasp the post with both
hands near the spike and rmly push into the ground.
q If the soil is hard, pour some water onto the ground to soften it.
q If the soil is stony, soften the ground with a rake or shovel and remove
large rocks. Dig a small hole, insert the xture spike, replace the soil and
tap down.
q Never push the xture into the ground by the xture head.
q Attach the spike (D) to the post (C) by pressing them together and press
the post (C) into the bottom of the solar panel base (A).
qRemove the four screws from the back side of the solar panel (A).
qRemove the cover.
qRemove the old battery and replace with one new AA NiMh
rechargeable battery of same or greater mAh.
(USE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES ONLY).
qBe sure to insert the battery in the proper direction.
qReplace the battery cover.
qReplace the four screws.

WARNING: When planting the spike ensure that there are no underground utility
lines or pipes.
NOTE: This operation should be done in the morning on a sunny day. This will allow
the light to receive a full 8 hours of sunlight so that the rechargeable battery can reach
maximum capacity.
NOTE : Clean the battery contacts and those of the device prior to battery installation.

qClean the xture with a soft, dry cloth.
qDo not use any cleaners with chemicals, solvents or harsh abrasives.
WHAT IS COVERED
The manufacturer warrants this lighting xture to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of
purchase. This warranty applies only to the original consumer and only to products used in normal use and service. If this product is found to be
defective, the manufacturer’s only obligation, and your exclusive remedy, is the repair or replacement of the product at the manufacturer’s discretion,
provided that the product has not been damaged through misuse, abuse, accident, modications, alterations, neglect or mishandling.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
This warranty shall not apply to any product that is found to have been improperly installed, set-up, or used in any way not in accordance with the
instructions supplied with the product. This warranty shall not apply to a failure of the product as a result of an accident, misuse, abuse, negligence,
alteration or faulty installation, or any other failure not relating to faulty material or workmanship. This warranty shall not apply to the nish on any
portion of the product, such as surface and/or weathering, as this is considered normal wear and tear.
The manufacturer does not warrant and specially disclaims any warranty, whether express or implied, of tness for a particular purpose, other than
the warranty contained herein. The manufacturer specically disclaims any liability and shall not be liable for any consequential or incidental loss or
damage, including but not limited to any labor / expense costs involved in the replacement or repair of said product.

If the light does not turn on at dusk after 8 hours of charging :
qEnsure that the solar light is in a bright sunny location and not in a shady area during the day.
qMake sure that the light’s photocell is not affected by other light sources at night.
qEnsure that the pull-tab has been removed.
qVerify that the battery/batteries are making contact with the terminal and that they have been inserted in the correct polarity.

q Si le panneau solaire est recouvert d’une pellicule protectrice, enlevez-
la avant d’utiliser le produit. Réglez l’interrupteur ON/OFF (Marche/Arrêt)
à la position ON (Marche). Placez la cellule solaire à un endroit où elle
pourra recevoir 8 heures d’exposition aux rayons solaires, an que les
piles rechargeables atteignent leur pleine capacité.
q Si la terre est meuble, sablonneuse ou organique, saisissez le poteau des
deux mains près du crampon, puis enfoncez-le fermement dans le sol.
q Si le sol est dur, versez-y de l’eau pour le ramollir.
q Si le sol est rocailleux, ramollissez-le avec un râteau ou une pelle puis
retirez les grosses pierres. Creusez un petit trou, insérez le crampon
dexation, remettez le sol en place puis tassez-le.
q N’enfoncez jamais la xation dans le sol directement par la tête.
q Fixez le crampon (D) au poteau (C) en les pressant ensemble et en
appuyant le poteau (C) contre le fond de la base de panneau solaire (A).
qRetirez les quatre vis du côté arrière du panneau solaire (A).
qRetirez le couvercle.
q Retirez la vieille pile et remplacez-la par une pile rechargeable
AANiMh d’une capacité en mAh égale ou supérieure.
(UTILISEZ DES PILES RECHARGEABLES SEULEMENT).
qAssurez-vous d’insérer la pile dans la bonne direction.
qReplacez le couvercle.
qRemettez les quatre vis en place.

AVERTISSEMENT : Au moment de planter le crampon, assurez-vous qu’il n’y
aaucune conduite ni ligne électrique souterraine à cet endroit.
REMARQUE: Cette opération doit être effectuée le matin, par une journée ensoleillée.
Celapermettra à la lampe de recevoir 8 heures d’ensoleillement, pour que la pile
rechargeable puisse atteindre sa pleine capacité.
REMARQUE: Nettoyez les contacts des piles et ceux de l’appareil avant d’installer les piles.

Si la lampe ne s’allume pas au crépuscule après 8 heures de charge:
qAssurez-vous que l’éclairage solaire se trouve à un endroit bien exposé et non à un endroit ombragé durant la journée.
qAssurez-vous que la cellule photoélectrique de l’éclairage n’est pas affectée par d’autres sources d’éclairage pendant la nuit.
qAssurez-vous que la tirette a été enlevée.
qVériez que la ou les piles font bien contact avec la borne et qu’elles ont été insérées dans le bon sens.
