Installation, maintenance and cleaning may only be carried out by qualied rms. Only qualied rms are to carry out the procedures de-
scribed in these instructions. The materials supplied must be used for installation. Familiarise yourself with the applicable local standards
and regulations before mounting and starting up the Solcrafte system. The hot water system may not be lifted by the connections or screw
threads. Avoid impact to and mechanical eects on the hot water system, particularly the solar glass, back wall and pipe connections.
The manufacturer is not liable for structural damage or damage to devices, etc. resulting from improper installation.
Structure-atroof
Installation may only be carried out on roof surfaces or sub-structures with sucient load bearing capacity. The structural load bearing
capacity of the roof or substructure must be tested in terms of local and regional conditions by a structural engineer before installing the
Solcrafte system. During inspection, particular attention should be paid to the quality of the substructure for retaining screw connections
used to secure installation equipment for the Solcrafte system. Inspection of the entire installation structure in accordance with DIN EN
1991-1-3, 4 or country-specic regulations is particularly necessary in areas with heavy snowfall (note: 1m3 powder snow ~ 60kg / 1m3
wet snow ~ 200kg) or high wind speeds. The inspection should also take into account any particularities of the installation location (foehn
wind, air jets, eddies etc.) that can lead to increased load. When choosing the installation location, make sure that maximum loads are not
exceeded by snowfall or wind forces. There must be at a distance of at least 1m to the roof ridging or edge.
Note: Installing a Solcrafte system means changing the structure of an (existing) roof. Extended and inhabited lofts or inadequate mini-
mum roof inclinations often require (in terms of roong) additional measures carried out on-site e.g. sarking, to secure against water
penetrating as a result of wind pressure and drifting snow. For larger systems, it is recommended to secure sarking on a separate mount
construction of steel bars. Using concrete ballast blocks and cable bracing as a means of securing system components protects the roof
membrane from being perforated during installation. Rubber mats should be used if necessary to increase the static friction between the
roof and concrete ballast block and avoid damage to the roof membrane. For additional security against peak wind loads, steel cables of a
suitable thickness (typically 5mm/minimum tensile strength 1450N/mm2) are required.

Lightningprotection/equipotentialbondingforthebuilding
According to the current lightning protection code EN 62305, parts 1 - 4, as well as country-specic regulations, the Solcrafte system may
not be connected to the building lightning protection. A safety distance of at least 1m to a conductive object, preferably to the side, must
be maintained. For installations on on-site metal sub-structures, authorised electrical lighting protection specialists should be consulted.
The metal tubes of the Solcrafte system and all housing parts or xing elements must be connected to the main potential equalisation bus
bar by an authorised electrical specialist in accordance with the country-specic standards.
