Fuse replacement:
The mains lead of this appliance is fitted with a BS 1363A 13amp fused plug, so to change a fuse
in this type of plug use an approved fuse to BS 1362 type and proceed as follows: remove the fuse
cover (A) and fuse (B). Fit replacement 13A fuse into fuse cover. Refit both into plug.

automatically optimises the cycle length according to the type of fabric.
The exclusive Smart Steam System, combining the innovative technology of “dry”
steam with the unique water repellant bag, enables the Prêt-à-porter to
remove creases, wrinkles and odours while preserving the fabrics.

Before using the Prêt-à-porter carefully read the instructions for use
After removing the packaging, make sure that the Prêt-à-porter is undamaged. If in
doubt, do not use the Prêt-à-porter. Contact the After-Sales Service or your local
retailer. Keep the packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene parts, etc.) out of
reach of children, as they are potentially dangerous.
Safety Instructions.
• During operation the base is hot.
• Do not open the bag while in use. Burns could occur from touching hot parts or steam.
It is advisable to pay attention to the emission of steam during use.
• Do not place items on the inside floor of the unit.
• Do not use any flammable liquid in the water container or on the clothes.
• Electrical details are shown on the rating plate mounted in the middle of the bottom of the
Prêt-à-porter. The manufacturer cannot accept any liability for personal injury or damage
to property resulting from failure to comply with these instructions.
• Do not use extension leads or multiple adapters.
• Before any refilling or cleaning on the Prêt-à-porter, disconnect it from the mains supply.
• If the mains cord is damaged it must only be replaced by the after sales service in order
to avoid a hazard.
• To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
• Do not operate the appliance with a damaged power cord, or if the appliance has been
dropped or damaged.
• To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble or attempt to repair the appliance.
Take it to a qualified service person for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly or
repair could cause a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to people when the appliance is
used.
• Do not put any additives into the water reservoir.
• If a cycle is interrupted, allow the bag to cool to room temperature before opening it.
Remove plug from the mains supply when the clothes refresher is not being used for a long period.
• Do not place on a deep pile carpet, as this could block the ventilation holes.
• WARNING: this appliance should not be used for drying clothes which have just been
washed in substances other than water, since the fumes given off may be hazardous.
Do not use the Prêt-à-porter:
• Where it can be subject to extreme conditions, such as poor ventilation,
temperatures around freezing or above 35°C;
• In garages or near any flammable liquid or gas;
• When there is a tear or a hole in the bag;
• When the mains cord is damaged.

Packing
The packing box can be fully recycled as confirmed by the recycling symbol.
Disposing of packaging and old appliances.
This appliance is marked according to the European directive
2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative
consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by
inappropriate waste handling of this product.
The symbol on the product, or on the documents accompanying the product, indicates that
this appliance may not be treated as household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to the
applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
Disposal must be carried out in accordance with local environmental regulations for waste
disposal.
For more detailed information about treatment, recovery and recycling of this product, please
contact your local city office, your household waste disposal service or the shop where you
purchased the product.
Energy saving tips
• Use your Prêt-à-porter in a room with a temperature between 15° C and 20° C. In case
of higher temperature, ventilate the room.
• Always use the correct amount of water, depending on the items, in order to obtain the
desired results.
Child Safety:
• Prêt-à-porter can be zipped and unzipped from both the inside and outside of the bag.
• Children must not be allowed to play with the Prêt-à-porter.
Safety Systems:
• Infrared light safety system will block the cycle when the air holes are obstructed.

CLEANING
• Before cleaning, switch off the Prêt-à-porter and disconnect it from the mains supply.
• To clean the inside and outside of the Prêt-à-porter, use a neutral detergent and a damp
cloth.
• Do not use abrasive detergents.

IMPORTANT TIPS
Important tips:
• You can use the Prêt-à-porter for mixed coloured items & fabric types.
• The use of the accessories provided can further enhance performances
(see instructions for use of the accessories on the inside cover page).
• The items can be left in the Prêt-à-porter after the cycle has finished.
• Prêt-à-porter is suitable for most fabrics (natural and synthetic).
Items that could be damaged by water, moisture or heat, such as Leather, Suede, Fur,
plastic, nylon velor, gorgette, pleather (artificial leather) should not be placed in the
Prêt-à-porter. Always follow the clothing manufacturer's recommendations.
• Before storing and looping the cord around the cord hooks, let the bag cool completely.
• Do not attempt to revitalise items with stains, as the stains may set.
• Do not place on a deep pile carpet, as this could block the ventilation holes.
• Do not hang dripping-wet clothes in the Prêt-à-porter.
• Metal buttons and zippers may be very warm after and/or during the cycle.
• Use only high quality, plain plastic hangers.
HOW TO CLOSE AND TRANSPORT the Prêt-à-porter
• Allow the Prêt-à-porter to cool completely.
• Leave the zipper partially open to allow air to escape during folding.
• Collapse the bag and fold it into the body of the unit, then position the lid on the base
and secure with the 2 locking handles at each end of the unit.
• Retract the top section of the support bar by releasing the location buttons half way
down the bar. Now turn the bar 90 degrees to the right, and then push the bar in until
it stops. The unit is now ready for transporting either by carrying it by the handle on
the top, or pulling the unit along on the 2 rear wheels using the handle on the top of
the bar support.

* To use only the Gentle Drying cycle, do not add water to the container and press the START/STOP
button. This cycle is designed to dry delicate items. It may be necessary to run more than one
cycle depending on the type of fabric and how damp it is.

Average length of cycles = 30 min.
Start: items will be gently steamed to remove wrinkles and refresh.
Gentle Drying: items will be dryed with hot air to remove humidity leaving
them ready for use.
Cooling: items will be cooled down at the end for a more comfortable wear.
End: the cycle is completed and the indicator light will remain on for a
few minutes. Items can be removed, refreshed, wrinkle-free and ready
to wear.
Prêt-à-porter will automatically turn off - Always let the bag cool before opening.
Please note that during the cycle you will hear the noise of the steam generator and
the recirculating fan. This is normal.
Indicator Lights:
When the blue light next to the "End" glows, the cycle is complete and you may
remove the clothing.
During use you can check the progress of the cycle as the blue indicator light glows along
side the function.
Start:
• lights up when the START/STOP button is pressed, and the steaming cycle is started.
Gentle Drying:
lights up when the steaming cycle is completed and the Gentle Drying cycle has started.
Cooling:
• lights up when the drying cycle is completed and the cooling cycle has started.
End:
• lights up and remains lit for a few minutes when the cycle is completed. You can unzip
the bag and remove the items.
Note:
when the infrared system is activated the Start and Gentle Drying indicator
lights up. Please check for items blocking the air outlets and restart the cycle.
When the Prêt-à-porter appliance is switched on you will hear a faint clicking sound for a
few seconds until the cycle starts.
• After a period of inactivity, the End indicator light will turn off and the Prêt-à-
porter will go into a sleep mode until the START/STOP button is pressed again.
During the Gentle Drying and Cooling cycles the fan may change from active to non-active.
This is normal.

Frequently asked questions:
Can I use the Prêt-à-porter on 2 items of different materials? Yes as long as water,
moisture or heat will not damage either material.
To what level should I fill the water container when refreshing 2 items of different
materials? Fill the water container to the higher of the 2 levels corresponding to each type
of garment.
How will I know the unit is working properly after pressing the START/STOP button?
You will hear an audible noise from the internal fan and an indicator light will show the
cycle stage.
Can I leave the unit set up and plugged in when not in use? No. When the Prêt-à-porter
appliance is not in use, the power cord must be unplugged from the wall socket outlet.
I started the cycle accidentally. How do I stop the cycle? Press the START/STOP button.
If the Prêt-à-porter feels warm, wait for the unit to cool before opening the zipper. Press
the START/STOP button again to restart the cycle. The cycle will reset and start again from the
beginning.
What kind of water can I use in my Prêt-à-porter? Fill the water container with plain
tap water, or use distilled or demineralised water if available.
Can I add fragrances or scents to the water? Prêt-à-porter is designed to remove odours.
Any scent or perfume added to the clothing will be removed during the cycles.
What is the energy consuption and maximum power?
For the complete cycle, the avarage energy consumption is 0.65 kWh. For the Gentle Drying
cycle the avarage energy consumption is 0.69 kWh.
The maximum power is 1275 watts.
Can I use whatever kind of hanger? It is recommended that you use the hanger supplied
with the Prêt-à-porter, however, you can use good quality, plain plastic hanger.
What should I do if my trousers are too long to be hung using the hanger that came
with the product?
You can hang your trousers folded using a regular plain high quality plastic hanger.
What should I do if the water container is still full of water at the end of a cycle or
if only a small amount of water has been used?
- Check that the water container has been inserted correctly.
- Run another cycle and if the problem persists, contact the after-sales service.

If a fault occurs, before contacting our After-Sales Service, make the following checks
to try and remedy the problem:
Drying takes too long / item is not dry enough:
Ensure that the correct level of water was used for the fabric type. Check the water container
level corresponds with the recommendations.
The drying times will depend on the initial dampness on the garment and you may need to
run the Drying cycle again. Do not place "Dripping" wet items in the unit.
Prêt-à-porter does not operate:
(following a power failure and/or interruption to the mains supply, always press the
START/STOP button).
Is the plug properly inserted into the mains electricity socket?
Is there a power failure?
Has the fuse blown?
Has the START/STOP button been pressed?
Prêt-à-porter goes directly to the Gentle Drying cycle without going through Steaming:
Make sure the water container is fully pushed down into position.
After-Sales Service
If, after carrying out the above checks the malfunction persists or appears again, turn
the Prêt-à-porter off and call our After-Sales Service (refer to warranty conditions).
Please specify:
The nature of the fault.
Prêt-à-porter type and model.
The service code (the number after the word “Service” on the Service sticker on the warranty
card) in the middle of the bottom of the Prêt-à-porter.
