Oral-B Professional Care SmartSeries 4750 has been carefully designed to offer you and
your family a unique brushing experience that is both safe and effective. When using
electrical products, however, some basic safety precautions should always be followed.
Read all instructions before using.
DANGER
In order to reduce the risk of electrocution:
1. Do not place or store the charger where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
2. Do not place the charger in water or other liquid.
3. Do not reach for a charger that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
4. Do not use while bathing.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire or injury:
1. This appliance is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical or
mental capabilities, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety.
2. Use this product only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attach-
ments not recommended by the manufacturer.
3. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
4. Never drop the appliance or insert any object into any opening of the appliance.
5. Never operate this product if it has been dropped or damaged, if it is not working
properly, or if the SmartPlug is damaged or has been dropped into water. If any of these
occur, please contact a service center and return the product for examination and repair.
6. If the product is dropped, the brush head should be replaced before the next use even if
no damage is visible.

This appliance is provided with a SmartPlug with integrated Safety Extra Low Voltage
power supply. Do not exchange or manipulate any part of it otherwise there is the risk
of electric shock. Periodically check the SmartPlug for damage. A damaged or non-
functioning appliance should no longer be used. Take it to an Oral-B Braun Service Center.
IMPORTANT
1. Do not touch the power plug with wet hands. This can cause an electric shock.
2. When unplugging, always hold the power plug instead of the cord.
3. Do not modify the product. Do not disassemble or repair. This may cause fire, electric
shock or injury. Consult your dealer for repairs or contact an Oral-B Braun Service center.
4. Do not disassemble the product except when disposing of the battery.
5. When taking out the battery for disposal, use caution not to short the positive (+) and
negative (–) terminals.
6. This product is not intended for use by children under age three.

Connecting and charging
Your toothbrush has a waterproof handle, is electrically safe
and designed for use in the bathroom.
To assemble the charging unit, insert the protective cover (h)
on the back of the base plate (g). Then, place the base plate
on the charging ring (f) until it clicks into place.
• Plug the SmartPlug into an electrical outlet and place the
toothbrush handle (d) on the charging unit.
• A battery symbol should appear in the handle display (e).
The battery symbol will fill up while the handle is being
charged and «Charging» will be displayed. When the
handle is fully charged, the handle display shows «Full
Charge». A full charge takes at least 10 hours and enables
approximately 10 days of regular brushing (twice a day,
2 minutes).
Please note: If the battery symbol is not displayed
immediately, continue charging. It will appear in
10–15 minutes.
• When the rechargeable battery is low, the bars of the
battery symbol will disappear and «Low» will be displayed.
Your toothbrush will slow down and then stop. It is time
to recharge your Oral-B Professional Care. When the battery
is fully discharged, «Empty» is displayed. It will then need a
15-minute charge before you can use it for a 2-minute
brushing.
• For everyday use, the toothbrush handle can be stored on
the charging unit to maintain it at full power. There is no risk
of overcharging the battery. However, for environmental
reasons, Oral-B recommends to unplug the charging unit
until the next recharge is required.

• To maintain the maximum capacity of the rechargeable
battery, unplug the charging unit and fully discharge the
handle with regular use at least every 6 months.
For electric specifications, see printing on the SmartPlug.
Personalizing your toothbrush
You can program your toothbrush so that it meets your
specific needs. You can choose the language and the timer
that works best for you.
Select your language
Your toothbrush comes with the English language activated.
If you wish to switch to another language, proceed as follows:
Press and hold the brushing mode button (c) until «English»
is displayed. You can scroll through 13 different languages by
briefly pressing the on/off button (b). To confirm the desired
language, briefly press the brushing mode button again.
This will also lead you to the timer choice menu.
Select your timer
You can choose between the «Professional» or «2-Minute»
timer to meet your specific needs.
The «2-Minute Timer» indicates by a long stuttering sound
when the dentist recommended 2-minute brushing time has
been reached.
The «Professional Timer» helps you brush all four quadrants of
your mouth equally. It signals with a short stuttering sound at
30-second intervals (45 seconds intervals within «Deep Clean»
mode) that it is time to move to the next quadrant of your
mouth, followed by a long stuttering sound when you reach
the recommended two minute mark.
The total brushing time can be extended to 3 minutes by
using the «Deep Clean» mode (see «Brushing modes»).
Both timers memorize the elapsed brushing time, even when
the handle is briefly switched off during brushing. When
pausing longer than 30 seconds the timer resets to the initial
starting point.
Your toothbrush comes with the «Professional Timer»
activated. If you wish to switch to the «2-Minute Timer» press
the on/off button (b) after you have confirmed the language.
Then, press the brushing mode button (c) to confirm your
choice.

Brushing
You can start your toothbrush by pressing the on/off button
(b). To avoid splashing, guide the brush head to your teeth
before switching the appliance on.
Brushing technique
• Guide the brush head slowly from tooth to tooth.
• Hold the brush head in place for a few seconds before
moving on to the next tooth.
• Brush the gums as well as the teeth, first the outsides, then
the insides, finally the chewing surfaces.
• Do not press too hard or scrub, simply let the brush do all
the work.
Oral-B Professional Care SmartSeries 4750 has a pressure
control feature to help ensure that the right degree of pressure
is applied. This helps protect your gums from excessive
brushing and makes your toothbrush easy to operate. If too
much pressure is applied, the oscillating movement of the
brush head will continue but the pulsation will stop. In addition
to feeling the change, you can also hear a different sound.
In the first days of using the toothbrush, your gums may bleed
slightly. In general bleeding should stop after a few days.
Should it persist after two weeks, please consult your dentist
or dental hygienist. If you have sensitive teeth and gums,
Oral-B recommends using the «Sensitive» mode.
Brushing modes (depending on model)
Your toothbrush offers different brushing modes for varying
oral care needs:
«Daily Clean» – Exceptional mouth cleaning.
«Sensitive» – Gentle, yet thorough cleaning for
sensitive areas.
«Massage» – Gentle massage of gums.
«Whitening» – Whitening for occasional or everyday
use.
«Deep Clean» – Exceptional mouth cleaning with
extended brushing time. Within this
mode the brushing time has been
extended to 45 seconds per quadrant
for a total brushing time of 3 minutes.

How to switch between brushing modes:
• When pressing the on/off button your toothbrush
automatically starts in the «Daily Clean» mode.
• To switch to the other modes, successively press the mode
button (c).
• To return from any mode to the «Daily Clean» mode, press
and hold the mode button.
• To turn your brush off, press the on/off button.
During brushing, the handle display shows the brushing mode
you have selected, followed by your actual brushing time.
When finished brushing, the total brushing time will be
displayed for 30 seconds before the display switches back
to the battery charge level. To directly get the battery charge
level display, you can clear the brushing time display by
pushing the brushing mode button (c).
Please note: The «Whitening» mode is best used with an
Oral-B ProWhite brush head (see «Brush heads»).
Brush heads
Oral-B Professional Care SmartSeries 4750 offers you a
variety of brush heads and accessories allowing you to select
those which meets best your individual needs. Replacement
brush heads and accessories are available in stores that sell
Oral-B products.
The Oral-B FlossAction brush head (a) is recommended for
everyday deep cleaning. It features micropulse bristles that
get deep in hard-to-reach areas between your teeth, gently
removing hidden plaque.
The Oral-B Sensitive brush head provides thorough cleaning
for sensitive teeth and gums. It has an extra soft bristle texture
that is gentle on teeth and gums.

For occasional or everyday whitening, please use the Oral-B
ProWhite brush head. It features a dentist-inspired polishing
cup to remove surface stains from coffee, tea and tobacco for
effective brightening. Please note that children under 12 years
old should not use the Oral-B ProWhite brush head.
Do not use the Oral-B FlossAction or Oral-B ProWhite
brush head with braces. We recommend using the Oral-B
Ortho brush head, which is specifically designed to clean
around braces and wires.
All brush heads feature blue Indicator
®
bristles helping you to
monitor brush head replacement need. With proper brushing,
twice a day for two minutes, the blue color will fade halfway
approximately within 3 months, signaling that it is time to
change the brush head.
Cleaning recommendations
• After brushing, rinse your brush head thoroughly under
running water.
• Remove the brush head from the handle and clean both
parts separately under running water. Then, wipe them dry
before you put the handle on the charging unit.
• Before cleaning your charging unit, make sure you
disassemble it first. The charging ring and the SmartPlug
should never be placed in the dishwasher. All other parts
(base plate and protective cover) are dishwasher-safe.
• From time to time, you can also clean the charging ring and
SmartPlug unit with a damp cloth. The SmartPlug charger
should never be placed in water.

Cómo conectar y cargar
Este cepillo dental tiene un mango a prueba de agua, no
presenta riesgo de choque eléctrico y está diseñado para
usarse en el cuarto de baño.
Para ensamblar el cargador, inserte la cubierta protectora (h)
en la parte posterior del soporte de la base (g). Luego,
coloque el soporte de la base en el cargador compacto (f)
hasta que se trabe en su lugar.
• Conecte el enchufe SmartPlug a un tomacorriente y coloque
el mango del cepillo dental (d) en el cargador.
• El indicador de carga de la batería aparecerá en la pantalla
del mango (e). Cuando el mango se está cargando,
aparecerá la palabra «Cargar» (Charging) y el símbolo de la
batería se irá llenando hasta completarse. Cuando el mango
está completamente cargado, el mango muestra la carga
completa «Cargar comp» (Full Charge). Una carga completa
toma por lo menos 10 horas y permite un cepillado regular
(dos veces al día, durante 2 minutos) por aproximadamente
10 días.
Nota: Si el indicador de carga no aparece inmediatamente,
continúe con la carga; lo verá en unos 10 a 15 minutos.
• Cuando la batería recargable esté baja, las barras
indicadoras de la batería desaparecerán y aparecerá la
palabra «Baja carga» (Low). El funcionamiento del cepillo
dental disminuirá hasta detenerse. Es hora de recargar el
cepillo dental Oral-B Professional Care. Cuando la batería
está completamente descargada, aparecerá la palabra «Sin
carga» (Empty). Deberá recargarlo durante 15 minutos para
poder realizar un cepillado de 2 minutos.
• Para usar el cepillo dental a diario, puede dejar el mango
colocado en el cargador a fin de mantener la carga máxima.
No hay riesgo de sobrecargar la batería. Sin embargo, por
razones ambientales, Oral-B recomienda desconectar el
cargador hasta que necesite recargar la batería.

• Para mantener la capacidad máxima de la batería
recargable, desconecte el cargador y descargue el mango
completamente usándolo regularmente. Descargue la
batería completamente por lo menos cada 6 meses.

Cómo personalizar el cepillo de
dientes
Puede programar el cepillo de dientes para que se adapte
a sus necesidades. Puede escoger el idioma y el tiempo de
cepillado que prefiera.
Escoja su idioma
El cepillo viene activado en el idioma inglés. Si desea cambiar
el idioma, siga los siguientes pasos:
Oprima y mantenga presionado el botón selector de modo (c)
hasta que muestre «Inglés» (English) en la pantalla. Podrá
visualizar los 13 idiomas disponibles al presionar de forma
rápida el botón de encendido y apagado (b). Para confirmar el
idioma deseado, presione de forma rápida el botón selector
de modo de cepillado una vez más. Este botón también lo
llevará al menú de selección de medidor de tiempo.
Escoja el medidor de tiempo
Para adaptar el cepillo a sus necesidades personales, puede
escoger entre el medidor de tiempo profesional «Profesional»
(Professional) o el de «2 minutos» (2-Minute).
Mediante un sonido largo e intermitente, el medidor de
2 minutos indica que transcurrió el lapso de 2 minutos de
cepillado que recomiendan los dentistas.
El medidor de tiempo profesional le ayuda a cepillar los cuatro
cuadrantes de la boca en forma homogénea. Por medio de un
sonido corto e intermitente, a intervalos de 30 segundos (de
45 segundos en el modo «Limpieza profunda» (Deep Clean)),
el medidor le indicará que debe pasar al siguiente cuadrante
de la boca. Al final, un sonido largo e intermitente le indicará
que ya transcurrieron los dos minutos de cepillado recomen-
dados.
El tiempo total de cepillado puede extenderse a 3 minutos
usando el «Modo de limpieza profunda» (Deep Clean) (ver
«Modos de cepillado» (Brushing modes)). Ambos medidores
memorizan el tiempo de cepillado transcurrido, aun cuando
el mango se apague brevemente durante el cepillado. El
medidor se reajustará al punto inicial solamente si la pausa
es mayor de 30 segundos.

El cepillo dental viene con el medidor de «tiempo profesional»
activado. Si desea cambiar al medidor de tiempo de «2
minutos», presione el botón de encendido y apagado (b)
después de haber confirmado el idioma deseado. Luego
presione el botón selector de modo de cepillado (c) para
confirmar su elección.
Cepillado
Para encender el cepillo dental oprima el botón de encendido
y apagado (b). Para evitar salpicaduras, acerque el cabezal a
los dientes antes de encender el aparato.
Técnica de cepillado
• Guíe el cabezal lentamente de un diente a otro.
• Sostenga el cabezal unos segundos sobre cada diente
antes de pasar al siguiente.
• Cepille las encías al mismo tiempo que los dientes, primero
por la cara exterior, luego por la cara interior y finalmente
sobre las superficies de masticación.
• No presione demasiado ni restriegue; mas bien deje que el
cepillo haga todo el trabajo.
Oral-B Professional Care SmartSeries 4750 tiene una función
de control de presión para asegurar que se aplique la presión
correcta. Esto ayuda a proteger las encías contra el cepillado
excesivo y facilita el uso del cepillo dental. Si se ejerce mucha
presión, el movimiento oscilatorio del cabezal continuará,
pero las pulsaciones se detendrán. Además de sentir este
cambio, también escuchará un sonido distinto.
Durante los primeros días de uso de este cepillo dental, las
encías pueden sangrar levemente. Por lo general, el sangrado
desaparecerá después de unos días. Si el sangrado continúa al
cabo de dos semanas, consulte con su dentista o higienista
dental. Si tiene dientes o encías sensibles, Oral-B le recomienda
usar el modo «Sensible» (Sensitive).

Modos de cepillado (según el modelo)
El cepillo dental cuenta con distintos modos de cepillado que
se adaptan a las diversas necesidades de cuidado oral:
«Limpieza diaria» – Limpieza bucal excepcional.
(Daily Clean)
«Sensible» – Limpieza delicada pero minuciosa de las
(Sensitive) zonas sensibles.
«Masaje» – Masaje suave de las encías.
(Massage)
«Blanqueado» – Blanqueado para uso ocasional o
(Whitening) cotidiano.
«Limpieza – Limpieza bucal excepcional con tiempo
profunda» de cepillado prolongado. En este modo,
(Deep Clean) el tiempo de cepillado es de 45 segun-
dos por cuadrante, para alcanzar un
tiempo total de cepillado de 3 minutos
Cómo seleccionar el modo de cepillado:
• Al oprimir el botón de encendido y apagado, el cepillo
dental empieza a funcionar automáticamente en el modo de
«limpieza diaria».
• Para elegir otros modos, oprima sucesivamente el botón
selector de modo (c).
• Para regresar al modo de «limpieza diaria» desde cualquier
otro modo, oprima y sostenga el botón selector de modo.
• Para apagar el cepillo dental, oprima el botón de encendido
y apagado.
Durante el cepillado, el mango muestra el modo de cepillado
que ha seleccionado seguido por su tiempo de cepillado real.
Cuando termine de cepillarse, la pantalla indicará el tiempo
total de cepillado durante 30 segundos y luego pasará a
mostrar el nivel de carga de la batería. Para que se muestre
el nivel de carga de la batería directamente, puede borrar el
tiempo de cepillado presionando el botón selector de modo
de cepillado (c).
Nota: El modo de «blanqueado» se usa mejor con un cabezal
Oral-B ProWhite (ver «cabezales» (Brush heads)).

El cabezal Oral-B FlossAction (a) se recomienda para la
