Thank you for purchasing the Escali Vera Digital Scale.
Please read the following operation information to ensure the
proper function of your new scale.
HOW TO WEIGH
1. Press the /TARE key. All display segments will appear for
approximately 3 seconds before resetting to zero.
2. Press the UNIT key to select the units.
(g, ml, oz, lb + oz, or fl oz)
3. Slowly place an item on the platform, and the weight will be shown
on the display.
4. Remove the item. Press and hold the /TARE key to turn the scale
off.
HOW TO USE THE “TARE” FEATURE
This feature allows you to obtain the exact weight of an item in a con-
tainer by subtracting the weight of the container.
1. Slowly place the container, without the item, on the platform.
2. Press the /TARE key. The weight of the container will be
removed, and the display will reset to zero.
3. Slowly add the item to the container. The display will show the
weight of the item only.
4. You may continue to determine the weight of each additional item
as they are added by repeating steps 2 & 3.
HOW TO CLEAR THE “TARE” FEATURE
1. Remove all items from the platform.
2. Press the /TARE key.
BACK-LIGHT DISPLAY
•
The back-light will turn on with the scale, and when a button is
pressed, or when an item is placed on the scale.
•
The back-light turns off after 10 seconds of inactivity.

PROPER USE & CARE
•
Use and stow the scale at room temperature.
•
Use on a flat, level, and stable surface. This scale is an instrument
of precision. Do not submit the scale to shaking, excessive vibra-
tion, or other rough treatment.
•
The display may be affected by electromagnetic disturbances such
as radios, microwaves, or cell phones. If such disturbances occur,
remove the source of the disturbance, and restart the scale.
•
Disassembling, or tampering with the scale voids the warranty.
•
Clean the scale with a damp cloth. Do not submerge in liquid. The
scale is not waterproof.
•
For best results, use alkaline batteries.
•
Install only new batteries of the same type in your product.
•
Failure to insert batteries in the correct polarity, as indicated in the
battery compartment, may shorten the life of the batteries, or cause
batteries to leak.
•
Do not mix Alkaline, Standard (Carbon-Zinc), or Rechargeable
(Nickel Cadmium), or Nickel Metal Hydride batteries, this includes
“old” and “new” batteries.
•
Batteries should be recycled, or disposed of as per state and local
guidelines. Do not dispose of batteries in fire!

CÓMO PESAR
1. Pulse el botón /TARE (Tara). Todos los segmentos de la pantalla

1. Coloque lentamente el recipiente sin el elemento sobre la plataforma.
2. Pulse la tecla /TARE. Se removerá el peso del contenedor y la
pantalla se restablecerá a cero.
3. Agregue lentamente el elemento al contenedor. La pantalla solamente
mostrará el peso del elemento.
4. Usted puede continuar determinando el peso de cada elemento adicio-
nal a medida que se agregan repitiendo los pasos 2 y 3.
CÓMO BORRAR LA FUNCIÓN "TARE"

USO Y CUIDADO APROPIADOS
•
Use y guarde la báscula a temperatura ambiente.
•
Use sobre una superficie plana, nivelada y estable. Esta báscula es
un instrumento de precisión. No someta la báscula a temblores,
vibración excesiva u otro tratamiento rudo.
•
La pantalla puede verse afectada por perturbaciones electromag-
néticas como radios, microondas o teléfonos celulares. Si se pre-
sentan dichos disturbios, retire la fuente de la perturbación y reini-
cie la báscula.
•
Desmontar o modificar la báscula anulará la garantía.
•
Limpie la báscula con un paño húmedo. No la sumerja en líquido.
La báscula no es impermeable.
•
Para mejores resultados, use baterías alcalina.
•
Instale solamente baterías nuevas del mismo tipo en su producto.
•
Si las baterías no se insertan con la polaridad correcta, como se
indica en el compartimento de las baterías, puede acortarse la vida
útil de las baterías, o causar fugas en las baterías.
•
No mezcle baterías Alcalinas, Estándar (cinc-carbono), Recarga-
bles (níquel-cadmio), o Níquel-Hidruro Metálico, esto incluye bate-
rías viejas y nuevas.
•
Las baterías deben reciclarse o desecharse correctamente de

COMMENT PESER
1. Appuyer sur la touche /TARE. Tous les segments d'affichage
apparaissent pendant environ 3 secondes avant la remise à zéro

4. Ajouter lentement le produit dans le contenant. L'écran affichera
seulement le poids de l'article.
5. Vous pouvez continuer à déterminer le poids de chaque article
supplémentaire que l'on ajoute en répétant les étapes 2 et 3.

BON USAGE ET ENTRETIEN
•
Utiliser et ranger la balance à température ambiante.
•
Utiliser sur une surface plane, de niveau et stable. Cette balance est
un instrument de précision. Ne soumettez pas la balance à des se-
cousses, des vibrations excessives ou à un traitement brutal.
•
L'affichage peut être affecté par des perturbations électromagnétiques
telles que les radios, micro-ondes, ou les téléphones portables. Si de
telles perturbations se produisent, éliminer la source de la perturbation,
et redémarrez la balance.
•
Le démontage ou l'altération de la balance annule la garantie.
•
Nettoyer la balance avec un chiffon humide. Ne pas la plonger dans un
liquide. La balance n'est pas étanche.
•
Pour de meilleurs résultats, utilisez des piles alcaline.
•
