UTILITY CARTS and ACCESSORIES
Read all instructions before use.
Use protective gloves.
Do not open more than one loaded drawer at one time.
Do not step in or on any drawer or available ledge.
Close lid and lock drawers before moving the unit.

Introduction

outline care and operation of your new cart and will also
provide instructions for the attachment of accessories and
extended storage modules.
Lubrication
Slides - The MB199UC class of carts come standard with ball
bearing slides which do not require periodic lubrication and
should be maintenance free.
Locking Mechanisms – Periodically apply prescribed
lubrication to locks and lock mechanisms as needed. Key Lock
(graphite lock lubricant), Lock Lever (light grease or oil).
Casters – The casters on the MB199UC class of carts are
maintenance free. No lubrication access on swivel or wheel.
Wheel has oil impregnated bushing which sits in a delrin
bushing. This creates a very long lasting smooth wear surface.
Drawers with Ball Bearing Slides
To remove a drawer, follow these steps
1. Empty all contents from drawer.
2. Pull drawer out to its full extended length.
3. Find the lever on the side of the drawer slides.
On the right hand slide PUSH DOWN the lever,
simultaneously PULL UP the lever on the left
hand slide and pull the drawer out over the stops.
To install a drawer, follow these steps
1. Pull the slides out to their full extended position.
2. Align the slides with the runners on the drawer and
push the drawer in keeping it level and even. It will
require some force over the last several inches to

Removing drawer runners and slides
1. Remove the target drawer and drawers immediately
above and below to give better access to the slides.
2. Pull slides out to their full extended position.
and lightly twist or pry to create separation between
the slide frame and the box. At the same time lift on
the slide until it snaps out of position.
4. Pull the slide forward and remove.
Installing drawer runners and slides
1. Align tab on back edge of the slide with square
notch at the back edge of the slide support wall.
2. Insert forward tab on slide into slot on cabinet slide
support wall and push down until the slide snaps
into postion and is horizontal.

Removing drawer runners
1. Locate the forward tab on the inside wall of the
drawer body.
2. With a slim object like a screwdriver, push in the
protruding lower edge of the tab.
3. While pushing in the tab (on step 2) lift up on the
drawer runner until it pops free and slide it forward.

Attaching or Removing corner rails
The MB199UC cart platform accepts channeled corner rails which
allow the attachment of a variety of accessories. Below are
instructions for installing and removing the rails from the base cart.
Attaching Rails -
Instructions refer to the attachment or
removal of one rail at a time.
1. Remove the existing 4 fasteners (X.) from the locations
on the cart (W.) .
2. Place the large back wall of the corner rail
(V.) against
cart and align the holes between the cart and rail.
NOTE: the rails should be oriented like the image below
with the smaller channel facing outward towards either
the front or back of the cart.
3. Insert the top most fastener and let the rail settle down
onto the fastener. Hold the rail in t
hat settled
position while fully tightening. NOTE: This will ensure
the rail is not too high and does not interfer with the
slide out upper tray when opened.
4. Proceed with inserting the other fasteners starting from
the bottom up. NOTE: make sure to fully tighten all
fasteners.
Removing Rails - Instructions refer to the attachment or
removal of one rail at a time.
1. Follow the attachment instructions but reverse the
order of operations. Be sure to start with the lowest
fastener.
Attaching corner rail caps
After attaching the rails, side handle, bumpers and
accessories, install the corner rail caps.
1. Place the corner rail cap (Q.)
(P.)
on the top surface of the
corner rail making sure to align the cap holes with the
holes on the corner rail (O.) .

secure. DO NOT over tighten or you risk damaging the
rail cap. NOTE: the holes in the corner rails are
forming screw that will cut their own thread.

NOTE: Use 5mm hex drive on fasteners when attaching or
removing rails. DO NOT over torque rail mount fasteners as this
may cause fastener heads to be stripped during removal.
NOTE: Rails not standard on MB188UC and MB188UCFD.

Attaching and relocating Side Handle and Bumpers
The MB199UC utility cart platform accepts a height adjustable side
handle that attaches using the same method as the accessories.
1. Using the supplied wedge nut (I.) and the button
head fastener (H.) insert the fastener through the
mounting holes on the handle bracket .
2. Once the fastener has been inserted into the handle
bracket, thread a small portion of the wedge nut (I.)
onto the fastener (H.) NOTE: leave enough slack in
the thread to easily maneuver the assembly into
place on the carts corner rail slots.
3. Attach all four threaded nut assemblies (J.) to both sides of
the accessory before placing in the slot of the corner rails.
4. Once the threaded nuts are inserted in the slot on the
corner rails, lower into desired position and fully tighten
to prev
ent the accessory from moving in use.
Attaching Bumpers
The MB199UC utility cart platform accepts a height adjustable
bumper to help protect both the cart and vehicles from damage.
1. Using the supplied hex nut (K.) and the button
head fastener (L.) insert the fastener through the
mounting holes on the bumper and partially thread
on the nut leaving plenty of slack.
2. Once both fasteners and hex nuts are connected to
the bumper, insert the hex nut into the smaller of the
two tracks (N.) on the carts corner rails. You may have
to twist the hex nut to align it with the track.
3. Once both nuts are inserted, slide into the desired
height and tighten the fastener. DO NOT over tighten
the fastener or you may damage the bumper.

Attaching and relocating accessories
The MB199UC utility cart platform accepts a variety of
specially designed accessories that attach via the corner rail
system. This system allows you to create a custom

the same attachment process.
1. Using the supplied wedge nut (I.) and the button
head fastener (H.) insert the fastener through the
most outboard mounting hole on the accessory you
wish to attach.
2. Thread a small portion of the wedge nut (I.) onto the
fastener (H.) NOTE: leave enough slack in the thread
to easily maneuver the assembly into place on the
carts corner rail slots.
3. Attach threaded nut assemblies (J.) to both sides of the
accessory before placing in the slot of the corner rails.
4. Once the threaded nuts are inserted in the slot on the
corner rails, lower into desired position and fully tighten
to prevent the accessory from moving in use.
NOTE: The accessory fasteners may need tightened periodically
to help prevent the accessories from moving.

LOWER ACCESSORY TRAY INSTALLATION
- Refer to cart manual for further attachment information
1.
Remove the 3 sheet metal screws holding
down the lower fascia piece. Lift the piece
up to clear the hooks on each end.
2.
Install the slide on the left and right side
walls of the lower static shelf. Follow the
slide installation instructions on page 2 of
the carts instruction manual.
3.
Install the lower accessory tray and test t
to make sure there is correct spacing
between the left and right slide support
brackets. If the lower accessory tray is too
loose or too tight you can adjust the slide
support brackets using the two mount
screws.

Locking Drawers
1. To lock the lower drawers on the MB199UC locate the
lever arm (Y.) on the back wall of the top compartment
as shown below.
2. Shift the lever (Y.) to align with either the lock or unlock
icon label in front of the lever.
NOTE: if no icons are present (Lever shifted to the
right is Un-locked and Lever shifted to the left is Locked)
Locking Cabinet and Top Compartment
The MB199UC utilizes the same standard barrel lock as the larger
storage boxes. NOTE: Make sure the serial number listed on the
front face of the lock matches the serial number listed on the keys.
1. The main barrel lock engages lock rods (Z.) on the
inside of the top compartment which prohibit the top
slide out trays from opening.
NOTE: to prevent the lock rods (Z.) from sticking in the
retracted position apply a light duty lubricant to the rods.

Attaching the SIDE BOX OR SIDE CABINET to the
MB199UC, MB199UCFD.
If your cart has the aluminum side rails attached you will need
to remove them before following installation instructions.
Make sure the casters are properly attached to the
MB199UCSB or MB199UCSC using the caster installation
instructions from the MB199UC manual.
1. Locate the four threaded holes running vertically up the
side of the cart in each corner. If the top threaded hole
is number 1, partially thread in the 6 bolts (A.)
included with the MB199UCSB or MB199UCSC into
the holes 2, 3 and 4 (make sure at least 0.125” of
thread is visible).
2. Make sure the casters on the cart are in the fully locked
position. On the mount side of the MB199UCSB or
MB199UCSC locate the 3 keyway shaped holes (B.)
running vertically up the side of the cabinet in each
corner.
3. Lift the MB199UCSB or MB199UCSC so that the
largest diameter of the keyway shaped holes align with
the 6 mount bolts (A.) from step 1. Push the cart and
MB199UCSB or MB199UCSC together until they are
ush together.
4. Push down the MB199UCSB or MB199UCSC until
it is fully seated on the mount bolts (A.)
5. Remove the drawers from the MB199UCSB or
MB199UCSC and lift the top compartment lid to
allow access to the heads of the mount bolts (A.)
6. Fully tighten the mount bolts (A.) using the access
holes provided in the interior of the MB199UCSB or
MB199UCSC.

Attaching Casters to Side Box or Side Cabinet
Your Side Box/Cab does not have casters pre-installed, you will
need to install the casters before attaching the Side Box/Cab to
the MB199UC utility cart.
1. Select which side of the Side Box/Cab will mount to
the MB199UC. The casters will mount to the opposite
side of Side Box/Cab that will mount to the MB199UC
utility cart.
2. Locate the 4 mounting holes (dd.) in each corner and
align the holes on the supplied caster mounting plate.
3. Insert all 4 fasteners and completely tighten.
Locking Casters
The casters on the left side (ee.) of the cart are 360 degree swivel
casters which can be locked or made immobile by depressing the
lock lever.
The casters on the of the cart are 360 degree swivel
depressing the lock lever. NOTE: this does not immobilze the
wheel from spinning only the caster from swiveling.
NOTE: The casters that come standard on the Side Box/Cab are
the 360 degree swivel casters which can be locked or made
immobile by depressing the lock lever.

Utiliser de gants de protection
Porter une protection oculaire adéquate
Ne jamais ouvrir plus d’un tiroir plein à la fois.
Ne pas utiliser les tiroirs ou les étagères comme
marchepied.
Refermer le couvercle et verrouiller les tiroirs avant de
déplacer le chariot.
Appliquer les freins sur les roulettes lorsque le chariot est en
position stationnaire.
Ne poser ou installer sur le dessus du chariot aucun dispositif
qui n’aura pas été spécifiquement conçu pour le chariot et
dont l’utilisation n’aura pas été homologuée. Tous les
accessoires homologués sont énumérés dans la section
Accessoires de ce manuel de l’utilisateur.
Pour prévenir tout risque de dommages corporels, changer
immédiatement toute charnière ou glissière à rou-lements
à billes endommagée en utilisant exclusivement des pièces
de rechange agrées par le fabricant.
L’installation incorrecte des tiroirs et glissieres peut
engendrer des blessures corporelles.
Vérier systématiquement que les butées de tiroirs sont
pleinement opérationnelles et fonctionnent correctement.
Introduction
Pour exploiter au mieux votre nouveau chariot mobile Mac Tools
et prolonger sa durée de vie, suivez les ins-tructions de
maintenance et d’utilisation fournies dans ce manuel de
l’utilisateur. Ce manuel de l’utilisateur précisera les procédures
d’entretien et d’utilisation de votre nouveau chariot et vous
fournira aussi des instructions concernant l’ajout d’accessoires et
de modules de rangement supplémentaires.
Lubrification
Glissières - La série MB199UC de chariots est équipée en
standard de glissières à roulements à billes qui ne requièrent
aucune lubrification périodique ni aucune maintenance.
Mécanismes de verrouillage – Le cas échéant, appliquez
périodiquement la lubrification prescrite sur les ser-rures et
mécanismes de verrouillage. Serrure (lubrifiant au graphite
pour serrure), Levier de verrouillage (graisse légère ou huile).
Roulettes – Les roulettes sur la série de chariots MB199UC
ne requièrent aucune maintenance. Aucun point de lubrifi-
cation sur les pivots ou les roues. Les roues sont équipées
d’une bague huilée posée sur une bague Delrin. Cela crée
une surface lisse de très longue durée.
Tiroirs à glissières à roulements à billes
Pour retirer un tiroir, suivez la procédure.
1. Videz le contenu du tiroir.
2. Ouvrez le tiroir à fond.
3. Localisez le levier sur le côté des glissières du tiroir.
Sur la glissière droite APPUYEZ sur le levier, et
simultanément TIREZ VERS LE HAUT le levier de la
glissière gauche puis tirez le tiroir en le faisant
passer par-dessus les butées.
4. Le tiroir peut alors être complètement retiré.
Pour installer un tiroir, suivez la procédure.
1. Tirez à fond les glissières.
2. Alignez les glissières sur les rails du tiroir et poussez
ce dernier en le maintenant de niveau et horizon-
tal. Cela demandera un peu de force sur les
derniers centimètres pour placer le tiroir dans sa
position finale. C’est normal et obligatoire pour
réaligner correctement les roulements à billes

2. Tirez à fond les glissières.
3. Insérez un tournevis à tête plate sous le bord
supérieur et tournez légèrement pour créer un
interstice entre la structure de la glissière et le
boîtier. En même temps, soulevez la glissière
jusqu’à ce qu’elle sorte de sa position.
4. Tirez la glissière vers l’avant et retirez-la.
Installation des rails et glissières de tiroir
1. Alignez la languette sur le bord arrière de la
glissière sur l’encoche carrée du bord arrière de la
paroi du support de glissière.
2. Insérez la languette avant sur la glissière dans
l’encoche sur la paroi du support de glissière du
chariot et poussez jusqu’à ce que la glissière
s’enclenche en position et reste horizontale.
3. Vérifiez que la glissière est fermement et
correctement positionnée avant de réinstaller le
tiroir.
Retrait des rails de tiroir
1. Cherchez la languette avant sur la paroi interne
du corps du tiroir.
2. À l’aide d’un objet fin, tel un tournevis, repoussez
le bord inférieur externe de la languette.
3. Tout en repoussant la languette (de l’étape 2)
soulevez le rail du tiroir jusqu’à le libérer puis
tirez-le vers l’avant.

Installation ou retrait des rails de coin
La plateforme du chariot MB199UC peut être équipée de rails de
coin à gorge permettant d’y rattacher toute sorte d’accessoires.
Vous trouverez ci-dessous des instructions pour installer et retirer
ces rails du châssis du chariot.
REMARQUE: Rails ne sont pas standards sur les MB188UC &
MB188UCFD.
Installation des rails de coin - Ces instructions se rapportent à
l’installation ou au retrait d’un rail à la fois.
REMARQUE: Utiliser 5mm de mouvement hexagonal sur les
xations lors des operations de montages ou de demontages
des rails. NE PAS trop serrer la vise qui monte les rails car cela
peut causer des domages sur la vise principal pendant le
demontages.
1. Retirez les 4 attaches (X.) de leur emplacement sur le
chariot (W.) .
2. Placez la large paroi arrière du rail de coin (V.) contre le
chariot et alignez les trous du chariot et du rail.
REMARQUE: les rails devraient être orientés comme
illustré ci-dessous avec la plus petite gorge orientée vers
l’extérieur vers l’avant ou l’arrière du chariot.
3. Insérez l’attache la plus haute puis laissez le rail se
poser sur l’attache. Maintenez le rail dans cette
position tout en serrant fermement. REMARQUE: cela
permettra au rail de ne pas être trop haut pour qu’il
n’interfère pas avec le glissement du plateau supérieur
lors de sa sortie.
4. Continuez en insérant les autres attaches en
commençant par la plus basse. REMARQUE:
assurez-vous de serrer soigneusement toutes les
attaches.
Retrait des rails - Ces instructions se rapportent à l’installation
ou au retrait d’un rail à la fois.
1. Suivez en sens inverse les instructions relatives à
l’installation du rail. Assurez-vous de bien commencer
avec l’attache la plus basse.
Installation des capuchons des rails de coin
Une fois les rails de coin, la poignée latérale, les pare-chocs et
les accessoires installés, posez les capuchons des rails de coin.

Placez un capuchon de rail de coin (Q.) sur la partie
supérieure du rail de coin en vous assurant de bien aligner
les trous du capuchon sur les trous du rail de coin (O.) .

Une fois le capuchon en place, utilisez les vis à tête plate (P.)
pour l’arrimer. Attention à NE PAS trop serrer afin de ne pas
risquer d’endommager le capuchon de rail. REMARQUE: les
trous des rails de coin ne sont pas taraudés. Les vis à tête
plate (P.) sont des vis spéciales pouvant créer leur propre
filetage alors qu’elles sont vissées.

4. Une fois les écrous taraudés insérés dans les encoch-
es des rails de coin, réglez vers le bas dans la position
désirée puis serrez soigneusement pour éviter que
l’accessoire ne bouge lors de l’utilisation.
Installation des pare-chocs
La plateforme du chariot à outils MB199UC peut être équipée
d’un pare-chocs à hauteur réglable pour permettre de
protéger le chariot et les véhicules de tout dommage.
1. En utilisant l’écrou hexagonal (K.) et la vis à tête
ronde (L.) fournis, insérez la vis dans les trous de
montage du pare-chocs et vissez partiellement
l’écrou en laissant assez de jeu.
2. Une fois les deux vis et écrous hexagonaux rattachés
au pare-chocs, insérez les écrous hexagonaux dans la
plus petite des deux gorges (N.) des rails de coin du
chariot. Vous pouvez tourner l’écrou hexagonal pour
l’aligner sur la gorge.
3. Une fois les deux écrous insérés, réglez à la hauteur
désirée puis resserrez les attaches. Faites attention à
NE PAS trop serrer afin de ne pas risquer d’endom-
mager le pare-chocs.

Installation et déplacement de la poignée latérale et des
pare-chocs
La plateforme du chariot à outils MB199UC peut être équipée
d’une poignée latérale à hauteur réglable qui se rattache de la
même manière que les accessoires.
1. En utilisant l’écrou de manœuvre de l’opercule (I.) et la
vis à tête ronde (H.) fournis, insérez la vis dans les
trous de montage du dispositif de fixation de la
poignée.
2. Une fois la vis insérée dans le dispositif de fixation de
la poignée, vissez une petite portion de l’écrou de
manœuvre de l’opercule (I.) sur la vis (H.).
REMARQUE: laissez assez de jeu pour faciliter l’assem-
blage sur les encoches des rails de coin du chariot.
3. Insérez l’ensemble des quatre dispositifs d’écrou
taraudé (J.) de chaque côté de l’accessoire avant
l’installation sur les encoches des rails de coin.
