Section 3. Install New Transceiver
J-Box Assembly
1. Remove the new transceiver J-Box assembly
from the packaging.
2. Remove the two (2) new mounting screws from
the packaging.
3. Using the existing mounting holes and the new
mounting screws, secure the new transceiver
J-Box to the mounting surface.
NOTE: For optimal performance, ensure that the
transceiver J-Box is mounted at least 6 feet above
the ground, and 8 feet from brush-type motors
such as blowers, which can cause interference.
4. Feed the four conductor wire into the power
center through the low voltage raceway.
5. Connect the four conductor wire to the red four-
pin connector that was set aside in the Remove
Existing Transceiver section.
6. Connect the red four-pin connector to the red
terminal bar on the power center PCB.
7. Install the dead panel to the power center and
restore all power.
Section 4. Replace Existing
Transceiver J-Box
Hardware
WARNING
Risk of Electric Shock which can result in Serious Injury
or Death. Before attempting installation or service, ensure that all
power to the circuit supplying power to the system is disconnected or
turned off at the circuit breaker.
All wiring must be done in accordance with the National Electric Code
(NEC), NFPA-70. In Canada, the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC),
CSA C22.1, must be followed. All applicable local installation codes
and regulations must be followed.
NOTE: Use the following procedure only if replacing
the transceiver J-Box hardware with Jandy part
number R0443300.
1. Turn off all power to the power center.
2. Remove the existing two (2) screws that secure
the cover to the transceiver J-Box (see Figure 2).
Remove the cover.
3. Remove the existing gasket from the transceiver
J-Box.
NOTE: The gasket may have adhered to the cover
removed in Step 2.
4. Remove the new gasket from the packaging.
Place the gasket on the transceiver J-Box
housing. When placing the gasket, ensure
that the holes punched out in the gasket line
up with the screw holes on the transceiver
J-Boxhousing.
5. Remove the new cover from the packaging.
6. Remove the two (2) new screws from the
packaging.
7. Using the new screws, secure the new cover
tothe transceiver J-Box housing.
8. Restore power to the system.
