Intended use
Your BLACK+DECKER™ OR070D-B5, OR070D-B9,
OR090D-B5 and OR090D-B9 oil filled radiators have been
designed for heating rooms.
This product is intended for consumer use only.
Thank you for choosing BLACK+DECKER. We hope that
you will enjoy using this product for many years.
For indoor household use only.
This appliance is not to be used in:
• Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working
environments;
• Farm Houses;
• By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type
environments;
• Bed and breakfast type environments or any other
non-household type environments.

Using your appliance
• Always take care when using the appliance.
• Never pull the power supply cord to disconnect the plug
from the socket.
• Keep the power supply cord away from heat, oil and
sharp edges.
• Do not place the appliance on or near heat sources.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• If the power supply cord is damaged during use,
disconnect the appliance from the power supply
immediately. Do not touch the power supply cord before
disconnecting from the power supply.
• Disconnect the appliance from the power supply when
not in use, before fitting or removing parts and before
cleaning.
• Never let the appliance operate unattended.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table,
counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Fully uncoil then guide the power supply cord neatly so it
cannot be caught accidentally or tripped over.
• The radiator must not be located immediately below a
socket-outlet.
• To prevent overload and blown fuses, do not plug other
appliance into same outlet (receptacle).
• Do not place the radiator on carpets, don’t place the
cable under carpets. Arrange cord away from track areas
so that it will not be tripped over.
• This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry
areas or similar moist indoor locations. Never locate
heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water
container. Do not use this radiator in the immediate
surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
Warning! In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the
radiator. NEVER use the radiator to dry clothes or similar
articles.
• Don’t touch the hot surfaces.
• Do not position the appliances in close proximity to
curtains or other combustible materials. Keep
combustible material such as furniture, cushions,
bedding, paper, clothes, curtains etc. at least 1.0m away
from the radiator.
• Always ensure that hands are dry before operating or
adjusting any switch on the product or touching the plug
and mains supply connections.
• Do not use this radiator with a programmer, timer,
separate remote-control system or any other device that
switches the radiator on automatically, since a fire risk
exists if the radiator is covered or positioned incorrectly.
• To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or
exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like
a bed, where openings may become blocked.
• Do not store away until the radiator cools down, store the
radiator in cool dry location when not in use.
• Don’t use extension cable.
• Always operate on a flat horizontal surface.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any
ventilation or exhaust opening, as this may cause an
electric shock, fire or damage to the appliance.
• Do not operate in areas where gasoline, paint or other
flammable liquids are used or stored.
• The most common cause of overheating is deposits of
dust or fluff in the appliance. Ensure these deposits are
removed regularly by unplugging the appliance and
vacuum cleaning air vents and grilles.

• Always use the radiator in an upright position.
• Do not use the appliance in rooms less than 4m2 area.
• To disconnect the appliance, switch it “OFF” then remove
the plug from outlet. Do not pull out the cord because this
could damage it.
• The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high
during use and for some time afterwards.
Warning! This radiator is not equipped with a device to control
the room temperature. Do not use this radiator in small rooms
when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the
room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.
• Always leave sufficient space around the radiator for
ventilation.
Safety of others
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
• Do not allow children or any person unfamiliar with these
instructions to use the appliance.
• Do not allow children or animals to come near the work
area or to touch the appliance or power supply cord.
• Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is
used near children.
• Children should be kept away unless continuously
supervised.
Caution! Some parts of this product can become very hot and
cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where
children and vulnerable people are present.
After use
• Remove the plug from the socket before leaving the
appliance unattended and before changing, cleaning or
inspecting any parts of the appliance.
• When not in use, the appliance should be stored in a dry
place. Children should not have access to stored
appliances.
Inspection and repairs
• Switch off the appliance before cleaning, changing
accessories or approaching parts which move in use.
• Before use, check the appliance for damaged or defective
parts. Check for breakage of parts, damage to switches
and any other conditions that may affect its operation.
• Do not use the appliance if any part is damaged or
defective.
• Have any damaged or defective parts repaired or replaced
by an authorised repair agent.
• Before use, check the power supply cord for signs of
damage, ageing and wear.
• Do not use the appliance if the power supply cord or mains
plug is damaged or defective.
• If the power supply cord or mains plug is damaged or
defective it must be repaired by an authorised repair agent
in order to avoid a hazard. Do not cut the power supply
cord and do not attempt to repair it yourself.
• Never attempt to remove or replace any parts other than
those specified in this manual.
• This heater is filled with a precise quantity of special oil.
Repairs requiring opening of oil-container are only to be
made by the manufacturer or his service agent who should
be contacted if there is an oil leak. When scrapping the
heater, follow the regulations concerning the disposal of oil.
Electrical safety
Before use, check that the mains voltage corresponds to the
voltage on the rating plate.
This product must be earthed. Always check

plug in any way.
• Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (Class 1)
appliances. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will

Assembly
Castor assembly (fig. A1, A2)
• Place the radiator inversely with the bottom upward.
• Connect and tighten two wheel carrier plates to the
screw hooks (10) with the wing nuts (9) as shown in
figure A1 and A2.
• Place the radiator upward after it is installed securely
with the wheels touching the ground.
Warning! Do not operate radiator without the wheels
assembled.
Operate radiator in upright position only (wheels on bottom,
controls on top). Any other position could create a hazardous
situation. Ensure that the surface beneath the radiator is
clean and free of any obstructions.
Use
Your appliance is fitted with a thermostat for your safety.
Using the appliance continuously for very long periods may
cause the appliance to overheat and stop working. It is
therefore recommended that you disconnect the appliance
from the
mains supply and allow to fully cool before continuing use.
• Use this heater on a horizontal and stable surface.
• Do not use this heater if it has been dropped;
• Do not use if there are visible signs of damage to the
heater;
• Connect it to the electricity supply. Ensure that the
thermostat is set to “MIN” position and the power
selection switch is set to “0” position
• Rotate power switch to the "3" position then turn the
thermostat to the "MAX" position, the unit will begin to
work, when the temperature rises to your are
satisfiaction, slowly turn the thermostat switch clockwise
until the room temperature keeps constant. If you want
to raise or lower the room temperature, you can make
another regulation: Turn the thermostat clockwise to
raise the temperature and counterclockwise to lower it.
• Set the thermostat to the required setting.
• After use, turn the power switch to the “0” position first,
then turn the thermostat to the “MIN” position, and pull
out the power supply plug.
Warning: Do not use this heater in small rooms when they
are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on
their own, unless constant supervision is provided.
Warning: To reduce the risk of fire, keep textiles, curtains, or
any other flammable material a minimum distance of 1 m
from the air outlet.
Cleaning and maintenance & storage
Warning! Before cleaning and maintenance, switch the
appliance off and remove the plug from the socket.
Warning! Do not immerse the appliance or the cord set or
the plug in water or any other liquid.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, scourers, acetone,
alcohol etc. to clean the appliance.
• Clean the unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse the unit
in water.
Mains plug replacement
If a new mains plug needs to be fitted:
• Safely dispose of the old plug.
• Connect the brown lead to the live terminal of the new
plug.
• Connect the blue lead to the neutral terminal.
• If the product is class l (earthed), connect the green /
yellow lead to the earth terminal.
Warning! If your product is class ll double insulated (only 2
wires in the cord set), no connection is to be made to the
earth terminal.
Follow the fitting instructions supplied with good quality plugs.
Any replacement fuse must be of the same rating as the
original fuse supplied with the product.
Protecting the environment
Separate collection. This product must not be
disposed of with normal household waste.
Should you find one day that your BLACK+DECKER product
needs replacement, or if it is of no further use to you, do not
dispose of it with other household waste. Make this product
available for separate collection.
• BLACK+DECKER provides a facility for recycling
BLACK+DECKER products once they have reached the
end of their working life. This service is provided free of
charge. To take advantage of this service please return
your product to any authorised repair agent who will
collect them on our behalf.

Sécurité électrique

Changement de la fiche secteur

• Si le produit est de classe l (relié à la terre), connectez le

Assemblage
Ensemble de roulettes (fig. A1 et A2)
• Placez le radiateur sur le dos, avec le bas tourné vers le
haut.
• Connectez et serrez les deux plaques de support des
roulettes aux attaches filetées (10) avec les écrous à
oreilles (9) comme illustré sur les figures A1 et A2.
• Placez le radiateur debout sur ses roulettes, une fois
que celles-ci ont été solidement attachées.
Avertissement ! Ne faites pas fonctionner le radiateur sans
avoir installé les roulettes. Faites fonctionner le radiateur
uniquement en position verticale (reposant sur les roulettes,
boutons en haut). Toute autre position pourrait créer une
situation dangereuse. Assurez-vous que la surface sous le
radiateur est propre et exempte de toute obstruction.
Mode d’emploi
Votre appareil est équipé d’un thermostat pour votre
sécurité. Une utilisation continue et prolongée peut
provoquer une surchauffe ou une panne de l’appareil. Il est
donc recommandé de le débrancher de l’alimentation
secteur et de lui laisser le temps de refroidir complètement
avant de l’utiliser en continu.
• Utilisez ce radiateur sur une surface horizontale et
stable.
• N’utilisez pas ce radiateur s’il est tombé ;
• N’utilisez pas ce radiateur s’il présente des signes
visibles de détérioration ;
• Branchez-le à l’alimentation. Assurez-vous que le
thermostat est réglé sur la position « MIN » et que le
bouton d’alimentation est réglé sur la position 0.
• Tournez l’interrupteur d’alimentation jusqu’à la position
3, puis mettez le thermostat sur la position « MAX »,
l’appareil se met à fonctionner. Une fois que la
température est satisfaisante, tournez progressivement
le bouton du thermostat dans le sens horaire jusqu’à ce

voulez élever ou abaisser la température de la pièce,
ajustez le thermostat : Tournez le thermostat dans le
sens horaire pour augmenter la température et dans le
sens antihoraire pour la diminuer.
• Réglez le thermostat à la température souhaitée.
• Après toute utilisation, mettez d’abord le bouton
d’alimentation sur la position « 0 », puis tournez le
thermostat sur la position « MIN » et débranchez la fiche
de la prise d’alimentation.
