Congratulations on your purchase of
the Amaircare® XR-100 portable air
filtration system. With proper care and
maintenance, your XR-100 will provide
many years of reliable service.
Installation
The XR-100 mounts to
your vehicle’s head rest
as shown.
1. Raise the head rest to
its maximum height.
2. Position the unit against the
back of the head rest with the receptacle
at the bottom and the screen facing out.
3. Wrap the strap around the supports of the head rest
and through the buckle. Pull on the strap to tighten it.
4. Lower the head rest. The unit should be firmly
secured to the head rest. If it is loose adjust the strap
until it is secure.
5.Insert the small plug of the adapter cord into the
receptacle on the bottom of the unit. Plug the other
end into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter. The unit comes
on when you plug it in. Unplug the unit when not
operating the vehicle.
Cleaning your XR-100
Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the motor/fan
housing.You can also use a non-abrasive cleaner. The
filter cartridge can be disassembled and the compo-
nents cleaned with a mild detergent and warm water.
Do not let water get into the filters themselves or the
motor/fan housing.

Installation
Le XR-100 s’installe sur l’ap-
pui-tête de votre véhicule
(voir l’illustration).
1. Levez l’appuie-tête au
maximum.
2. Placez l’appareil sur l’ar-
rière de l’appuie-tête; la
prise de courant doit se trou-
ver au bas de l’appareil et
l’écran doit être orienté vers l’extérieur.
3. Enroulez la courroie autour des supports de l’appuie-tête et
insérez-la dans la boucle. Tirez sur la courroie pour la serrer.
4. Baissez l’appuie-tête. L’appareil devrait être bien retenu sur
l’appuie-tête. Si l’appareil se desserre, réglez la courroie jusqu’à
ce que l’appareil soit bien retenu.
5.Insérez la petite prise de l’adaptateur dans la prise de courant
qui se trouve au bas de l’appareil. Branchez l’autre extrémité
dans le briquet du véhicule. L’appareil se met en marche lorsque
vous le branchez. Débranchez l’appareil lorsque vous arrêtez le
véhicule.
Nettoyage de votre XR-100
Utilisez un chiffon doux et humide pour essuyer le bâti du
moteur/ventilateur. Vous pouvez également utiliser un produit de
nettoyage non abrasif. La cartouche du filtre peut être démontée
et les composants peuvent être nettoyés à l’aide d’un détergent
doux et d’eau chaude. Ne laissez pas l’eau entrer dans les filtres
eux-mêmes ni dans le bâti du moteur/ventilateur.

1. Unplug the unit to turn it off.You
may wish to remove the unit from
your car seat by undoing the
mounting strap.
2. Remove the filter cartridge by
rotating it counter-clockwise. The
cartridge requires only a partial
rotation to dislodge from the
motor/fan housing.
3. Remove the four screws on the
underside of the filter cartridge to
separate the screen covering from
the filter container.
4. Remove the old filters and careful-
ly discard them. Do not shake the fil-
ters as this can cause trapped parti-
cles to fall out.You may wish to
clean the screen covering and filter
container with soap and warm
water.
5. Remove the new filter-pack from
the packaging, keeping the individ-
ual filters in the order they came in.
Place the new filter-pack into the fil-
ter container with the black filter on
top.
6. Reassemble the filter cartridge
and replace it on the motor/fan
housing.
7. If you removed the unit from your
car seat, reinstall it with the mount-
ing strap, pulling the strap tightly so
the unit mounts firmly to the seat.
8. Plug the XR-100 into your vehicle's
cigarette lighter, or plug it into a wall
receptacle with the supplied 12V
DC adapter if you wish to use the
XR-100 in your home, office or hotel
room.
NOTE: Do not attempt to vacuum or
shake-out the filters to remove dirt,
as this can damage the filters. Filters
are disposable items and should be
changed regularly to ensure the unit
works properly.
Replace the filter-pack
every 4 to 6 months.

1. Débranchez l’appareil et placez le
contrôle en position «OFF».Vous
voudrez peut être retirer l’appareil de
votre appuie-tête; pour cela,
détachez la courroie de montage.
2. Retirez la cartouche de filtration en
la tournant en sens anti-horaire. La
cartouche n’a besoin que d’une
légère rotation pour se déloger du
bâti du moteur / ventilateur.
3. Retirez les quatre vis situées sous la
cartouche du filtre pour défaire
l’écran et le contenant du filtre.
4. Retirez les anciens filtres et jetez-les
avec soin. Ne secouez pas le filtre
pour ne pas en faire tomber les
particules qui y sont emprisonnées.
Vous voudrez sans doute nettoyer
l’écran et le contenant du filtre avec
de l’eau chaude et du savon.
5. Retirez le nouveau filtre de son
emballage; conservez chaque filtre
dans l’ordre où ils ont été expédiés.
Placez le nouveau bloc de filtration
dans le contenant de filtration; le filtre
noir doit se trouver sur le dessus.
6. Rassemblez la cartouche du filtre et
remettez le bâti du moteur/ventilateur
en place.
7. Si vous aviez retiré votre appareil de
l’appuie-tête de votre véhicule, réins-
tallez-le à l’aide de la courroie de
montage; tirez sur la courroie pour
bien fixer l’appareil sur l’appuie-tête.
8. Branchez le XR-100 dans le briquet
de votre véhicule ou dans une prise
murale à l’aide de l’adaptateur de 12
V c.c. fourni si vous désirez utiliser votre
XR-100 dans votre maison, au bureau
ou dans une chambre d’hôtel.
NOTA : N’essayez pas d’utiliser un
aspirateur pour les filtres ou de les
secouer pour en retirer la poussière;
cela pourrait endommager les filtres.
Les filtres doivent être jetés et changés
régulièrement pour s’assurer qu’ils font
bien leur travail.
Remplacez les filtres à tous
les 4-6 mois.

when introduced into the air by the XR-100. Now you can get rid of many

Place an aromatherapy or Odortec
packet between the motor/fan housing
and the filter cartridge of the XR-100,
attach the filter cartridge and plug in
the unit. The special aromatic essence
or odor-destroying essential oils are
introduced into the air.

The motor/fan in this Amaircare® product is warranted by Americair Corporation to the orig-
inal retail purchaser for FIVE (5) YEARS from the date of purchase. All other components
(except filters) are warranted for ONE (1) YEAR. Americair will repair or replace at its option
the component(s) which upon inspection by an authorized Amaircare® dealer proves to
have failed in normal use, due to defects in material or workmanship, or, at its option, to
replace the unit.
Operations other than those recommended in this manual or at voltages other than that
specified on the unit,or any attempts by unauthorized personnel to service or modify the unit
will void the warranty.
WARRANTY SERVICE IS AVAILABLE BY BRINGING YOUR UNIT, OR SENDING IT POSTAGE PREPAID,
