1 Product Overview
Opal5/Opal8 entry-level industrial Ethernet switches are specially designed for industrial
control applications.
Opal5/Opal8 supports normal-temperature-range and wide-temperature-range models.
Broadcast storm protection can be configured through DIP switch.
The series switches support DIN rail mounting. Opal5 provides four 10/100Base-T(X)
Ethernet ports, one 100M copper or fiber (optional); Opal8 provides six 10/100Base-T(X)
Ethernet ports, two 100M copper or fiber (optional). For details, see the following table.
