This symbol on the battery or on the packaging indicates that the battery
provided with this product shall not be treated as household
waste.
On certain batteries this symbol might be used in combination
with a chemical symbol. The chemical symbols for mercury (Hg)
or lead (Pb) are added if the battery contains more than
0.0005% mercury or 0.004% lead.
By ensuring these batteries are disposed of correctly, you will help prevent
potentially negative consequences for the environment and human health
which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of the
battery. The recycling of the materials will help to conserve natural resources.
In case of products that for safety, performance or data integrity reasons
require a permanent connection with an incorporated battery, this battery
should be replaced by qualified service staff only.
To ensure that the battery will be treated properly, hand over the product at
end-of-life to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical
and electronic equipment.
For all other batteries, please view the section on how to remove the battery
from the product safely. Hand the battery over to the applicable collection
point for the recycling of waste batteries.
For more detailed information about recycling of this product or battery,
please contact your local Civic Office, your household waste disposal service
or the shop where you purchased the product.
Before use
Before using this cover, please read this User Guide thoroughly and retain it
for future reference.
This cover is made exclusively for PRS-T2 and PRS-T1.
Getting started
1 Open the cover of the battery case, and insert the battery
(supplied) (See fig. ).
Match on the battery with in the battery case.
Notes
If you do not use the cover for a long period of time, remove the battery to
avoid damage from battery leakage and corrosion.
Replace battery with a new battery when brightness is diminished.
If the battery cover comes off (See fig. )
The battery cover is designed to come off if opened with excessive
force. To reattach the cover, insert the hook into the hole of the battery
case from one side to the other .
2 To attach the cover (See fig. ).
Insert the Reader in the direction of the arrow , and attach it to the
cover by pressing firmly , .
Note
Make sure the Reader is inserted in the direction illustrated, for correct use.
3 Raise the flexible light arm and bend it towards the Reader, then
adjust the light unit to a suitable comfortable angle (See fig. ).
When you raise the flexible light arm, the light is turned on
automatically, and when you place the flexible light arm back to the
initial position, the light is turned off automatically.
Note
If the light does not turned on automatically when you raise the flexible
light arm, check the remaining battery level and check the battery is
installed properly, replace with a new battery if battery level is low.
Storing the flexible light arm and turning off the light
(See fig. )
Straighten the flexible light arm up as illustrated and rotate the light unit to
its original position, then lower it into the storage slot. The light is turned off
automatically.
Note
Be sure the flexible light arm is stored in the holding slot properly.
If the light is not turned off automatically, check the light window is faced
toward the device and the light unit is stored in its original position as illustrated
-.
To remove the cover
Open the cover and hold the Reader with left hand firmly, push the corner
, downward, and remove the Reader from the cover (See fig. ).
Note
Please keep in mind the following when you remove the cover from the Reader,
otherwise it may cause malfunction.
- Do not let the Reader fall out.
- Do not twist the Reader.

Notes on use
Do not place the unit in locations that are:
– Extremely hot or cold
– Dusty or dirty
– Very humid
– Vibrating
– Strong magnetic fields
– Sandy
– Exposed to direct sunlight
Do not apply mechanical shock or drop the unit.
Be sure that nothing metallic comes into contact with the metal parts of
this unit. If this happens, a short circuit may occur and the unit may be
damaged.
Always keep the metal contacts clean.
Do not disassemble or convert the unit.
While the unit is in use, it gets warm. This is normal.
Keep the unit away from TV or AM receivers, as it may disturb reception.
To prevent possibly damaging the Reader, make sure that there is no dirt or
dust inside the cover or the Reader before use. If necessary, wipe the cover
or the Reader with a soft cloth, such as a cleaning cloth for eyeglasses.
Do not directly look at the light.
On cleaning
Clean the unit with a soft dry cloth, or a soft cloth lightly moistened with a
mild detergent solution. Do not use any type of solvent, such as alcohol or
benzine, which may damage the finish.

Avant toute utilisation
Avant d’utiliser l’étui, lisez l’intégralité de ce Guide de l’utilisateur et
conservez-le pour toute consultation ultérieure.
Cet étui est fabriqué exclusivement pour le PRS-T2 et le PRS-T1.
Préparation
1 Ouvrez le couvercle du logement de la pile et insérez la pile
(fournie) (voir fig. ).
Veillez à ce que le pôle de la pile corresponde au repère du
logement de la pile.
Remarques
Si vous n’utilisez pas l’étui pendant une période prolongée, retirez la pile
afin d’éviter tout risque de fuite ou de corrosion de la pile, ce qui pourrait
endommager l’appareil.
Remplacez la pile par une pile neuve lorsque la luminosité faiblit.
Si le couvercle de la pile se détache (voir fig. )
Le couvercle de la pile est conçu pour se détacher en cas d’ouverture
avec une force excessive. Pour réinstaller le couvercle, insérez le crochet
dans l’orifice du logement de la pile d’un côté vers l’autre .
2 Pour fixer le couvercle (voir fig. ).
Insérez le Reader dans le sens de la flèche , puis fixez-le au couvercle
en appuyant fermement sur , .
Remarque
Vérifiez que le Reader est inséré dans le sens illustré afin de l’utiliser
correctement.
3 Relevez le bras d’éclairage flexible et pliez-le vers le Reader, tout en
réglant la lampe sur un angle confortable et adéquat (voir fig. ).
Lorsque vous soulevez le bras d’éclairage flexible, la lampe s’allume
automatiquement, et lorsque vous le replacez dans sa position initiale,
la lampe s’éteint automatiquement.
Remarques
Si la lampe ne s’allume pas automatiquement lorsque vous soulevez le
bras d’éclairage flexible, vérifiez le niveau d’autonomie restante de la pile
et vérifiez si celle-ci est correctement installée, ou remplacez-la par une
pile neuve si le niveau de la pile est faible.
Rangement du bras d’éclairage flexible et extinction
de la lampe (voir fig. )
Redressez le bras d’éclairage flexible comme illustré et faites pivoter la lampe
pour la replacer dans sa position d’origine, puis abaissez-la dans le logement.
La lampe s’éteint automatiquement.
Remarques
Assurez-vous que le bras d’éclairage flexible est correctement rangé dans son
logement.
Si la lampe ne s’éteint pas automatiquement, assurez-vous que la vitre de la
lampe est orientée face à l’appareil et que la lampe est rangée dans sa position
d’origine, comme illustré : -.
Pour retirer l’étui
Ouvrez l’étui et tenez fermement le Reader de la main gauche, abaissez le
coin , , puis retirez le Reader du couvercle (voir fig. ).
Remarque
N’oubliez pas ce qui suit lorsque vous retirez l’étui du Reader, sous peine de
provoquer un dysfonctionnement.
- Ne faites pas tomber le Reader.
- Ne tordez pas le Reader.

En cours d’utilisation, l’étui chauffe. Ceci est normal.
Eloignez l’étui des récepteurs radio ou de télévision afin de ne pas
perturber la réception.
Pour éviter toute détérioration du Reader, assurez-vous qu’il n’y a pas de
saleté ou de poussière à l’intérieur de l’étui ou du Reader avant de les
utiliser. Si nécessaire, essuyez l’étui ou le Reader à l’aide d’un chiffon doux,
tel qu’un chiffon à lunettes.
Ne regardez pas directement la lampe.
A propos du nettoyage
Nettoyez l’appareil à l’aide d’un chiffon doux et sec ou d’un chiffon doux
légèrement humidifié d’une solution détergente neutre. N’utilisez aucun
solvant, tels que de l’alcool ou de la benzine, qui pourrait endommager la
finition.

Vor dem Gebrauch
Lesen Sie diese Betriebsanleitung bitte genau durch, bevor Sie die
Schutzhülle benutzen, und bewahren Sie sie zum späteren Nachschlagen
sorgfältig auf.
Diese Schutzhülle ist speziell für den PRS-T2 und PRS-T1 konzipiert.
Vorbereitungen
1 Öffnen Sie den Deckel des Batteriefachs und setzen Sie die Batterie
(mitgeliefert) ein (siehe Abb. ).
Richten Sie die Markierung an der Batterie dabei an der Markierung
im Batteriefach aus.
Hinweise
Wenn Sie die Schutzhülle längere Zeit nicht benutzen wollen, nehmen Sie
die Batterie heraus, damit nicht durch eine auslaufende oder korrodierte
Batterie Schäden entstehen.
Tauschen Sie die Batterie gegen eine neue aus, wenn die Helligkeit
nachlässt.
Wenn sich der Batteriefachdeckel löst (siehe Abb. )
Der Batteriefachdeckel ist so konzipiert, dass er sich löst, wenn er mit zu
viel Kraft geöffnet wird. Um den Deckel wieder anzubringen, setzen Sie
den Vorsprung in die Kerbe am Batteriefach ein, und zwar zuerst auf der
einen Seite und dann auf der anderen .
2 Bringen Sie die Schutzhülle an (siehe Abb. ).
Setzen Sie den Reader in Pfeilrichtung ein und befestigen Sie ihn an
der Schutzhülle, indem Sie ihn fest andrücken , .
Hinweis
Achten Sie darauf, den Reader wie auf der Abbildung gezeigt in der
richtigen Richtung einzusetzen.
3 Ziehen Sie den flexiblen Beleuchtungsarm nach oben, biegen Sie
ihn dann zum Reader hin und stellen Sie das Beleuchtungsteil
gleichzeitig auf einen geeigneten Winkel ein (siehe Abb. ).
Wenn Sie den flexiblen Beleuchtungsarm nach oben ziehen, schaltet
sich die Beleuchtung automatisch ein. Wenn Sie den flexiblen
Beleuchtungsarm wieder zurück in die Ausgangsposition bringen,
schaltet sich die Beleuchtung automatisch aus.
Hinweis
Wenn Sie den flexiblen Beleuchtungsarm nach oben ziehen und sich die
Beleuchtung nicht automatisch einschaltet, prüfen Sie, ob die Batterie
richtig eingesetzt ist, prüfen Sie die Batterierestladung und tauschen Sie
die Batterie bei geringer Restladung gegen eine neue aus.
Verstauen des flexiblen Beleuchtungsarms und
Ausschalten des Lichts (siehe Abb. )
Ziehen Sie den flexiblen Beleuchtungsarm wie in der Abbildung dargestellt
gerade nach oben, drehen Sie das Beleuchtungsteil in seine
Ausgangsposition und klappen Sie den Beleuchtungsarm dann um, so dass
er in der Aussparung zu liegen kommt. Das Licht wird automatisch
ausgeschaltet.
Hinweise
Achten Sie darauf, dass der flexible Beleuchtungsarm ordnungsgemäß in der
Aussparung sitzt.
Wenn sich das Licht nicht automatisch ausschaltet, überprüfen Sie, ob das
Lichtfenster zum Gerät weist und das Beleuchtungsteil wie in der Abbildung
- dargestellt in seiner Ausgangsposition sitzt.
So nehmen Sie die Schutzhülle ab
Öffnen Sie die Schutzhülle, halten Sie den Reader mit der linken Hand fest,
drücken Sie die Ecken , nach unten und nehmen Sie den Reader aus
der Schutzhülle (siehe Abb. ).
Hinweis
Beachten Sie beim Abnehmen der Schutzhülle vom Reader bitte Folgendes.
Andernfalls kann es zu Fehlfunktionen kommen.
- Achten Sie darauf, dass der Reader nicht herausfällt.
- Verdrehen Sie den Reader nicht.

Halten Sie das Gerät von Fernseh- oder AM-Empfängern fern. Andernfalls
kann es den Empfang stören.
Damit es nicht zu einer Beschädigung des Readers kommt, vergewissern
Sie sich vor der Verwendung der Schutzhülle, dass sich in der Schutzhülle
und auf dem Reader kein Staub oder Schmutz befindet. Reinigen Sie die
Schutzhülle oder den Reader bei Bedarf mit einem weichen Tuch,
beispielsweise einem Brillenputztuch.
Schauen Sie nicht direkt in die Beleuchtung.
Reinigung
Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem weichen, trockenen Tuch oder einem

Antes de la utilización
Antes de utilizar esta cubierta, lea esta Guía del usuario atentamente y
consérvela para consultarla en el futuro.
Esta cubierta está diseñada exclusivamente para los modelos PRS-T2 y PRS-
T1.
Procedimientos iniciales
1 Abra la tapa del compartimiento de la pila e inserte la pila
(suministrada) (consulte la fig. ).
Haga coincidir la marca de la batería con la marca del
compartimiento de la pila.
Notas
Si no va a utilizar la cubierta durante un largo período de tiempo, retire la
pila para evitar posibles daños debidos a fugas y corrosión de la misma.
Sustituya la pila por una nueva cuando disminuya el brillo.
Si la tapa del compartimiento de la pila se desprende de su sitio
(consulte la fig. )
La tapa del compartimiento de la pila se ha diseñado para que se
desprenda si se abre con una fuerza excesiva. Para volver a colocar la
tapa, inserte el gancho en el orificio del compartimiento de la pila
desde un lado hacia el otro .
2 Para colocar la cubierta (consulte la fig. ).
Introduzca el Reader en la dirección que indica la flecha y presiónelo
para encajarlo en la cubierta , .
Nota
Asegúrese de que introduce el Reader en la dirección mostrada en la
ilustración para garantizar un funcionamiento correcto.
3 Levante el brazo flexible de la lámpara y dóblelo hacia el Reader al
mismo tiempo que ajusta la bombilla en un ángulo adecuado y
cómodo (consulte la fig. ).
Cuando levante el brazo flexible de la lámpara, la luz se encenderá
automáticamente y, cuando vuelva a colocar el brazo flexible de la
lámpara en la posición inicial, la luz se apagará automáticamente.
Notas
Si la luz no se enciende automáticamente cuando levanta el brazo flexible
de la lámpara, compruebe el nivel de batería restante y compruebe que la
pila esté instalada correctamente. Cámbiela si el nivel de batería es bajo.
Almacenamiento del brazo flexible de la lámpara y
apagado de la luz (consulte la fig. )
Enderece el brazo flexible de la lámpara tal como se muestra en la ilustración
y gire la bombilla hacia su posición inicial. A continuación, bájelo hasta
meterlo en su compartimiento. La lámpara se apaga automáticamente.
Notas
Asegúrese de que el brazo flexible de la lámpara se guarda correctamente en la
ranura de sujeción correctamente.
Si la lámpara no se apaga automáticamente, compruebe que la ventana de la
lámpara esté orientada hacia el dispositivo y que la bombilla esté guardada en
su posición original como se muestra en la ilustración -.
Para retirar la cubierta
Abra la cubierta y sujete el Reader con firmeza con la mano izquierda. A
continuación, presione la esquina , hacia abajo y saque el Reader de
la cubierta (consulte la fig. )
Nota
Es importante que tenga en cuenta las siguientes recomendaciones al retirar la

- Evite una caída del Reader.

Door deze batterijen op juiste wijze af te voeren, helpt u mogelijke negatieve

Voor u deze hoes gebruikt, dient u deze Gebruikershandleiding aandachtig
te lezen en te bewaren zodat u deze later nog kunt raadplegen.
Deze omslag is uitsluitend gemaakt voor PRS-T2 end PRS-T1.
Aan de slag
1 Open het deksel van het batterijvak en plaats de batterij
(bijgeleverd) (zie afb. ).
Plaats het symbool op de batterij aan de kant van het symbool in
het batterijvak.
Opmerkingen
Als u de hoes gedurende lange tijd niet gebruikt, verwijdert u de batterij
om schade door batterijlekkage en corrosie te voorkomen.
Vervang de batterij door een nieuwe batterij wanneer de helderheid is
afgenomen.
Als het batterijdeksel loskomt (zie afb. ).
Het batterijdeksel komt volledig los als u hier te veel kracht op
uitoefent. Om het batterijdeksel opnieuw te bevestigen, plaatst u de
haak eerst aan kant en vervolgens aan kant in de opening van
het batterijvak.
2 Om de omslag te bevestigen (zie afb. ).
Plaats de Reader in de richting van de pijl en maak hem stevig vast
aan de omslag , .
Opmerking
Zorg ervoor dat de Reader in de afgebeelde richting is ingebracht voor
correct gebruik.
3 Breng de flexibele lichtarm omhoog, buig deze naar de Reader en
roteer het lichtonderdeel naar een comfortabele hoek (zie afb. ).
Wanneer u de flexibele lichtarm omhoog brengt, wordt het licht
automatisch ingeschakeld; wanneer u deze terug op zijn
oorspronkelijke positie plaatst, wordt het licht automatisch
uitgeschakeld.
Opmerkingen
Als het licht niet automatisch begint te schijnen wanneer u de soepele
lichtarm naar boven plaatst, controleer dan het batterijniveau en ga na of
de batterij correct is geplaatst. Vervang de batterij als de batterij bijna leeg
is.
De flexibele lichtarm wegklappen en het licht
uitschakelen (zie afb. )
Plaats de soepele lichtarm rechtop zoals afgebeeld en draai het licht naar
zijn originele stand. Plaats het vervolgens in de bergsleuf. Het licht wordt
automatisch uitgeschakeld.
Opmerkingen
Zorg ervoor dat de flexibele lichtarm correct in de opbergsleuf opgeborgen is.
Als het licht niet automatisch uitgaat, controleer of het lichtvenster naar het
toestel is gericht en het licht zich in de originele stand bevindt zoals afgebeeld
-.
Om de omslag te verwijderen
Open de omslag en hou de Reader stevig vast met de linkerhand. Duw de
hoek , naar beneden en verwijder de Reader van de omslag (zie afb.
).
Opmerking
Hou rekening met het volgende wanneer u de omslag van de Reader verwijdert.
Zoniet, kan dit leiden tot een storing.
- Laat de Reader er niet uit vallen.
- Draai de Reader niet.

Opmerking over het gebruik
Zet het toestel niet op plaatsen waar het wordt blootgesteld aan:

Stel het toestel niet bloot aan mechanische schokken en laat het niet
vallen.
Zorg ervoor dat er geen metalen voorwerpen in contact komen met de

Operazioni preliminari
1 Aprire il coperchio del vano pile e inserire la pila (in dotazione) (fig.
).
Verificare che il polo sulla pila sia inserito in corrispondenza del
simbolo nel vano pile.
Note
Se non si intende utilizzare la coperchio del vano pile per un periodo
prolungato, estrarre la pila onde evitare danni dovuti a perdite di
elettrolita e corrosione.
Sostituire la batteria qualora la luminosità risulti diminuita.
Se la coperchio del vano pile si stacca (fig. )
Il coperchio del vano pile è progettato per staccarsi nel caso in cui
venga aperto con una forza eccessiva. Per applicare di nuovo il
coperchio, inserire il gancio nel foro del vano pile, procedendo da un
lato verso l’altro .
2 Per applicare la custodia (fig. ).
Inserire il dispositivo Reader nella direzione della freccia e fissarlo
alla custodia premendo saldamente in corrispondenza dei punti e
.
Nota
Per un uso corretto, assicurarsi che il Reader sia inserito nella direzione
indicata.
3 Sollevare la lampada flessibile e piegarla verso il dispositivo
Reader, regolandola all’angolazione desiderata (fig. ).
La lampadina si accende automaticamente quando si solleva la
lampada flessibile e si spegne automaticamente quando la lampada
flessibile viene riportata nella posizione iniziale.
Nota
Se la luce non si accende automaticamente al sollevamento del lampada
flessibile, controllare la carica residua della batteria e verificare che la
stessa sia installata correttamente; sostituire la batteria se il livello di carica
è basso.
Riporre la lampada flessibile e spegnere la lampadina
(fig. )
Sollevare il lampada flessibile come mostrato nella figura e ruotare l’unità
luminosa nella sua posizione originale, quindi abbassarla nel vano. La
lampadina si spegne automaticamente.
Note
Assicurarsi che la lampada flessibile sia inserita correttamente nello slot di
fermo.
Se la luce non si spegne automaticamente, verificare che la finestrella sia rivolta
verso il dispositivo e che l’unità luminosa si trovi nella sua posizione originale,
come illustrato nella figura -.
Per rimuovere la custodia
Aprire la custodia e tenere saldamente il dispositivo Reader con la mano
sinistra, premere l’angolo , verso il basso e rimuovere il dispositivo
Reader dalla custodia (fig. ).
Nota
Durante la rimozione della custodia dal dispositivo Reader occorre tenere
presente quanto segue per evitare problemi di funzionamento.
- Non lasciar cadere il dispositivo Reader.
- Non ruotare il dispositivo Reader.

Note sull’utilizzo
Non collocare l’unità in luoghi che presentano le caratteristiche riportate di
seguito:
– Temperature particolarmente calde o fredde
– Polvere o sporcizia
– Umidità elevata
– Vibrazioni
– Campi magnetici intensi
– Sabbia
– Luce diretta del sole
Evitare di urtare o di lasciar cadere l’unità.
Evitare che oggetti metallici entrino a contatto con le parti metalliche
dell’unità. In caso contrario, potrebbe verificarsi un cortocircuito con
conseguenti danni all’unità.
Mantenere sempre puliti i contatti in metallo.
Non smontare e non alterare l’unità.
Durante l’uso l’unità diventa calda. È un comportamento normale.
Mantenere l’unità a distanza da televisori o ricevitori AM, in quanto ciò
potrebbe causare disturbi alla ricezione.
Per evitare danni al dispositivo Reader, prima dell’uso è necessario
verificare che all’interno della copertina e del dispositivo Reader non siano
presenti polvere o sporcizia. Se necessario, pulire la copertina o il
dispositivo Reader con un panno morbido, ad esempio un panno di pulizia
per occhiali.
Non guardare direttamente la luce.
Pulizia
Pulire l’unità con un panno morbido asciutto o leggermente inumidito con
una soluzione detergente neutra. Non utilizzare alcun tipo di solvente, quali
alcool o benzina, onde evitare di danneggiare la finitura.
