Operation manual
Introduction
This 4-channel modulator works in STAND ALONE (A) or with an
external DMX-controller (B).
A. Audio / Chase
To use this function, all DIP-switches must be in the OFF-position.
1. The PROGRAM – button allows you to select a program: choose
between programs 1, 2, 3 and Random (programs will be
played randomly).
2. AUDIO: When the red LED is lit, the program will be played
based on the rhythm of the music.
3. SENSITIVITY: This rotary pot adjusts the sensitivity of the built-
in microphone. Turn the knob clockwise for higher sensitivity.
4. CHASE: when the green LED is lit, the chaser is activated.
5. SPEED: with this rotary pot the speed of the chaser can be set.
CHANNEL: Flash knob with LED-indicator per channel.

B. DMX
To use the LM 140 in DMX-mode, an external DMX CONTROLLER
has to be used.
1. DMX-ADRESS: When in ON-position, each of the 4 channels can
receive a different DMX-adress (from 1 till 512).
2. SWITCHPACK/CH: The dimming level of the LM 140 is now
comparable to the dimming level of a regular switchpack.
This means that if the dimming level is smaller than 50 %, the
channel will not be activated (STAND BY). If the dimming level
is more than 50 %, the channel will be FULL ON.
3. SWITCHPACK/4CH: same as SWITCHPACK/CH (2), but for all 4
channels instead of one specific channel.
4. AUDIO / CHASE: The modulator now works as a regular chaser.
When a channel is activated, it will be activated for the full 100
% (FULL ON).
REMARK:
When talking about percentages (%), we refer to the dimming level
of the external DMX-controller. So, when the cursor of the DMX-
controller is in the middle, the percentage is 50%, 100% is full-on,
0% is stand-by.

Attention
• This apparatus must be earthed at all times.
• To prevent electric shocks or fire: do not expose this equipment
to any kind of moisture.
• To prevent DC/Current: install an automatic 20 A fuse, and limit
the total power consumption to 16 A.
When replacing the fuses, always make sure to replace them with
fuses of the same dimensions and characteristics.

Mode d’emploi
Introduction
Ce modulateur 4 canaux fonctionne en MODE AUTONOMME (A) ou
via un contrôleur DMX externe (B).
A. Mode Audio / Chase
Implique que les DIP-SWITCHES sont tous en position OFF.
1. PROGRAM permet la sélection de 3 programmes et un
carrousel des dits programmes.
2. AUDIO indicateur rouge allumé, le micro interne active le
programme sélectionné.
3. SENSITIVITY ce potentiomètre ajuste la sensibilité du micro
interne pour une modulation précise au rythme de la musique.
4. CHASE indicateur vert allumé, les 4 canaux sont parcourus en
CHENILLARD suivant le programme sélectionné.
5. SPEED ajuste la vitesse de défilement des canaux en mode
CHASE.
6. CHANNEL touche FLASH avec indicateur LED par canal.
7. STAND BY active ou désactive les canaux de sortie.
B. DMX
Implique l’utilisation d’un contrôleur externe DMX.
1. DMX - ADRESS en position « ON », l’ensemble des 4 sorties
du modulateur peut être adressé sur un canal DMX ( de 1 à
512).
2. SWITCH PACK / CH par canal, le modulateur s’active en
TOUT ou RIEN (de 50% à 100%).
3. SWITCH PACK / 4CH pour les 4 canaux, pris en même
temps, le modulateur s’active en TOUT ou RIEN (de 50% à
90%).

AUDIO / CHASE les 4 canaux à 100%, le modulateur fonc-
tionne en mode AUDIO / CHASE. A 0%, désactivation du mode
audio/chase.
Remarque
: les % sont des valeurs indicatives du positionne-
ment des curseurs du contrôleur DMX externe.
la charge maximale inductive et résistive est de
1.200 W par canal.

Précautions
• A brancher sur une prise avec terre.
• Pour éviter une électrocution, ne pas l’entreposer dans un local
humide.
• Pour éviter la surcharge, prévoir dans l’installation un disjonc-
teur de 20 A et limiter la consommation totale à 16 A.
• Les fusibles ne peuvent être remplacés que par des fusibles de
mêmes caractéristiques.

Introductie
Deze 4-kanaals modulator functioneert zowel AUTONOOM (A) als
via een externe DMX-CONTROLLER (B).
A. Audio / Chase
Om in deze functie te werken moeten alle DIP-switches in OFF –
positie staan.
1. Met de PROGRAM-knop kan u het gewenste programma
selecteren: hetzij programma 1, 2 , 3 of Random (programma’s
worden achtereenvolgens afgespeeld).
2. AUDIO: indien de rode LED brandt, dan zal het programma zich
afspelen op basis van de muziek, dit met behulp van de
ingebouwde micro.
3. SENSITIVITY: Deze potentiometer past de gevoeligheid van de
ingebouwde micro aan. Hoe meer de knop naar rechts wordt
gedraaid, hoe gevoeliger.
4. CHASE: indien de groene LED oplicht, zal een chaser de 4
kanalen volgens een bepaald programma beurtelings activeren.
5. SPEED: met deze potentiometer wordt de snelheid van de over-
gangen van het éne kanaal naar het andere geregeld.
6. CHANNEL: Flash-toets met LED-indicator per kanaal.

B. DMX
Om in deze functie te werken dient een externe DMX-controller
aangesloten te worden.
1. DMX-ADRES: in ON-positie kan elk van de 4 kanalen een DMX-
adres toegewezen krijgen (van 1 tot en met 512).
2. SWITCHPACK/CH.: de modulator werkt nu in ALLES of NIETS-
gradatie per kanaal. Indien dus de externe DMX-controller een
dimming-signaal geeft lager dan 50%, zal het desbetreffende
kanaal niet geactiveerd worden. Eens boven de 50% wordt het
volledig geactiveerd.
3. SWITCHPACK/4CH: zelfde toepassing als (2), maar geldend
voor alle 4 kanalen.
4. AUDIO/CHASE: De modulator functionneert nu als audio
chaser (let wel, kanalen telkens 100 % geactiveerd,
gedesactiveerd van zodra op 0%)
OPMERKING:
Wanneer we spreken over % , gaat het over de indicatieve
waarden die corresponderen met de positie van de cursor van de
externe DMX-controller.

Voorzorgsmaatregelen
• Steeds aansluiten op een geaard stopcontact.
• Om electrische schokken te vermijden dient elke vorm van
vochtigheid vermeden te worden.
• Om overspanning te voorkomen kan u best een automatische
zekering van 20 A installeren, en de totale consumptie
beperken tot 16 A.
• De zekeringen moeten steeds vervangen worden door
zekeringen met exact dezelfde karakteristieken.

Introduccion
Este programador de 4 canales funciona en MODO AUTONOMO (A)
o vía un controlador DMX externo (B).
A. Modo Audio / Chase
1. PROGRAM permite la selección de 3 programas y un carrusel
de los dichos programas.
2. AUDIO una vez el indicador rojo encendido, el micrófono
interno activa el programa seleccionado.
3. SENSITIVITY este potenciómetro permite ajustar la sensibili-
dad del micrófono interno para una modulación precisa al ritmo
de la música.
4. CHASE una vez el indicador verde encendido, los 4 canales se
activan en ruting siguiendo el programa seleccionado.
5. SPEED ajusta la velocidad de recorrido de los canales en modo
CHASE.
6. CHANNEL pulsador FLASH con indicador LED por canal.
7. STAND BY activa o desactiva los canales de salida.

B. Modo DMX
Implica la utilización de un controladór externo DMX.
1. DMX - ADRESS en posición « ON », el conjunto de las 4 sali-
das del programadór puede ser asignada a un canal DMX ( de
1 a 512).
2. SWITCH PACK / CH por canal, el programadór se activa en
TODO o NADA (de 50% a 100%).
3. SWITCH PACK / 4CH para los 4 canales, cojidos juntos, el
programador se activa en TODO o NADA (de 50% a 90%).
4. AUDIO / CHASE los 4 canaux al 100%, el programador fun-
ciona en modo AUDIO / CHASE. A 0%, desactivación del modo
audio/chase.
NOTA
: Los % son valores indicativos del posicionamiento de
los deslizantes del controlador DMX externo.
La carga maxima resistiva e inductiva es de 1.200 W
por canal.

Precauciones
• Connectar la tierra.
• Evitar los locales humedos y la lluviá.
• Para evitar una sobrecarga, proteger la instalación con un fusi-
ble de 20 A.
• Los fusibles deben ser remplazados por fusibles de mismas ca-
racteristicas.
