Charging
Recommended ambient temperature for charging is 41 °F to 95 °F / 5 °C to
35 °C. The battery may not charge properly or at all under extreme low or
high temperatures. Recommended ambient temperature for shaving is 60 °F
to 95 °F / 15 °C to 35 °C. Do not expose the shaver to temperatures higher
than 122 °F / 50 °C for extended periods of time.
• Using the special cord set (5), connect the shaver to an electrical outlet
with the motor switched off. When charging for the first time or when the
shaver is not used for a few months, leave the shaver to charge
continuously for 4 hours.
• Once the shaver is completely charged, discharge the shaver through
normal use. Then recharge to full capacity. Subsequent charges will take
about 1 hour.
• A full charge provides up to 20 minutes of cordless shaving time
depending on your beard growth. However, the maximum battery
capacity will only be reached after several charging/discharging cycles.
• 5-minute quick charge is sufficient for a shave.
• Models 301s/300s only: You can also shave by connecting the shaver to
an electrical outlet via the special cord set.

Tips for a perfect dry shave
For best results, Braun recommends you follow 3 simple steps:
1. Always shave before washing your face.
2. At all times, hold the shaver at right angles (90°) to your skin.
3. Stretch your skin and shave against the direction of your beard growth.
Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures better shaving performance.
Cleaning under running water:
Detach the hand-held unit from the power supply cord before cleaning.
• Switch the shaver on (cordless) and rinse the shaver head under hot
running water until all residues have been removed. You may use liquid
soap without abrasive substances. Rinse off all foam and let the shaver
run for a few more seconds.
• Next, switch off the shaver, remove the Foil & Cutter cassette (1) and let it
dry.
• If you regularly clean the shaver under water, then once a week apply a
drop of light machine oil (not included) onto the Foil & Cutter cassette (1).
Cleaning with a brush:
• Switch off the shaver. Remove the Foil & Cutter cassette and tap it out on
a flat surface.
• Use a small brush with soft bristles (not included) and clean the inner area
of the shaver head. However, do not clean the Foil & Cutter cassette with
a brush as this may damage it.
Keeping your shaver in top shape
Shaving parts
To maintain 100% shaving performance, replace the Foil & Cutter cassette
(1), after about 18 months or when worn.

Preserving the batteries
In order to maintain the optimum capacity of the rechargeable batteries, the
shaver has to be fully discharged by shaving every 6 months approximately.
Then recharge the shaver to full capacity.

Mise en charge du rasoir
La température ambiante recommandée pour la mise en charge est de 5 °C
à 35 °C (41 °F à 95 °F). Il se peut que la pile ne se recharge pas correctement
ou qu’elle ne se recharge pas du tout à des températures extrêmement
hautes ou basses. La température ambiante recommandée pour le rasage
est de 15 °C à 35 °C (60 °F à 95 °F). Ne pas exposer le rasoir à une
température supérieure à 50 °C (122 °F) pendant trop longtemps.
• À l’aide du cordon d’alimentation spécial (5), brancher le rasoir éteint à
une prise de courant. Lors de la première charge ou lorsque le rasoir n’est
pas utilisé durant quelques mois, laisser le rasoir charger en continu
pendant 4 heures.
• Une fois le rasoir complètement chargé, l’utiliser normalement jusqu’à ce
qu’il soit déchargé, puis le recharger à sa pleine capacité. Les charges
suivantes prendront environ 1 heure.
• Une pleine charge procure jusqu’à 20 minutes de rasage sans cordon
selon votre type de barbe. Toutefois, la capacité maximale de la pile ne

Conseils pour un rasage à sec parfait
Pour un rasage optimal, Braun recommande de suivre ces 3 étapes
simples :
1. Toujours se raser avant de se laver le visage.
2. Toujours tenir le rasoir à angle droit (90º) par rapport à la peau.
3. Tendre la peau et raser dans le sens opposé à la repousse.
Nettoyage
Un nettoyage régulier assure une meilleure performance de rasage.
Nettoyage sous l’eau courante :
Débrancher le cordon d’alimentation de la partie de l’appareil que l’on tient
dans la main avant de le nettoyer.
• Mettre en marche le rasoir (sans le cordon) et rincer la tête du rasoir sous
l’eau chaude jusqu’à ce que tous les résidus soient éliminés. Il est
possible d’utiliser un peu de savon doux naturel qui ne contient aucune
particule abrasive. Rincer la mousse et laisser le rasoir en marche
pendant quelques secondes.
• Ensuite, éteindre le rasoir puis enlever la grille de rasage et le bloc-
couteaux (1) et laisser sécher.
• Si vous nettoyez régulièrement votre rasoir sous l’eau courante, appliquez
chaque semaine une goutte d’huile mouvement (non comprise) sur la
grille de rasage et le bloc-couteaux (1).
Nettoyage à l’aide d’une brosse :
• Éteindre le rasoir. Enlever la grille de rasage et le bloc-couteaux et
secouer délicatement sur une surface unie.
• À l’aide d’une brossette à poils souples (non comprise), nettoyer
l’intérieur de la tête de rasage. Toutefois, ne pas nettoyer la grille de
rasage et le bloc-couteaux avec la brossette, cela risque de l’abîmer.
Garder votre rasoir en bonne condition
Pièces de rasage
Pour maintenir la performance optimale du rasoir, remplacer la grille de
rasage et le bloc-couteaux (1), environ tous les 18 mois ou avant s’ils sont
usés.
