Read this user manual carefully before you use

the baby monitor and save the user manual for

future reference.

WARNING! To prevent strangulation with

the power cord, always keep the baby unit

and the power cord out of baby’s reach,

at least 1 meter/3.5 feet away. Do not use

extension cords.

Caution: Risk of explosion, electric shock,

short circuit, or leakage

The apparatus shall not be exposed to •

dripping or splashing and no objects ﬁlled

with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed

on the apparatus.

Where the MAINS plug is used as the •

disconnect device, the disconnect device

shall remain readily operable.

Before you connect the baby monitor •

to the mains, make sure that the voltage

indicated on the adapters of the baby

monitor corresponds to the local mains

voltage.

Use the supplied adapters to connect the •

baby monitor to the mains.

To prevent electric shock, do not •

open the housing of the baby unit or

parent unit except for the battery

compartments.

Make sure that your hands are dry when •

you insert or replace batteries.

For the parent unit, charge the supplied •

rechargeable batteries as described in this

user manual.

To prevent battery explosion or leakage, •

do not recharge non-rechargeable •

Set up the baby unit

You can connect the baby unit to the mains or

insert non-rechargeable batteries to operate it.

For added reassurance, insert non-rechargeable

batteries to guarantee a backup in case of

power supply failure.

1 Before you connect the baby unit to

the mains socket, remove the lid of the

battery compartment.

2 Insert four non-rechargeable 1.5V R6 AA

batteries with the correct polarity (+/-) as

indicated.

3 Reattach the lid.

4 Connect a supplied adapter to the baby

unit and to the mains socket.

4 Get started

Charge the parent unit

Note

Make sure that the parent unit is disconnected • from the mains and turned off.

1 Remove the lid of the battery compartment.

2 Insert the supplied rechargeable batteries

with the correct polarity (+/-) as

indicated.

3 Reattach the lid.

4 Connect a supplied adapter to the parent

unit and to the mains socket to start

charging.

During charging, the battery indicator »

ﬂashes green.

Tip

The rechargeable batteries only reach the full • capacity after you charge them for four times.

For the ﬁrst 4 times, the charging time is 10 hours, • and the operating time is less than 24 hours.

The normal charging time is 8 hours, and the • normal operating time is 24 hours.

If no link is established, the »link

indicator ﬂashes red. The parent unit

beeps from time to time.

Position the baby monitor:

1 Keep the baby unit and the mains cord

at least 1 metre/3.5 feet away from your

baby.

2 Keep the parent unit at least 1.5 metres/

5 feet away from the baby unit to prevent

acoustic feedback.

3 Use the parent unit in the operating

range of the baby monitor.

Tip

It takes less than 15 seconds to establish the • link between the parent unit and the baby unit.

When the parent unit is out of range of the • baby unit, the parent unit beeps from time

to time. The link indicator on the parent unit

ﬂashes red.

The battery indicator ﬂashes red and a beep • tone occurs 30 minutes before the batteries

run out of power.

5 Use your baby

monitor

Link the parent unit to the baby unit:

1 Press and hold on the baby unit for two

seconds.

The baby unit turns on, and all indicators »

on the baby unit light up brieﬂy.

2 Press and hold on the parent unit for

two seconds.

The parent unit turns on, and all »

indicators on the parent unit light up

brieﬂy.

The »link indicator ﬂashes red and the

parent unit starts to search for the

baby unit.

When link is established, the »link

indicator lights up green.

ECO mode

When you monitor your baby from a small

distance, you can enable ECO mode. In ECO

mode, the baby monitor consumes less energy,

but still ensures that you can hear your baby

clearly without any distracting noise. For the

operating range in ECO mode, see Section

“Operating range”.

Make sure that the parent unit is linked to the • baby unit.

1 To enable ECO mode, press and hold

on the parent unit for two seconds.

The ECO mode indicator lights up »

blue and the parent unit reboots.

2 To disable ECO mode, press and hold

for two seconds.

The ECO mode indicator goes out »

and the parent unit reboots.

Reset the baby monitor

To reset the parent unit:

1 Press and hold to turn off the parent

unit.

2 Press and hold on the parent unit.

3 When you hold , turn on the parent

unit.

The parent unit is reset. »

To reset the baby unit:

1 Follow the same procedure as you reset

the parent unit.

Operating range

• In normal mode:

Outdoors: up to 330 metres/ •

The operating range varies depending on •

the surroundings and other factors that

cause interference. For interference from

wet and moist materials, the range loss

is up to 100%. For interference from dry

materials, see the following table:

You can change the microphone sensitivity of

the baby unit. There are ﬁve levels.

1 Press sensitivity repeatedly on the parent

unit.

Why doesn’t the link indicator on the parent

unit light up when I press on the parent

unit?

It takes a few minutes before the battery •

indicator lights up especially when the

parent unit is charged for the ﬁrst time or

not in use for a long period of time.

Why does the parent unit beep?

If the parent unit beeps while the • link

indicator ﬂashes red, move the parent unit

closer to the baby unit to re-establish link

between the parent unit and the baby unit.

If the parent unit beeps and the battery •

indicator ﬂashes red, recharge the parent

unit.

If the baby unit is turned off, turn on the •

baby unit.

Why does the parent unit generate a

high-pitched noise?

Position the parent unit and the baby unit •

with a minimum distance of 1.5 metres/

5 feet. It takes a few seconds for the

acoustic suppression to activate.

Decrease the volume of the parent unit. •

The speciﬁc operating range of the baby

monitor is 330 metres/1000 feet. Why does

my baby monitor manage a much smaller

distance than that?

The speciﬁed range is only valid outdoors •

in open air.

Why is the operating time of my parent unit

shorter than 24 hours?

When the parent unit is charged for the •

ﬁrst 4 times, the operating time is less

than 24 hours. The rechargeable batteries

only reach the full capacity after you

charge and discharge them at least

4 times.

Decrease the volume and the •

microphone sensitivity.

Why does the charging time of the parent unit

exceed 8 hours?

For the ﬁrst time or after a long period of •

disuse, the charging time is 10 hours.

Switch off the parent unit during charging. •

What happens during a power failure?

If the parent unit is sufﬁciently charged •

and there are batteries in the baby unit,

the baby monitor continues to operate

during a power failure.

Why don’t I hear a sound? Why can’t I hear

my baby cry?

Increase the volume of the parent unit. •

Increase the microphone sensitivity. •

Reduce the distance between the baby •

and the baby unit.

If you use the baby monitor beyond the •

operating range, move the parent unit

closer to the baby unit to re-establish

the link.

Is my baby monitor secure from

eavesdropping and interference?

The DECT technology of this baby •

monitor guarantees no interference from

other equipment and no eavesdropping.

Why does the parent unit react too quickly to

other sounds?

Remove the sound sources away from •

the baby unit.

Decrease the microphone sensitivity. •

Why does the parent unit react slowly to the

baby’s crying?

Make sure that the microphone of the •

baby unit faces the baby.

Move the baby unit closer to your baby •

with a minimum distance of 1 metre/

Why do the non-rechargeable batteries of the

Konﬁgurer babyenheden

Du kan slutte babyenheden til stikkontakten

eller isætte ikke-genopladelige batterier for at

anvende den. For ekstra sikkerhed skal du isætte

ikke-genopladelige batterier som garanti for

reservestrøm i tilfælde af strømsvigt.

1 Før du slutter babyenheden til

stikkontakten, skal du tage låget af

batterirummet.

2 Isæt ﬁre ikke-genopladelige 1,5 V R6 AA
