PRECAUTIONS
To maintain good performance
Do not use the unit in places which are axtremely hot, cold, dusty or humid.
In particular, do not keep the unit:
● in a high humidi~ area such as bathroom
● near a heater
● in an area exposed to direct sunlight (inside a parked car, where there
could be a considerable rise in temperature)
Note on Ilstenlng with the headphones
● Lieten at moderate volumes to avoid hearing damage.
● Do not wear the headphones while driving or cycling. It may create a
traffic hazard.
● You should use extreme caution or temporarily discontinue use in poten-
tially hazardous situation, such aa walking, jogging, etc.
● Wear them properly: L is left, R is right.

● Check and tighten slack tape before use with a pencil or similar tool aa
illustrated. Slack tape may break or get jammed in the mechanism.
● C-100 or longer tapes are extremely thin and eaaily deformad or dam-
aged. They are not recommended for use in this unit.

herramienta similar, tal como aparece en la figura. Una cinta floja puede
romperee o ataecarse en el mecanismo.
● Las cintas C-100 ode mayor Iongitud son muy finaa y pueden deformarse
o dariarse facilmante. Nose recomienda su uso en este aparato.

● Rewinding is faster than fast forwarding. To fast forward the tape faster,
turn the caasette over and press the > REW button.
● Rewinding does not stop at the end of the tape. Be sure to press the
9 STOP button to release the * REW button,

Hf/MTL: For Type 11(high/Cr02) and Type IV (metal) tapes

Slide the SUPER BASS switch to ON.
RADIO RECEPTION ❑
Set the TAPIYAM/FM switch to TAPE to turn off the power after listening.
When listening to FM stereo broadcasting
Set the MONO/FM ST switch to the FM ST position, If the FM stereo signal
is weak, set the switch to the MONO position, The sound will be heard in
monaural but distortion will be reduced.
For better reception

FM: The headphone cord functions as the FM antenna. Keep it extended,
AM: Turn the unit to find the position which gives the best reception.
MAINTENANCE ❑
To clean the head and the tape path
After every 10 hours of use, clean the head and the tape path with a head
cleaning cassette or cotton swab moistenad with cleaning fluid or dena-
tured alcohol. (These cleaning kits are commercially available.)
When cleaning with a cotton swab@, wipe@, @ and@.
To ctean the cabinet
Use a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild detergent solution.
Do not use strong solvents such as alcohol, benzine or thinner.

Mueva el interruptor MONO/FM ST a la posici6n FM ST. Si la sefial FM
est6reo est~ d6bil, mueva el interruptor a la posici6n MONO, El sonido se
escucharA en monoaural pero con menos distorsi6n.

Despu6s de cada 10 horaa de USO,Iimpie la cabeza y el trayecto de la cinta
con un cassette para Iimpieza de cabezas o un algod6n empapado en ffquido
de Iimpleza o alcohol desnaturalizado. (Podr6 adquirir estos juegoa en Ios
comercios del rsmo.)

Para Ifmplar el mueble
Utilice un r)afio suave Iigeramente humedecido en una soluci6n deteroente
nuetra.

Toutes Ies dix heuras d’utilization, nettoyer la t&e et Ie parcours de la bande
avec une cassette de netfoyage de tate ou une ouate de coton humect6e
de Iiquide de nettoyage ou d’alcool d6natur& (Ces kits de neftoyage sent
disponibles clans Ie commerce.)

Nettoysge du coffret
