INTRODUCTIE

Hartelijk dank voor de aanschaf van de Luvion Exact-80 non-contact infrarood lichaamsther-

mometer. Zorg ervoor dat je altijd het originele aankoopbewijs bewaart. Voor garantiegevallen

zal je altijd gevraagd worden om een kopie van het aankoopbewijs te tonen. Voor garantiegeval-

len kun je contact opnemen met de Luvion dealer, of met de lokale Luvion vertegenwoordiger.

Meer informatie kun je vinden op www.luvion.com. Deze handleiding bevat alle nodige infor-

matie om veilig en met plezier gebruik te kunnen maken van deze Luvion Exact-80 non-contact

infraroodthermometer. Voordat je de infraroodthermometer gebruikt adviseren wij je deze

handleiding aandachtig door te lezen. Wij vragen je extra aandacht voor de veiligheidsinstruc-

ties. Bewaar deze handleiding goed. Geef deze handleiding ook altijd mee als je het apparaat

aan iemand anders geeft. De Luvion Exact-80 non-contact infrarood lichaamsthermometer is een

medisch hulpmiddel dat herhaaldelijk kan worden gebruikt en heeft een levensduur van 5 jaar.

GEBRUIK VOLGENS DE VOORSCHRIFTEN

De Luvion Exact-80 non-contact thermometer is ontworpen voor gebruik door consumenten

thuis en in de eerstelijnszorg als screeningsinstrument voor het regelmatig meten en controleren

van de menselijke lichaamstemperatuur. Daarnaast kunnen met de thermometer ook object-

temperaturen binnen het bereik van 0 °C - 100 °C (32 °F - 212 °F) worden gemeten.

VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES

• Gebruik het apparaat alleen waarvoor het is bedoeld, zoals beschreven in de gebruiksaan-

wijzing.

• Wanneer het voor andere doeleinden wordt gebruikt, vervalt de garantie.

• Het apparaat is niet bedoeld voor commercieel gebruik.

• Het gebruik van deze thermometer vervangt geen doktersadvies.

• Dit product is bedoeld voor het meten van de menselijke lichaamstemperatuur op het voor-

hoofd.

• Gebruik het niet voor andere doeleinden.

• Gebruik de thermometer niet als hij niet goed werkt of beschadigd is.

• Dit product moet worden gebruikt in een stabiele omgeving. Als de omgevingsomstan-

digheden

• wisselend zijn, kan de sensor beslaan wat leidt tot een onjuiste meting. Maak de sensor

schoon, zoals beschreven in het hoofdstuk «Onderhoud en bewaren».

• Laat de thermometer gedurende 30 minuten liggen in een ruimte met een temperatuur

tussen 15°C en 40°C (59°F- 104°F) als de omgevingstemperatuur van de thermometer te

zeer is veranderd, zoals bijv. bij het verplaatsen van de thermometer van een plaats met een

lage temperatuur naar een andere plaats met hogere temperatuur.

• Verwijder de batterijen als u het apparaat waarschijnlijk gedurende langere tijd niet gaat

• gebruiken.

• Dit product is niet waterdicht, dompel het niet onder in water of andere vloeisto en. Volg-

voor het schoonmaken en desinfecteren de instructies zoals beschreven in het hoofdstuk

«Onderhoud en bewaren».

• Raak de IR-sensor niet aan met uw vinger.

• Meet geen temperatuur wanneer de betrokkene eerst is afgekoeld (bijv. met koude kom-

pressen op het voorhoofd enz.).

• Voor de meting van de menselijke lichaamstemperatuur selecteert u de modus „Body“; voor

de meting van andere objecten, vloeisto en, levensmiddelen e.d. selecteert u de modus

„Surface“.

• Niet gebruiken in de buurt van elektrostatische of magnetische velden om onbetrouwbare

metingen te voorkomen.

• De nauwkeurigheid van de metingen kan worden beïnvloed als het voorhoofd is bedekt

met haren, zweet, een muts of sjaal.

• Houd kinderen in de gaten en laat ze niet met het apparaat spelen.

• De temperatuur van het voorhoofd en de slapen verschilt van de lichaamstemperatuur die

bijv. oraal of rectaal wordt gemeten. Een koortsige aandoening kan in een vroeg stadium

leiden tot vaatvernauwing (vasoconstrictie) waardoor de huid afkoelt. In dat geval kan de

met de thermometer gemeten temperatuur buitengewoon laag zijn. Herhaal de meting

elke 15 minuten als om die reden een meetresultaat niet overeenkomt met het gevoel

van de patiënt of ongewoon laag uitvalt. Ter controle kunt u de lichaamstemperatuur ook

meten met een gebruikelijke thermometer die geschikt is voor een orale of rectale meting.

In de volgende gevallen is een controlemeting met een traditionele koortsthermometer

raadzaam:

1. Als het meetresultaat verrassend laag is;

2. Bij pasgeborenen in de eerste 100 dagen;

3. Bij kinderen jonger dan drie jaar die een verminderd immuunsysteem hebben of die

zorgelijk reageren bij koorts of zonder koorts;

4. Als de thermometer voor het eerst wordt gebruikt of als u nog aan de thermometer

moet wennen.

• De huid van baby‘s reageert zeer snel op de omgevingstemperatuur. Voer daarom geen

meting met de thermometer uit tijdens of na het geven van borstvoeding, omdat de

huidtemperatuur in dat geval lager kan zijn dan de lichaamstemperatuur.

• Bewaar het apparaat uit de buurt van kinderen/huisdieren.

• Bewaar het apparaat in een droge ruimte en bescherm het tegen extreme vochtigheid,

hitte, haren, stof en direct zonlicht. Leg nooit zware voorwerpen op het apparaat.

• Deze thermometer vervangt geen diagnose in het ziekenhuis.

• Demonteer het apparaat niet en verander er niets aan. Laat het niet vallen.

• Gebruik het apparaat niet wanneer u denkt dat het beschadigd is of wanneer u denkt

dat er iets bijzonders mee aan de hand is. Het gebruik van een beschadigd apparaat kan

leiden tot letsel, onbetrouwbare resultaten en andere ernstige gevaren.

• Dit apparaat bevat kwetsbare onderdelen en moet voorzichtig worden behandeld. Let

op de in het hoofdstuk «Technische gegevens» beschreven bewaar- en gebruiksomstan-

digheden.

• Maak de thermometer niet schoon als hij in gebruik is.

• Raak nooit de batterijen en de patiënt tegelijk aan.

• Op basis van de huidige stand van de wetenschap en techniek zijn er geen mogelijke

allergische reacties bekend.

• Dit apparaat moet in overeenstemming met de informatie in deze gebruiksaanwijzing in

gebruik worden genomen.

VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES BATTERIJEN

• Haal de batterijen niet uit elkaar!

• Reinig indien nodig de contacten van de batterijen en het apparaat voor u de batterijen

in het apparaat plaatst!

• Haal lege batterijen meteen uit het apparaat!

• Gebruik geen oplaadbare batterijen!

• Verhoogd risico op lekken, voorkom contact met de huid, ogen en slijmvliezen!

• Spoel bij contact met batterijzuur de aangedane huid onmiddellijk ruimschoots met

schoon water en raadpleeg meteen een arts!

• Raadpleeg onmiddellijk een arts wanneer een batterij is ingeslikt!

• Plaats de batterij op de juiste wijze en let daarbij op de polariteit!

• Houd het batterijvak goed gesloten!

• Verwijder de batterij uit het apparaat als hij gedurende langere tijd niet wordt gebruikt!

• Houd batterijen uit de buurt van kinderen!

• Laad de batterijen niet opnieuw op! Explosiegevaar!

• Niet kortsluiten! Explosiegevaar!

• Niet in het vuur gooien! Explosiegevaar!

• Bewaar ongebruikte batterijen in de verpakking en niet in de buurt van metalen

voorwerpen om kortsluiting te voorkomen!

GEBRUIK

Algemene aanwijzingen

De omgevingstemperatuur moet stabiel zijn. Houd het apparaat uit de buurt van grote ventila-

toren, direct zonlicht en ventilatieopeningen van airco’s e.d. Wacht tenminste 30 seconden

tussen de verschillende metingen. Als de temperatuur van het voorhoofd om welke reden dan

ook niet kan worden gemeten, probeer dan het apparaat achter het oor te richten.

Instellen van de meetmodus

Druk als het apparaat aan staat op de MODE-knop (6) om te schakelen tussen de „Body“-

modus en de „Surface“-modus. De „Body“-modus is bedoeld voor het meten van de menselijke

lichaamstemperatuur, de „Surface“-modus wordt gebruikt voor het meten van de oppervlakte-

temperatuur (de fabrieksinstelling is de „Body“-modus).

Lichaamstemperatuurmeting uitvoeren

1. Schakel het toestel in door te drukken op de ON-knop (3). Een zelftest wordt uitgevoerd

waarbij alle segmenten van het scherm gedurende ca. 2 seconden oplichten.

2. Richt de thermometer meteen op het midden van het voorhoofd (tussen de wenkbrau-

wen) om de lichaamstemperatuur te meten en houd een afstand aan van 1 - 5 cm. U

kunt evt. ook de temperatuur meten achter het oor. Na de meting klinkt een geluid en

wordt de temperatuur weergegeven. Wanneer u drie pieptonen hoort, is de meting niet

gelukt. Druk nogmaals op de ON-knop (3) en meet opnieuw.

3. Afhankelijk van de gemeten lichaamstemperatuur verandert de kleur van het lcd-

scherm: - groen betekent normale temperatuur (35,5°C-37,3°C / 95,9°F-99,1°F),

- geel betekent lichte koorts (37,4°C-38,0°C / 99,3°F-100,4°F),

- rood betekent hoge koorts (38,1°C-43,0°C / 100,6°F-109,4°F).

Oppervlaktemeting uitvoeren

1. Schakel de thermometer in door op de ON-knop (3) te drukken. De thermometer voert

een zelftest uit, waarbij alle segmenten gedurende 2 seconden worden weergegeven.

2. Richt de sensor met een afstand van min. 5 tot max. 15 cm op het midden van het

object. Verwijder evt. water, stof of vuil van het object voor u gaat meten voor een

optimaal meetresultaat.

3. In de „Surface“-modus is de achtergrondverlichting altijd groen.

Opgeslagen gegevens bekijken en wissen

De laatste temperatuur die is gemeten voor de thermometer wordt uitgeschakeld, wordt au-

tomatisch opgeslagen (max. 50 resultaten). Druk als het apparaat uitgeschakeld is op de MEMO-

knop (5) om de waardes op te roepen die in het geheugen zijn opgeslagen. Wanneer niet

alle 50 plaatsen in het geheugen in gebruik zijn, verschijnt evt. “---°C” of “---°F”. Wanneer u tijdens

het bekijken van de opgeslagen gegevens de MEMO-knop (5) gedurende ca. 2 seconden

ingedrukt houdt, verschijnt „CLR“ op het scherm en kunnen de opgeslagen gegevens worden

gewist. Er klinkt tevens een akoestisch signaal.

Instellingen parameters

Op het apparaat kunnen individuele instellingen worden opgeslagen (F1 t/m F3): houd als het

apparaat ingeschakeld is de SET-knop (4) ingedrukt om deze parameters in te stellen.

F1: meeteenheid °C of °F.

F2: temperatuur koortsalarm

F3: geluid aan/uit

Druk op de MODE-knop (6) of de MEMO-knop (5) om de waarde aan te passen en op de SET-

knop (4) om de instelling te bevestigen en naar de volgende instelling te gaan (na F3 is de

instellingsmodus afgesloten).

Fabrieksinstellingen herstellen

Houd als het apparaat ingeschakeld is de MODE-knop (6) ingedrukt tot “rst” verschijnt op het

scherm. 2 seconden later worden de fabrieksinstellingen voor de parameters F1 t/m F3 hersteld

(F1=°C; F2=38,1°C; F3=aan).

Onderhoud en bewaren

• De IR-sensor (7) is het meest kwetsbare deel van de Luvion Exact-80 Non-Touch ther-

mometer. Bescherm hem tegen vuil en beschadigingen. Maak de sensor schoon met een

wattenstaa e dat in warm water of isopropylalcohol 70% is gedoopt.

• Gebruik een schone, zachte doek om de behuizing van het apparaat en het scherm

schoon te maken. Gebruik geen oplosmiddelen en dompel het apparaat niet onder in

water of andere vloeisto en.

• Berg de thermometer altijd op binnen de voorgeschreven bewaartemperaturen (- 20°C -

+55°C resp. -4°F - +131°F) en luchtvochtigheidspercentages (≤ 93%, niet condenserend).

• Aangeraden wordt om de thermometer op een droge, stofvrije plaats te bewaren. Stel

de thermometer niet bloot aan direct zonlicht, hoge temperaturen/luchtvochtigheid of

een extreme omgeving, omdat die omstandigheden de werking kunnen beïnvloeden.

WAT IS KOORTS?

• De lichaamstemperatuur verschilt van persoon tot persoon en schommelt in de loop

van de dag. Daarom wordt aanbevolen op de hoogte te zijn van de normale, gezonde

temperatuur van het voorhoofd om de temperatuur juist te kunnen bepalen.

• De lichaamstemperatuur schommelt ongeveer tussen 35,5°C en 37,8°C (95,9°F-100°F).

Om vast te stellen of iemand koorts heeft, moet de gemeten temperatuur worden

vergeleken met de normale temperatuur van die persoon. Een temperatuur die 1°C

(1°F) of meer boven de referentietemperatuur ligt, is over het algemeen een aanwijzing

voor koorts.

• Diverse plaatsen van meting (rectaal, axillair, oraal, frontaal, auriculair) leveren verschil-

lende meetwaardes op. Daarom moeten de op verschillende plaatsen gemeten waardes

niet met elkaar worden vergeleken.

• Hieronder staan typische temperaturen voor volwassenen, gebaseerd op de verschil-

lende soorten metingen:

- rectaal: 36,6°C - 38°C / 97,9°F - 100,4°F

- axillair: 34,7°C - 37,3°C / 94,5°F - 99,1°F

WEGGOOIEN

Dit apparaat mag niet bij het huisvuil worden weggegooid. Elke consument is verplicht

om alle elektrische of elektronische apparaten, om het even of ze schadelijke sto en

bevatten of niet, in te leveren bij een milieustraat of bij een winkel waar een vergelijk-

baar product wordt aangeschaft, zodat ze milieuvriendelijk kunnen worden afgevoerd

en verwerkt. Verwijder de batterijen voor u het apparaat weggooit. Gooi gebruikte

batterijen niet bij het huisvuil, maar zamel ze apart in of lever ze in bij een winkel waar

batterijen worden verkocht. Neem over de afvoer en verwerking contact op met uw

gemeente of uw verkoper.

BATTERIJEN VERVANGEN

Wanneer na een bepaalde gebruiksduur de weergave voor een bijna lege batterij (12) of helemaal

niets meer in het lcd-scherm (1) verschijnt, moeten 2 nieuwe 1,5V-batterijen (type AAA /

LR03) worden geplaatst. Batterijen vervangen:

1. Schuif het deksel van het batterijvak m.b.v. de ribbels naar beneden en haal het deksel

eraf.

2. Verwijder de batterijen.

3. Plaats twee nieuwe 1,5 V-batterijen (type AAA / LR03). Let daarbij op dat de batterijen in

de juiste richting worden geplaatst.

4. Leg het deksel weer op het batterijvak en schuif hem terug tot hij vastklikt.

Het apparaat is ontworpen voor huishoudelijk gebruik. De thermometer is gekalibreerd tijdens

het productieproces. Wanneer deze thermometer wordt gebruikt zoals beschreven in de

gebruiksaanwijzing hoeft dit niet opnieuw te gebeuren. Neem contact op met de klantenservice

als je twijfels hebt over de nauwkeurigheid van de temperatuurmetingen.

another person, it is vital that you also pass on this instruction manual for use. This Non-contact

Infrared Body Thermometer is a medical device and can be used repeatedly and has a 5-year life

expectancy.

INTENDED USE

The Luvion Exact-80 non-contact infrared body thermometer is designed to be used for inter-

mittent measurement and monitoring of human body temperature by consumers in the home

setting and primary care setting as screening tool. Additionally the device is suitable to measure

the temperature of objects in the range of 0°C to 100°C (32°F - 212°F).

SAFETY INFORMATION

• Only use the unit for the speci c purpose described in the instruction manual. Any misuse

will void the warranty.

• The unit is not designed for commercial use.

• Using this thermometer is no substitute for consulting a doctor.

• This product is designed to measure human body temperature on the forehead. Do not use

it for any other purpose.

• Do not use the thermometer if it malfunctions or has been damaged in any matter.

• This product must be operated in a stable environment. If the ambient conditions are

changeable, the sensor may mist up, causing an incorrect measurement. Clean the sensor

according to the section „Care and Storage“.

• When the ambient temperature of the thermometer changes too much, such as moving

the Thermometer from one place of lower temperature to another place of higher tempera-

ture, allow the thermometer to remain in a room for 30 minutes where the temperature is

between 15°C to 40°C (59°F- 104°F).

• Remove batteries if equipment is not likely to be used for long time.

• This product is not waterproof, do not immerse in water or other liquid; for cleaning and

disinfection, please follow the „Care and Storage“ section requirements.

• Do not touch the IR sensor with your  ngers.

• Avoid taking fever measurements if measures have been taken beforehand to cool the user

(e.g. cold forehead compresses, etc.)

• For the measurement of human forehead temperature, select „body“ mode; for measuring

other objects, liquids, food and other temperatures, select „surface“ mode.

• Do not use near strong electrostatic or magnetic  elds to avoid inaccurate measurement

results.

• It may a ect the accuracy of measurements when the forehead is covered by hair, perspira-

tion, cap or scarf.

• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.

• The temperature in the forehead and temple area di ers from the internal temperature,

which is taken orally or rectally. Vasoconstriction, an e ect which constricts the blood ves-

sels and cools the skin, can occur during the early stages of a fever. In this case, the tempera-

ture measured by this thermometer may be unusually low. If the measurement therefore

does not match the patient’s own perception or is unusually low, repeat the measurement

every 15 minutes. As a reference, you can also measure the internal body temperature using

a conventional oral or rectal thermometer. A control measurement using a conventional

thermometer is recommended in the following cases:

1. If the reading is surprisingly low,

2. For new-born infants up to 100 days old,

3. For children under three years of age who have a weakened immune system or who

react unusually in the presence or absence of fever,

4. If you are using the thermometer for the  rst time or want to familiarise yourself with it.

• Babies’ skin reacts very quickly to the ambient temperature. Therefore, do not take their

temperature with this thermometer during or after breastfeeding, because the skin

temperature may then be lower than the internal body temperature.

• The device should be kept out of the reach of children/pets.

• When not in use, store the device in a dry room and protect it against extreme moisture,

heat, lint, dust and direct sunlight. Never place any heavy objects on the device.

• This thermometer will not replace diagnostics in hospitals.

• Do not disassemble or modify the device. Do not let it fall down.

• Do not use this device if you think it is damaged or if you notice anything unusual.The

continuous use of a damaged unit may cause injury, improper results or other serious

dangers.

• This device comprises sensitive components and must be treated with caution. Observe

the storage and operating conditions described in the „Technical Speci cations“ section.

• No servicing/maintenance while the thermometer is in use.

• Never touch batteries and the patient simultaneously.

• Based on the current science and technology, no potential allergic reactions are known.

• This equipment needs to be installed and put into service in accordance with the informa-

tion provided in this instruction manual.

BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION

• Do not disassemble batteries!

• Clean the battery and device contacts if necessary before putting in the batteries!

• Remove discharged batteries from the device immediately!

• Do not use rechargeable batteries!

• Increased risk of leakage, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes! If bat-

tery acid comes in contact with any of these parts, rinse the a ected area with copious

amounts of fresh water and seek medical attention immediately!

• If a battery has been swallowed seek medical attention immediately!

• Insert the batteries correctly, observing the polarity!

• Keep the battery compartment well sealed!

• Remove the batteries from the device if it is not going to be used for an extended period!

• Keep batteries out of children‘s reach!

• Do not attempt to recharge the batteries! There is a danger of explosion!

• Do not short circuit! There is a danger of explosion!

• Do not throw into a  re! There is a danger of explosion!

• Keep unused batteries in their packaging away from metal objects in order to prevent

short circuiting!

OPERATION

General notes

The ambient temperature should be stable. Keep device away from the larger  ow fans, direct

sunlight, air-conditioning vents and so on. Wait at least 30 seconds between each measurement.

If for some reason the forehead temperature measurement cannot be realized, try to align behind

the ears.

Setting the measuring mode

When the device is running, pressing the MODE-button (6) to switch between „body“ mode

and „surface“ mode. „Body“ mode is used for measuring human body temperature, the „Surface

mode“ is used to measure the surface temperature (the factory default is „body“ mode).

Perform fever measurement

1. Turn on the thermometer by pressing the ON-button (3). The thermometer will perform

a self-test with all segments displayed for 2 seconds.

2. Immediately align the thermometer with the middle of the forehead to measure body

temperature (between the eyebrows) and keep a distance of 1 - 5 cm. Alternatively you

may use an alignment behind the ears. After measurement, a sound will be emitted and

the temperature will be displayed. If you hear three beeps, the measurement was not

successful. Press the ON-button (3) again and repeat the measurement.

3. Depending on the measured body temperature the backlight LCD display will change

the colors:

Green means normal temperature (35.5°C- 37.3°C / 95.9°F-99.1°F),

yellow means slight fever (37.4°C-38.0°C / 99.3°F-100.4°F),

red means high fever (38.1°C-43.0°C / 100.6°F-109.4°F).

Perform surface measurement

1. Turn on the thermometer by pressing the ON-button (3). The thermometer will perform

a self-test with all segments displayed for 2 seconds.

2. Aim the sensor at the center of the object at a distance of min. 5 to max. 15 cm. If it is

covered with water, dust or dirt, remove this  rst to optimize the measurement result.

3. In surface mode the backlight is always green.

Recalling and erasing memory data

The last temperature taken before the thermometer powers o is automatically stored in

memory (max. 50 results). With the unit switched o , press the MEMO-button (5) to call up the

values stored in memory. If not all 50 memory locations are occupied, „---°C“ or „---°F“ may

appear. If you press and hold the MEMO-button (5) for about 2 seconds during the memory

display, „CLR“ appears in the display and the stored data is deleted. In addition, an acoustic

signal sounds.

Parameter settings

The device allows some individual settings (F1 to F3): Press and hold the SET-button (4) when

the instrument is switched on to modify these settings.

F1: Measurement unit. °C or °F.

F2: Fever alarm temperature

F3: Sound on/o

Press the MODE-button (6) or the MEMO-button (5) to adjust the value and the SET-button (4)

to con rm and proceed to the next setting (after F3 the setting mode is completed).

Restoring the factory settings

With the device switched on, press and hold the MODE-button (6) until „rst“ appears on the

display. 2 seconds later the factory settings for parameters F1 to F3 are restored

(F1=°C; F2=38.1°C; F3=on).

Care and Storage

• The IR sensor 7 is the most delicate part of the medisana infrared body thermometer

TM A79. Protect it from dirt and damage. Clean the sensor with a cotton bud dipped in

warm water or 70% isopropyl alcohol.

• Use a clean, soft cloth to clean the surface of the unit and the display. Do not use

solvents or immerse the product in water or other liquids.

• Always keep the thermometer within the storage temperature range (- 20°C - +55°C or

-4°F - +131°F) and humidity range (≤ 93%, non-condensing).

• It is recommended to store the thermometer in a dry, dust-free place. Do not expose the

thermometer to direct sunlight, high temperature/humidity or extreme environments,

as this may a ect its function.

WHAT IS FEVER?

• Body temperature varies from person to person and  uctuates during the course of the

day. For this reason, it is suggested to know one‘s normal, healthy forehead temperature

to correctly determine the temperature.

• Body temperature runs approximately from 35.5°C to 37.8°C (95.9°F-100°F). To deter-

mine if one has a fever, compare the temperature detected with the person‘s normal

temperature. A rise over the reference body temperature of 1°C (1°F) or more is generally

indication of fever.

• Di erent measurement sites (rectal, axillary, oral, frontal, auricular) will provide di erent

readings. Therefore it is wrong to compare the measurement taken from di erent sites.

• Here below are typical temperatures for adults, based on di erent measurement sites:

- Rectal: 36.6°C - 38°C / 97.9°F - 100.4°F

- Axillary: 34.7°C - 37.3°C / 94.5°F - 99.1°F

If the problems cannot be solved with these instructions or other problems occur, please

contact the customer service.

DISPOSAL

This product must not be disposed of together with domestic waste. All users are

obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices, regardless of whether or not

they contain toxic substances, at a municipal or commercial collection point so that

they can be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner.

Please remove the batteries before disposing of the device/unit. Do not dispose

of old batteries with your household waste, but at a battery collection station at a

recycling site or in a shop. Consult your municipal authority or your supplier for

information about disposal.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

If the low battery indicator (12) or nothing appears in the LCD-display (1) after a certain period of

use, you must replace the batteries with two new 1.5V-batteries (type AAA / LR03).

1. Slide the lid of the battery compartment cover downwards and take the cover o .

2. Take out the batteries.

3. Put in two new 1.5V-batteries (AAA / LR03). Make sure the batteries are the right way

around.

4. Put the battery compartment cover back on and move it upwards until it locks into

position.
