5-Year Limited Warranty

The Coleman Company, Inc. (“Coleman”) warrants that for a period of ﬁ ve (5) years from the date of original retail

purchase, this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship. Coleman, at its option, will repair or

replace this product or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement

will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, replacement

may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. No warranty is provided for batteries and light bulbs.

This is your exclusive warranty.

This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transfer-

able. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. Coleman dealers,

service centers, or retail stores selling Coleman

products do not have the right to alter, modify or in any way change

the terms and conditions of this warranty.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts, parts that are not genuine Coleman

parts, or damage

resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product; use on improper voltage or current; com-

mercial use of the product; use contrary to the operating instructions; disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone

other than Coleman or an authorized service center. Further, the warranty does not cover Acts of God, such as ﬁ re,

ﬂ ood, hurricanes and tornadoes. Warranty void if damage to the product results from the use of a part other than a

genuine Coleman

part.

1-800-387-6161 in Canada. If a service center is not conveniently located, attach to the product a tag that includes

your name, address, daytime telephone number and description of the problem. Include a copy of the original sales

receipt. Carefully package the product and send either by courier or insured mail with shipping and insurance

prepaid to:

The costs of transporting the product to Coleman or an authorized service center for

warranty service is the responsibility of the purchaser.

TO INSTALL OR REPLACE BATTERIES

Your new lantern operates on 4 “D” cell batteries. For longest life, use alkaline batteries.

1. With lantern off, turn upside down and press two release tabs to remove 4D battery pack. (Fig.1)

2. Press snap feature to open the 4D battery pack top cover. (Fig.2)

3. Install 4 batteries in the correct orientation as shown

on the battery housing. Always be careful that all 4

batteries are installed correctly. (Fig.3)

4. Close top cover and install 4D battery pack properly

into the lantern. (Fig.4)

Note: If an alternative power source is sold with the

lantern, then the 4D battery pack may not be included.

MISE EN PLACE OU REMPLACEMENT DES PILES

Votre nouvelle lanterne est alimentée par 4 piles « D ».

Les piles alcalines procurent l’autonomie la plus longue.

1. Mettez la lanterne éteinte sens dessus dessous puis

pressez les deux pattes de dégagement aﬁ n de retirer

le porte-piles destiné aux 4 piles D nécessaires. (Fig. 1)

2. Pressez le dispositif d’ouverture du couvercle du

porte-piles. (Fig. 2)

3. Placez les 4 piles en les orientant exactement tel

qu’indiqué dans le logement des piles. Vériﬁ ez que les

4 piles soient insérées correctement. (Fig. 3)

4. Fermez le couvercle du porte-piles garni des 4 piles D

puis replacez le porte-piles dans la lanterne, tel que

préconisé. (Fig. 4)

Remarque: Si la lanterne a été vendue avec une autre

source d’alimentation, il est possible que ce module

porte-piles ne soit pas inclus.

TO OPERATE IN LANTERN MODE

1. To turn lantern “ON”, press On/Off Switch on top of lantern. (Fig. 5)

The two Removable Area Lights will turn on for 360º of area lighting.

2. To turn lantern off, press On/Off Switch once again.

FONCTIONNEMENT AU MODE LANTERNE

1. Pour ALLUMER la lanterne, pressez l’interrupteur du dessus de la

lanterne. (Fig. 5) Les deux plaques lumineuses amovibles s’allumeront,

formant une lampe d’ambiance qui éclaire sur 360 degrés.

2. Pressez l’interrupteur une fois de plus pour éteindre la lanterne.

TO OPERATE REMOVABLE AREA LIGHT(S)

The Removable Area Lights can be used as independent light sources when removed from “Docking

Station”, and then be returned to the lantern “Docking Station” for full 360º area lighting and/or

recharging.

1. Push in Release Button located on front of the Removable Area Light while pulling forward on handle to

release from locked/charging position. (Fig. 6)

2. Lift out Removable Area Light. (Fig. 7)

NOTE: If the Lantern Mode is “ON”, the remaining Removable Area Light will remain lit.

3. Push On/Off Switch on back of Removable Area Light to turn “ON” or “OFF”. (Fig. 8)

NOTE: The Nickle-Metal Hydride (NiMH) Batteries in each Removable Area Light will power the Area

Light once detached from the “Docking Station”. When reattached to the lantern “Docking Station”, the

Nickle-Metal Hydride (NiMH) Batteries will be recharged by the batteries located in the lantern base.

4. The Removable Area Lights are designed to be transported by their handle or to sit on a ﬂ at surface.

(Fig. 9 & 10)

NOTE: Each Removable Area Light has a ﬂ ip-out foot to assist in stabilizing the product when sitting on

a ﬂ at surface.

5. Return Removable Area Light to “Docking Station” on lantern then rotate handle back to the locked

position. (Fig. 11)

NOTE: Once the Removable Area Light is in the “Docking Station”, the Lantern Mode On/Off Switch

over-rides the Removable Area Light On/Off Switch.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

1. Operating time for this lantern depends on whether it is run

continuously or intermittently. Intermittent operation extends the

run time of a set of batteries.

2. The LED’s are lifetime light sources. They will never need to be

replaced.

3. Do not leave discharged batteries in the lantern for an extended

period of time as this could permanently damage the lantern.

4. Always transport the lantern by the handle located on top of the

lantern. (Fig. 12)

5. To clean the outside of the lantern and lens of Removable Area

Lights, use only a damp cloth and mild dishwashing liquid. Avoid

excessive water and strong cleaner which can damage lantern.

RENSEIGNEMENTS ESSENTIELS

1. L’autonomie de piles neuves varie selon que vous utilisez la lanterne de façon continue ou

intermittente.

2. Les luminodiodes (DEL) sont des sources lumineuses qui durent à vie. Elles n’ont jamais besoin

d’être remplacées.

3. Ne laissez pas de piles épuisées dans la lanterne pendant un long laps de temps, sous peine

d’endommager irrémédiablement la lanterne.

4. Portez toujours la lanterne par la poignée qui est prévue à cet effet au haut de la lanterne. (Fig. 12)

5. Ne vous servez que d’un linge humide et du détergent à vaisselle doux pour nettoyer les surfaces

extérieures de la lanterne et des plaques lumineuses. Une quantité excessive d’eau et un produit

abrasif risqueraient d’abîmer la lanterne.

UTILISATION D’UNE (DES) PLAQUE(S) LUMINEUSE(S)

Retirées de la «station d’accueil», les plaques lumineuses conviennent comme sources lumineuses

autonomes. Il sufﬁ t de les replacer sur la station pour éclairer de nouveau sur 360º ou les recharger.

1. Pressez le bouton de dégagement qui se trouve à l’avant de la plaque amovible tout en tirant la

poignée vers l’avant pour libérer la plaque de sa position de verrouillage/recharge. (Fig. 6)

2. Levez la plaque lumineuse amovible. (Fig. 7)

REMARQUE: Si la lanterne est réglée au mode d’ÉCLAIRAGE, la seconde plaque amovible restera

allumée.

3. Pressez l’interrupteur de la face arrière de la plaque lumineuse amovible non seulement pour

ALLUMER, mais aussi pour ÉTEINDRE la plaque lumineuse. (Fig. 8)

REMARQUE: Les piles au nickel-métal-hydrure (NiMH) qu’incorpore chaque plaque lumineuse

amovible alimenteront cette dernière une fois qu’elle est séparée de la «station d’accueil». Quand la

plaque a été replacée sur la «station d’accueil», les piles qui se trouvent dans le socle de la lanterne

rechargeront les piles au nickel-métal-hydrure (NiMH).

4. Les plaques lumineuses amovibles peuvent soit être transportées par la poignée, soit être posées sur

une surface plate. (Fig. 9 et 10)

REMARQUE: Chaque plaque lumineuse comprend un pied basculant qui aide à la stabiliser

lorsqu’elle est posée sur une surface plane.

5. Replacez la plaque lumineuse amovible sur la «station d’accueil» de la lanterne et tournez la poignée

pour la remettre en position de verrouillage. (Fig. 11)

REMARQUE: Une fois la plaque lumineuse amovible remise en place sur la «station d’accueil»,

l’interrupteur de la lanterne a la priorité sur l’interrupteur de la plaque lumineuse.
