for the first time. This manual contains important information on safe installation, use
and care of this filter. Retain these instructions for future reference and pass on to the
next user.
This plasma filter can only be used safely if it is correctly installed according to the safety
instructions. The installer is responsible for ensuring that the appliance works correctly at its
installed location.
This plasma filter is intended for domestic use and household environment only. Do not use
the plasma filter for other uses than its specific purpose. Do not leave the appliance
unattended during operation.
This plasma filter is intended to remove airborne dust particles, pollen, micro-organisms
(house dust mites, bacteria, viruses and moulds), cigarette smoke and smells from the air.
Presence of smell will still be present when you are cooking and can only be completely
removed after you had finished your cooking. Harmful gases (carbon monoxide etc.) cannot
be removed.
The plasma filter produces ozone, the amount will depend on the time you use the filter.
When the plasma filter is placed in a well ventilated room, the amount emitted is within the

not indicate a faulty connection or device
This appliance may be used by children over the age of 8 years old and by persons with

14
Operating Instructions
Warning: Only use the plasma filter in combination with an extractor unit with metal
grease filters. Always ensure that the plasma filter is in a location with good oxygen supply
and good permanent ventilation. Please refer to your extractor hood user manual.
Operating the Plasma Filter on the Extractor Hood
Touch the sensor buttons gently on the control panel on the extractor to operate this
appliance.
To achieve better air extraction, it is advisable to switch on the extractor hood a few minutes
before starting to cook and leave it on for approximately 15 minutes after cooking or at least
all cooking smell is completely removed.
The plasma filter uses a sensor switch that reacts to the air flow from the extractor hood.
When the extractor hood is switch ON, the air pass through a sensor to activate the plasma
filter automatically. It may take approximately 20 to 30 seconds to activate the plasma filter
depending on the type of extractor hood.
The indicator lamp on the plasma filter will light up and an audio signal will sound to indicate
that the plasma filter is now switch ON.
Cleaning the Plasma Filter
Little maintenance is needed as the plasma filter is cleaned automatically as soon as it is
put into operation. The electrodes exhibit a very long lifetime and are nearly
indestructible in destined operation.
The activated carbon filter is regenerated at each process, keeps its pores clean and is
expected to last for not less than 6 years if the activated carbon filter is use for not more
than 4 hours a day. Usage of more than 4 hours a day will reduce the lifespan of the
activated carbon filter.
Note: It is important to follow the maintenance instructions of your extractor hood. The
grease filter must be clean regularly and/or replace at appropriate intervals to prevent
contamination.
Periodic Maintenance for Plasma Filter
