Safety
General Warnings
CAUTION!
Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug.
Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for
examination and/or repair.
Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with
throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord
away from trafc area and where it will not be tripped
over.
Only use the air purier as described in this manual.
Failure to do so may result in serious injury or death.
Do not use the air purier with a damaged cord or plug.
Doing so may result in electric shock, serious injury or
death. Have a qualied service technician replace any
damaged cords or plugs.
Do not handle the unit with wet hands. Doing so may
result in electrical shock, serious injury or death.
Thoroughly dry your hands before handling any part of
the air purier.
Hair, loose clothing and body parts may get caught in the
machine resulting in injury. Keep hair, loose clothing and
body parts away from openings and moving parts.
Do not unplug by pulling on the cord. Doing so may
result in electrical sparks and re. Unplug the unit by
grasping, and pulling the plug.
Note: A polarized plug has one rounded prong and one
straight prong. The rounded end goes into the longest
socket slot.
Do not use an extension cord.
Do not place the air purier near sources of heat, such as
stove tops, ovens, radiators or computers.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of
electric shock, this plug is intended to
t in a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not t fully
in the outlet, reverse the plug. If
it still does not t, contact a
qualied electrician. Do not
attempt to defeat this safety
feature.

Do not use the air purier outdoors or on wet surfaces.
Doing so may result in electric shock, serious injury or
death. Use only indoors and under dry conditions.
Do not use the air purier in an enclosed space where
ammable, combustible or explosive gases are present.
Do not use in an area where toxic vapors, ammable dust
or oxygen tanks are present. Doing so may result in
serious injury or death. Check the location and make
sure these elements are not present.
Warning: Product contains chemicals known to the State
of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other
reproductive harm.
This equipment should be inspected frequently and col-
lected dirt removed from it regularly to prevent excessive
accumulation that may result in ashover or a risk of re.
Unplug or disconnect the appliance from the power
supply before servicing.

Do not place open ames, including candles, directly in
front of the air purier.
Keep objects away from the air intake grille.
It is important to consider the following when deciding on
where to locate the air purier:
Position the air purier on a at, solid, stable surface
Never place the unit on soft surfaces such as a bed or
sofa.
Position the air purier where the dirty air is not drawn
across your head or body while sitting or sleeping.
Position the air purier so the plug on the power
cord easily reaches a standard electrical outlet for a
polarized plug.
Never allow children to insert hand in lighted opening.

Features
1. Display Panel: Air purier controls and indicator lights.
2. Power Button: Turns the purier On and Off.
3. AUTO On/Off Button: Automatically adjusts the fan based
on the level of particles detected by the air sensor.
4. Mood Button: Turns mood lighting On and Off.
5. Speed Button: Manually sets the fan speed.
6. Speed Indicator Lights: Displays fan speed.
7. Check Filter Light: Indicates the lters may need to be
replaced when lit.
8. Front Grille: Air enters here for the rst stage of cleaning.
9. Mood Light/Air Indicator: Visually displays either a
mood light and either a light purple, magenta, or red
light based on the level of particles detected by the Air
Sensor.
10. Air Sensor: Measures the level of particles passing
through the sensor.

11. Handle: Use handle to move the purier.
12. Exhaust Grille: Directs the ow of air as it exits the unit.

14. Pre-lter: Filters large particles such as dust, hair and
lint that passes through the lter.
15. Odor Filter: Reduces odors and VOC’s from the air that
passes through the lter.
16. HEPA Filter: Captures 99.97% of dust, allergens, pet
dander, mold and smoke at .3 microns from the air that
passes through the lter.

Operation
1. Place. Locate the air purier on a solid surface. Be sure
the grille is not blocked by other objects and there are no
candles or ames near the unit.
2. Plug In. Into nearest standard electrical outlet that accepts
a polarized plug.
3. Press. The power button to turn the purier On or Off.
Press and hold the POWER button approximately two
seconds to turn the purier OFF.
4. Select. The desired air cleaning mode (manual or
automatic) and the fan speed. The fan speed is controlled
manually in manual mode or by the Air Sensor in the
automatic mode.

Manual Mode
A. Press the SPEED button for the desired fan speed: Low,
Medium, High, Turbo.
B. The indicator lights will show the speed. All three lights
will be illuminated in Turbo Mode.
Automatic (AUTO) Mode
Automatic (AUTO) Mode
Important: The Air Sensor is set to standard sensitivity when
shipped from the factory. If you prefer the air purier to
adjust its speed more or less frequently, you can set the sensi-
tivity of the Air Sensor (see page 15).
A. Press the AUTO On/Off button to set the purier in
automatic mode. In automatic mode the air purier will
self-adjust the fan speed.

5. Press the MOOD button if you want the mood lamp On
or Off.
The MOOD button also functions as the reset button
when a lter needs to be replaced. The indicator light
will come on when a lter needs to be replaced.

Cleaning the unit while it is plugged in may

serious injury. Unplug the unit before cleaning
or maintenance
Cleaning and Replacement Intervals
Proper care and cleaning of the air purier is critical to
performance. The following chart shows the recommend-
ed cleaning intervals and method.
Part Time Method

Replacing the Filters
IMPORTANT: Always remove the protective plastic
packaging from the lter before installing the lter.
1. Unplug the air purier.
2. Open the Cover by gently pulling from the bottom
corners.
3. Press the two hooks above the Pre-Filter, pull straight
out of the Cabinet. Thoroughly rinse the pre-lter
and let it air dry before placing it back in the cabinet.
Note: Do not use heated or compressed air as part
of the drying process.
4. Remove the used Odor Filter and HEPA lter. Note:
Do not dispose of the odor lter’s plastic frame.
5. Remove the plastic bag from the lters.
6.
Place the lters back in the Cabinet in the following
order: HEPA lter, Odor lter, and Pre-Filter.
Note: Insert Odor Filter into its plastic frame
before inserting into the unit.

Filter Reset Mode
1. The indicator light will come on when a lter may need
to be replaced.

2. When the indicator light comes on, press the Mood But-
ton to nd out which lter needs to be replaced:
Forced Reset Mode
When you have replaced a lter before the lter
replacement light is illuminated:
1. Press and hold the reset button for 1 second (forced reset).
2. Push the speed button to select the replaced lter. When
both low and medium speed lights are illuminated, replace
both lters.
3. To complete forced reset, press and hold the reset button
for approximately 1 second.
When the auto button is pressed or 20 seconds have passed in
the forced reset mode, the forced rest mode is cancelled.
1. After installing a new lter replacement, press and hold
the reset (MOOD) button for approximately two seconds
to set reset.
Note: If the AUTO button is pressed or twenty seconds
have passed in reset mode, the reset mode is cancelled.

Cleaning the Air Sensor
1. Open the air sensor cover on the side of the product.

Clean the air inlet, outlet vents, and air sensor.

Wet a cotton swab lightly and clean the lens, dust inlet,
and dust outlet. After cleaning, use a dry cotton swab to
remove any moisture.

Note: Without regular cleaning the sensor will decline in performance.

Adjusting the Air Sensor
The purier is shipped with the air sensor set to standard
sensitivity. Adjust the sensitivity of the sensor if you want
the air purier to adjust its fan setting in Auto Mode to
change more frequently or less frequently.
To adjust the sensitivity of air sensor:
1. Turn the power On.
2. Press the AUTO and SPEED buttons simultaneously for
one second.
3. The speed indicator blinks according to the current
sensitivity of the air sensor.
4. Press the SPEED button for the desired sensitivity.
5. Press the AUTO and SPEED buttons simultaneously for
one second to set the sensor.
Note: If ten seconds have passed while in the setting
mode the new setting will automatically be set.

Service problems that appear to be major can often be solved
easily. You can be your own troubleshooter by reviewing, this
guide.
All other servicing should be done by an Oreck authorized
service center.

ORECK MANUFACTURING COMPANY: (Oreck
Manufacturing Company gives you the following limited
warranty for this product only if it was originally purchased
by you for residential use, not for resale, from
Oreck or an Oreck Authorized Retail Dealer.)
Oreck will repair or replace, free of charge, to the original
purchaser, any part that is found to be defective in material
or workmanship within three (3) years following the
date of purchase for all residential models. NOTE: If the
unit is used commercially, a one (1) year overall warranty
applies.
This limited warranty does not cover the replacement of
expendable or consumable parts such as lters, cartridges,
and other parts subject to normal wear unless they are
defective in material or workmanship.
This limited warranty does not apply to any part subjected
to accident, abuse, commercial use, alteration, misuse,
damage caused by act of God, the use of voltages other
than on the data plate of this product or service of this
product by other than Oreck or a participating Factory
Authorized Service Center.
Oreck does not authorize any person or representative to
assume or grant any other warranty obligation with the
sale of this product.
Oreck’s limited warranty is valid only if you retain proof
of purchase from Oreck or an Oreck Authorized Retail
Dealer for this product. If you purchase this product from
any other source, your purchase is AS IS,” which means
Oreck grants you no warranty, and that you, not Oreck,
assume the entire risk of the quality and performance of
this product, including the entire cost of any necessary
servicing or repairs of any defects.
Oreck’s liability for damages to you for any costs whatsoever
arising out of this statement of limited warranty
shall be limited to the amount paid for this product at the
time of original purchase, and Oreck shall not be liable
for any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damages
arising out of the use or inability to use this product.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation
or exclusion may not apply to you.
