INTRODUCTION
Your Own Personal Steakhouse
What makes the Kalorik PRO 1500°F Electric Steakhouse Grill the beast
that it is? The answer is: 1500°F and multi-level, top-down cooking
technology. Capable of reaching extreme temperatures in minutes,
the Kalorik PRO 1500°F Electric Steakhouse Grill makes any backyard
BBQ suddenly seem amateur.
Using gas-free technology, the Kalorik PRO 1500°F Electric Steakhouse
Grill allows you to cook premium, culinary-grade steaks in the comfort
of your kitchen. While most conventional grills range from 200-430°F, this
electric indoor grill reaches a whopping 1500°F comparable to
professional grills used by top dog chefs.
Maximum heat exposure and ceramic superheating elements deliver
the perfect sear, giving steak its distinct savory flavor, crisp crust and
mouthwatering aroma. Its specialized top-down design works to
caramelize the steak’s exterior, while sealing all the flavors and juices
inside a result you cannot achieve with any other grilling process. This
is due to something called the Maillard Reaction.
The Science of the Sear
Responsible for giving food its caramelized texture and complex flavor,
the Maillard Reaction or “browning effect” — is what makes toast
toasty, coffee robust, and steaks charred. The process refers to a
chemical reaction between amino acids and reducing sugars
triggered by the heat of your pan, grill or oven.
When exposed to elevated temperatures, proteins are broken down
into amino acids, which react to the sugars in your food. High heat
transforms these organic compounds, creating a whole new world of
multidimensional flavors, colors, and aromas in the process.
Many recipes require cooking at higher temperatures in order to ensure
that this sought-after browning effect is achieved. The Kalorik PRO
1500°F Electric Steakhouse Grill was specially designed to maximize the
effects of the Maillard Reaction, guaranteeing a flavor-packed steak
with a signature, crunchy, brown crust.

Top-Down Technology
In contrast with a conventional grill, where the heat emanates from the
bottom up, the Kalorik PRO 1500°F Electric Steakhouse Grill works like a
salamander oven. Meaning, the heat source is coming from above,
almost like a broiler. This melts the fat atop the meat, forming a
protective layer of crust to seal in moisture and juiciness. This insulates
the meat and prevents it from overcooking.
This is How We Brown
The temperature of your meat is controlled by the amount of juices
within. Moisture creates a sort of cooling shield around the food. The
beef itself only starts browning after the water evaporates. Loss of
moisture directly determines whether steak is cooked rare, medium, or
well done. The Kalorik PRO 1500°F Electric Steakhouse Grill lowers
residual moisture in record time, with absolute precision, to cook steak
exactly how you like it.
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
Remove all packaging materials from your grill. Be sure all parts (see
pages 2-3) have been included before discarding anything. You
may want to keep the box and packing materials in the event that
the unit has to be shipped in the future.
Before using your Kalorik PRO 1500°F Electric Steakhouse Grill for the
first time, wipe the appliance with a damp cloth. Thoroughly clean
all accessories. All are dishwasher safe.
Fully unwind the power cord before use.
Always operate the grill on a stable and heat resistant surface. Do
not use on a cloth-covered surface.
Ensure that there is always at least 8 inches of free space around
the sides, back and top of the unit. The grill should not be used right
underneath a cabinet.
Attach the two grill racks to the left and right walls of the Kalorik
PRO 1500°F Electric Steakhouse Grill; these are attached by
hanging the open corners of the racks to the bolts placed on the
walls on either side.
Place the drip tray on the bottom of the Grill. This accessory is used
throughout the cooking process as it is pulled out to be able to
WWW.KALORIK.COM
9
KPRO GR 45602 200603
capture the dripping juices during cooking mode for an easy clean
up.
Add the saucepan to the lowest level of the rails inside the Grill. The
saucepan is used to melt butter, prepare sauces, as well as capture
juices dripped during cooking.
Do not operate without the saucepan in place as the pan prevents
grease from spilling out of the appliance and helps for an easier
clean up.
Set resting plates and handle aside to be used once ready to grill.
Please note, the unit has been tested and approved for your usage.
The yellow color on the metal net underneath the heating element
confirms that your product has been tested and approved for
consumer use.
Caution: When moving the 1500°F Electric Steakhouse Grill, make sure
that you hold it securely and support the base.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Place the base on a clean, heat-resistant and flat surface where you
intend to cook, with the controls directly in front of you.
1. To turn on the device, press the power button located on the back
of the unit.
2. The display color appears blue to indicate the unit is turned on but
currently in setting mode, not in heat mode. The screen will appear
as default setting temp of 1550°F.
3. The 2 front control knobs may be used to increase or decrease the
temperature settings of the appliance as well as the time.
Temperature setting range goes from 800°F 1550°F.
4. During setting mode, the screen will turn OFF after 2 minutes without
any operation.
5. After temperature setting, press the right knob to go into pre-heat
mode. The screen background color changes to red to indicate the
heater is on. The word ‘Preheat’ will be flashing.
6. Once the Kalorik PRO 1500°F Electric Steakhouse Grill reaches the
set temperature, a buzzer will go off three times to indicate it is now
in grilling mode and the word ‘Preheat’ will disappear.
7. You can now place your food inside the unit.
8. Place meat in the middle of the grill plate and place it inside the
grilling chamber using the detachable handle.
10
KPRO GR 45602 200603
9. Make sure that the handle does not remain attached to the plate
while it is inside the Kalorik PRO 1500°F Electric Steakhouse Grill. The
handle could become extremely hot and cause severe burns.
10. Always use heat-resistant gloves.
11. Place the grill plate at a height that ensures there is about 0.8”
(20mm) distance from the heating element to set the surface of the
meat at a maximum temperature. The top 2 racks are
recommended.
12. The searing process occurs when the meat is first placed in, turning
each side after about 1 minute and 30 seconds, depending on the
thickness of the steak or depending on the type of food.
13. Important: Once this is complete, continue cooking food by moving
the grill plate to a lower rack position to rest the meat at a lower
temperature until desired internal temperature is reached.
14. Once cooking is complete, press the right knob to ensure the
display appears blue and let the unit cool down completely. The
fan will ensure the unit is cooling down and will automatically stop
working once the temperatures lowers to less than 140°F. Do not
unplug the unit before the cooling sequence is finished.
15. If desired, you can use the left knob at any time to set the timer
while cooking. Once a time has been set, the countdown will begin
and later buzz two times to alarm you once the time has run out.
16. During the cooking process, turn over the grilled item until it has
achieved the desired browning.
17. Avoid bumping of or impact with the appliance to prevent spillage
or splashing of hot cooking liquid.
18. Max time for grilling mode is 20 minutes. A buzzer will go off three
times once the 20 minutes is up to insinuate the unit has stopped
heating. The fan however will continue to work until the
temperature reaches down to 140°F.
TIPS FOR USE
The 1500°F Electric Steakhouse Grill uses a “Top-Down” technology. The
following illustration shows how the temperature varies depending on
rack position.
The temperature inside the grill is determined by height. The heat
comes from the heating element located at the top of the appliance.
Temperature varies depending on how far the food is placed to the top
of the heating element. The higher temperature is received at the top
WWW.KALORIK.COM
11
KPRO GR 45602 200603
of the grill and reduces the lower you move the grill plate down in racks
in the grill.
We recommend setting the temperature to the max level (1550°F)
and using various rack positions to adjust to cooking needs.
For delicate foods, the temperature adjustment knob can also be
used to set a lower “max” temperature. As a result, all temperatures
throughout the heating chamber will be lower.
Default setting shows as Fahrenheit on the screen, press the right
knob for 3 seconds to transfer into Celsius.
NOTES:
- The Kalorik PRO 1500°F Electric Steakhouse Grill may produce flames
during the cooking process that can appear from the top heating
element. This is a normal part of the process and should not cause
alarm.
- During pre-heat and grilling mode, the right knob can be pressed to
enter setting mode. During this period, if without any operation, the
fan will stop when the temperature reaches lower than 140°F.
- When the temperature is lower than 140°F, the fan will stop working
and the screen will turn off to enter into standby mode.
- During standby mode, the right knob can be pressed to go into
setting mode again.

ADDITIONAL TIPS:
1. The meat should be at room temperature before preparation. This
provides for better reaching the degree of doneness and an overall
even result.
2. Desserts such as crème brulée can also be used with this appliance
for a perfectly grilled result.
3. Add butter to the saucepan containing the steak drippings for an
indulgent sauce on your steak.
4. Seasoning brings food to life. The right blend of aromatic herbs
creates a dynamic flavor profile which is further enhanced by the
Kalorik PRO 1500°F Electric Steakhouse Grill’s cooking method.
Whether you like a more complex blend of spices, or salt and
pepper are enough to please your palate, proper seasoning really
takes a thick, juicy steak to the next level.
TIMER AND TEMPERATURE:
Use the Timer knob (left knob) to set the cooking time. Simply turn the
knob to the right to increase the cooking time or turn it to the left to
decrease the time. The selected time will appear on the screen.
The timer will start counting down a few seconds after being set and
buzz two times once time has run out.
Temperature is adjustable by 50°F. To increase the temperature, simply
turn the right knob to the right.
NOTE: The unit doesn’t automatically turn off once the timer reaches
0:00. The Kalorik PRO 1500°F Electric Steakhouse Grill keeps working
after the cooking time is elapsed. To turn the unit OFF turn the switch off
which is located on the back of the appliance
