About the battery pack

Do not heat or expose to flame.
0 Do not leave the battery(ies) in a car exposed to direct sunlight for a long
period of time with doors and windows closed.
0 Do not expose to low air pressure at high altitudes.
0 Do not expose to extremely low air pressure, as this may result in explosions
or leakage of flammable liquids and gases.
About the AC adaptor (supplied)

The AC adaptor is in the standby condition when the mains plug is connected.
The primary circuit is always “live” as long as the mains plug is connected to
an electrical outlet.
CAUTION
Battery pack (Lithium ion battery pack)
0 Use the specified unit to recharge the battery pack.
0 Do not use the battery pack with equipment other than the specified unit.
0 Do not get dirt, sand, liquids, or other foreign matter on the terminals.
0 Do not touch the plug terminals (i and j) with metal objects.
0 Do not disassemble, remodel, heat or throw into fire.
If any electrolyte should come into contact with your hands or clothes, wash it
off thoroughly with water.
If any electrolyte should come into contact with your eyes, never rub the
eyes. Rinse eyes thoroughly with water, and then consult a doctor.

0 Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the
type recommended by the manufacturer.

Charging the Battery
0 Always use genuine Panasonic batteries (P6, P7, P8).
0
If you use other batteries, we cannot guarantee the quality of this product.
1 Connect the charger and the AC adaptor with the USB connection
cable.

Hold the plugs and insert them straight in or pull them straight out.
(Inserting these at an angle may cause deformation or malfunction)
2 Connect the AC cables (AC mains leads) to the AC adaptor and
then insert into the electrical outlet E.

The AC cable (AC mains lead) is dedicated for this unit. Do not use it with
other devices.
3 Insert the battery.

Insert the battery with its terminals facing down
and push.
0 The [CHARGE] light F blinks and charging
begins.
0 When the battery is inserted while the charger is
not connected to the power source, the charging
light turns on for a certain period to allow you to
confirm the battery level.

0 If the [50%] light is blinking quickly, then charging is not occurring.
– The temperature of the battery or surroundings is either too high or too low. Try
charging at an ambient temperature between 10 °C and 30 °C (50
o
F and 86
o
F).
– The terminals of the charger or the battery are dirty. Remove the connection to
the power source, and wipe with a dry cloth.
Removing the battery
To remove the battery, follow the steps for inserting it in the reverse order.
Charging time

The indicated charging time is for when the battery has been discharged
completely. The charging time may vary depending on how the battery has
been used. The charging time for the battery in hot/cold environments or a
battery that has not been used for a long time may be longer than normal.
Note
0 Charging is not possible if the battery is inserted in a wrong way. In that case,
remove the battery first, and then reinsert it by following the correct steps.
0 Do not use any other USB connection cables except the supplied USB
connection cable. This may cause malfunction.
0 Do not use any other AC adaptors except the supplied one.
This may cause malfunction.
0 Do not use any other AC cables (AC mains leads) except the supplied one.
This may cause malfunction.
0 Do not use USB extension cables or USB conversion adaptors.
0 The AC adaptor, AC cable (AC mains lead) and the USB connection cable are
intended solely for use with this battery charger. Do not use them with other
devices. This may cause malfunction.
0 The battery becomes warm during and after charging. The charger also
becomes warm during charging. This is not a malfunction.
0 The battery can be recharged even when it still has some charge left, but it is
not recommended that the battery charge be frequently topped up while the
battery is fully charged. (Since characteristic swelling may occur.)
Cautions for Use
0 The AC adaptor may generate whirring sounds when it is being used. This is
not a malfunction.
0 Keep the AC adaptor 1 m (3.3 feet) or further away from radios.
0 Do not put heavy objects or step on the charger or AC adaptor.
0 Refer also to the operating instructions for the digital camera.

Limited Warranty Coverage (For USA Only)
If your product does not work properly because of a defect in materials or
workmanship, Panasonic Corporation of North America (referred to as “the
warrantor”) will, for the length of the period indicated on the chart below, which
starts with the date of original purchase (“warranty period”), at its option either
(a) repair your product with new or refurbished parts, (b) replace it with a new or
a refurbished equivalent value product, or (c) refund your purchase price. The
decision to repair, replace or refund will be made by the warrantor.
During the “Labor” warranty period there will be no charge for labor. During the
“Parts” warranty period, there will be no charge for parts. This Limited Warranty
excludes both parts and labor for non-rechargeable batteries, antennas, and
cosmetic parts (cabinet). This warranty only applies to products purchased and
serviced in the United States. This warranty is extended only to the original
purchaser of a new product which was not sold “as is”.

N’exposez pas la batterie à la chaleur et tenez-la éloignée de toute flamme.
0 Ne laissez pas la ou les batteries dans un véhicule exposé au soleil avec
vitres et portes fermées pendant une longue période de temps.
0 Ne pas exposer à une basse pression d'air à haute altitude.
0 Ne pas exposer à une extrême basse pression car cela pourrait provoquer
une explosion, ou une fuite de liquide ou de gaz inflammable.
À propos de l’adaptateur secteur (fourni)

L’adaptateur secteur est en veille lorsque la fiche secteur est branchée. Le
circuit principal reste “vivant” aussi longtemps que la fiche secteur est
branchée à une prise électrique.
ATTENTION
Batterie (batterie au lithium-ion)
0 Utilisez l’appareil spécifié pour recharger la batterie.
0 N’utilisez la batterie avec aucun autre appareil que celui spécif.
0 Évitez que de la saleté, du sable, des liquides ou d’autres corps étrangers
n’entrent en contact avec les bornes.
0 Ne touchez pas aux bornes (i et j) avec des objets métalliques.

Si de l’électrolyte entre en contact avec vos mains ou vos vêtements,
