Charging Rolly
1 Connect the AC adaptor to the DC IN 5.2V jack of the cradle.
2 Connect the plug of the AC power cord to the AC adaptor.
3 Connect the AC power cord to the wall outlet.
4 Place Rolly on the cradle.
Place Rolly on the cradle as shown below, and align the charging terminal of
Rolly to the terminal of the cradle.
The Play-button indicator of Rolly lights up in orange, and charging of the
battery in Rolly starts.
When charging is completed, the Play-button indicator goes out. Charging will
take about 3 hours*.
* Expected charging time to charge a fully discharged battery at 25 °C (77 °F). The
charging time will vary depending on the condition of the battery or the charging
environment.
Notes
While Rolly sits on the cradle, you can play music, but cannot make Rolly move.
While Rolly is playing music, the battery is not charged.
Make sure that you orient Rolly correctly when you place it on the cradle. If you
orient Rolly in the opposite direction, or place it on the cradle forcibly, you may mar
Rolly.
Troubleshooting
Rolly cannot be placed on the cradle properly.
Rolly is oriented in the wrong direction. Place Rolly as illustrated in step 4 of
“Charging Rolly.”
Rolly cannot be charged.
There is no battery in Rolly. After inserting the Rolly battery, charge the
battery.
The Play-button indicator of Rolly goes out soon after charging starts.
The battery is sufficiently charged. When the Play-button indicator of Rolly
goes out, charging is completed.
Precautions
Placement
Do not use or store the unit in the following places:
Anywhere extremely hot or cold. Never leave the unit under direct sunlight,
near heaters, or in a car parked in the sun. The unit may malfunction or become
deformed.
Anywhere humid, dusty, or where greasy fumes or steam are present
Near strong magnetic fields or mechanical vibration. In such locations, the unit
may malfunction.
On a sandy beach or anywhere dusty. If sand or dust gets in the unit, it may
malfunction. Sometimes this malfunction cannot be repaired.
Unstable surfaces. The unit may fall off, and cause injury or a malfunction.
Notes on the AC power adaptor (supplied)
Use the supplied AC power adaptor with this unit. If you use other AC power
adaptors, a malfunction of the unit may occur.
Use the nearby wall outlet when using the AC power adaptor. Disconnect the
AC power adaptor from the wall outlet immediately if any malfunction occurs
while using the unit.
Do not use the AC power adaptor placed in a narrow space, such as between a
wall and furniture.
To avoid the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use the unit exposed to liquid
splashes or humidity. Do not put a water container, such as a vase, on top of the
unit.
Notes on charging the battery
Use the unit to charge the Rolly Sound Entertainment Player only.
Do not cover the cradle, AC power adaptor, and Rolly with a blanket or the like
during charging.
The cradle, AC power adaptor, and Rolly may be warm during charging. This is
normal.
When you do not use the unit for a long time, unplug the AC power adaptor
from the AC outlet and remove Rolly from the cradle. Disconnect the power
cord holding it by the plug, never by the cord itself.
Handling
Do not apply shock to or drop the unit.
Keep the unit away from TV or radio receivers, as it may disturb reception of
TV or radio receivers.
Unplug the AC power adaptor from the AC outlet after use. Disconnect the
power cord holding it by the plug, never by the cord itself.
Be sure that nothing metallic comes into contact with the metal parts of this
unit, as a short circuit may occur, and the unit may be damaged.
Do not connect the AC power adaptor to a transformer (intended for overseas
use). The unit may generate heat and may be damaged.
Do not disassemble the cradle or AC power adaptor. Do not let any liquid seep
into the unit, or any foreign object get into the unit.
When it is thundering, do not touch the power plug of the AC power adaptor.
Do not touch the AC power adaptor with wet hands.
Cleaning
Clean the unit with a soft, dry cloth, or a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild
detergent solution. Do not use any type of solvent, such as alcohol or benzine,
which may damage the finish. Be careful not to let any liquid seep into the unit.

Chargement du Rolly
1 Connectez l’adaptateur secteur à la prise d’entrée en DC IN 5.2 V de
la station d’accueil.
2 Branchez la prise du cordon d’alimentation secteur à l’adaptateur
secteur.
3 Branchez le cordon d’alimentation secteur à la prise murale.
4 Placez le Rolly sur la station d’accueil.
Placez le Rolly sur la station d’accueil comme indiqué ci-dessous, et alignez le
terminal de chargement du Rolly sur le terminal de la station d’accueil.
L’indicateur du bouton Lecture du Rolly s’allume en orange et le chargement de
la batterie commence.
Lorsque le chargement est terminé, l’indicateur du bouton Lecture s’éteint. Le
chargement dure environ 3 heures*.
* Durée de charge d’une batterie complètement déchargée à 25 °C. La durée de
charge varie selon l’état de la batterie ou l’environnement de charge.
Remarques
Lorsque le Rolly est sur la station d’accueil, vous pouvez écouter de la musique mais
vous ne pouvez pas le déplacer. Lorsque le Rolly lit de la musique, la batterie ne se
charge pas.
Veillez à correctement orienter le Rolly lorsque vous le placez sur la station d’accueil.
Si vous l’orientez dans la direction opposée, ou que vous le placez avec force sur la
station d’accueil, vous pouvez l’abîmer.
Dépannage
Le Rolly ne peut pas être placé correctement sur la station d’accueil.
Le Rolly est orienté dans la mauvaise direction. Placez le Rolly comme indiqué
à l’étape 4 dans « Chargement du Rolly ».
Le Rolly ne peut pas être chargé.
Le Rolly ne contient aucune batterie. Insérez une batterie dans le Rolly, puis
chargez-la.
L’indicateur du bouton Lecture du Rolly s’éteint peu de temps après le début du
chargement.
La batterie est suffisamment chargée. Lorsque l’indicateur du bouton Lecture
du Rolly s’éteint, le chargement est terminé.
Précautions
Installation
Ne pas utiliser ou conserver l’unité dans les endroits suivants :
Dans un endroit très chaud ou très froid. N’exposez jamais l’unité aux rayons
directs du soleil, près de radiateurs ou dans une voiture garée en plein soleil.
L’unité risquerait de se déformer ou d’être endommagée.
Dans un endroit humide, poussiéreux, soumis à des émanations grasses ou à de
la vapeur.
Près de champs magnétiques ou de vibration mécanique. Dans de tels endroits,
l’unité peut mal fonctionner.
Sur une plage sablonneuse ou dans un endroit poussiéreux. Si du sable ou de
la poussière s’introduisent dans l’unité, elle peut mal fonctionner. Parfois, ces
dysfonctionnements ne peuvent être réparés.
Sur des surfaces instables. L’unité peut tomber et provoquer des blessures ou un
dysfonctionnement.
Remarques sur l’adaptateur secteur (fourni)
Utilisez l’adaptateur secteur fourni avec cette unité. Si vous utilisez d’autres
adaptateurs secteur, l’unité peut ne pas fonctionner correctement.
Utilisez la prise murale la plus proche lorsque vous utilisez l’adaptateur secteur.
Débranchez l’adaptateur secteur de la prise murale immédiatement si un
dysfonctionnement se produit lors de l’utilisation de l’unité.
N’utilisez pas l’adaptateur secteur dans un endroit étroit comme entre un mur et
un meuble.
Pour éviter tout risque d’incendie ou de choc électrique, n’utilisez pas l’unité
exposée à des éclaboussures ou à l’humidité. Ne placez pas de vase ou autre sur
l’unité.
Remarques sur le chargement de la batterie
Utilisez l’unité pour charger le lecteur de divertissement audio Rolly
uniquement.
Ne recouvrez pas la station d’accueil, l’adaptateur secteur et le Rolly avec une
couverture par exemple pendant la charge.
La station d’accueil, l’adaptateur secteur et le Rolly peuvent chauffer pendant la
charge. Cela est normal.
Lorsque vous n’utilisez pas l’unité pendant une période prolongée, débranchez
l’adaptateur secteur de la prise de courant et retirez le Rolly de la station
d’accueil. Débranchez le cordon d’alimentation en le tenant par la prise, jamais
par le cordon.
Manipulation
N’appliquez pas de choc, ne faites pas tomber l’unité.
Gardez l’unité loin du téléviseur ou du poste radio car elle peut en déranger la
réception.
Débranchez l’adaptateur secteur de la prise de courant après utilisation.
Débranchez le cordon d’alimentation en le tenant par la prise, jamais par le
cordon.
Veillez à ce qu’aucun objet métallique n’entre en contact avec les parties
métalliques de cette unité, car un court-circuit pourrait se produire et l’unité
pourrait être endommagée.
Ne branchez pas l’adaptateur secteur sur un transformateur (pour l’étranger).
L’unité peut générer de la chaleur et être endommagée.
Ne démontez pas la station d’accueil ou l’adaptateur secteur. Ne laissez aucun
liquide ou tout autre corps étranger s’introduire dans l’unité.
Par temps d’orage, ne touchez pas la prise d’alimentation de l’adaptateur secteur.
Ne touchez pas l’adaptateur secteur avec les mains mouillées.
Entretien
Nettoyez l’unité avec un chiffon doux et sec ou avec un chiffon légèrement
humidifié avec une solution détergente douce. N’utilisez aucun solvant, comme
de l’alcool ou du benzène, qui risque de ternir la surface. Veillez à ne pas laisser du
liquide s’introduire dans l’unité.
