Installation
You’ll need to download and install drivers before using your adapter:
1. On a computer with an internet connection, visit
www.linksys.com/support/WUSB6300
in a web browser.
2. Click on Downloads/Firmware.
3. Choose Version 2.0.
4. Download the driver package for the version of your computer’s operating
system (Mac or Windows).
5. WIN: Unzip the folder and double-click the Setup.exe file and follow the on-
screen instructions.
MAC: Unzip the folder and double-click the Setup.pkg file and follow the on-
screen instructions.
If the computer you want to use the adapter with doesn’t have an internet
connection, find another computer that does, then:
1. Visit www.linksys.com/support/WUSB6300
in a web browser.
2. Click on Downloads/Firmware.
3. Choose Version 2.0.

4. Download the driver package for the version of your computer’s operating
system (Mac or Windows).
5. Save the folder to a removable storage device.
6. Eject the storage device and insert it into the computer you want to use with
the adapter.
7. Navigate to the drivers folder on the storage device,

screen instructions.

Use your computer’s network utility to connect to Wi-Fi with the adapter.

Disable On-Board Wireless Card
If your computer has an on-board wireless card, it’s a good idea disable it to prevent it
from interfering with the adapter’s access to Wi-Fi.
Windows 10 Option 1
1. Click on in the System Tray in the right-side of the Windows Taskbar
2. Click on Network & Internet Settings
3. Click on Change Adaptoer options

4. In Network Connections, right-click on your wireless card and click “Disable”.
5. Click on in the System Tray in the right-side of the Windows Taskbar and
connect to the internet.
Windows Option 2
1. Go to Device Manager
2. Right-click on your wireless card under “Network adapters” and click “Disable
device”.
3. Click on in the System Tray in the right-side of the Windows Taskbar and
connect to the internet.

Mac OSX
1. Go to System Preferences
2. Click on Network

3. Click “Turn Wi-Fi Off”
4. Click on the Wi-Fi card in the list of networking devices and click the symbol at
the bottom of the list to disable and remove the Wi-Fi card.

Troubleshooting
Your computer does not recognize the adapter.
Make sure that the adapter is properly inserted into your computer’s USB port.
Connect the adapter into a different USB port.
Your adapter’s light is off.
Your adapter has been disabled.
Go to your computer’s network settings page and make sure the adapter was installed.
Enable the adapter.
Your computer cannot communicate with other computers
on your Wi-Fi network.
Make sure that the computers are powered on.
Make sure that the adapter is configured with the same Wi-Fi network name and wireless
security settings as the other computers on your Wi-Fi network.
Your computer uses its built-in wireless adapter to connect
to your Wi-Fi network.
Turn off your computer’s built-in wireless adapter.

Instalación
Antes de usar el adaptador tendrás que descargar e instalar los controladores:
1. En un ordenador con conexión a internet visita
www.linksys.com/support/WUSB6300
en un explorador web.
2. Haz clic en Descargas/Firmware
3. Escoge Versión 2.0
4. Descarga el paquete de drivers para la versión del sistema operativo que
tengas en tu ordenador (Mac o Windows).
5. Windows: descomprime la carpeta, haz doble clic en el archivo Setup.exe y
sigue las instrucciones que aparecen en la pantalla.
Mac: descomprime la carpeta, haz doble clic en el archivo Setup.pkg y sigue las
instrucciones en pantalla.
Si el ordenador en el que quieres usar el adaptador no dispone de conexión a internet
busca otro que sí tenga y, a continuación:
1. Visita www.linksys.com/support/WUSB6300
en un explorador web.
2. Haz clic en Descargas/Firmware
3. Escoge Versión 2.0

4. Descarga el paquete de drivers para la versión del sistema operativo que
tengas en tu ordenador (Mac o Windows).
5. Guarda la carpeta en un dispositivo de almacenamiento extraíble.
6. Extrae el dispositivo de almacenamiento y conéctalo al ordenador en el que
quieres usar el adaptador.
7. Ve a la carpeta de controladores del dispositivo de almacenamiento.
8. Windows: descomprime la carpeta, haz doble clic en el archivo Setup.exe y

Deshabilitar la tarjeta inalámbrica en placa
Si tu ordenador tiene una tarjeta inalámbrica integrada en la placa es una buena idea
deshabilitarla para prevenir que pueda interferir con el acceso a la WiFi del adaptador.
Windows 10 - Opción 1
1. Haz clic en en la bandeja del sistema en el lado derecho de la barra de tareas
de Windows
2. Haz clic en Ajustes de redes e internet
3. Haz clic en Cambiar adaptador

4. En Conexiones de red, haz clic con el botón derecho en la tarjeta inalámbrica y, a
continuación, haz clic en «Deshabilitar».
5. Haz clic en en la bandeja del sistema en el lado derecho de la bandeja de
tareas de Windows y conéctate a internet.

1. Ve al Administrador de dispositivos
