CONSEIL D’UTILISATION
Grace à une directivité très peu marquée il n’est pas
nécessaire de faire converger les deux enceintes vers
le point idéal d’écoute, les pincer très légèrement
afin de profiter au mieux de la phase du système.
L’insert sur la face arrière permet d’accrocher
FOLIAJUBILÉ au mur, une hauteur d’environ 50 cm
sous l’enceinte est conseillée, mais elle peut être
plus importante si vous souhaitez l’écouter debout.
L’écartement sera déterminé expérimentalement.
Il est en théorie idéal aux environs de 2 mètres
d’axe en axe mais cette distance peut être réduite
ou augmentée. Les évents latéraux en miroir doivent
être positionnés vers l’intérieur pour un écartement
de 1,5 mètres et plus, ils seront dirigés vers
l’extérieur pour un écartement inférieur à 1,5 mètres.
IMPORTANT
Ce système a été développé pour une utilisation
domestique, en aucun cas il ne peut être employé
pour de la sonorisation publique ou privée.
Tout incident qui découlerait de ce type d’utilisation
ne serait en aucun cas couvert par notre garantie.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
Thanks to a very low directivity, it is not necessary to
aim the two speakers at the ideal point of listening,
but rather toeing them in slightly in order to benefit
from the better phase of the system.
The insert installed at the back of the cabinet, allows
you to hang the FOLIAJUBILÉ against the wall.
The distance between the ground and the bottom
of the cabinet should about 50 cm but can be
increased in case of a stand-up listening position.
Spacing should be determined experimentally.
The theoretically ideal is in the vicinity of 2 meters
but this distance can be reduced or increased.
The mirrored lateral event port should be installed
toward the inside of the stereo image when distance
between cabinets is 1.5 meters and upper,
and outside of the image when below 1.5 meters.
CAUTION
This system has been developed for domestic use,
under no circumstances can it be used for public
or private sound systems.

ENCEINTE ACOUSTIQUE
Système à doubles cavités asymétriques couplées et accordées

L’ajout d’une feutrine de grande dimension entourant les haut-parleurs
permet de difracter les premières réflexions du signal autours des haut-parleurs
améliorant ainsi sensiblement le comportement de la phase en dehors de l’axe.

WOOFER / MEDIUM
130 mm d’origine Française, saladier aluminium, spider plat et aéré, double aimant ventilé,
cône hypergraphe papier, ogive anti tourbillonnaire, suspension METLEX de très grande qualité
à fort pouvoir de rappel et fort amortissement procurant des graves puissants et rapides.
Bobine mobile de 25 mm sur support kapton avec un traitement spécifique
permettant une meilleure dissipation thermique.
TWEETER
Dôme de 25 mm en soie assurant une réponse très linéaire et sans couleur propre.
Double aimant néodyme, entrefer non ferro-fluidé rendu possible grâce à une double chambre
arrière accordée assurant une fréquence de résonance basse et un parfait amortissement transi-
toire. Adoption d’une pièce de phase en « demi-lune » avec guide d’onde améliorant la directivité
horizontale du tweeter ainsi que sa linéarité dans l’axe.

Selfs en cuivre pur de gros diamètre sur support ferrite à très faible résistance ohmique.
Condensateurs polypropylène et résistance bobinée, tous les composants sont d’origine française.
Câblage « en l’air » à la main sans circuit imprimé utilisant un câble cuivre pur désoxygéné
de 0,8 mm de diamètre pour le tweeter et 1 mm pour le woofer.
TECHNICAL CARACTERISTICS
ACOUSTIC ENCLOSURE
Its loading system is made of two asymmetrical tuned cavities
leading to a lateral event port positioned in mirror for the pair
(event port looking at each other in the center of the stereo image).
Again, this very specific tuning system allows the FOLIAJUBILÉ
to be hung on a wall or leaned against it.
Because there are no parallel walls in the enclosure,
it allows us to use a strict minimum damping material
thus preserving the speed and natural articulation
of the low mid and bass frequencies.
Its tweeter is installed in the middle of the front baffle and so vertical
and horizontal directivity is notably homogeneous and symmetrical.
The addition of a large adhesive velvet felt on the front baffle around
the woofer and the tweeter is diffracting all first reflection and improve
phase and directivity out of axes of the system.
19 mm MDF assembled under press to guaranty
a perfect stiffness of the enclosure.
Fixing system at the back and groove for cable
in order to hang FOLIAJUBILÉ against the wall.
WOOFER / MEDIUM
13 cm paper hypergraph cone woofer manufactured
in France, aluminum basket, flat decompressed spider,
25 mm coil on Kapton support, treated with a
specific coating to dissipate higher temperature,
double magnet system and METLEX rubber surrounding
of extreme quality offering fast and strong bass response.
TWEETER
25 mm pure silk, dome double neodymium magnet
cooled by a rear tuned cavity that also lower the resonance
frequency and improve the transient damping time.
Half-moon shape phase plug to improve
horizontal directivity and overall linearity.
CROSSOVER
12/18 dB/octave slope, crossover frequency 3200 Hz.
Ferrite coil with large section pure copper wire for
low distortion, low resistivity and good power handling.
All components are soldered manually directly one to the other
without the use of printed circuit board and using silver RoHs soldering.
Polypropylene capacitors and high-resolution ceramic resistance
manufactured in France.
Specific pure copper wire of 1,2 mm section for the woofer
and 0,8 mm for the tweeter.
Pour le développement de FOLIAJUBILÉ, nous avons établi un cahier des charges très précis.
Tout d’abord elle devait pouvoir être associée à de petites électroniques et ne pas imposer de
contrainte de positionnement dans une pièce, mais surtout elle se devait de répondre
aux critères de musicalité et de sensibilité propre aux produits JMR, le tout dans
un budget très raisonnable. Répondant parfaitement à l’ensemble de ces critères
pourtant difficiles à associer, FOLIAJUBILÉ est une réussite totale.
Très vivante et enjouée elle sait manier les couleurs et les timbres avec une aisance
surprenante pour une enceinte de sa catégorie. Son médium aigu est lumineux et soyeux,
à la fois précis et très charnel. Son grave est étonnant au regard de son volume
et on ne ressent ni frustration ni manque dans ce registre.
Son principe de charge permet de n’utiliser quasiment aucun absorbant, ainsi les dernières
octaves sont d’une belle lisibilité et il n’existe aucun sentiment de constriction ni même
de bourdonnements souvent présents lors de l’utilisation d’un petit volume.
Etudiée afin de pouvoir également être accrochée au mur ou adossée à ce dernier,
on pourra ainsi donner encore plus de matière et d’énergie au registre grave.
Les évents positionnés latéralement et en miroir, diffusent un champ sonore complémentaire
et très homogène dans le registre bas-médium grave, la présence du mur
derrière elles ne perturbera pas la lisibilité dans cette portion de spectre.
L’image stéréophonique est stable et précise et s’ouvre grand au-delà même des enceintes
signe d’une mise en phase rigoureuse de tous les composants.
Les dernières optimisations apportées à cette version Jubilé nous ont permis
d’améliorer encore les performances de cette petite enceinte très attachante.
Ainsi l’utilisation d’un saladier en aluminium, plus rigide que celui en ABS, nous a permis
d’améliorer la réponse impulsionnelle et donc la dynamique. La pièce de phase sur son tweeter
améliore sa directivité et sa linéarité. La feutrine de grande dimension sur sa face avant permet
de diffracter les premières réflexions sur l’ébénisterie et améliore la qualité de l’image sonore.
Nous en avons profité pour moderniser son esthétique et lui donner
un caractère plus haut de gamme grâce aux champs arrondis de sa face avant
ainsi qu’aux arrondis de grand diamètre de ses arrête horizontales arrières.
FOLIAJUBILÉ devrait faire le bonheur des amateurs de
musique vivante cherchant un son sans artifice ni caricature
aux timbres raffinés. Elle procurera des heures d’écoute
sans fatigue ni lassitude et en tous points fidèle à
la philosophie sonore des produits Jean Marie Reynaud.
For the development of FOLIAJUBILÉ, we established very
precise requirements. It had to be able to be associated with
moderate powered electronics. It could not impose positioning
constraints in a room. And above all, it had to meet the long
established JMR criteria of musicality and sensitivity.
And all within in a very reasonable budget. We are pleased to report that the FOLIAJUBILÉ
has achieved a complete success in meeting all these criteria, which are difficult to combine.
Very lively and playful, the FOLIAJUBILÉ knows how to handle the colors and tones of musical
instruments and human voices with surprising ease for a speaker of its size and cost. The mid-
range is rich and luminous, at the same time precise and very physical. The low end is astonishing
in view of its volume, and there is neither strain nor noticeable limitations in this register.
Its loading principle makes it possible to use almost no damping material,
so the lowest octaves have excellent readability: there is no feeling of the constriction
often present when using such a small sized enclosure.
Because it is designed so that it can also be hung on the wall or leaned against it,
you can obtain even more body and energy in the low register in these locations.
The laterally and mirrored event ports diffuse a complementary and very homogeneous sound
field in the low-mid-low register so that the presence of the wall behind them will not disturb
the readability in this portion of the spectrum. The stereophonic image is stable and precise and
opens wide beyond the loudspeakers, indicating a rigorous phasing of all the components.
The latest optimizations for this Jubilee version have allowed us to further improve
the performances of this small and very endearing loudspeaker system. Thus, the use of an
aluminum basket, more rigid than the ABS one, allowed us to improve the pulse response and
therefore the dynamics. The phase plug on its tweeter improves its directivity and its linearity.
The large-sized velvet felt on its front baffle allows it to diffract the first reflections on the
cabinet and improves the quality of the sound stage. We took the opportunity to modernize its
aesthetics and give it a more upmarket character thanks to the rounded edges of its front as
well as the large roundedness of its horizontal rear edges.
The FOLIAJUBILÉ should please music lovers seeking a sound with a refined tone and without
artifice or caricature. It will provide hours of listening without fatigue and weariness and
in all points faithful to the sound philosophy of Jean Marie Reynaud’s products.
