Mounting and Fixing
NuQ full-range series cabinets are designed with multiple internal rigging points to suit many possible
mounting methods in permanent installations. NuQ series two-way cabinets are equipped with pole mount
sockets for portable use on 35 mm speaker stands or poles. Bass cabinets are equipped with pole mount
receptacles that allow two-way cabinets to be mounted at the correct height.
TURBOSOUND wall and ceiling brackets are optionally available for installing NuQ series cabinets. They are
also compatible with industry standard wall and ceiling brackets. Some examples are shown below.

NuQ82/102-SB
Mount the bracket to the ceiling or wall in desired location.
Insert the swivel holder into the speaker pole socket on the bottom
of the speaker.
One arm of the bracket has 2 holes side-by-side at the end, while the
other arm has one hole. Lift the speaker into the bracket so that the
bottom of the speaker faces the bracket arm with 2 holes at the end.
Attach the larger M5 screws through the 2 holes and into the
swivel holder.
Lightly screw the plastic handle screw through the other bracket arm
and into the top of the speaker. Position the speaker angle before
tightening the handle screw.
Insert the M4 screws through the remaining holes in the bracket arm and into the speaker to solidify the
speaker angle.
NuQ82/102/122/152-FY
Attach one of the side plates to the bracket by sliding
the threaded screw of the plate through the hole in the
bracket arm.
Place one of the larger 13 mm fl at washers over the
threaded screw, followed by a 13 mm spring washer,
followed by another 13 mm fl at washer.
Lightly screw one of the knobs onto the threaded screw
to secure the plate to the bracket.
Repeat the above steps to attach the other side plate to
the bracket.
Mount the bracket assembly to the ceiling or wall in
desired location.
Place one of the smaller 10 mm spring washers onto
one of the M10 screws, followed by a 10 mm fl at washer.
Repeat for the other 3 screws.
Lift the speaker into the bracket assembly and attach the screws through the side plates and into the
threaded inserts in the side of the speaker. Position the speaker angle before tightening the side knobs.
NuQ82/102-EB
Mount the SB bracket to the ceiling or wall in desired location.
Insert the swivel holders into the speaker pole socket on the
bottom of each speaker.
While installing the fi rst speaker into the bracket as described
in the SB instructions, include the extension arms on the outer
side of the bracket before the screws and knob are installed.
Make sure the extension with the 2 diagonal slots goes on the
side where the bottom of the speaker is attached.
After the fi rst speaker is installed, lift the second speaker into
the extension arms and repeat the installation steps. The angle
of the extension arms and of the second speaker can be
adjusted before tightening the respective screws.
NuQ62-SB
Mount the bracket to the ceiling or wall in desired location.
Attach the smaller bracket joints to the top and bottom of the
speaker with the included M8x12 bolts.
Lift the speaker into the bracket and attach the M8x16 screws
to the bracket and bracket joints. Position the speaker angle
before tightening.

Suspending with Eyebolts
NuQ cabinets can be suspended using optional eyebolts coupled to the
internal rigging points provided on the top, bottom and sides and back.
The simplest method is to use the two rigging points on the top and a
single pull-back rigging point in the centre of the rear panel.
Remove the appropriate countersunk screws and replace them with
shoulder eyebolts, which must have a thread length of at least 18 mm.
Use the rear rigging point to angle the cabinet for optimum room
coverage. Cabinets may be hung upside down if required.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The mounting of a permanently installed sound system
may be dangerous unless undertaken by qualifi ed personnel with the
required experience and certifi cation to perform the necessary tasks.
Walls, oors or ceilings must be capable of safely and securely supporting the actual load. The mounting
accessory used must be safely and securely fi xed both to the loudspeaker and to the wall, fl oor or ceiling.
When mounting rigging components on walls, fl oors or ceilings, ensure that all fi xings and fasteners
used are of an appropriate size and load rating. Wall and ceiling claddings, and the construction and
composition of walls and ceilings, all need to be taken into account when determining whether a
particular fi xing arrangement can be safely employed for a particular load. Cavity plugs or other specialist
xings, if required, must be of an appropriate type, and must be fi tted and used in accordance with the
makers instructions.
The operation of your speaker cabinet as part of a fl own system, if installed incorrectly and improperly,
can potentially expose persons to serious health risks and even death. In addition, please ensure that
electrical, mechanical and acoustic considerations are discussed with qualifi ed and certifi ed (by local state
or national authorities) personnel prior to any installation or fl ying.
Make sure that speaker cabinets are set up and fl own by qualifi ed and certifi ed personnel only,
using dedicated equipment and original parts and components delivered with the unit. If any parts or
components are missing please contact your dealer before attempting to set up the system.
Be sure to observe the local, state and other safety regulations applicable in your country. MUSIC Group,
including the MUSIC Group companies listed on the enclosed “Service Information Sheet, assumes no
liability for any damage or personal injury resulting from improper use, installation or operation of the
product. Regular checks must be conducted by qualifi ed personnel to ensure that the system remains in a
secure and stable condition. Make sure that, where the speaker is fl own, the area underneath the speaker is
free of human traf c. Do not fl y the speaker in areas that can be entered or used by members of the public.
Speakers create a magnetic fi eld, even if not in operation. Therefore, please keep all materials that can
be affected by such fi elds (discs, computers, monitors, etc) at a safe distance. A safe distance is usually
between 1 and 2 metres.
