A barrier designed to reduce the risk of burns from the hot
viewing glass is provided with this appliance and shall be
installed for the protection of children and other at-risk
individuals.
The 745 Clearview Front is designed to
be used along with an outer surround
trim (supplied separately).
The Clearview Front fi ts within the
outer surround trim and clips onto the
standard mounting brackets supplied
with the 738 and 739 heaters or the
RA24ZC Zero Clearance Kit.
The Clearview Front is compatible with
all outer surround trims and cast iron
surrounds available for use with the
738 and 739 heaters and the RA24ZC
Zero Clearance Kit.

1. Install the 738 or 739 engine as per instructions
supplied with engine. Install the RF24XB engine
and RA24ZC zero clearance box as per instructions
supplied with each.
2. Install the outer trim to the engine or ZC box as per
instructions supplied with the trim.
3. 738/739 only. With the window installed on the
heater, clip on the window trim to the top of the
window frame as indicated here.
4. 739 only (for 738 and RA24ZC: proceed to step
5). Fit the convection baffl e and secure it to the top
of the fi rebox with two existing screws.

5. All. Hook the barrier screen to the rear side of the
Clearview frame.
6. 738 only. Clip the extension baffl e provided with
the Clearview frame to the sheet metal edge of
draft hood divider as indicated.
7. All. Hook the Clearview frame fi tted with the barrier
screen within the outer trim.
8. Hook the fret 758CCB, 1225VFB inserting the
mounting screws into the slots of the fret supports
on the frame, or hook the access panel 740CAP to
the supports of the Clearview frame.
Installation with 1236MAP—Metropolis Fret
1. Install 738 or 739 engine as per instructions
supplied with engine. Install RF24XB engine and
RA24ZC zero clearance box as per instructions
supplied with each.
2. Install trim to engine as per instructions supplied
with engine or trim.
3. Remove the bottom support from the Clearview
frame and discard. Refi t the nuts to the frame.
4. Hook the Clearview frame within the outer trim.
5. Center the fret in the Clearview frame at the base
of the fi replace.

Repair Parts ListMaintenance
To clean the front trim, use mild soap and water. You
can dust the screen with a soft brush. To brush the
back of the screen, simply unhook the front trim.
If the barrier becomes damaged, the barrier shall
be replaced with the manufacturer’s barrier for this
appliance.
To clean the window and ceramics inside the fi rebox,
consult the Owner’s Information section of the
Installation and Owner’s Manual supplied with the
fi replace.

5. Tous. Accrochez le pare-étincelles à l’arrière de la
devanture Clearview.
6. 738 seulement. Accrochez le défl ecteur d’exten-
sion fourni avec la devanture Clearview à la bor-
dure de métal directement sous le coupe-tirage de
l’appareil afi n de permettre l’extension de la bor-
dure vers l’avant.
7. Tous. Accrochez la devanture Clearview munie
du pare-étincelles aux supports de montage à
l’intérieur de la bordure.
8. Accrochez la Base de fonte 758CCB ou 1225VFB
en insérant ses vis de fi xation dans les fentes des
supports sur la devanture Clearview ou accrochez
le Panneau d’accès 740CAP par son rebord aux
supports de la devanture Clearview.
Installation avec la Base Metropolis 1236MAP
1. Installez le foyer 738 ou 739 selon les directives
fournies avec le foyer. Installez le RF24XB et
RA24ZC selon les directives fournies avec le foyer
et le kit à dégagement zéro.
2. Installez la bordure choisie au foyer selon les
directives fournies avec la bordure.
3. Enlevez la base de la devanture Clearview. Jetez
ou recyclez-la. Revissez les écrous à la devanture.
4. Accrochez la devanture Clearview aux supports de
montage de la bordure.
5. Centrez la base Metropolis sur la devanture
Clearview à la base du foyer.

Entretien
Pour nettoyer la bordure, utilisez une solution d’eau et
de savon doux. Époussettez le pare-étincelles à l’aide
d’une brosse à poils doux. Pour brossez l’arrière du
pare-étincelles, décrochez simplement la bordure.
Si le pare-étincelles est endommagé, il doit être
remplacé par le pare-étincelles conçu par le manu-
facturier pour cet appareil.
Pour nettoyer la fenêtre et l’intérieur de la boîte de
foyer, consultez la section Information à l’intention du
consommateur dans le Guide de l’installation et du
consommateur fourni avec le foyer.
