Safety Notes
The following Safety Notes include important information about installation, use,
and maintenance.
• Always connect the product to a grounded circuit.
• Make sure the power cord is not crimped or damaged.
• Always disconnect the product from the power source before cleaning it or
replacing the fuse.
• Never disconnect the product from the power source by pulling or tugging on
the cord.
• If mounting the product overhead, make sure there is adequate support for the
product’s weight and always secure the product using a safety cable.
• Make sure there are no flammable materials close to the product when it is
operating.
• The product is not intended for permanent installation.
• The product is for indoor use only. It is rated at IP20.
• Do not expose the product to rain or moisture.
• Always connect the product to a power source that is within the voltage range
stated on the label or rear panel of the product.
• Make sure to replace the fuse with another of the same type and rating.
• Always install the product in a location with adequate ventilation.
• Do not operate the product at an ambient temperature higher than
104 °F (40 °C).
• Never carry the product by the power cord.
• If there is a serious operating problem, stop using the product immediately.
• Never try to repair the product. Repairs carried out by untrained people can
lead to damage or malfunction.

To Begin
Carefully unpack the Data Stream 4 and check that all the parts are in the
package, and are in good condition.
If the box, or any of the contents, appear damaged from shipping, or show signs
of mishandling, save all the
packaging and file a claim with the carrier
immediately, do not notify Chauvet. Failure to report damage t
o the carrier
immediately, or failure to have all the
packaging available for inspection, could
invalidate the claim.
For other issues, such as missing components or parts, damage not related to
shipping, or concealed damage, file a claim with Chauvet
within 7 days of

Description
The Data Stream 4 is a universal DMX-512 optical splitter designed to
distribute/boost the incoming DMX signal into 4 separate outputs. Each of the 4
outputs is electronically isolated from the others, with the exception of the DMX
Thru (throughput) or Link Out. Each output has 3- and 5-pin XLR port
s. Increase
operation by linking other Data Stream 4 units together.

AC Power
Data Stream 4 has an auto-ranging power supply that works with a voltage range
of 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
To eliminate wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-use
completely disconnect from power via breaker or by unplugging it.
Fuse Replacement
1. Disconnect the product from power.
2. Wedge the tip of a flat-head screwdriver into the slot of the fuse holder.
3. Pry the fuse holder from its housing.
4. Remove the blown fuse from the clip on the front of the safety cap and
replace with a fuse of the exact same type and rating.
5. Re-insert the fuse holder and reconnect power.
Disconnect the product from power before replacing the fuse.

The Data Stream 4 works with DMX controllers. For information

Mounting
Before mounting the Data Stream 4, read the Safety Notes in this QRG. The Data
Stream 4
conveniently mounts in a single rack space (1U). If mounting overhead,
make sure the mounting clamps (such as CLP-15 clamps from Chauvet)
are
capable of supporting the weight of the product. Always use a mounting p
oint and
at least one safety cable per product. For the Chauvet line of mounting

Para Empezar
Desembale el Data Stream 4 con cuidado y compruebe que todas las piezas están en el

Descripción
El Data Stream 4 es un splitter óptico DMX-512 universal diseñado para
distribuir/amplificar la señal DMX entrante en 4 salidas independientes. Cada una

Data Stream 4 tiene una fuente de alimentación con detección automática (auto-

Sustitución del Fusible

alimentación.

Instalación

Description
Le Data Stream 4 est un répartiteur optique DMX-512 conçu pour amplifier des
signaux DMX entrants et les distribuer sur 4 sorties distinctes. Chacune des 4

Remplacement des
Fusibles
1. Débranchez l'appareil de l'alimentation.
2. Insérez et calez la pointe d'un tournevis à tête plate dans la fente du porte-
fusible.
3. En faisant levier, faites sortir de son emplacement le couvercle du porte-
fusible.
4. Retirez le fusible obsolète du clip se trouvant à l'avant du couvercle de
sécurité et remplacez-le par un fusible équivalent.
5. Insérez à nouveau le porte-fusible puis rebranchez l'appareil.
Débranchez l'appareil avant de changer le fusible.

Beschreibung

Auswechseln der
Sicherung
1. Trennen Sie das Gerät vom Stromnetz.
1. Keil die Spitze eines flachen Schraubenzieher in den Sc
hlitz der
Sicherungshalterung.
2. Entfernen Sie die durchgebrannte Sicherung.
3.
Achten Sie beim Auswechseln der Sicherung darauf, den gleichen Typ mit
den gleichen Werten zu verwenden.
4.
Schrauben Sie die Abdeckung der Sicherung wieder ein, und schließen Sie
das Gerät wieder an das Stromnetz an.
Trennen Sie das Gerät von der Stromquelle, bevor Sie die Sicherung
auswechseln.
DMX-Verbindung
Der Data Stream 4 kann mit einem DMX-Controller angesteuert werden.

Montage
Lesen Sie vor der Montage des Data Stream 4 die Sicherheitshinweise dieser
Schnellanleitung durch. Der Data Stream 4 kann bequem in einen einzelnen Rack-
Einschub (1U) installiert werden. Stellen Sie bei einer Über-Kopf-Montage sicher,
dass die Befestigungsklemmen (wie die CLP-15 von Chauvet
) dafür ausgelegt
sind, das Produktgewic
ht tragen zu können. Verwenden Sie pro Gerät immer

Disimballare con attenzione Data Stream 4 ed accertarsi di aver ricevuto tutti i
componenti integri.
Se l'imballo o uno qualsiasi dei componenti appaiono danneggiati, o mostrano
segni di maltrattamento, notificarlo immediatamente al trasportatore, non a
Chauvet. La mancata tempestività nella segnalazione al corrier
e o l'impossibilità
di sottoporre a verifica materiali ed imballaggi, può invalidare la richiesta di
indennizzo.
Per altri problemi quali componenti o parti mancanti, danni non correlati al
trasporto o danni occulti, presentare reclamo a Chauvet
entro sette (7) giorni dal

Descrizione
Data Stream 4 uno sdoppiatore DMX-512 isolato otticamente progettato per
distribuire/potenziare il segnale DMX in ingresso su quattro uscite separate.
Ognuna delle quattro uscite è isolata otticamente dalle altre, con l'eccezione di
DMX Thru (throughput) o Link Out. Ci
ascuna uscita dispone di prese XLR a 3 e
a 5 pin. È possibile potenziare il funzionamento collegando insieme altre unità
Data Stream 4.

in ingresso di 100 - 240 V CC - 50/60 Hz.
Per evitare un consumo inutile ed aumentare la durata, durante i periodi di

l'interruttore o scollegando il cavo.

Sostituzione Fusibile
1. Scollegare l'unità dall'alimentazione elettrica.
2. Inserire la punta di un giravite a testa piatta nella fessura
dell'alloggiamento del fusibile.
3. Rimuovere dall'alloggiamento il cappellotto di sicurezza.
4. Rimuovere il fusibile bruciato dalla clip sulla parte anteriore del
cappellotto di sicurezza e sostituirlo con uno identico.
5. Reinserire il portafusibile e ricollegare l'alimentazione elettrica.
Prima di sostituire il fusibile, scollegare l'alimentazione elettrica dall'unità.

Montaggio

Veiligheidsinstructies
De volgende veiligheidsinstructies bevatten belangrijke informatie over de
installatie, het gebruik en het onderhoud.
• Sluit het product altijd aan op een geaard circuit.
• Zorg ervoor dat de stroomkabel niet gesmolten of beschadigd is.
• Haal altijd de stekker van het product uit het stopcontact voordat u het
reinigt of voor het vervangen van de zekering.

• Zorg ervoor de zekering te vervangen door een andere van hetzelfde
type.
• Installeer het product altijd op een plaats met voldoende ventilatie.
• Gebruik het product niet bij een omgevingstemperatuur hoger dan
104 °F (40 °C).
• Draag het product nooit aan het snoer.
• Als er een ernstige operationele problemen zijn, stop dan onmiddellijk
met het gebruik van het product.
• Probeer nooit om het product te repareren. Reparaties uitgevoerd door

Om te beginnen
Pak de Data Stream 4 voorzichtig uit en controleer of alle onderdelen in de
verpakking in goede staat zijn.
Als de doos, of een deel
van de inhoud beschadigd lijkt te zijn door transport of
andere tekenen van verkeerd gebruik vertoont, bewaar dan al het
verpakkingsmateriaal en dien onmiddellijk een schadeclaim in bij de vervoerder,
niet bij Chauvet. Het niet onmiddellijk rapporteren van
schade bij de vervoerder,
dan wel het niet alle verpakkingen beschikbaar houden voor inspectie, kan de
claim ongeldig maken.
Dien voor andere problemen, zoals ontbrekende onderdelen of delen, schade niet
gerelateerd aan transport, of verborgen schade, een schadeclaim in bij Chauvet
binnen de 7 dagen na levering. Voor informatie over contact met Chauvet, zie

Beschrijving
De Data Stream 4 is een universele DMX-512 optische splitter die is ontworpen
om het binnenkomende DMX-
signaal te verdelen/versterken in 4 aparte
uitgangen. Elk van de 4 is elektronisch geïsoleerd van de andere, met uitzondering
van de DMX Thru (doorvoer) of Link Out. Elke uitgang heeft 3- en 5-pins XLR-
poorten. Vergroot het bedieningsbereik door andere Data Stream 4-
eenheden aan
elkaar te koppelen.

De Data Stream 4 heeft een voeding met automatisch bereik die werkt met een
spanningsbereik van 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.

Vervangen van de
zekering
1. Ontkoppel het apparaat van de stroom.
2. Wig de punt van een platte schroevendraaier in de sleuf van de
zekeringhouder.
3. Druk de zekeringhouder uit zijn behuizing.
4. Verwijder de doorgebrande zekering vanaf de clip aan de voorkant van de
veiligheidsafdekking en vervang deze door een zekering van exact hetzelfde
type.
5. Plaats de zekeringhouder terug en steek de stekker er weer in.
Ontkoppel het product van de stroom uit voordat u de zekering vervangt.

Montage
Lees alvorens de Data Stream 4 te monteren alle Veiligheidsaanwijzingen in deze
Beknopte Handleiding. De Data Stream 4
is eenvoudig te monteren in een
rekruimte met 1 plek (1U). als het product boven het hoofd wordt gemonteerd,
moet gecontroleerd worden of de montageklemmen (zoals CLP-15N-klemmen
van Chauvet
) het gewicht van het product kunnen dragen. Gebruik per product
altijd een montagepunt en ten minste een veiligheidskabel. Ga voor de Chauvet-
