- Clothes dryer installation must be performed by a qualified installer,

- install the clothes dryer according to the manufacturer's instructions and local codes.

- Do not install a clothes dryer with flexible plastic venting materials or flexible metal

(foil type) duct, if flexible metal duct is installed, it must be of a specific type identified

by the appliance manufacturer as suitable for use with clothes dryers. Flexible venting

materials are known to collapse, be easily crushed, and trap lint. These conditions will

obstruct clothes dryer airflow and increase the risk of fire.

WARNING: Never stop a tumble dryer before the end of drying cycle unless all items are quickly removed and spread out

so that the heat is dissipated.

SPECIFICATIONS

These units are sold in multiple regions with different

requirements for measuring capacity. Below are a few

of the valid forms of measure posted on this product:

Dry Linen Capacity: A weight measure that reflects

a maximum load size that can be loaded into the dryer.

Test Capacity: The capacity measure that represents

the capacity at which safety testing was completed.

CHECK YOUR VENT SYSTEM FOR GOOD AIR FLOW

Fire Hazard

Use a heavy metal vent,

Do not use a plastic vent.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in death

or fire.

Good Air Flow

Along with heat, dryers require good air flow to efficiently

dry laundry. Proper venting will reduce your drying times

and improve your energy savings. See Installation

Instructions.

The venting system attached to the dryer plays a big role in

good air flow.

Service calls caused by improper venting are not covered

by the warranty and will be paid by the customer, regardless

of who installed the dryer.

Maintain good air flow by:

[] Cleaning your lint screen before each load.

[] Replace plastic or foil vent material with 102 mm (4")

diameter heavy, rigid vent material.

Use the shortest length of vent possible.

Use no more than four 90° elbows in a vent system;

each bend and curve reduces air flow.

Remove lint and debris from the exhaust hood.

Remove lint from the entire length of the vent system at

least every 2 years. When cleaning is complete, be sure

to follow the Installation Instructions supplied with your

dryer for final product check.

_Jse Automatic cycles for Better Fabric Care and Energy Savings

Use the Automatic Cycles to provide the most energy savings and enhanced fabric care from the dryer. During Automatic Cycles,

drying air temperature and moisture level are sensed in the load. This sensing occurs throughout the drying cycle and the dryer

shuts off when the load reaches the selected dryness. The dryer will default to Normal Dryness Level to give you optimal dryness

for your load and save energy.

With Timed Dry, the dryer runs the amount of time set and sometimes results in shrinkage, wrinkling, and static due to overdrying.

Use Timed Dry for the occasional damp load that needs a little more drying time or when using the drying rack.

END OF CYCLE SIGNAL/PUSH TO START

The End of Cycle Signal produces an audible sound when

the drying cycle is finished. Promptly removing clothes at the

end of the cycle reduces wrinkling.

Turn the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL knob to select the

desired setting (On or Off). Press the PUSH to START

knob to start the dryer.

NOTE: When the Wrinkle Shield setting is selected

and the End of Cycle Signal is on, the tone will sound

every 5 minutes until the clothes are removed, or the Wrinkle

Shield setting ends.

O WRINKLE SHIELD FEATURE (on some models)

When you are unable to remove a load of clothes from the

dryer as soon as it stops, wrinkles can form. The WRINKLE

SHIELD feature periodically tumbles, rearranges, and fluffs

the load to help keep wrinkles from forming.

[] Get up to 40 minutes of heat-free, periodic tumbling at

the end of a cycle. Turn the WRINKLE SHIELD knob to

ON or OFF at any time before the cycle has ended.

TEMPERATURE / FABRIC (on some models)

Select a drying temperature based on the fabrics in your

load. If you are unsure of the temperature to select for a

load, select the lower setting rather than the higher setting.

DRYER CYCLE KNOB

Use your Dryer Cycle knob to select available cycles on

your dryer. Turn the knob to select a cycle for your laundry

load. See "Cycle Guide" for detailed descriptions of cycles.

TIMED DRY

Will run the dryer for the specified time on the control.

On models with a selectable temperature knob, you may

choose a setting based on the fabrics in your load. Drying

time and temperature will depend on your dryer model.

FLUFF AIR

Will run the dryer in a no heat cycle for the specified time

on the control. On models with a selectable temperature

knob, you may choose a setting based on the fabrics in

your load. Drying time will depend on your dryer model.

AUTOMATIC DRY

Senses moisture in the load or air temperature and shuts

off when the load reaches the selected dryness level.

Gives the best drying in the shortest time. Drying time will

vary based on fabric type, load size, and dryness setting.

drying medium-weight items such as sheets, blouses, dresses,

Do not dry anything that has ever had any type of oil on

it (including cooking oils).

AUTOMATIC DRY Cycles

You can select a different dryness level, depending on your load,

by turning the knob to dryness level.

Selecting Jeans*, Very Dry, ENERGY PREFERRED, or Less Dry

/Delicate automatically adjusts the dryness level at which the

dryer will shut off. Once a dry level is set, it cannot be changed

without stopping the cycle.

AUTOMATIC DRY cycles give the best drying in the shortest

time. Drying time varies based on fabric type, load size, and

dryness setting.

NOTE: Jeans* is used for heavy fabric loads and removes the

most moisture. Very Dry removes load moisture and is used for

medium fabric loads. ENERGY PREFERRED is used for a starting

point for AUTODRY cycles. Choose ENERGY PREFERRED for

optimal energy savings. Less Dry/Delicate removes less moisture

and used for loads you may want to put on a hanger to complete

drying.

1. Apply a liquid, nonflammable household cleaner to the

stained area of the drum and rub with a soft cloth until

stain is removed.

2. Wipe drum thoroughly with a damp cloth.

3. Tumble a load of clean cloths or towels to dry the drum.

NOTE: Garments that contain loose dyes, such as denim

blue jeans or brightly colored cotton items, may discolor the

dryer interior. These stains are not harmful to your dryer and

will not stain future loads of clothes. Dry these items inside

out to avoid drum staining.

Removing accumulated lint

Lint should be removed every 2 years, or more often,

depending on dryer usage. Cleaning should be done

by a qualified servicer.

Cleaning the lint screen

Every load cleaning

The lint screen is located in the door opening of the dryer.

A screen blocked by lint can increase drying time.

To clean:

1. Pull the lint screen straight up. Roll lint off the screen

with your fingers. Do not rinse or wash screen to

remove lint.

2. Push the lint screen firmly back into place.

IMPORTANT:

[] Do not run the dryer with the lint screen loose,

damaged, blocked, or missing. Doing so can cause

overheating and damage to both the dryer and fabrics.

[] If lint falls off the screen into the dryer during removal,

check the exhaust hood and remove the lint. See

"Venting Requirements."

As needed cleaning

Laundry detergent and fabric softener residue can build

up on the lint screen. This buildup can cause longer drying

times for your clothes, or cause the dryer to stop before

your load is completely dry. The screen is probably clogged

if lint falls off while the screen is in the dryer.

Clean the lint screen with a nylon brush every 6 months,

or more frequently, if it becomes clogged due to a residue

buildup.

To wash:

1. Roll lint off the screen with your fingers.

2. Wet both sides of lint screen with hot water.

3. Wet a nylon brush with hot water and liquid detergent.

Scrub lint screen with the brush to remove residue

buildup.

4. Rinse screen with hot water.

5. Thoroughly dry lint screen with a clean towel.

Reinstall screen in dryer.

Non=Use or Storage Care

Operate your dryer only when you are at home. If you will

be on vacation or not using your dryer for an extended

period of time, you should:

1. Unplug dryer or disconnect power.

2. Clean lint screen. See "Cleaning the Lint Screen."

Moving Care

For power supply cord=connected dryers:

1. Unplug the power supply cord.

2. Make sure leveling legs are secure in dryer base.

3. Use tape to secure dryer door.

Electrical Shock Hazard

Circulation d'air adequate

Un s_che-linge a besoin de chaleur et d'une circulation

d'air ad6quate pour s6cher efficacement le linge. Une

ventilation ad6quate r6duit les dur6es de s6chage et accroft

les 6conomies d'6nergie. Voir les Instructions d'installation.

Le syst_me d'6vacuation fix6 au s_che-linge joue un r61e

important dans la circulation de I'air.

Les interventions de d6pannage caus6es par une ventilation

incorrecte ne sont pas couvertes par la garantie et seront

h la charge du client, quel que soit I'installateur

du s_che-linge.

Maintenir une bonne circulation d'air

en effectuant ies operations suivantes •

[] Nettoyer le filtre _.pehches avant chaque charge.

[] Remplacer le mat6riau de conduits d'6vacuation en

plastique ou en ahminium par des conduits d'6vacuation

Iourds et rigides de 102 mm (4") de diametre.

[] Toujours employer les conduits d'6vacuation les plus

courts possible.

[] Ne pas utiliser plus de quatre coudes/_ 90 ° dans un

circuit d'6vacuation car chaque inclinaison et courbe

r6duit le flux d'air.

[] Retirer les pehches et les r6sidus du clapet d'6vacuation.

Utilisation des programmes automatiques pour un rneiileur soin du tissu

et davantage d'_conornies d'_nergie

Utiliser les Automatic Cycles (programmes automatiques) pour r_aliser un maximum d'_conomies d'_nergie et pour que le

s_cheqinge apporte un soin sup_rieur aux tissus. Durant les programmes automatiques, la temperature de s_chage de I'air et

le niveau d'humidit_ sont d_tect_s dans la charge. Cette d_tection se produit tout au long du programme de s_chage et le

s_che-linge s'_teint Iorsque la charge atteint le degr_ de s_chage s_lectionn_. Le seche-linge passera au r_glage par d_faut de

niveau de s_chage normal pour un niveau de s_chage optimal de la charge, et pour vous permettre d'_conomiser de I'_nergie.

Avec Timed Dry (s_chage minute), le seche-linge fonctionne pendant la dur_e r_gl_e, ce qui peut parfois entra?ner le

r_tr_cissement ou le froissement du linge, et I'accumulation d'_lectricit_ statique due au s_chage excessif. Utiliser le s_chage

minut_ pour une charge encore humide n_cessitant un peu de temps suppl_mentaire ou Iorsqu'on utilise la grille de s_chage.

POUR METTER EN MARCHE)

Le signal de fin de programme 6met un signal sonore qui

indique la fin du programme de s6chage. Le fait de sortir

rapidement les v6tements b,h fin du programme permet

de r6duire le froissement.

Tourner le bouton END OF CYCLE SIGNAL (signal de fin

de programme) pour activer ou d6sactiver le r6glage d6sir6.

Appuyer sur le bouton PUSH TO START (enfoncer pour

mettre en marche) pour mettre le s_che-linge en marche.

REMARQUE : Lorsque le r6glage Wrinkle Shield

(antifroissement) est s61ectionn6 et que le signal de

programme est activ6, un signal sonore retentit toutes

les 5 minutes jusqu'b, ce que les v6tements soient

retires, ou que le r6ghge Wrinkle Shield (antifroissement)

se termine.

CARAOTERISTIQUE WRINKLE SHIELD

Lorsqu'on ne peut pas enlever une charge du s_che-linge

d_s qu'il s'arr6te, des faux plis peuvent se former. La

caract6ristique WRINKLE SHIELD (antifroissement) effectue

un cubutage de h charge, la reagence et I'a6re b.intervalles

r6guliers pour aider b,6viter la formation de faux plis.

[] Obtenez jusqu'b, 40 minutes de culbutage p6riodique

sans chaleur b,la fin d'un programme. Appuyer sur le

bouton WRINKLE SHIELD (antifroissement) pour ACTIVER

ou DESACTIVER cette fonction & tout moment avant la fin

d'un programme.

TEMPERATURE/FABRIC (TEMPERATURE/TISSUS)

Choisir une temperature de sechage en fonction des tissus de

votre charge. Si vous h6sitez sur la temperature b,s61ectionner

pour une charge donnee, choisir le r6glage plus bas pht6t que

le reglage plus elev6.

BOUTON DE PROGRAMME DU SECHE-LINGE

Utiliser le bouton de programme de sechage pour selectionner

les programmes disponibles sur le seche-linge. Tourner le

bouton de programme pour selectionner un programme

correspondant b,lacharge de linge. Voir "Guide de programmes"

pour des descriptions de programmes d6taill6es.

TIMED DRY (SECHAGE MINUTE)

Ceci fait fonctionner le seche-Iinge pour la duree sp6cifiee

sur le module de commande. Pour les modeles dotes d'un

bouton de s61ection de temperature, vous pouvez choisir un

reglage en fonction des tissus de votre charge. Le temps de

sechage et la temperature dependront du modele de votre

seche-linge.

FLUFF AIR (DUVETAGE A [.'AIR)

Ceci fait fonctionner le seche-linge sans chaleur pendant

la duree specifi6e sur le module de commande. Sur les

modeles b,bouton de temperature reglable, on peut

selectionner un reglage selon les tissus de la charge.

La duree de sechage d@endra du modele de seche-linge.

AUTOMATIC DRY (PROGRAMMES AUTOMATIQUES)

Detecte I'humidite de la charge et la temperature de I'air

et s'eteint Iorsque la charge a atteint le degre de sechage

selectionn& Permet d'obtenir le meilleur rendement de

sechage en un minimum de temps. Le temps de sechage

variera en fonction du type de tissu, du volume de la charge

et du reglage de sechage.

Si le s_che-linge comporte plusieurs r6glages de chaleur :

On peut utiliser un r6glage de chaleur 61ev6e pour s6cher les

articles Iourds tels que les serviettes et les v_tements

de travail.

Un r_glage de chaleur Low Knits (bas-d_licats) a.Medium

Casual (moyen-tout-aller) peut _tre utilis_ pour s_cher les

articles moyennement Iourds tels que draps, chemisiers, robes,

sous-v_tements, tissus a pressage permanent et certains

tricots.

Utiliser le r_glage Fluff Air (s_chage a I'air) (sans chaleur) pour

la mousse, le caoutchouc, le plastique ou les tissus sensibles

h la chaleur.

S_cher sur une corde & linge les tissus doubles ou

multicouches.

REMARQUE : Pour toute question concernant les

temperatures de s_chage pour diverses charges, consulter

les instructions sur I'_tiquette de soin.

UTILISATION DU SECHE-LINGE

Risque d'explosion

Garder les mati_res et les vapeurs inflammables, telle

que I'essence, loin d'un s_che=linge.

Ne pas faire s_cher un article qui a d_jh _t_ touch_ par

un produit inflammable (m_me apr_s un lavage).

Le non-respect de ces instructions peut causer

un d6c_s, une explosion ou un incendie.

1, Nettoyer ie fiitre a peluches

Nettoyer le filtre h peluches avant chaque charge. Enlever le

filtre h peluches en les tirant tout droit vers le haut. Enlever les

peluches du filtre en la roulant avec les doigts. Ne pas rincer ni

laver le filtre pour enlever les peluches. Enfoncer fermement le

filtre h peluches pour le remettre en place.

Pour plus d'informations sur le nettoyage, voir "Entretien

du s_che-linge".

2, Charger ie s che-linge

Placer le linge dans le s_che-linge. Fermer la porte.

Ne pas tasser les v6tements dans le s_che-linge; les v6tements

doivent pouvoir culbuter librement.

REMARQUE : La porte de votre module peut diff6rer de celle

figurant sur Fillustration. Certains modules peuvent comporter

des portes h ouverture vers le bas.

Risque d'incendie

Aucun lave-linge ne peut compl_tement enlever I'huile.

Ne pas faire s_cher des articles qui ont 6t_ salts par

tout genre d'huile (y compris les huiles de cuisson).

Les articles contenant mousse, caoutchouc ou

plastique doivent _tre s_ch6s sur une corde & linge

ou par le programme de s_chage & I'aJr.

Le non-respect de ces instructions peut causer

AUTOMATIC DRY CYCLES

Selon votre charge, vous pouvez s61ectionner un degr6 de

s6chage diff6rent en tournant le bouton sur le degr6 de s6chage.

Lorsqu'on s61ectionne Jeans*, Very Dry (tres sec), ENERGY

PREFERRED (6conergique), ou Less Dry/Delicate (moins sec/

articles d61icats), le degr6 de s6chage qui commandera I'arret du

seche-linge est automatiquement ajust& Apres avoir s61ectionn6

un certain degr6 de s6chage, ilest impossible de le modifier sans

arr_ter le programme.

Les programmes de Automatic Dry (s6chage automatique) offrent

un s6chage id6al en un minimum de temps. La dur6e de s6chage

varie en fonction du type de tissu, de la taille de la charge et du

r_glage de niveau de s_chage.

REMARQUE : Jeans* peut _tre utilis_ pour les charges de tissus

Iourds - cette option aide aussi h _liminer la plus grande partie

de I'humidit& L'option Very Dry (tres sec) _limine I'humidit_ de la

charge et est utilis_e pour les charges de tissus de poids moyen.

ENERGY PREFERRED est utilis_ comme point de d_part dans

les programmes AutoDry. S_lectionner ENERGY PREFERRED

pour r_aliser des _conomies d'_nergie optimales. Le s_chage

Less Dry/Delicate (moins sec/articles d_licats) _limine moins

d'humidit_ et est utilis_ pour les charges que I'on souhaite placer

sur un cintre pour qu'elles finissent de s_cher.
