UNITS - Surface units may be hot even though they are
dark in color. Areas near surface units may become hot
enough to cause burns. During and after use, do not touch,
or let clothing or other flammable materials contact surface
units or areas near units until they have had sufficient time
to cool. Among those areas are the cooktop and surfaces
facing the cooktop.
[] Use Proper Pan Size - The range is equipped with one or
more surface units of different size. Select utensils having
flat bottoms large enough to cover the surface unit heating
element. The use of undersized utensils will expose a
portion of the heating element to direct contact and may
result in ignition of clothing. Proper relationship of utensil to
burner will also improve efficiency.
[] Never Leave Surface Units Unattended at High Heat
Settings - Boilover causes smoking and greasy spillovers
that may ignite.
[] Make Sure Reflector Pans or Drip Bowls Are in Place -
Absence of these pans or bowls during cooking may
subject wiring or components underneath to damage.
[] Protective Liners - Do not use aluminum foil to line surface
unit drip bowls or oven bottoms, except as suggested in
the manual. Improper installation of these liners may result
in a risk of electric shock, or fire.
[] Glazed Cooking Utensils - Only certain types of glass,
glass/ceramic, ceramic, earthenware, or other glazed
utensils are suitable for range-top service without breaking
due to the sudden change in temperature.
[] Utensil Handles Should Be Turned Inward and Not Extend
Over Adjacent Surface Units - To reduce the risk of burns,
ignition of flammable materials, and spillage due to
unintentional contact with the utensil, the handle of a
utensil should be positioned so that it is turned inward, and
does not extend over adjacent surface units.
[] Do Not Soak Removable Heating Elements - Heating
elements should never be immersed in water.
[] Do Not Cook on Broken Cooktop - If cooktop should
break, cleaning solutions and spillovers may penetrate the
broken cooktop and create a risk of electric shock. Contact
a qualified technician immediately.
[] Clean Cooktop With Caution - If a wet sponge or cloth is
used to wipe spills on a hot cooking area, be careful to
avoid steam burn. Some cleaners can produce noxious
fumes if applied to a hot surface.
[] Use Care When Opening Door - Let hot air or steam
escape before removing or replacing food.
[] Do Not Heat Unopened Food Containers - Build-up of
pressure may cause container to burst and result in injury.
[] Keep Oven Vent Ducts Unobstructed.
[] Placement of Oven Racks - Always place oven racks in
desired location while oven is cool. If rack must be moved
while oven is hot, do not let potholder contact hot heating
element in oven.
[] DO NOT TOUCH HEATING ELEMENTS OR INTERIOR
SURFACES OF OVEN - Heating elements may be hot even
though they are dark in color. Interior surfaces of an oven
become hot enough to cause burns. During and after use,
do not touch, or let clothing or other flammable materials
contact heating elements or interior surfaces of oven until
they have had sufficient time to cool. Other surfaces of the
appliance may become hot enough to cause burns - among
these surfaces are oven vent openings and surfaces near
these openings, oven doors, and windows of oven doors.
For self-cleaning ranges -
[] Do Not Clean Door Gasket - The door gasket is essential
for a good seal. Care should be taken not to rub, damage,
or move the gasket.
[] Do Not Use Oven Cleaners - No commercial oven cleaner
or oven liner protective coating of any kind should be used
in or around any part of the oven.

KEYPAD FEATURE INSTRUCTIONS
OVEN LIGHT Oven cavity light While the oven door is closed, press OVEN LIGHT to turn the light on and off. The oven light will
come on when the oven door is opened. The oven light will not come on during the Self-Clean
cycle.
TO LOCK Oven control
HOLD 3 SEC lockout
On models without the TO LOCK HOLD 3 SEC keypad, use the START keypad.
1. Check that the oven is off.
2. Press and hold TO LOCK HOLD 3 SEC keypad for 3 seconds (on some models, START
keypad for 3 seconds).
3. A tone will sound, and "Loc" will be displayed.
4. Repeat to unlock. Only the CLOCK, OVEN LIGHT, and TIMER keypads will function with the
controls locked.
CLOCK Clock The Clock uses a 12-hour cYclel
TIMER Oven timer The Timer can be set in hours or minutes up to 12 hours and 59 minutes.
1. Press TIMER.
2. Press TEMP/HOUR "More" or "Less" arrow pads to set the length of time.
3. Press START to begin the countdown. If enabled, end-of-cycle tones will sound at end of
countdown.
4. Press TIMER twice to cancel the Timer. Do not press the CANCEL/OFF keypad because the
oven will turn off.
5. If the TIMER is running, but not in the display, press TIMER to display the countdown for
5 seconds.

COOK TIME Timed cooking Timed Cooking allows the oven to be set to turn on at a certain time of day, cook for a set length
(on some of time, and/or shut off automatically. Delay start should not be used for foods such as breads
models) and cakes because they may not bake properly.
Toset a Timed Cook or a Delayed Timed Cook see "Timed Cooking" section.
START TIME Delayed start The Start Time keypad is used to enter the starting time for an oven funCtion with a delayed start.
START Cooking start The Start pad begins any oven function. If Start is not pressed within 5 seconds, "PUSH?" or
"PSH" appears in the display. If Start is not pressed within 1 minute after pressing a keypad, the
function is canceled and the time of day is displayed.
CANCEL/OFF Range function The cancel/off keypad Stops any function except the Clock' Timer, and oven Control Lockout.
TEMP/HOUR
Temperature and The "More" or "Less" arrow pads are used to adjust time and temperature settings.

Fire Hazard
Turn off all controls when done cooking.
Failure to do so can result in death or fire.
The control knobs can be set to anywhere between HI and LO.
Push in and turn to setting.
REMEMBER: When range is in use or (on some models)
during the Self-Cleaning cycle, the entire cooktop area may
become hot.
Hot Surface Indicator Light (on some models)
On ceramic glass models, the hot surface indicator light is located
on the console panel.
The hot surface indicator light will glow as long as any surface
cooking area is too hot to touch, even after the surface cooking
area is turned off.
Coil Elements and Burner Bowls (on some models)
Coil elements should be level for optimal cooking results. Burner
bowls, when clean, reflect heat back to the cooktop. They also help
catch spills.
Cookware should not extend move than 1/2"(1.3 cm) over the coil
element. If cookware is uneven or too large, it can produce excess
heat, causing the burner bowl to change color.
Dual Cooking Zone (on some models)
The Dual Cooking Zone offers flexibility depending on the size of
the cookware. Single size can be used inthe same way as a regular
element. The dual size combines both the single and outer element
and is recommended for larger size cookware.
Ceramic Glass (on some models)
The surface cooking area will glow red when an element is on. It
may cycle on and off to maintain the selected heat level.
Use cookware about the same size as the surface cooking area.
Cookware should not extend more than 1/2"(1.3 cm) outside the
area.
Cleaning off the cooktop before and after each use will help keep it
free from stains and provide the most even heating.
Cooktop On Indicator Light (on some models)
The Cooktop On indicator light is located on the console panel.
When any control knob on the console panel is turned on, the
Cooktop On indicator light will glow.

OVEN
Odors and smoke are normal when the oven is used the first few
times, or when it is heavily soiled.
IMPORTANT: The health of some birds is extremely sensitive to the
fumes given off. Exposure to the fumes may result in death to
certain birds. Always move birds to another closed and well-
ventilated room.
Control Display
The display willflash when powered up or after a power loss. Press
CANCEL/OFF to clear. When oven is not in use, the time of day is
displayed. Indicator lights show functions that are in use.
Tones
Tones are audible signals, indicating the following:
Basic Functions
One tone
Valid pad press
Oven is preheated (long tone)
Function has been entered
Reminder (on some models), repeating each minute after the
end-of-cycle tones
Three tones
Invalid pad press
Four tones
End of cycle
Fahrenheit and Celsius
The temperature is preset at Fahrenheit, but can be changed to
Celsius.
To change: Press and hold BROIL for 5 seconds. A tone will
sound, and "°C" or "°F" will appear on the display. Repeat to
change back.
To exit mode, press CANCEL!OFR
Oven Temperature Control
IMPORTANT: Do not use a thermometer to measure oven
temperature because opening the oven door may cause element
cycling to give incorrect readings.
The oven provides accurate temperatures; however, it may cook
faster or slower than your previous oven, so the temperature
calibration can be adjusted. It can be changed in Fahrenheit or
Celsius.
To Adjust Oven Temperature Calibration:
1. Press and hold BAKE for 5 seconds until the oven display
shows the current calibration, for example "0°F CAL" or "00."
2. Press the TEMP/HOUR "More" or "Less" arrow pads to
increase or to decrease the temperature in 10°F (5°C) amounts.
The adjustment can be set between 30°F (15°C) and -30°F
(-15°C).
3. Press START.
Options Mode
Press and hold TIMER for 5 seconds, and "Opt" will appear. Use
the TEMP/TIME keys to cycle through the following options. Press
CANCEL to exit the mode.
End of Cycle Tones
"bl" (beep once) or "b" (continue to beep) will be displayed. Press
TIMER to toggle through selection.
USE
12-Hour Shutoff
If "12 Hr" is displayed, the oven will automatically shut off after
12 hours. Press TIMER to toggle to "- Hr" to disable the 12-hour
shutoff.
Oven Light with Door Open
"LOn" indicates that the oven light will turn on when the door is
open. If "LOFF" is displayed, the oven light will turn on only with the
oven light switch. Press TIMER to toggle through selection.
The Sabbath Mode sets the oven to remain on in a Bake setting
until turned off. A Timed Bake can also be set to keep the oven on
for only part of the Sabbath. The Oven Control Lockout Feature (if
present) will be disabled during the Sabbath Mode. After the
Sabbath Mode is set no tones will sound, the display will not show
the temperature, the Kitchen Timer Mode will be canceled (if active)
and only the following pads will function:
"+" or "-" keypads (if present)
"More" and "Less" keypads (if present)
Cancel
When the oven door is opened or closed, the oven light will not turn
on or off and the heating elements will not turn on or off
immediately.
When power is restored after a power failure, the oven will return to
Sabbath Mode and remain Sabbath compliant with the bake
elements off until the Cancel keypad is pressed.
Pressing the Cancel keypad at any time returns the oven to the
normal cooking mode (not Sabbath Mode compliant).
Before entering the Sabbath Mode, it must be decided if the oven
light is to be on or off for the entire Sabbath Mode period. If the
light is on when entering Sabbath Mode, it will remain on for the
entire time Sabbath Mode is in use. If the light is off when entering
Sabbath Mode, it will remain off for the entire time Sabbath Mode is
in use. Opening the oven door or pressing the Oven Light keypad
will not affect the oven light once Sabbath Mode has been entered.
If the oven has the Convection Bake feature, the oven light is
controlled by a separate Oven Light switch on the console. If the
oven light is on when entering the Sabbath Mode, it will remain on
for the entire time Sabbath Mode is in use. For the oven light to be
off during the Sabbath Mode, the light bulb must be removed from
the oven prior to entering the Sabbath Mode. Not performing these
steps will cause the oven light to turn on when the oven door is
opened, resulting in the oven being not Sabbath compliant.
On the Holiday, the oven temperature can be changed once the
oven is in Sabbath Mode by pressing the "+" or "-" keypads (if
present) or the "More" or "Less" keypads (if present). The oven
temperature will change 25°F (14°C) each time the keypad is
pressed. The display will not change, and there will be no sounds
during this adjustment.
To Bake using Sabbath Mode:
1. Press BAKE.

Start indicator light will light up.

IMPORTANT: To avoid permanent damage to the oven bottom For best cooking results, do not cover entire oven rack with foil
finish, do not line the oven bottom with any type of foil or liner, because air must be able to move freely.
IMPORTANT: To avoid permanent damage to the porcelain finish,
do not place food or bakeware directly on the oven door or bottom.
Bakeware
To cook food evenly, hot air must be able to circulate. Allow
2" (5 cm) of space around bakeware and oven walls. Make sure
that no bakeware piece is directly over another.
Racks
Position racks before turning on the oven.
Do not move racks with bakeware on them.
Make sure racks are level.
To move a rack, pull it out to the stop position, raise the front edge,
and then lift out. Use the following illustration and charts as a
guide.

Rack Positions
Rack 5: Toasting bread or broiling thin, non-fatty foods.
Rack 4: Use for 2-rack baking and broiling.
Rack 3: Most baked goods on a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan, layer
cakes, frozen convenience foods. Broiling chicken pieces.
Rack 2: Roasting small cuts of meat, pies, casseroles, bundt
cakes, and 2-rack baking.
Rack 1: Roasting large cuts of meat and poultry.
Multiple Rack Cooking
2-rack: Use rack positions 2 and 4.
Baking Layer Cakes on 2 Racks
For best results when baking cakes on 2 racks, use racks 2 and 4
for baking. Place the cakes on the racks as shown.

The oven vent releases hot air and moisture from the oven, and
should not be blocked or covered. Blocking or covering the vent
will cause poor air circulation, affecting cooking and cleaning
results. Do not set plastics, paper or other items that could melt or
burn near the oven vent.
On coil element models, the element can be used when the oven is
in use as long as the cookware does not extend more than
1/2"(1.3 cm) over the element.
The bake and broil burners cycle on and off in intervals. This
feature is automatically activated when the oven is in use.
Before baking and roasting, position racks according to
"Positioning Racks and Bakeware" section. When roasting, it is not
necessary to wait for the oven preheat cycle to end before putting
food in unless it is recommended in the recipe.
Preheating
When START is pressed, the oven will begin preheating. Once
100°F (38°C) is reached, the display temperature will increase as
the actual temperature of the oven increases. When the preheat
temperature is reached, a tone will sound, and the selected
temperature will appear on the display.
Broiling uses direct radiant heat to cook food. Changing the
temperature when Custom Broiling allows more precise control
when cooking. The lower the temperature, the slower the cooking.
Thicker cuts and unevenly shaped pieces of meat, fish and poultry
may cook better at lower broiling temperatures.
For best results, use a broiler pan and grid. It is designed to
drain juices and help avoid spatter and smoke.
Ifyou would like to purchase a broiler pan, one may be ordered.

It is not necessary to preheat the oven before putting food in unless
recommended in the recipe. Position food on grid in a broiler pan,
then place it in the center of the oven rack. Close the door to the
broil stop position to ensure proper broiling temperature.

4. Press the TEMP HOUR "More" or "Less" arrow pads to enter
the length of time to cook.
5. Press START. The display will count down the time. When the
time ends, the oven will shut off automatically and "End" will
appear on the display.
6. Press CANCEL/OFF to clear the display.
To Set a Delayed Timed Cook:
Before setting, make sure the clock is set to the correct time of day.
See the "Clock" keypad feature in the "Feature Guide" section.

2. Press the TEMP HOUR "More" or "Less" arrow pads to enter a
temperature other than the one displayed.
3. Press COOK TIME. The cook time oven indicator light will light
up.
4. Press TEMP HOUR "More" or "Less" arrow pads to enter the
length of time to cook.
5. Press START TIME. The start time/delay oven indicator light will
light up.
6. Press TEMP HOUR "More" or "Less" arrow pads to enter the

The temperature and/or time settings can be changed anytime
after pressing Start by repeating steps 1-7. When the set cook time
ends, the oven will shut off automatically and "End" will appear on
the display.
8. Press CANCEL!OFF to clear the display.
RANGECARE
Burn Hazard
Do not touch the oven during the Self-Cleaning cycle.
Keep children away from oven during
Self-Cleaning cycle.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in burns.
IMPORTANT: The health of some birds is extremely sensitive to the
fumes given off during the Self-Cleaning cycle. Exposure to the
fumes may result in death to certain birds. Always move birds to
another closed and well-ventilated room.
Do not block the oven vent(s) during the Self-Cleaning cycle. Air
must be able to move freely. Depending on your model, see "Oven
Vent" section.
Do not clean, rub, damage or move the oven door gasket.
Prepare Range
Remove the broiler pan, grid, cookware and bakeware, all
cooking utensils, oven racks and aluminum foil and, on some
models, the temperature probe from the oven.
Use a damp cloth to clean inside door edge and the
11/2"(3.8 cm) area around the inside oven cavity frame, being
certain not to move or bend the gasket.
Remove plastic items from the cooktop because they may
melt.
Remove all items from the storage drawer.
How the Cycle Works
IMPORTANT: The heating and cooling of porcelain on steel in the
oven may result in discoloring, loss of gloss, hairline cracks and
popping sounds.
Before self-cleaning, make sure the door is completely closed or
the door will not lock and the self-cleaning cycle will not begin.
Once the oven has completely cooled, remove ash with a damp
cloth. To avoid breaking the glass, do not apply a cool damp cloth
to the inner door glass before it has completely cooled.
To stop the self-cleaning cycle at anytime, press the CANCEL
keypad. If the temperature is too high, the oven door will remain
locked and "cool" and "locked" will be displayed.
The oven light will not function during the self-cleaning cycle.
Style 1 - Electronic Oven Control with Adjustable Clean
Time (on some models)
The SELF CLEAN self-cleaning cycle is time adjustable between
2 hours 30 minutes and 4 hours 30 minutes in 15-minute
increments. Suggested clean times are 2 hours 30 minutes for light
soil, and 4 hours 30 minutes for heavy soil. The last 30 minutes of
the cycle is for cool down.
To Self-Clean:
1. Press SELFCLEAN.
2. Press the TEMP/HOUR "More" or "Less" arrow pads to enter
the desired self-clean cycle time.
3. Press START.
The oven door will automatically lock. The DOOR LOCKED and
CLEAN indicator lights will be displayed. The time remaining
will also be displayed.
4. When the self-clean cycle is complete and the oven cools, the
DOOR LOCKED and CLEAN indicator lights will turn off.
5. When the oven is completely cooled, remove ash with a damp
cloth.
Style 2 - Electronic Oven Control with Adjustable Self-Clean
(HI - LO) (on some models)
The self-cleaning cycle can be set at HI self-clean time (4 hours
30 minutes) or LO self-clean time (3 hours 30 minutes). The
suggested clean times are 3 hours 30 minutes for light soil, or
4 hours 30 minutes for heavy soil. The last 30 minutes of the cycles
is for cool down.
To Self-Clean:
1. Press SELF CLEAN to set the clean time to HI (4 hours
30 minutes).
2. Press the TEMP/HOUR "More" or "Less" arrow pads to cycle
between LO and HI clean time.
3. Press START.
The oven door will automatically lock. The CLEAN indicator
light will be displayed. The time remaining will also be
displayed.

pad:
Gently clean around the model and serial number plate
because scrubbing may remove numbers.

STAINLESS STEEL (on some models)
NOTE: To avoid damage to stainless steel surfaces, do not use
soap-filled scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, Cooktop Cleaner,

Damage may occur to stainless steel surfaces, even with one-time
or limited use.
Cleaning Method:
Rub in direction of grain to avoid damaging.

Liquid detergent or all-purpose cleaner:
Rinse with clean water and dry with soft, lint-free cloth.
METALLIC PAINT (on some models)
Do not use abrasive cleaners, cleaners with bleach, rust removers,
ammonia or sodium hydroxide (lye) because paint surface may
stain.
CERAMIC GLASS (on some models)
Cleaning Method:
Cooktop Cleaner Part Number 31464B is recommended regularly
to help avoid scratches, pitting and abrasions and to condition the
cooktop.
Cooktop Scraper Part Number WA906B is also recommended for
stubborn soils. These can be ordered as accessories. See cover for
contact information. The Cooktop Scraper uses razor blades. Store
razor blades out of the reach of children.
Do not use steel wool, abrasive powder cleansers, chlorine bleach,
rust remover or ammonia because damage may occur.
Light to moderate soil
Clean with paper towels or clean damp sponge
Sugary spills (jellies, candy, syrup)
Clean with cooktop scraper and cooktop cleaner. Scrape off
sugary spills while the cooktop is still warm. You may want to
wear oven mitts while cleaning the cooktop.
Heavy soil, dark streaks, specks and discoloration
Clean with Cooktop Cleaner or nonabrasive cleanser:
Burned-on soil
Clean with Cooktop Cleaner and Cooktop Scraper.
Metal marks from aluminum and copper
Clean with Cooktop Cleaner as soon as cooktop has cooled
down. The marks will not totally disappear, but after many
cleanings they will become less noticeable.
Tiny scratches and abrasions
Use Cooktop Cleaner for scratches. Scratches and abrasions
do not affect cooking performance, and after many cleanings
they will become less noticeable.
COOKTOP CONTROLS
To avoid damage to the cooktop controls, do not use steel wool,
abrasive cleansers or oven cleaner.
Do not soak knobs. When replacing knobs, make sure knobs are in
the OFF position.
On some models, do not remove seals under knobs.
Cleaning Method:

Pull knobs straight away from control panel to remove.
CONTROL PANEL AND OVEN DOOR EXTERIOR
To avoid damage to the control panel, do not use abrasive
cleaners, steel-wool pads, gritty washcloths or abrasive paper
towels.

Glass cleaner and soft cloth or sponge:
Apply glass cleaner to soft cloth or sponge, not directly on
panel.

COIL ELEMENTS (on some models)
Cleaning Method:
Damp cloth: Make sure control knobs are off and elements are
cool.
Do not clean or immerse in water. Soil will burn off when hot.
BURNER BOWLS (on some models)
Before removing or replacing coil elements and burner bowls,
make sure they are cool and the control knobs are in the OFF
position.
Remove the coil element by pushing the edge of the coil element
toward the receptacle. Lift it enough to clear the burner bowl. Pull
the coil element straight away from the receptacle to remove. Lift
out the burner bowl.
Cleaning Method:
Chrome burner bowls
Wash frequently in warm, soapy water. (It is not recommended to
wash chrome bowls in a dishwasher). A mild abrasive cleaner and a
plastic scrubber can be used to remove stubborn stains.
For heavily soiled bowls, place an ammonia soaked paper towel on
the stains and allow to soak for a short time, then gently scrub with
a plastic scrubber.
SURFACE UNDER COOKTOP (on some models)
The coil cooktop will lift up to provide easy access for cleaning
beneath. Lift the cooktop by both front corners until the support
locks into place.
Cleaning Method:
Glass cleaner, mild liquid cleaner or nonabrasive scrubbing
pad.

For racks that have discolored and are harder to slide, a light
coating of vegetable oil applied to the rack guides will help
them slide.
STORAGE DRAWER
Check that storage drawer is cool and empty before cleaning.
Cleaning Method:
Mild detergent
The oven light is a standard 40-watt appliance bulb. Before
replacing, make sure the oven and cooktop are cool and the
control knobs are in the off position.
2. Turn the glass bulb cover in the back of the oven
counterclockwise to remove.
3. Turn bulb counterclockwise to remove from socket.
To Replace: 4. Replace bulb, then bulb cover by turning clockwise.

LIMITED WARRANTY
For one year from the date of purchase, when this major appliance is operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or
furnished with the product, Amana brand of Whirlpool Corporation or Whirlpool Canada LP (hereafter "Amana") will pay for factory
specified parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship. Service must be provided by an Amana designated
service company. This limited warranty is valid only in the United States or Canada and applies only when the major appliance is used in
the country in which it was purchased. Outside the 50 United States and Canada, this limited warranty does not apply. Proof of original
purchase date is required to obtain service under this limited warranty.
ITEMS EXCLUDED FROM WARRANTY
This limited warranty does not cover:

9. Expenses for travel and transportation for product service if your major appliance is located in a remote area where service by an

10. The removal and reinstallation of your major appliance if it is installed in an inaccessible location or is not installed in accordance with

Utiliser des ustensiles de dimension appropri6e - La
cuisini@e est munie d'un ou de plusieurs 616ments
chauffants de diff6rentes grandeurs. Choisir les ustensiles
qui ont un fond plat assez grand pour couvrir 1'616ment
chauffant de la surface de cuisson. L'utilisation d'ustensiles
trop petits exposera une partie de 1'616ment chauffant, ce
qui peut provoquer I'inflammation des v6tements.
L'utilisation d'un r6cipient de dimension correcte am61iore
aussi I'efficacit6 de la cuisson.
Ne jamais laisser les 616ments de la table de cuisson sans
surveillance alors qu'ils chauffent a la puissance maximale.
II pourrait en r6sulter une 6bullition qui cause de la fum6e
et des renversements de corps gras qui peuvent
s'enflammer.
S'assurer que les cuvettes r6fl6chissantes ou les bols de
renversement sont en place - L'absence de ces cuvettes
ou bols au cours de la cuisson peut causer des dommages
aux ills ou aux composants en dessous des 616ments.
Garnissages protecteurs - Ne pas recouvrir les cuvettes
ou le fond du four de papier d'aluminium sauf tel que
sugg6r6 dans le manuel. L'installation incorrecte de papier
d'aluminium ou d'autre mat6riau peut causer un risque de
choc 61ectrique ou d'incendie.
Ustensiles de cuisson vitrifi6s - Seulement certains types
d'ustensiles de verre, vitroc6ramique, c6ramique, fai'ence
ou autres surfaces vitrifi6es conviennent pour le service
sur une table de cuisson, sans bris attribuables aux
changements soudains de temp6rature.
Les poign6es des ustensiles doivent 6tre tourn6es vers
I'int6rieur et non vers le dessus des 616ments adjacents -
Pour r6duire le risque de br01ures, d'inflammation de
produits inflammables et de renversements dus
I'entrechoquement non intentionnel des ustensiles, la
poign6e d'un ustensile doit 6tre positionn6e de sorte
qu'elle est tourn6e vers I'int6rieur et non au-dessus des
616ments de surface adjacents.
Ne pas tremper les 616ments de chauffage amovibles -
Les 616ments de chauffage ne doivent jamais 6tre
immerg6s dans I'eau.
Ne pas faire cuire sur une table de cuisson endommag6e -
Si la table de cuisson est bris6e, les solutions de nettoyage
et les renversements peuvent p6n6trer dans la table de
cuisson bris6e et cr6er un risque d'un choc 61ectrique.

IMPORTANTES INSTRUCTIONS DE SECURITE
Nettoyer la table de cuisson avec prudence - Si une
6ponge ou un chiffon mouill6 est utilis6 pour essuyer les
renversements sur une surface de cuisson chaude, 6viter
les brt]lures caus6es par la vapeur chaude. Certains
nettoyants peuvent produire des 6manations d6sagr6ables
Iorsqu'ils sont utilis6s sur une surface chaude.
Exercer une grande prudence Iors de I'ouverture de la
porte - Laisser I'air chaud ou la vapeur s'6chapper avant
d'enlever ou de replacer un plat.
Ne pas faire chauffer des contenants ferm6s -
L'accumulation de pression peut causer une explosion du
contenant et des blessures.
Ne jamais obstruer les ouvertures des 6vents.
Positionnement des grilles du four - Toujours placer les
grilles du four en position d6sir6e pendant que le four est
froid. Si la grille doit 6tre d6plac6e pendant que le four est
chaud, ne pas laisser les mitaines de four toucher 1'616ment
chaud du four.
NE PAS TOUCHER LES 12LI2MENTS CHAUFFANTS OU
LES SURFACES INTI2RIEURES DU FOUR - Les
616ments chauffants peuvent 6tre chauds m6me s'ils ont
une teinte fonc6e. Les surfaces int6rieures d'un four
deviennent assez chaudes pour causer des brt]lures.
Pendant et apr_s I'utilisation, ne pas toucher ou laisser des
v6tements ou autres mat6riaux inflammables venir en
contact avec les 616ments chauds ou les surfaces
int6rieures chaudes du four avant qu'ils aient eu assez de
temps pour refroidir. D'autres surfaces de I'appareil
peuvent devenir assez chaudes pour causer des brt]lures.
Ces surfaces comprennent les ouvertures de 1'6vent du
four et les surfaces pros de ces ouvertures, les portes du
four, et les hublots des portes du four.
Pour les cuisini_res avec programme d'autonettoyage -
Ne pas nettoyer le joint de la porte - Le joint de la porte
est essentiel pour 1'6tanch6it6. Veiller & ne pas frotter,
endommager ou d6placer le joint.
Ne pas utiliser des produits commerciaux de nettoyage du
four - On ne doit pas utiliser un produit commercial de
nettoyage de four ou un enduit de protection des surfaces
internes du four quel qu'en soit le type, sur les surfaces du
four ou les surfaces voisines.
Nettoyer uniquement les pi_ces indiqu6es dans le manuel.
Avant d'ex6cuter le programme d'autonettoyage du four -
Oter la I_chefrite et son plat et les autres ustensiles.
Pour les appareils avec hotte de ventilation -
Nettoyer les hottes de ventilation fr6quemment - La
graisse ne doit pas s'accumuler sur la hotte ou le filtre.
Lorsque vous flambez des aliments sous la hotte, mettre le
ventilateur en marche.

"plus" ou "moins") pour regler la duree de cuisson.
3. Appuyer sur START (mise en marche) pour commencer le compte &rebours. Si actives,
les signaux sonores de fin de programme se font entendre &la fin du compte & rebours.
4. Appuyer deux fois sur TIMER (minuterie) pour annuler laminuterie. Ne pas appuyer sur
la touche CANCEL/OFF (annulation/arr_t) sinon le four s'eteindra.
5. Si la minuterie est activee mais n'apparaft pas sur I'affichage, appuyer sur TIMER
(minuterie) pour faire apparaftre le compte a rebours pendant 5 secondes.

La cuisson minuted permet d'allumer le four aune certaine heure de la journee, de faire
cuire pendant une duree reglde et/ou d'eteindre le four automatiquement. La mise en
marche differde ne doit pas _tre utilisee pour les aliments tels que pains et g&teaux car ils
risquent de ne pas bien cuire.
Pour regler une cuisson minuted ou une cuisson minuted diffdree, voir la section "Cuisson
minuted".

La surface de la zone de cuisson devient rouge Iorsqu'un eldment
est allum& II se peut qu'elle s'allume et s'eteigne par intermittence
afin de maintenir le niveau de chaleur selectionn&
Utiliser des ustensiles de cuisson qui soient environ de la m_me
taille que la surface de cuisson. L'ustensile de cuisson ne doit pas
depasser de plus de 1/2"(1,3 cm) de la zone de cuisson.
Essuyer la table de cuisson avant et apr_s chaque utilisation
permettra d'eviter les taches et d'assurer une meilleure repartition
de la chaleur.
T_moin d'allumage de la table de cuisson (sur certains
modules)
Le temoin lumineux de table de cuisson allumee se trouve sur le
panneau de la console. Lorsqu'un bouton de commande sur le
panneau de la console est active, letemoin lumineux de la table de
cuisson s'allume.
T_moin lumineux de surface chaude (sur certains modules)
Sur les modeles avec vitroceramique, letemoin lumineux de
surface chaude est situ_ sur le panneau de la console.
Le temoin de surface chaude reste allume tant qu'une surface de
cuisson est trop chaude pour _tre touched, m_me apr_s que la ou
les surface(s) de cuisson sont eteintes.

I_l_ments en spirale et cuvettes des br_leurs (sur certains
modules)
Pour des resultats de cuisson optimaux, les el6ments en spirale
doivent etre d'aplomb. Les cuvettes des brQleurs, Iorsqu'elles sont
propres, rabattent la chaleur vers les ustensiles de cuisson. Elles
permettent egalement de recueillir les renversements.
L'ustensile de cuisson ne doit pas depasser de plus de 1/2"(1,3 cm)
au-dessus de I'el6ment en spirale. Un ustensile de cuisson trop
grand ou qui ne serait pas uniforme peut conduire & une surchauffe
et entrainer un changement de couleur de la cuvette du brQleur.
Zone de cuisson _ double fonction (sur certains modules)
La zone de cuisson & double fonction offre une souplesse
d'utilisation en fonction de la taille de I'ustensile de cuisson. La
dimension simple peut etre utilisee de la meme maniere qu'un
el6ment ordinaire. La dimension double combine I'el6ment simple
et I'el6ment externe; elle est recommandee pour les ustensiles de
cuisson de plus grande dimension.

UTILISATIONDUFOUR
Des odeurs et de la fumee sont normales Iorsque le four est utilise
les premieres fois, ou Iorsqu'il est tres sale.
IMPORTANT • La sante de certains oiseaux est tres sensible aux
emanations de fumee. L'exposition aux emanations peut entrainer
la mort de certains oiseaux. Toujours deplacer les oiseaux dans
une autre piece fermee et bien aer6e.
Afficheur du four
L'afficheur clignote Iorsqu'il est mis sous tension ou apres une
coupure de courant. Appuyer sur CANCEL/OFF (annulation/arret)
pour I'effacer. Lorsque le four n'est pas en marche, I'heure
s'affiche. Les temoins lumineux indiquent les fonctions qui sont
activees.

Les signaux sonores indiquent ce qul suit :

Fahrenheit et Celsius
Le four est pr6r6gle pour un affichage de la temperature en degres
Fahrenheit, mais on peut permuter en degres Celsius.
Modification • Appuyer sur la touche BROIL (cuisson au gril)
pendant 5 secondes. Un signal sonore se fait entendre et "°C" ou
"°F" s'affichera. Repeter pour retourner &I'affichage precedent.
Pour sortir de ce mode, appuyer sur CANCEL!OFF (annulation/
arret).
Commande de la temperature du four
IMPORTANT : Ne pas utiliser de thermometre pour mesurer la
temperature du four car I'ouverture de la porte du four peut
provoquer des mesures incorrectes du brQleur a fonctionnement
par intermittence.
Le four fournit des temperatures precises; toutefois, il peut cuire
plus rapidement ou plus lentement que votre ancien four, c'est
pourquoi le calibrage de la temperature peut etre ajust& II peut etre
change en degres Fahrenheit ou en Celsius.
Ajustement du calibrage de la temperature du four :
1. Appuyer sur BAKE pendant 5 secondes jusqu'& ce que
I'afficheur du four indique le calibrage actuel, par exemple "0°F
CAL" ou "00".
2. Appuyer sur les touches &fleche TEMP/HOUR "More" ou
"Less" (temperature/heure "plus" ou "moins") pour augmenter
ou reduire la temperature par tranches de 10°F (5°C).
L'ajustement peut etre regle entre 30°F (15°C) et -30°F (-15°C).
3. Appuyer sur START (mise en marche).
Mode Options
Appuyer sur TIMER (minuterie) pendant 5 secondes et "Opt"
s'affiche. Utiliser les touches TEMP/TIME (temperature/duree) pour
faire defiler les options suivantes. Appuyer sur CANCEL
(annulation) pour sortir de ce mode.
Signaux sonores de fin de programme
"bl" (n'emet qu'un seul bip) ou "b" (continue & emettre des bips)
s'affiche. Appuyer sur TIMER (minuterie) pour passer d'une
selection & I'autre.
Arr6t au bout de 12 heures
Si "12 Hr" (12 heures) s'affiche, le four s'eteint automatiquement au
bout de 12 heures. Appuyer sur TIMER (minuterie) pour faire passer
I'affichage a "- Hr", afin de desactiver I'arret au bout de 12 heures.
Lumi_re du four avec porte ouverte
"LOn" indique que la lumiere du four s'allume Iorsque la porte est
ouverte. Si "LOFF" est affiche, la lumiere du four ne peut etre
allumee qu'au moyen de I'interrupteur. Appuyer sur TIMER
(minuterie) pour passer d'une selection & I'autre.

Le mode Sabbat permet au four de continuer &fonctionner sur un
reglage de cuisson au four jusqu'& ce qu'on I'eteigne. Une cuisson
au four minutee peut egalement etre programmee pour garder le
four allume seulement pendant une partie du mode Sabbat. La
caracteristique de verrouillage des commandes du four (si
presente) est desactivee pendant le mode Sabbat. Une fois le
mode Sabbat regle, aucun signal sonore ne retentit, I'affichage
n'indique pas la temperature, le mode de minuterie de cuisine est
annule (si active) et seules les touches suivantes fonctionnent :
touches "+" ou "-" (si presentes)
touches "More" (plus) ou "Less" (moins) (si presentes)
Cancel (annulation)
Lorsque la porte du four est ouverte ou fermee, la lampe du four ne
s'allume ou ne s'eteint pas et les elements de chauffage ne
s'allument ou ne s'eteignent pas immediatement.
Lorsque le courant est retabli apres une panne de courant, le four
retourne au mode Sabbat et conserve les modalites du mode
