CONNECTING TO THE WATER SUPPLY
Inside the drum you will
find water inlet pipes.
a Connect the angled
end of the pipe to
the threaded electro-
valve inlet located at
the rear of the
machine.
b Connect the other
end of the pipe to the
water inlet and tigh-
ten the nuts.
We recommend that
your wastewater plum-
bing installation include
a fixed standpipe with
and overall height bet-
ween 50 and 70 cm
above floor level.
Avoid folds and bends
in the drain pipe and
make sure that it is not
too tight.

IMPORTANT
It is important that the elbow of the drainpipe is well fitted into the stand pipe to avoid any
risk of it falling out and causing flooding.
If your washing machine is equipped with a hot water inlet, connect one end of the red thre-
aded pipe to the hot water tap and the other to the electrovalve with the red filter.

CONNECTING TO THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY
Consult the specifications
plate located on the port-hole
before connecting to the elec-
tricity supply. Make sure that
the voltage supplied to the
plug corresponds with that
indicated on the plate.
IMPORTANT
It is very important that the washing machine be connected to a good-quality earth installa-
tion.
The electrical installation, plug, socket, fuses or automatic switch and meter must be desig-
ned to withstand the maximum power setting indicated on the specifications plate.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by one with the same reference number,
only available from an authorised service centre.

PRELIMINARY CLEANING
Once you have insta-
lled your washing
machine, we recom-
mend that you run pro-
gramme 2 at 60ºC on
an empty cycle (with
neither clothes nor
detergent).
This serves to check
the installation, connec-
tions and drainage sys-
tem, as well as tho-
roughly cleaning the
interior before washing
any laundry.
Select programme 2 and set
temperature to 60ºC
Press the Start/Stop key. The
pilot light should come on

Before inserting laundry
into the drum, make
sure all pockets are
empty. Small objects
may obstruct the moto-
rised water drainage
pump.
Sort your was-
hing according to
fabric or compo-
sition. We recom-
mend that you wash
sensitive garments on
delicate programmes.
Woollen garments
should be washed on
the special woollens
programme.
Sort your washing
according to dirti-
ness.
a Slightly soiled gar-
ments should prefe-
rably be washed on
a short cool pro-
gramme.
b Normally soiled
garments do not
require a prewash
cycle.
c Heavily soiled gar-
ments should be
washed on a long
programme with
prewash.
Sort your was-
hing according to
colours. Wash whites
and colours separately.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND PRACTICAL ADVICE
IMPORTANT
It is best to load your machine to its full capacity. This
way, you will save water and energy.
Whenever possible, we recommend that you wash items
of different sizes in the same wash programme, as
this helps the wash action and aids the distribution of
clothes in the drum during the spin cycle. It also helps
reduce the noise level.
IMPORTANT
Before washing, make
sure that your woollen
garments are machine

Compartment for Prewash detergent
2
DETERGENTS AND ADDITIVES
Add detergent or addi-
tives to the dispenser
before the start of the
wash programme.
Depending on the
model, the dispenser
will have either three or
four compartments.
Compartment for Main Wash detergent
Compartment for liquid additives (fabric softeners, etc)
Compartment for liquid whiteners
(bleach, etc.)
IMPORTANT
The level of liquid should never exceed the MAX level
marked on the compartment wall.
You can also use liquid
detergent in your was-
hing machine. To do
this, you need the
optional dispenser
which can be obtained
through the Technical
Assistance Network.
The optional dispenser
should be placed in the
Main Wash compartment.
Remember that the
amount of detergent to
be used will always
depend on:
The size of the load.
The soil level of the
garments to be
washed.
The hardness of the
water (details regar-
ding the hardness
of the water can be
obtained from your
local authorities).
Remember that concentrated detergents are now
available that are more environmentally-friendly.
Using more detergent than necessary will not
improve the results of your wash. In addition to
being wasteful, it also harms the environment.
We therefore recommend that you follow the ins-
tructions given by the detergent manufacturer.

SELECTING THE WASH PROGRAMME
Your washing machine
incorporates three
types of programme:
a
Normal wash
programmes;
for hard-wearing
fabrics.
b Delicate wash
programmes;
for delicate fabrics.
c Woollen
cycles; for was-
hing woollen gar-
ments.
To select a Wash
Programme, turn the
Programme Selector
Control Knob clockwi-
se until the program
number coincides with
the marker on the con-
trol panes. Never try to
force the knob in the
opposite direction.
Always try to select the most appropriate program-
me for your load and avoid running unnecessary
prewash cycles. This will save you money and
help protect the environment.

SELECTING ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
Depending on the model, your washing machine will have all or
some of the following functions:

English
The Start/Stop but-
ton works in the same
way as the additional
function keys, i.e. it is
activated (machine ON)
when it protrudes from
the control panel, ena-
bling you to see the sym-
bol printed on it.
The ON/OFF pilot
light, which indicates
that the washing machi-
ne is switched on with
the door locked, will
come on a few seconds
after you press the Start
button. These few
seconds enable the
machine to activate the
Door Safety System.
When the washing
machine is switched on,
the wash programme
can be interrupted by
pressing the Start/Stop
button once again.
When this happens, the
pilot light will go off and,

WARNINGS
To reduce the
noise level produ-
ced during the spin
cycle, level the
machine using the
adjustable feet.
Try to wash items of
different sizes in the
same wash pro-
gramme, as this
aids the distribution
of clothes in the
drum during the
spin cycle.
All models incorpo-
rate a safety spin
mechanism that
prevents the spin
cycle from being
carried out if the
load is not properly
distributed in the
drum, thus protec-
ting the machine
from excessive
vibration. If, at the
end of a program-
me, your clothes
have not been pro-
perly wrung, run
another spin cycle,
this time making
sure that the load is
uniformly distributed
in the drum.
In order to make it more environmentally-friendly,
your washing machine is equipped with a system
capable of adapting to different operating condi-
tions (load and type of fabric), thereby guarante-
eing optimum water and energy consumption. This
means that during the wash cycle, the water level
seen through the hatch may appear low. Do not
worry. This will in no way affect the efficiency of the
wash and rinse operations.
ENVIRONMENTAL NOTE
After each wash, leave
the loading door open
for a while to allow air to
circulate inside the
drum.
From time to time and
depending on the hard-
ness of the water in your
area, it is a good idea to
run a complete wash
cycle using a decalcif-
ying product. This will
help prolong the life of
your machine.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before carrying out any
cleaning or maintenan-
ce operations, we
recommend that you
unplug your washing
machine from the
mains supply.
IMPORTANT

the hooks.
b Use a plate or other contai-
ner under the filter to collect
the water that will be relea-
sed when it is loosened.
c Turn the filter a quarter- or
halfway sideways towards
the left. Water will start to
come out.
d When you are finished taking
the water out of the washing
machine, turn the filter around
several times until you can
take it out fully.
e Remove any objects or fluff
that may be in the filter.
f Replace the filter and the
base in their places.
2
CLEANING THE ACCESSIBLE FILTER
Replace the dispenser in
the washing machine.
In order to avoid
burns, this opera-
tion should not be
carried out when
the wash water
temperature is
over 30ºC.
IMPORTANT
WASHING MACHINE
Use warm soapy water
or a gentle cleaning
product to clean the
outside of the washing
machine. Do not use
abrasive products or
solvents.
After cleaning, dry tho-
roughly with a soft
cloth.
