START-UP. INSTALLATION
The installer must read this manual
closely before start-up.
The operator should be an adult
and fully competent person.
Should any anomaly occur, please
contact your distributor.
1. Check that the voltage is the
same as that indicated on
nameplate, located on the base
of the machine.
2. Wash the water reservoir 12 and
fill it with fresh water.
We recommend using water
with a low mineral content. The
quality of the water will affect the
taste and quality of the coffee
as well as help avoid future
malfunctions. Check out our
especial anti-lime scale filters
(optional).
3. Plug the machine into the
electrical socket.
4. Connect the coffee machine to
the power source by placing the
On/Off switch (1) in position "I".
IMPORTANT
- Make sure to use the style of
capsule for which the machine
has been designed.
- Capsules should not be
damaged before use. Deformed
or broken capsules can get stuck
in the machine and damage it.
- If this is the first use or the first
time the machine is to be used
in a long time, if the coffee is not
dispensed—due to a period of
disuse—or if the water reservoir is
empty, we recommend allowing
water to pass through the coffee
dispenser 14 . To do so, with the
water reservoir full, insert the
capsule supplied for cleaning the
machine 13 into the drawer for
that purpose 11 . Close the drawer
(make sure that it completely
closed and is tightly shut) and
press the espresso button until
hot water comes out of the coffee
dispenser 14 for approximately 10
seconds. Do not forget to retrieve
the cleaning capsule 13 before
emptying the used-capsule
holder 9.
- Once steam is produced, wait
to make coffee, approximately 5
minutes, or repeat the previous
step to cool down the system.
Otherwise the temperature of the
coffee will be excessively high.
ATTENTION
Make sure that the reservoir 12
has enough water. If the machine
operates without water, it could
damage the heating element and
pump.
