IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Only connect the appliance to an earthed wall socket.

Please read through these operating instructions carefully prior to operating the rice

cooker for the ﬁrst time and store it in a safe place. Pay particular attention, in your

own interest, to the safety information in order to avoid accidents and malfunctions.

Improper use, application or insufﬁcient cleaning and care can impair safety and

result in danger for the user. MOA cannot accept any responsibility for injuries or

damage attributed to improper use.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Include this instruction manual with the appliance if it is passed on to other

people.

2. If the appliance is used or handled in an inappropriate manner, we cannot be

held responsible for any ensuing damage. This appliance is intended for domes-

tic use only. Do not operate this appliance outside.

3. Start by verifying that the type of current and supply voltage is as speciﬁed on

the rating plate.

4. Do not touch either the rice cooker or the power plug with wet or damp hands.

5. Do not use a power outlet that is already used to power other devices.

6. The rice cooker may only be operated when monitored and used for the

intended purpose.

7. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and

persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experi-

ence and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concern-

ing use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children.

8. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with

the device.

9. Never operate this device with an external timer or a separate

remote control system.

10. Only operate the rice cooker on a sufﬁciently water and heat

resistant, level and stable surface and not in the vicinity of hot stoves, gas ﬂames

or other sources of heat as well as under wall-cupboards. Make sure that there is

enough space next to and above the rice cooker.

11. Caution: The device is hot when in use and steam escapes!

12. Do not place any objects under or on the unit during operation.

13. Never carry or move the rice cooker as long as it is in operation or

while it still is hot.

14. Pull the power plug after each use and:

– in case of faults during operation,

– each time you clean the device.

Always pull on the plug from the outlet before removing the cable from the unit.

15. Do not allow the power cord to dangle and place the device in a way that

no one can fall over the cord.

16. Check the power cord for damage prior to each use. Prevent it from

becoming pinched or kinked, coming into contact with warm or hot surfaces, or

from chaﬁng against sharp edges. The cable must be replaced in any case if it is

damaged.

17. Never immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug in water or other liquids.

Do not clean the appliance in the dishwasher.

18. Never use the appliance if you discover damage, if water has penetrated the

housing or if the appliance has been dropped.

19. Never attempt to open or repair the appliance yourself. In the event of a

malfunction, have the appliance repaired by qualiﬁed experts only! Contact your

authorised dealer whenever the appliance is in need of repairs.

20. Only use the original accessories.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

- Start by carefully reading the instructions for use and the safety instructions.

- Then remove all packaging material and dispose of it properly.

- Please only wipe off the housing with a soft cloth (slightly damp, if necessary).

The non-stick coated pot, the steamer insert, the measuring cup and the spoon

can be cleaned with a mild detergent and warm water. Caution: Do not use

aggressive or abrasive cleaners during cleaning. Do not clean these parts in the

dishwasher.

- Then dry off completely.

OPERATION

- Place the rice cooker on a sufﬁciently water and heat resistant, level and stable

surface.

- Caution: Please ensure that the power cord does not touch any hot surfaces of

the housing.

- Ensure that the condensation container on the back of the device is always in-

stalled and the steam valve is always placed properly in the according opening

on the lid.

- Ensure that there are no foreign bodies (like rice grains) in the heating bowl or

on the outer side of the non-stick pot.

- Always keep the outside of the pot clean and dry. Handle the pot

carefully. If the bottom is bent or has dents, the heat transfer does not work

correctly.

- Place the pot into the heating bowl. Assure the correct placement by turning it

slightly to the right or left side. This must be very smooth.

- Never place liquids or food directly into the appliance. Fill the pot only to

the top mark to prevent overﬂow. Do not use any foaming food stuffs like milk,

cream, eggs. Do not use vinegar for cooking.

- Ensure that the lid is completely locked before switching on the appliance.

- Only use wooden or heat resistant plastic kitchen utensils. Pay attention that the

food stuffs do not overﬂow. In that case wipe off immediately with slightly damp

cloth.

Attention: Never carry, move or tilt the rice cooker while in operation or still

hot. Hot steam may evaporate from the valve.

Attention: Hot steam escapes while opening the lid and hot condensate

water can leak out of the condensate container. Dry it off immediately.

COOKING RICE

1. Measure the rice with the measuring cup, wash the rice as needed and add

it to the pot with non-stick coating. Add the liquid up to the mark on the inside of

the pot.

1 Measuring cup of rice - ﬁll with liquid up to 1 CUP mark.

2 Measuring cup of rice - ﬁll with liquid up to 2 CUP mark.

Attention: The 10 CUP mark in the pot must not be exceeded.

2. Check to ensure that the non-stick pot is seated correctly in the heating bowl

and close the lid.

3. Connect the cable to the appliance and insert mains plug in a suitable socket.

4. If all of the control lamps are blinking, select the desired program.

Then the relevant control lamp blinks and the time appears in the

display. After a few seconds, the control lamp and the time illuminate

continuously and the appliance begins cooking.

Note: If you have not made a selection within 15 seconds, the appliance

switches off. Press the START / WARM button to switch on the appliance.

5. The cooking time presetting of 45 minutes is shown in the display. However,

this can vary depending on the amount of rice and liquid. Empty the condensate

container on the back side of the appliance as needed.

6. A signal tone is sounded when the rice is ﬁnished cooking. Then the cooker

switches automatically to a lower temperature to keep the rice warm. The time

that this mode has been active is displayed, up to a maximum of 12 h.

After 12hours, the appliance switches off automatically.

TIPS:

- The indicated ratio between the food and liquid is a guidelines value which can

be adjusted as needed. Vary this ratio according to your taste. Further

information is also provided on the food package.

- For creamier rice, we recommend keeping the rice warm for 10 - 15 minutes

after the cooking process is ﬁnished.

QUICK RICE COOKING

1. Measure the rice with the measuring cup, wash the rice as needed and add

it to the pot with non-stick coating. Add the liquid up to the mark on the inside of

the pot.

1 Measuring cup of rice - ﬁll with liquid up to 1 CUP mark.

2 Measuring cup of rice - ﬁll with liquid up to 2 CUP mark.

Attention: The 10 CUP mark in the pot must not be exceeded.

2. Check to ensure that the non-stick pot is seated correctly in the heating bowl

and close the lid.

3. Connect the cable to the appliance and insert mains plug in a suitable socket.

4. If all of the control lamps are blinking, press the RISOTTO button. Then the

relevant control lamp blinks and the time appears in the display. After a few

seconds, the control lamp and the time illuminate continuously and the appliance

begins cooking.

Note: If you have not made a selection within 15 seconds, the appliance switch-

es off. Press the Start / Warm button to switch on the appliance.

5. The cooking time presetting of 35 minutes is shown in the display. However,

this can vary depending on the amount of rice and liquid. Empty the condensate

container on the back side of the appliance as needed.

6. A signal tone is sounded when the risotto is ﬁnished cooking. Then the cooker

switches automatically to a lower temperature to keep the rice warm. The time

that this mode has been active is displayed, up to a maximum of 12 h.

After 12 hours, the appliance switches off automatically.

COOKING GRAIN

1. Measure the grain with the measuring cup, wash the grain as needed and add

it to the pot with non-stick coating. Add the appropriate amount of liquid:

Barley, wheat, sorghum: 1 measuring cup of grain - 3 measuring cups of liquid

Millet: 1 measuring cup of grain - 2 measuring cups of liquid

Quinoa: 1 measuring cup of grain - 1 measuring cup of liquid

Attention: The 10 CUP mark in the pot must not be exceeded.

2. Check to ensure that the non-stick pot is seated correctly in the heating

bowl and close the lid.

3. Connect the cable to the appliance and insert mains plug in a suitable socket.

4. If all of the control lamps are blinking, press the VOLLKORN REIS / WHOLE

GRAIN button. Then the relevant control lamp blinks and the time appears in the

display. After a few seconds, the control lamp and the time illuminate

continuously and the appliance begins coo- king.

Note: If you have not made a selection within 15 seconds, the appliance

switches off. Press the START / WARM button to switch on the appliance.

5. The cooking time presetting of 60 minutes is shown in the display. However,

this can vary depending on the amount of rice and liquid. Empty the condensate

container on the back side of the appliance as needed.

6. A signal tone is sounded when the grain is ﬁnished cooking. Then the cooker

switches automatically to a lower temperature to keep the grain warm. The time

that this mode has been active is displayed, up to a maximum of 12 h. After 12

hours, the appliance switches off automatically.

TIPS:

- The indicated ratios between the food and liquid are guidelines values which

can be adjusted as needed. Vary these ratios according to your taste. Further

information is also provided on the food package.

- Very small grain types, such as teff or amaranth, should not be cooked in the

rice cooker.

COOKING HOT CEREALS

1. Measure the grain with the measuring cup, wash the grain as needed and add

it to the pot with non-stick coating. Add the liquid in a 1:3 ratio.

1 measuring cup of grain - 3 measuring cups of liquid

Attention: The 10 CUP mark in the pot must not be exceeded.

2. Check to ensure that the non-stick pot is seated correctly in the heating

bowl and close the lid.

3. Connect the cable to the appliance and insert mains plug in a suitable socket.

4. If all of the control lamps are blinking, press the HOT CEREALS button. Then

the relevant control lamp blinks and 5 appears in the display as the shortest

cooking time. Press and hold the HOT CEREALS button to adjust the cooking

time. The time can be adjusted in increments of one minute for up to 90 minutes

and then in increments of one hour for up to a maximum cooking time of 5 hours.

Observe the control lamps for minutes and hours.

5. After a few seconds, the control lamp and the time illuminate continuously and

the appliance begins cooking.

Note: If you have not made a selection within 15 seconds, the appliance

switches off. Press the START / WARM button to switch on the appliance.

6. ON appears in the display during the heating process. The countdown begins

once the liquid boils.

7. After the adjusted time expires, the rice cooker switches automatically to a

lower temperature to keep the food warm. The time that this mode has been

active is displayed, up to a maximum of 12 h. After 12 hours, the appliance

switches off automatically.

TIP:

STEAM COOKING

1. Add the liquid to the pot with non-stick coating (min. 1 cup mark; max. 3 cup

mark) and place the pot in the heating bowl. Check to ensure that the non-stick

pot is seated correctly in the heating bowl.

2. Hang the steam insert with the food in the non-stick pot and close the lid.

3. Connect the cable to the appliance and insert mains plug in a suitable socket.

4. Press the STEAM COOKING button while the control lamps are blinking. Press

and hold the button to adjust the coo- king time (max. 30 minutes).

5. ON appears in the display while the appliance is heating up. The remaining

time appears in the display once the steaming process begins.

6. An acoustic signal sounds if the water has evaporated completely and the time

in the display blinks. In order to resume the cooking process, add water within 3

minutes. Otherwise the appliance switches off.

TIPS:

- Do not overﬁll the steam insert so that the lid can close completely.

- Only foods with a similar cooking time should be steamed together.

- You can compensate for different cooking times by cutting harder foods into

smaller pieces and softer foods into larger pieces.

- The more food you add to the steam insert, the longer the cooking time. · Small

pieces cook faster than larger pieces.

- You can cook rice and steam other food at the same time. Cook the rice as

described under COOKING RICE. Place the steam insert in the non-stick pot

when the remaining cooking time of the rice equals the cooking time for the food

to be steamed.

- Select the appropriate program depending on the type of rice.

SIMMER

1. Add the liquid and food to the non-stick pot.

2. Check to ensure that the non-stick pot is seated correctly in the heating bowl

and close the lid.

3. Connect the cable to the appliance and insert mains plug in a suitable socket.

4. Press the SIMMER button while the control lamps are blinking. 5 appears in

the display. To adjust the cooking time, press and hold the SIMMER button. The

time can be adjusted in increments of one minute for up to 90 minutes and then

in increments of one hour for up to a maximum cooking time of 5 hours. Observe

the control lamps for minutes and hours.

5. After a few seconds, the control lamp and the time illuminate continuously and

the appliance begins cooking.

Note: If you have not made a selection within 15 seconds, the appliance

switches off. Press the START / WARM button to switch on the appliance.

6. ON appears in the display during the heating process. The countdown begins

once the liquid boils.

switches automatically to a lower temperature to keep the food warm. The time

START TIME SELECTION

1. Add the food and liquid to the non-stick pot.

2. Check to ensure that the non-stick pot is seated correctly in the heating bowl

and close the lid.

3. Connect the cable to the appliance and insert mains plug in a suitable socket.

4. Press the button for the desired program.

5. Press the button for the start time selection, then press it again to select the start

time (1 - 15 hours). The rice cooker starts the countdown after 5 seconds.

6. The selected time appears in the display. The cooking process starts automati-

cally after this time has expired.

7. After the adjusted time expires, the rice cooker switches automatically to a

lower temperature to keep the food warm. The time that this mode has been

active is displayed, up to a maximum of 12 h. After 12 hours, the appliance

switches off automatically.

TIPS:

- Press the START / WARM button to correct the adjusted time. The appliance is

switched off. Select the appropriate program, then adjust the start time.

AFTER USE

- First, pull the plug out of the outlet and then pull the cable out of the device.

- After each use, remove the condensation container attached to the rear, empty

and clean it, and set it back.

CLEANING AND CARE

- Always pull out the power cord before cleaning and allow the appliance to

cool down.

- Do not use any sharp or pointed objects, benzene, solvents, scrubbing brushes

or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning.

- Only clean the housing with a dry or lightly dampened cloth.

- Only clean the inner side of the rice cooker with a dry or lightly dampened

cloth.

- Do not clean the rice cooker in the dish washer. Do not immerse into water or

any other liquids.

- The non-stick coated pot, the steamer insert, the measuring cup and the spoon

can be cleaned with a mild detergent and warm water. Please do not clean the

parts in the dishwasher.

- For easy cleaning the steam valve can be removed from the lid and disassem-

bled.

- Then dry off completely.

not be disposed of in normal household garbage at the end of its useful life. For

this reason, please take it to a free communal collection point (e.g. recycling

depot) for the recycling of electric and electronic devices.

BELANGRKE INSTRUCTIES

Sluit het apparaat alleen aan op een geaard stopcontact.

Lees vóór ingebruikname van de rijstkoker deze gebruiksaanwijzing a.u.b. zorg-

vuldig door en bewaar deze vervolgens goed. Houd in uw eigen belang met

name de veiligheidsinstructies in acht om ongevallen en storingen te voorkomen.

Door een verkeerd gebruik of door onvoldoende reiniging en onderhoud kan de

veiligheid nadelig beïnvloed worden en kunnen er gevaren voor de gebruiker

ontstaan. Voor schade die als gevolg van ondeskundig gebruik ontstaat, kan

MOA zich niet aansprakelijk stellen.

VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES

1. Als dit apparaat aan andere personen doorgegeven wordt, dient u ervoor te

zorgen dat samen met het apparaat ook de gebruiksaanwijzing overhandigd wordt.

2. Bij ondeskundig gebruik of een verkeerde omgang kan geen aansprakelijkheid

voor eventueel optredende schade aanvaard worden. Dit apparaat is uitsluitend

bestemd voor huishoudelijk gebruik. Gebruik het apparaat niet buiten.

3. Controleer eerst of het soort stroom en de netspanning overeenkomen met de

informatie op het rating label.

4. Raak de rijstkoker en de netstekker nooit met natte of vochtige handen aan.

5. Gebruik geen stopcontact waarop reeds andere apparaten aangesloten zijn.

6. Houd de rijstkoker tijdens het gebruik altijd onder toezicht en gebruik deze uitslui-

tend voor het beoogde doel.

7. Dit apparaat kan door kinderen worden gebruikt die 8 jaar of ouder zijn of door

personen die over gebrekkige fysieke, sensorische of geestelijke vaardigheden

of gebrek aan ervaring en/of kennis beschikken, mits zij onder toezicht staan of

instructies hebben gekregen aangaande het veilige gebruik van dit apparaat en de

hieruit resulterende gevaren begrepen hebben. Het apparaat mag niet door kinderen

gereinigd of onderhouden worden.

8. Kinderen dienen onder toezicht te staan, zodat ze niet met het apparaat kunnen

spelen.

9. Dit apparaat mag in geen geval m.b.v. een externe tijdschakelklok of een apart

afstandsbedieningssysteem in werking gesteld worden.

10. Gebruik de rijstkoker uitsluitend op voldoende water- en hittebestendige, vlakke

en stabiele oppervlakken en niet in de buurt van hete kookplaten,

gasvlammen of andere warmtebronnen en niet onder hangkasten. Let op

voldoende vrije ruimte naast en boven de rijstkoker.

11 . Attentie: Tijdens het gebruik van de rijstkoker ontstaan hoge

temperaturen en kan hete stoom ontsnappen.

12. Leg tijdens het gebruik geen voorwerpen onder of op het apparaat.

13. Draag of verschuif het apparaat niet als het is ingeschakeld of

zolang het nog heet is.

14. Na elk gebruik de stekker uit het stopcontact trekken, en tevens:

– bij storingen tijdens het bedrijf,

– bij iedere reiniging

Trek altijd eerst de voedingsstekker uit het stopcontact voordat u de kabel van het

apparaat loskoppelt.

15. Laat de aansluitkabel niet omlaag hangen en plaats het apparaat zodanig

dat niemand over de kabel kan vallen.

16. Controleer de stroomkabel vóór elk gebruik op beschadigingen. Let op dat

hij niet klem komt te zitten, geen knik vertoont, contact met warme of hete

oppervlakken heeft of langs scherpe randen schuurt. Als de kabel beschadigd

wordt, moet deze in elk geval vervangen worden.

17. Dompel het apparaat, de kabel of de stekker nooit in water of

andere vloeistoffen. Het apparaat niet in de vaatwasser reinigen.

18. Gebruik het apparaat nooit, als u beschadigingen vaststelt, water

in de behuizing binnengedrongen is of als het gevallen is.

19. Probeer het apparaat nooit zelf te openen of te repareren. Laat het apparaat

in geval van een storing uitsluitend door gekwaliﬁceerde vaklieden repareren!

20. Gebruik alleen de originele accessoires.

VOOR HET EERSTE GEBRUIK

- Lees eerst deze gebruiksaanwijzing en de veiligheidsinstructies zorgvulig door.

- Verwijder eerst alle verpakkingsmaterialen en zorg ervoor dat deze vakkundig als

afval verwijderd worden.

- De behuizing a.u.b. uitsluitend met een zachte doek (evtl. licht vochtig gemaakt)

afvegen. De binnenpan met antiaanbaklaag, het stoommandje, de maatbeker en de

lepel kunt u met een mild afwasmiddel en warm water reinigen. Attentie: bij het

reinigen geen vloeistoffen of schurende reinigingsmiddelen gebruiken. Deze parten

niet in de vaatwasser reinigen.

- Droog de onderdelen vervolgens goed.

INGEBRUIKNAME

- Zet het rijstkoker op een voldoende stevige, vlakke alsmede water- en

hittebestendige ondergrond.

- Attentie: Let er a.u.b. op dat de stroomkabel geen contact maakt met hete

vlakken bij de behuizing.

- Controleer of de condensopvangbak op de juiste wijze aan de achterkant van

het apparaat is bevestigd.

- Controleer of zich geen vreemde voorwerpen (bv. rijstkorrels) in de buitenpan

of de buitenkant van de pan bevinden.

- Houd de buitenkant van de binnenpan altijd schoon en droog. Ga voorzichtig

met de binnenpan om. Mocht de bodem zijn verbogen of deuken hebben, dan

werkt de warmteoverdracht niet goed.

- Plaats de binnenpan in de buitenpan. Controleer de juiste positionering door

de binnenpan iets naar links en rechts te draaien. Dit moet soepel gaan.

- Giet vloeistoffen of voedingsmiddelen nooit direct in de buitenpan. Vul de

binnenpan slechts tot aan de bovenste markering om overlopen te voorkomen.

Gebruik geen schuimende levensmiddelen, zoals melk, slagroom of eieren.

Gebruik geen azijn voor het koken.

- Controleer vóór het inschakelen of het deksel goed is vergrendeld.

- Gebruik alleen hittebestendig kookgerei van hout of kunststof. Let bij het omro-

eren erop dat er geen levensmiddelen overlopen. Mocht dit toch gebeuren, veeg

deze dan meteen af met een licht vochtige doek.

LET OP: Draag, verschuif of kantel de rijstkoker niet als deze is ingeschakeld

of nog heet is. Hete stoom kan uit het ventiel ontsnappen.

LET OP: Bij het openen ontsnapt hete stoom en heet condenswater kan uit de

condensopvangbak stromen. Droog uitgestroomd water me- teen af.

RST KOKEN / WHITE RICE

1. Meet de rijst af met de maatbeker, was deze indien nodig en doe de rijst in

de binnenpan met antiaanbaklaag. Voeg vloeistof toe tot aan de betreffende

markering aan de binnenkant van de binnenpan.

Let op: De 10 CUP-markering in de binnenpan mag niet worden overschre-

den.

2. Controleer of de binnenpan met antiaanbaklaag goed in de buitenpan is

geplaatst en sluit het deksel.

3. Sluit de kabel aan op het apparaat en stop de voedingsstekker in een geschikt

stopcontact.

4. Zolang alle controlelampjes knipperen, kunt u het gewenste programma

selecteren. Dan knippert het betreffende controlelampje en de tijdsaanduiding in

het display. Na enkele seconden branden de controlelampjes en de

tijdsaanduiding in het display permanent en start het apparaat.

Aanwzing: Als u binnen 15 seconden geen keuze maakt, wordt het appa-

raat uitgeschakeld. Druk op de knop START / WARM om het apparaat weer in

te schakelen.

5. In het display wordt de vooringestelde gaartijd van 45 minuten weergegeven.

Deze kan echter afhankelijk van de hoeveelheid rijst en vloeistof variëren. Maak,

indien nodig, de condensopvangbak aan de achterkant van het apparaat leeg.

6. Zodra de rijst gaar is, klinkt er een signaaltoon en schakelt het apparaat au-

tomatisch over naar de warmhoudstand. In het display wordt de reeds verstreken

warmhoudtijd, tot maximaal 12 uur, weergegeven.

Na aﬂoop van de 12 uur wordt het apparaat automatisch uitgeschakeld.

TIPS:

- Bij de aangegeven verhouding tussen levensmiddelen en vloeistof gaat het om

een richtwaarde die indien nodig kan worden aangepast. Varieer hierin,

afhankelijk van uw persoonlijke smaak. Meer informatie kunt u ook vinden

op de verpakking van de levensmiddelen.

- Voor romige rijst adviseren wij om de rijst 10 – 15 minuten na het koken warm

te houden.
