Vormontage obere Gabelbrücke
-Schrauben von der Original-Gabelbrücke entfernen.
- Lenkeraufnahmen von der Original-Gabelbrücke entfernen.
- Lenkeraufnahmen in die gewünschte Position oder auf
der oberen Gabelbrücke (Lieferumfang) bringen.
HINWEIS
Lenkeraufnahmen links und rechts in gleicher Position montieren.
- Schrauben montieren und mit 40 Nm (Loctite 243™) festziehen.
Montage
- Untere Gabelbrücke (Lieferumfang) mit Gabelschaftrohr einsetzen.
- Oberes Steuerkopfl ager und Dichtringträger (1 montieren.
- Schutzring (2 montieren.
Vorarbeit
- Kotfl ügel vorne ausbauen (s. Reparaturanleitung).
- Motorrad mit Montageständer (gesteckt) aufheben (s. Reparatur-
anleitung).
- Fahrzeugheck nach unten spannen.
- Gabelbeine ausbauen (s. Reparaturanleitung).
- Untere Gabelbrücke ausbauen (s. Reparaturanleitung).
Alle Arbeiten, die mit diesem Symbol gekennzeichnet sind, erfordern Fachkenntnisse und technisches Verständnis.
Lassen Sie diese Arbeiten, im Interesse Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit, in einer autorisierten KTM- Fachwerkstatt durchführen!
Dort wird Ihr Motorrad von speziell geschulten Fachkräften mit dem erforderlichen Spezialwerkzeug optimal betreut.

- Obere Gabelbrücke positionieren.
- Schraube (3 mit Scheibe montieren, aber noch nicht festziehen.
- Schraube Lenkungsdämpfer (4 montieren und mit 8 Nm (Loctite
243™) festziehen.
- Kraftstofftankabdeckung positionieren.
- Steckerverbindung (5 zusammenstecken.
- Kabel spannungsfrei verlegen.
- Kraftstofftankabdeckung montieren.
- Bremsleitung mit neuer Dichtung positionieren.
- Schraube (6 mit neuer Dichtung montieren und mit 25 Nm festziehen.
HINWEIS
Auffanggefäß unterstellen, da Bremsfl üssigkeit ausläuft.
Bringen Sie Bremsfl üssigkeit nicht mit lackierten Teilen in Berührung,
Bremsfl üssigkeit greift Lack an!
Verschüttete Bremsfl üssigkeit sofort mit Wasser abwaschen.

- Bremsleitung mit neuer Dichtung positionieren.
- Schraube (7 mit neuer Dichtung montieren und mit 25 Nm festziehen.
HINWEIS
Auffanggefäß unterstellen, da Bremsfl üssigkeit ausläuft.
Bringen Sie Bremsfl üssigkeit nicht mit lackierten Teilen in Berührung,
Bremsfl üssigkeit greift Lack an!
Verschüttete Bremsfl üssigkeit sofort mit Wasser abwaschen.
- Kabel des Raddrehzahlgebers spannungsfrei verlegen und mit
Kabelbinder sichern.
- Blinkerträger positionieren.
Bohrungen sind am dahinter liegenden Gewinde ausgerichtet.
- Schraube (8 montieren und mit 3 Nm festziehen.
- Gabelbeine in den Gabelbrücken positionieren.
Linkes Gabelbein mit weißem Einstellelement, rechtes Gabelbein mit
rotem Einstellelement.
- Gabelbeine anhand der Gabelringe in der vorgegebenen Position
ausrichten.
VORGABE
HINWEIS
Die Standardeinstellung ist optimal für das Handling des Fahrzeuges
ausgelegt. Beim Durchstecken der Gabel verändert sich die Fahrwerks-
grundeinstellung, dass Fahrzeug wird stabiler, verliert dabei aber an
Handlichkeit.
- Schrauben (Lieferumfang) der unteren Gabelbrücke mit 15 Nm
festziehen.

sen reinigen und fetten (Langzeitfett).
HINWEIS
Die breite Distanzbuchse in Laufrichtung links einsetzen.
Der Pfeil gibt die Laufrichtung des Vorderrades an.

Warnung
Unfallgefahr Öl oder Fett auf den Bremsscheiben verringert
die Bremswirkung.
- Halten Sie die Bremsscheiben stets öl- und fettfrei.
- Reinigen Sie die Bremsscheiben bei Bedarf mit Bremsenrei-
niger.
- Schraube )8 und Steckachse reinigen.
- Vorderrad in die Gabel heben, positionieren und Steckachse ein-
setzen.
- Schraube )8 montieren und mit 45 Nm festziehen (Gewinde gefet-
tet).
- Raddrehzahlgeber )9 positionieren. Schraube montieren und mit
4 Nm festziehen.
- Bremszangen positionieren und dabei auf korrekten Sitz der
Bremsbeläge achten.
- Schrauben ): an beiden Bremszangen montieren, aber noch nicht
festziehen.
- Bremsfl üssigkeit der Vorderradbremse nachfüllen (s. Reparaturan-
leitung).
- Bremsanlage entlüften (s. Reparaturanleitung).
- Handbremshebel mehrmals betätigen, bis die Bremsbeläge an der
Bremsscheibe anliegen und ein Druckpunkt vorhanden ist. Hand-
bremshebel betätigt fi xieren.
Bremszangen richten sich aus.
- Schrauben ): an beiden Bremszangen mit 45 Nm (Loctite 243™)
festziehen.
- Fixierung des Handbremshebels entfernen.
- Raddrehzahlgeber Abstand kontrollieren (s. Reparaturanleitung).
- Fahrzeugheck entlasten.
- Vorderradbremse betätigen und Gabel einige Male kräftig einfedern.
Gabelbeine richten sich aus.
- Schrauben *1 montieren und mit 15 Nm festziehen.
Nacharbeit
- Kotfl ügel vorne einbauen (s. Reparaturanleitung).
- Steuerkopfl agerspiel kontrollieren (s. Reparaturanleitung).
- Motorrad vom Montageständer (gesteckt) nehmen (s. Reparaturan-
leitung).
- Leuchtweite des Scheinwerfers einstellen (s. Reparaturanleitung).

Preassembly of upper triple clamp
-Remove screws from the original triple clamp.
- Remove handlebar supports from the original triple clamp.
- Place handlebar supports in the required position or on
the upper triple clamp (included).
NOTE
Mount the left and right handlebar supports in the same position.
- Mount screws and tighten to 40 Nm (Loctite 243™).
Assembly
- Insert the lower triple clamp (included) with the steering stem.
- Mount upper steering head bearing and seal ring retainer (1.

Preliminary work
- Remove the front fender (see repair manual).
- Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand (inserted) (see repair manual).
- Strap the rear part down.
- Remove the fork legs (see repair manual).
- Remove lower triple clamp (see repair manual).

- Position the upper triple clamp .
- Mount screw (3 with washer but do not tighten yet.
- Mount steering damper screw (4 and tighten to 8 Nm (Loctite 243™).
- Position the fuel tank cover.
- Join plug-in connector (5.
- Route the cable without tension.
- Mount the fuel tank cover.
- Position the brake line with the new gasket.
- Mount screw (6 with new gasket and tighten to 25 Nm.
NOTE
Place a pan underneath since brake fl uid will run out.
Avoid contact between brake fl uid and painted parts.
Brake fl uid attacks paint!
Immediately wash off any spilled brake fl uid with water.

- Position the brake line with the new gasket.
- Mount screw (7 with new gasket and tighten to 25 Nm.
NOTE
Place a pan underneath since brake fl uid will run out.
Avoid contact between brake fl uid and painted parts. Brake fl uid attacks
paint!
Immediately wash off any spilled brake fl uid with water.
- Route the cable of the wheel speed sensor so it is not under ten-
sion and secure with a cable tie.
- Position turn signal bracket.
Holes are aligned with the thread lying behind.
- Mount screw (8 and tighten to 3 Nm.
- Position the fork legs in the triple clamps.
The left-hand fork leg has a white adjuster; the right-hand fork leg
has a red adjuster.
- Align the fork legs in the specifi ed position by means of fork rings .
SPECIFICATION
NOTE
The standard adjustment is the setting that provides the best vehicle
handling. When the fork is compressed, the basic suspension setting
changes, causing the vehicle to become more stable but also more diffi -
cult to handle.
- Tighten screws (included) of the lower triple clamp to 15 Nm.

- Tighten screws (included) of the upper triple clamp to 18 Nm.
- Position handlebars.
- Position the handlebar clamps.

- Position the cover.

- On both sides, clean and grease shaft seal ring )7 and contact
surface of the spacers. (long-life grease).
NOTE
Insert the wide spacer on the left in the direction of travel.
Arrow indicates the direction of travel of the front wheel.
Warning
Danger of accidents Oil or grease on the brake discs reduces
the braking effect.
- Always keep the brake discs free of oil and grease.
- Clean the brake discs with brake cleaner when necessary.
- Clean screw )8 and the wheel spindle.
- Lift the front wheel into the fork, position it, and insert the wheel
spindle.
- Mount screw )8 and tighten to 45 Nm (greased thread).
- Position wheel speed sensor )9. - Mount screw and tighten to 4 Nm.
- Position the brake calipers and check that the brake linings are
seated correctly.
- Mount screws ): on both brake calipers but do not tighten yet.
- Add brake fl uid for the front wheel brake (see repair manual).
- Bleed the brake system (see repair manual).
- Operate the hand brake lever repeatedly until the brake linings are in
contact with the brake disc and there is a pressure point. Fix the hand
brake lever in the activated position.
The brake calipers straighten.
- Tighten screws ): on both brake calipers to 45 Nm (Loctite 243™).
- Remove the fi xing of the hand brake lever.
- Check the wheel speed sensor spacing (see repair manual).
- Remove the load from the rear of the vehicle.
- Operate the front brake and compress the fork a few times fi rmly.
The fork legs straighten.
- Mount screws *1 and tighten to 15 Nm.
Final steps
- Fit front fender (see repair manual).
- Check steering head bearing play (see repair manual).
- Take the motorcycle off of the lift stand (inserted) (see repair
manual).
- Adjust the headlight range of the headlight (see repair manual).

Operazione preliminare
- Smontare il parafango anteriore (v. manuale di riparazione).
- Sollevare la motocicletta con un cavalletto alzamoto (a innesto)
(v. manuale di riparazione).
- Con una cinghia tirare verso il basso la parte posteriore del veicolo.
- Smontare le gambe della forcella (v. manuale di riparazione).
- Smontare la piastra inferiore della forcella (v. manuale di riparazione).

Tutti i lavori contrassegnati con questo simbolo richiedono competenze tecniche e comprensione della materia.
Per la vostra sicurezza, far eseguire questi interventi presso un’offi cina autorizzata KTM che si occuperà della vostra moto-
cicletta in modo ottimale, impiegando manodopera specializzata e addestrata, e utilizzando i necessari utensili speciali.

- Posizionare la piastra superiore della forcella .
- Montare la vite (3 con la rondella, senza però serrarla.
- Montare la vite dell’ammortizzatore di sterzo (4 e serrarla a 8 Nm
(Loctite 243™).
- Posizionare la copertura del serbatoio del carburante.
- Collegare il connettore (5.
- Posizionare il cavo in modo da non metterlo in tensione.
- Montare la copertura del serbatoio del carburante.
- Posizionare il tubo del freno con una guarnizione nuova.
- Montare la vite (6 con la guarnizione nuova e serrarla a 25 Nm.
AVVERTENZA
Posizionare un recipiente di raccolta per raccogliere il liquido freni che
fuoriesce.
Non portare il liquido freni a contatto con parti verniciate, in quanto
corrode la vernice!
Sciacquare subito con acqua il liquido freni colato fuori.

- Posizionare il tubo del freno con una guarnizione nuova.
- Montare la vite (7 con la guarnizione nuova e serrarla a 25 Nm.
AVVERTENZA
Posizionare un recipiente di raccolta per raccogliere il liquido freni che
fuoriesce.
Non portare il liquido freni a contatto con parti verniciate, in quanto
corrode la vernice!
Sciacquare subito con acqua il liquido freni colato fuori.
- Posizionare il cavo del trasduttore numero di giri ruota in modo da
non metterlo in tensione e assicurarlo con una fascetta serracavi.
- Posizionare il supporto indicatori di direzione.
I fori sono allineati alla fi lettatura retrostante.
- Montare la vite (8 e serrare a 3 Nm.
- Posizionare le gambe della forcella sulle piastre della forcella.
Gamba sinistra della forcella con elemento di regolazione bianco,
gamba destra della forcella con elemento di regolazione rosso.
- Per mezzo degli anelli della forcella , allineare le gambe della
forcella nella posizione indicata.
NOTA
AVVERTENZA
La regolazione base è concepita per ottenere una maneggevolezza otti-
male del veicolo. Attraverso la forcella si modifi ca la taratura base delle
sospensioni: il veicolo diventa più stabile, ma meno maneggevole.
- Montare le viti (in dotazione) della piastra della forcella inferiore
e serrarle a 15 Nm.

- Posizionare il manubrio.
- Posizionare i morsetti del manubrio.
- Montare le viti (9 e serrarle a 20 Nm.
- Posizionare il coperchio.
I naselli d’ancoraggio si innestano nel supporto degli indica
tori di direzione.
- Montare i passacavi .

- Posizionare il quadro strumenti.
- Montare le viti )2 con le boccole e serrare a 2 Nm.
- Inserire il connettore )3.

- Posizionare i perni di ritegno del faro.
- Montare gli elementi di sicurezza )4.
- Inserire il connettore )5.
- Ruotare in alto il faro.
- Stringere la vite )6 a mano.

- Pulire e ingrassare su entrambi i lati il paraolio )7 e la superfi cie di
scorrimento delle bussole distanziali (grasso a lunga durata).
AVVERTENZA
Inserire la bussola distanziale larga a sinistra, in direzione di marcia.
La freccia indica il senso di rotazione della ruota anteriore.
Avvertenza
Rischio di incidente Tracce di olio o grasso sui dischi del
freno riducono l’effetto frenante.
- Assicurarsi che i dischi del freno siano sempre privi di olio e
grasso.
- Eventualmente, pulire i dischi del freno con del pulitore per
freni.
- Pulire la vite )8 e il perno ruota.
- Sollevare la ruota anteriore nella forcella, posizionarla e inserire il
perno ruota.
- Montare la vite )8 e serrarla a 45 Nm (fi lettatura ingrassata).
- Posizionare il trasduttore numero di giri ruota )9. Montare la vite e
serrarla a 4 Nm.
- Posizionare le pinze del freno e controllare che le pastiglie siano
bene in sede.
- Inserire le viti ): su entrambe le pinze del freno, ma senza serrarle.
- Rabboccare il liquido freni della ruota anteriore (v. manuale di
riparazione).
- Sfi atare l’impianto frenante (v. manuale di riparazione).
- Azionare più volte la leva del freno anteriore fi no a portare le pasti-
glie a contatto con il disco del freno e creare un punto di pressione.
Fissare la leva del freno anteriore azionata.
Le pinze del freno si allineano.
- Serrare le viti ): su entrambe le pinze del freno a 45 Nm (Loctite
243™).
- Sbloccare la leva del freno anteriore.
- Controllare la distanza del trasduttore numero di giri ruota (v.
manuale di riparazione).
- Scaricare la parte posteriore del veicolo.
- Azionare il freno della ruota anteriore e affondare alcune volte con
forza la forcella.
Le gambe della forcella si allineano.
- Montare le viti *1 e serrarle a 15 Nm.
Operazione conclusiva
- Montare il parafango anteriore (v. manuale di riparazione).
- Controllare il gioco dei cuscinetti del cannotto di sterzo (v. manuale
di riparazione).
- Togliere la motocicletta dal cavalletto alzamoto (a innesto) (v. ma-
nuale di riparazione).
- Regolare la profondità del fascio luminoso del faro (v. manuale di
riparazione).
