User Guide
This surge protector is designed to protect your multimedia and Hi-Fi equipment.
Its 5 French outlets will power and protect your IT equipment (television, speakers, burner, console,
lights, etc.) against overvoltage and lightning.
Safety instructions
Please read all the instructions before setting up the S5 Black Line II.
It must be installed indoors in a safe location where the temperature and humidity do not exceed the
limits stipulated in the specifications section.
In addition to this type 3 surge suppressor, the NFC 15-100 standard in France requires the
installation of a type 2 (or 1) modular surge protector at the origin of your electrical system in the
departments where the lightning intensity is greater than 25 (number of thunderstorm days per year).
For other countries, please see your local standard.
Installation
• Connect the S5 Black Line II into a grounded 2-pin wall outlet (2L + E / 10 A).
• Turn the master power switch to the "I" position.
• Plug your equipment to be protected into the five outlets of the S5 Black Line II.
If there is a problem, do not disassemble the S5 Black Line II, there are no reparable parts
inside. Please contact the After-Sales Service (Hotline).

On/off switch with overload protection
The S5 Black Line II switch turns the power to the 5 outlets on and off.
When the consumption of connected equipment exceeds the allowable value, the circuit breaker
opens to protect the S5 Black Line II.
To reactivate, reduce the connected power and engage the circuit breaker.

Note: if the device has been correctly installed, i.e. the red led is on and the green led is off, it
probably means the polarity is reversed in your wall socket. Your surge protector will still protect your
devices though. Still, we recommend you to repair this default.
