Quick start guide

1. Remove cleaner from packaging and place on a hard ﬂat surface.

2. Unwind the attached electrical cable.

3. Place cleaner into shallow end of the pool.

4. Place controller within reach of the cleaner cable and a 240 volt power point.

5. Plug cleaner cable into the 2 pin plug port on control module.

6. Plug the control module into the power supply socket.

7. Press the start button on control module to begin operation.

8. Cleaner will begin operation.

The Cleaner comes ready to run, simply follow the directions below to

begin operation

SAFETY DIRECTIONS

Never mix chemicals. Never mix different types of chlorine chemicals.

Store under cover in a dry, clean place away from sunlight. When diluting with water

- do not add water to the product - add the product to water.

In case of fire, drench with water.

Refer to label for first aid.

Cleaning the debris bags

1. Turn the cleaner off at the control module and unplug the unit at the 240 volt power supply.

2. Press the two tabs on each side of the cleaner body down and to the side.

3. Lift the cleaner body off the chassis.

4. The debris bags are located inside the body and are attached to the ports with an elastic banded cloth

woven into the debris bag.

5. Remove the debris bags from the cleaner and pull apart the bag tops where they are snapped together.

6. Turn bag inside out to empty collected debris.

7. Hose any excess dirt and grit out of the bags and re assemble.

8. Place bags back into cleaner and attach to the bag ports. Replace the cleaner body back onto the

cleaner chassis.

Programming the Robotic Cleaner

The Cleaner comes with two timer modes for simple operation.

1. Mode 1 is for operation in small pools – operates for one hour.

2. Mode 2 is for operation in larger pools – operates for two hours.

To set cleaning mode:

1. Small pools press select button and toggle until it selects 1 hour.

2. Large pools press select button and toggle until it selects 2 hours.

Intake Valve Adjustment

Adjusting the intakes allows for larger leaves and debris to be collected by the cleaner.

The factory setting is usually sufﬁcient for standard pool operation.

1. Turn the cleaner upside down.

2. Using a screw driver adjust the tension on the intake valve doors to the desired setting.

3. Adjust water suction intake port.

4. Ensure that you do not tighten the intake door too far as water and debris may not pass into the cleaner

debris bags.

Cable care

It is important to keep the cleaner cable in good condition. After use the cleaner cable may wind up or

become tangled. This may be more prevalent in colder conditions.

Failure to untangle or straighten the cleaner cable may result in poor coverage as the cleaner will tend to run

in a set pattern. To ensure you get the best performance from your cleaner please follow the instructions

below.

Adjusting the Cleaner

The cleaner can be adjusted to increase or decrease the turning circle of the unit to better clean your

swimming pool. The cleaner comes adjusted for use in a standard sized swimming pool and most likely no

adjustment is required. In smaller pools or symmetrical pools with tight wall and ﬂoor corners it may be

necessary to decrease the angle so the unit turns in a tighter manner.

To adjust the turning circle please follow the instructions below.

1. Remove cleaner from the swimming pool and lay on a ﬂat surface.

2. Ensure you don’t kink the cable at any time as this will damage the wiring.

3. Undo the 2 pin plug from the control module.

4. Use E-Z swivel handle to hold cable.

5. Gently walk the cable straight.

6. Twist cable as shown to untangle.

7. Gently pull the cable ﬁrmly in a straight line.

If the unit looks like it is moving in the same area of the pool and does not clean other areas, change the axle set up by adjusting the

pin configuration. This will help move the cleaner in a different pattern.

Plug control module into timer

Replacement retention clips are enclosed. Installation as follows:

1. Remove the hubcap by pressing each of the hubcap clips inwards (located on the backside of each

wheel). (Fig. 1a-1b)

2. If the retention clip has broken off inside the wheel axle tube, use a phillips screwdriver to push the

broken piece further into the axle. (Fig. 2)

3. To install, place the washer on the wheel axle, then the wheel. Using a hammer, gently tap the new

retention clip into the wheel axle tube. Reinstall the hubcap by lining up the clips with the slots in the

wheel and pressing the hubcap into the wheel. (Fig. 3)

Troubleshooting

Important Safety Instructions

Please read the following information before installing this product.

1. Use only approved electrical supply when operating this product, if unsure of power supply contact

your relevant authority before use.

2. Never turn this product on unless it is fully submerged in water, dry starting or running out of water will

damage the unit and void all warranties.

3. This products electrical supply must be through an approved RCD (Residual Current Device).

4. Power supply must not exceed 30 m/A.

5. Never use this product with an extension lead.

6. Do not use this product if it has a faulty cable.

7. Keep control module well away from water in a secure location.

8. Do not attempt to ﬁx electrical cables or motor under any circumstances. All repairs must be carried out

by licensed HY-CLOR authorised repair agents only.

This device is not intended for use by children under any circumstances.

It is not for use as a toy, riding the unit will void warranty.

This product is not to be used as a lifesaving device.

Please Read:

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian consumer law. You are

entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably

foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and

the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Warranty general conditions

All products provided by HY-CLOR AUSTRALIA PTY LIMITED (herein referred to as HY-CLOR) are warranted

for deﬁned periods of time (refer above).

All swimming pool products supplied by HY-CLOR are to be installed or used in the manner for which they

were intended. Warranty may be voided if the product or products have been used for purposes other than

their designed or manufactured purpose.

Where applicable, products supplied by HY-CLOR come with operation and installation manuals. All care

must be taken to install and operate the products according to these instructions. Failure to install or

operate these products in accordance with these instructions may void warranty.

The chemical balance of swimming pool water plays a signiﬁcant part in the operational life of all swimming

pool products; HY-CLOR recommends that regular water testing by an approved swimming pool product

outlet is conducted. Keeping a record of such tests will assist HY-CLOR in determining the validity of a

warranty claim.

To process a warranty claim proof of purchase documentation in the form of a retailers receipt or reference

from the retailer will be required to proceed with any warranty claim. It is at the discretion of HY-CLOR to

proceed with a warranty claim if a receipt is lost, illegible or otherwise unavailable.

Labour is covered by this warranty for twelve months from date of purchase. Within a 25 km radius of an

authorised HY-CLOR service agent.

Spare parts used to affect a repair of HY-CLOR products are covered by a twelve month warranty and are

not covered by the original warranty from date of purchase.

The purchaser is liable for any freight incurred where applicable.

Modiﬁcations to any electrical product provided by HY-CLOR will not be covered under this warranty unless

prior written approval has been granted by HY-CLOR and has been carried out by one of its authorised

agents.

The cleaner is intended for use in domestic swimming pools only. Use of the cleaner in any commercial

enterprise, commercial swimming pool, apartment complex swimming pool or similar will void the warranty.

HY-CLOR is not responsible for injury or death as a result of improper installation practices.

All electrical installations must be carried out by a competent licensed professional.

All pool equipment must be kept in a dry well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and in an area that

is free from ﬂooding or rain.

This warranty gives the consumer speciﬁc legal rights. The consumer may have other rights depending on

the jurisdiction in which the HY-CLOR product is sold.

To the extent permitted under consumer laws HY-CLOR will exclude any or all conditions relating to a

warranty claim whereby the consumer:

a) Has not made contact with HY-CLOR in the ﬁrst instance to make a claim under warranty.

b) Has undertaken to replace the alleged faulty product with a brand other than HY-CLOR product.

c) Attempts to claim costs for a product purchased by the consumer that is not a HY-CLOR product.

d) Whereby the consumer claims costs in excess of HY-CLOR warranty costs, both for products, freight

and labour including travel time.

Under consumer law HY-CLOR has the right to:

a) Repair or replace those goods; or paying the costs of having those goods repaired or replaced and

b) Resupplying the service or paying the costs of having those services resupplied.

Returned faulty products to the original place of purchase for a replacement or refund that has been

accepted and processed by the supplier (retailer) will be deemed by HY-CLOR as having met its obligations

of warranty.

Store under cover in a dry, clean place away from sunlight. When diluting with water

- do not add water to the product - add the product to water.

In case of fire, drench with water.
