Death from asphyxiation may occur from propane heaters or lanterns in a non-ventilated area.
Keep top of doors unzipped for ventilation.
Keep all flame and heat sources away from this tent fabric.
This tent is made with flame-resistant fabric which meets the flammability requirements of CPAI-84. It is not fire-proof.
The fabric will burn if left in continuous contact with any flame source.
The application of any foreign substance to the tent may render the flame-resistant properties ineffective.
Never use candles, matches, or open flames of any kind near a tent.
Cooking inside a tent is dangerous.
Build campfires downwind, and several meters away from a tent. Always be sure to extinguish camp fires before leaving
camp, or retiring for the night.
Practice extreme caution when using fuel powered lanterns and heaters inside a tent. Use battery operated equipment
whenever possible.
Never refuel lamps, heaters, or stoves inside a tent.
Extinguish or turn off all lanterns before going to sleep.
Avoid smoking inside a tent.
Never store flammable liquids inside a tent.
Injury or death may result if:
Tent is exposed to open flame. Do not use open flame as heat source inside shelter.
Nighttime collisions
Exterior reflectors on all four corners must be visible.
Falling Hazard
Never tow shelter with passengers inside.

Do not exceed 20 miles per hour/ 32 kilometers per hour when towing ice shelter.
Never leave ice shelter unattended when set up.
Check local regulations specific to the use of portable ice shelters
Warranty Information
Frabill, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that all Frabill, Inc. Ice Shelters are free from
manufacturers defects for the term of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty
does not cover cracked windows, tent tears, and broken or bent poles due to high wind
weather conditions or unattended use. Frabill will repair or replace any part found to be
defective within the one-year period upon inspection by the Frabill Quality Control Team. All parts must be returned to Frabill,
Inc. postage-prepaid to include the original dated receipt. All returns must be coded with a return authorization number, which
can be obtained from the Frabill, Inc., Customer Service Department.

(CAUTION! In a small amount of incidences, sharp edges of the screws may protrude thru the lip of the base after
assembling the Storm Guard System. Please use caution when loading and unloading unit.)
Flip unit to the closed position.
Take the storm guard system attachment [S] and find the middle.
From the center of the back of the base [H] pull the tent [G] tight so the front U-frame [I] is just touching the
ground.
Wrap the excess tent material under the lip on the base [H] and push the storm guard system attachment
[S] over the top of the tent material and onto the lip on the base [H] across the back edge. (Fig. IV) Before
continuing to the sides, insert 3 #8 Phillips head screws [T] across the back evenly. The Philips head screws
[T] should go through the storm guard attachment [S], tent [G], base [H], and back into the storm guard
attachment [M]. (Fig. VI)
Continue pushing the storm guard system attachment [S] over the tent material onto the lip to either side
making sure the tent is tight.
Take the remaining Philips head screws [T] and starting at one end of the storm guard system attachment
[S] insert the Philips head screws [T] at least every 8 inches on each side of the base [H]. NOTE: may have extra
screws when finished.
At the front of the base locate the 2 holes. Thread the yellow rope [U] toward the inside of the base [H].
Secure each end with a knot.
Step inside the base [H] and attach Velcro windows [AA].
The seat (F) can now be installed onto the front seat assembly (P) and the back seat assembly (N). Insert the
safety pin (Q).

Lay tent [G] under back edge of base [H], (opposite side from corner brackets) with the yellow Velcro straps facing up. (Fig. II).
Starting with the U-frame [I] closest to the base, and the Velcro closest to the base; wrap the yellow Velcro straps around
the U-frame [I]. (Fig. II) Note: Yellow Velcro straps should be on inside of tent after assembly.
Repeat step 2 for 3 more U-frames [I].
Fasten the corner velcro pieces to U-Frame. (Note: This U-frame pole touches the ground when in closed position.) Attach Velcro straps.

Set Up

Tent Positions
Collapsed – Tent down resting on the base for transport or storage

Windbreak – First pole raised with windbreak bar rotated over front U-Frame pole.

1. Fully rotate the frame to the collapsed position.
2. Make sure all the material is tucked into the base to eliminate dragging the tent material.

Safe Use and Operation
Please read and understand the instructions outlined in this manual. Failure to do so could result in injury. If there are any questions, do not hesitate to
contact the Frabill Customer Service Department. 1-800-558-1005
Set Up
1. Stand at rear of shelter and pull each U-frame toward you until it snaps into position.
2. Move to the front side by the door and lift U-frames toward you to enclose the base area. Make sure legs
are deployed. Note: Don’t force movement. If shelter binds, check for catch points.
3. Continue until the first U-frame comes in contact with the ice.
4. Depending on weather conditions, the fit of the tent can be adjusted by moving the U-frames to any of
the 3 holes in the U-frame.
5. Take the skirt in front of base from both sides and connect the 2 sides in the middle of the base.
6. Insert the stretcher poles and adjust to the appropriate positions.
Seat Installation
1. Hook seat bracket under front lip of base.
2. Pivot leg down into the leg channel in the base.
3. Seats can be placed anywhere along the front edge of the base.
Tent Positions
Collapsed – Tent down resting on the base fro transport or storage
Closed – Tent rotated over the base onto the ice.
Windbreak – Back two stretcher poles removed and the front U-frame off the ice.
Collapsing for Transport
1. Disconnect the skirt in the middle of the front of the base.
2. Remove all the stretcher poles.
3. With the tent in the closed position, start at the back of the shelter, press the spring buttons
in on each side of the frame and lower the U-frame over the straight poles.
4. Repeat on the next 2 U-frames moving towards the door.
5. Close the door with the zipper.
6. Rotate the last U-frame to an upright position and then press the spring buttons
to lower it over the straight poles.
7. Fully rotate the frame to the collapsed position.
8. Make sure all the material is tucked into the base to eliminate dragging the tent material.
9. Place seats, tackle and poles inside base.

Tips for Use
If towing your shelter with a motorized vehicle, we highly recommend adding a Frabill Hyfax Kit to
extend the life of your base.
Only use the yellow rope for towing your ice shelter by hand. For towing with powered gear, see

Always set up your ice shelter with the back facing or quartering into the wind. This keeps the wind at your
back and minimizes blow back into the front fishing area.
Custom fit transport covers are available for all Flip-over style
portable shelters. Ideal for keeping snow and ice out of the
base and your equipment when towing the shelter across the
ice. See www.frabill.com or back page for more information.
When setting up your shelter, bank the edges with ice
shavings and snow to help hold it in place. If there is no snow
you can fold the storm flap under the frame and weigh it down
with extra equipment to help hold the shelter in place.
Your ice shelter is equipped with a Velcro tab located on the
door, which attaches to a second Velcro tab located on the side panel of the shelter. This holds the door
open on warmer days.
Flip-over ice shelters are equipped with two bi-directional zippers, which allow the door to be opened
from either side. This feature also allows you to close the door from both bottom corners until the zippers
meet at the top. This allows you to open the door slightly at the top for added ventilation.
All Flip-over ice shelters feature an adjustable telescoping frame design, which
allows adjustment of the tent tension to compensate for varying wind/fit
conditions. To keep frame poles sliding freely it is recommended to wax the
frame poles with ski wax. Do not use oil or grease to lubricate.

In Season Care
All Frabill ice shelters are treated with a water repellent sealer. This sealer will help to repel water from leaking
into the tent. This does not guarantee against leakage due to heavy rains, standing snow or seepage through the
seams of the tent.
The recommended product to waterproof the tent is Camp Dry™ Water Repellent Spray. If any other
commercial water repellent product is used, test on the skirt of the tent prior to applying to the entire unit. Tent
defects caused by applying any foreign substance to the tent will invalidate the Frabill warranty.
Always use care when folding your tent after each use. Be careful of plastic windows and frame mechanics. In
extreme cold (below 10ºF) it is recommended to remove Velcro windows prior to folding unit. Should a tear
occur, replacement windows and patches are available for a minimal cost through the Frabill customer
service department.
Preparing your Flip-Over Ice Shelter for Storage
Prevent rodent, mold, mildew damage!
1. Unscrew all screws from Storm Guard System, and remove tent from base and U-frames.
2. Hand wash with soap and water to remove any fish remains or odor. Do not use washing
machine as it may damage tent and windows.
3. Allow tent to dry thoroughly.
4. Fold tent neatly in tamper proof container. Do not fold windows.
We recommend removing windows for storage. Keep Storm
Guard System and screws in this container also.
5. Mothballs may be added to protect fabric from rodents.
6. Store container in a cool dry area off the ground.

Universal design heavy-duty tubular steel towbar has a 1 pin attachment for fast and
easy attachment. Includes all hardware, including pin to attach to ATV/Snowmobile.
Has a compact design that is easy for storage. The main bar stays permanently at-
tached to the base and swivels out of the way for storage.
Removable wear strips that extend the life of the shelter base by taking the abuse
that snow, ice and pavement put on the base. Each kit includes 4 runner strips and
the mounting hardware. Hyfax strips can be easily trimmed to t most models of
shelters. For shelter models #6180/7080, #6157/7057 and #6152/7052, use #1640
kit. All other shelters use the #1638 kit.

L’utilisation d’appareils de chauage ou de lanternes au gaz propane dans des endroits non ventilés peut causer la mort par asphyxie.
• Maintenir la partie supérieure des portes ouverte pour assurer la ventilation.
Garder toute amme et source de chaleur éloignée de ce tissu pour tentes.
• Cette tente est fabriquée en tissu étanche aux ammes qui satisfait aux exigences d'inammabilité de la norme CPAI-84. Elle n'est pas ignifuge.
• Le tissu peut brûler s'il est laissé en contact continu avec toute source de amme.
L'application de toute substance étrangère à la tente peut rendre ses propriétés ignifuges inecaces.
• Ne jamais utiliser de chandelles, allumettes ou ammes nues de quelque sorte que ce soit près d'une tente.
• Il est dangereux de faire de la cuisson à l'intérieur d'une tente.
• Bâtir vos feux de camp sous le vent, et à plusieurs mètres d'une tente. Toujours veiller à éteindre les feux de camp avant de quitter le site ou de se retirer pour la nuit.
• User de précautions extrêmes en utilisant des lanternes et des chauerettes alimentées au carburant à l'intérieur d'une tente. Utiliser de l'équipement alimenté par piles chaque fois que
c'est possible.
• Ne jamais recharger de lampes, chauerettes ou poêles à l'intérieur d'une tente.
• Éteindre toutes les lanternes avant d'aller dormir.
• Éviter de fumer à l'intérieur d'une tente.
• Ne jamais ranger de liquides inammables à l'intérieur d'une tente.
Voici une situation qui pourrait causer des blessures ou la mort :
Une tente qui est exposée à une amme nue. On ne doit pas utiliser une amme nue comme source de chaleur à l’intérieur de l’abri.
Collisions nocturnes
Les réecteurs extérieurs doivent être visibles aux quatre coins.
Risque de trébucher
Ne jamais remorquer l’abri lorsqu’il y a des personnes à l’intérieur.
(Indique que l’équipement pourrait possiblement être endommagé)
Ne pas dépasser 32 km/h / 20 mph en remorquant l’abri sur glace.
Ne jamais laisser l’abri sur glace sans surveillance lorsqu’il est monté.
IMPORTANT
Vérier les règlements locaux traitant spéciquement de l’utilisation des abris sur glace portatifs.

ASSEMBLAGE DE LA BASE ET DE LA TENTE
Étendre la tente [G] sous le bord arrière de la base [H], (côté opposé aux supports de coins) avec les courroies velcro jaunes faisant face vers
le haut et le bord sans gaines jaunes du côté le plus près de la base . (Fig. II).
En commençant avec le cadre en U [I] le plus près de la base et le velcro le plus près de la base ; enrouler les courroies velcro jaunes autour
du cadre en U [I]. (Fig. II) Remarque : les courroies velcro jaunes devraient être à l'intérieur de la tente après l'assemblage.
Répéter l'étape 2 pour 3 autres cadres en U [I].
Ensuite,xer les pièces velcro de coin au cadre en U. (Remarque : ce poteau de cadre en U touche le sol en position fermée.).

Replier l'unité à la position fermée.
Saisir l'accessoire Storm Guard [S] et en repérer le milieu.
À partir du centre de l'arrière de la base [H] tirer fermement sur la tente [G] de façon à que le cadre en U avant [I] eeure le sol.
Ramasser l'excès de matériel de tente en dessous de la lèvre sur la base [H] et pousser l'accessoire Storm Guard [S] au-dessus
du matériel de la tente et jusqu'à la lèvre sur la base [H] en travers du bord arrière. (Fig. IV) Avant de poursuivre avec les côtés,
insérer 3 vis cruciformes (Phillips) nº 8 [T] réparties uniformément à travers l'arrière. Les vis à tête Phillips [T] devraient passer
à travers l'accessoire Storm Guard [S], la tente [G], la base [H], et de retour dans l'accessoire Storm Guard [M]. (Fig. VI)
Continuer à pousser l'accessoire Storm Guard [S] par dessus le matériel de tente jusqu'à la lèvre de l'un ou l'autre côté pour
faire en sorte que la tente soit tendue.
Saisir les vis à tête Phillips restantes [T] et en commençant à une extrémité de l'accessoire Storm Guard [L] insérer les vis à tête
Phillips [T] au minimum à tous les 8 pouces de chaque côté de la base [H]. REMARQUE : il se peut que vous ayez des vis en trop
à la n.
À l'avant de la base, repérer les 2 trous. Enler la corde jaune [U] vers l'intérieur de la base [H]. Fixer chaque extrémité à l'aide
d'un nœud.
Pénétrer dans la base [H] et attacher les fenêtres velcro [AA].
le siège [F] peut maintenant êtrexé après l'ensemble de siège avant [P] et l'ensemble de siège arrière [N]. Insérer la goupille
de sûreté [Y] à travers la plaque de siège [W] et l'ensemble de siège avant [S] et verrouiller la goupille de sûreté [Q].

(MISE EN GARDE ! Dans un petit nombre de cas, les bords coupants sur les vis peuvent excéder la lèvre de la base
après l'assemblage du système Storm Guard. User de prudence au moment de charger et décharger l'unité.)
Assemblage
Déplacez-vous du côté avant et levez les cadres en U dans votre direction pour enfermer la surface de la base.
Remarque : ne pas forcer le mouvement. Si l'abri a tendance à plier, vérier les points d'accrochage.
Positions de la tente
Aaissée – tente abaissée reposant sur la base pour le transport ou l'entreposage
Fermée – tente pivotée par dessus la base jusqu'à la glace
Brise-vent – le premier poteau élevé avec la barre de brise-vent pivotée par dessus le poteau du cadre en U avant
Aaissement en vue du transport
1. Faire pivoter complètement le châssis en position aaissée.
2. Veiller à ce que tout le matériel de tente soit bien rangé dans la base pour empêcher matériel de tente de traîner.
3. Placer seau, agrès de pêche et poteaux à l'intérieur de la base.
