1. - VOORWOORD

Uw aanschaf van het paraffinebad stellen wij zeer op prijs.

Het paraffinebad biedt de mogelijkheid om op een zeer

eenvoudige wijze warmte-therapie toe te passen.

Bij de ontwikkeling en productie van het paraffine-

bad is veel zorg besteed aan betrouwbaarheid, vei-

ligheid, gebruiksgemak en duurzaamheid. Om op

een goede en veilige manier het paraffinebad te kun-

nen gebruiken, is het belangrijk dat u onderstaande

aanwijzingen voor het gebruik doorneemt.

2. - INSTALLATIE

1. Controleer of de op het typeplaatje aangegeven

netspanning overeenkomt met de plaatselijke net-

spanning.

2. Vul de watertank als volgt: kantel het paraffine-

bad zoals aangegeven op de afbeelding. Verwij-

der de dop van de watertoevoer en vul de tank

tot het water zichtbaar wordt in de toevoer.

3. Vul het bad met de tabletten van de conductieve

warmtedragers (paraffine, Paralingo®,

Parafango® Battaglia). Om de warmtedrager zo

snel mogelijk te laten smelten wordt deze op de

bodem en tegen de randen van het bad gelegd.

4. Sluit het bad aan op een wandcontactdoos met

randaarde. Zet de aan/uit schakelaar in stand 1

en stel de thermostaat op de gewenste tempera-

tuur in. Het indicatie-lampje gaat aan. Zodra de

paraffine de ingestelde temperatuur bereikt heeft

gaat dit lampje weer uit.

Afhankelijk van de hoeveelheid en soort warmte-

drager duurt het 1 á 3 uur tot deze geheel gesmol-

ten is. Controleer voor gebruik de temperatuur van

de warmtedrager met een thermometer.

3. - AANWIJZINGEN M.B.T. VEILIGHEID

• Controleer regelmatig het waterniveau

• Het apparaat is tegen oververhitting beveiligd

d.m.v. een thermische beveiliging. Deze bevindt

zich aan de onderzijde van het apparaat achter

een paneel. Om de beveiliging weer in werking

te stellen, eerst de steker uit de wandcontact-

doos trekken, het apparaat ledigen en om-

draaien, het paneel verwijderen (twee schroeven)

en de rode knop indrukken.

• Houdt te allen tijde kinderen weg bij de apparatuur.

• Bij onjuist gebruik kan letsel optreden (o.a. door ver-

branding). Toezicht van een kundig (para)medicus is

daarom een vereiste.

3.1. Productaansprakelijkheid

In veel landen is inmiddels een wet op de product-

aansprakelijkheid van kracht, waarbij onder meer

geldt dat de fabrikant, 10 jaar nadat een product in

omloop is gebracht, niet meer aansprakelijk gesteld

kan worden voor de gevolgen van eventuele gebre-

ken aan het product.

Voorzover toegestaan door de van toepassing zijnde

wetgeving zullen Enraf-Nonius of zijn leveranciers of

verkopers onder geen enkele omstandigheid aan-

sprakelijk zijn voor indirecte, uitzonderlijke, inciden-

tele of gevolgschade voortvloeiend uit het gebruik

van, dan wel de onmogelijkheid van het gebruik van

het product, met inbegrip van, maar niet beperkt tot

schade als gevolg van verlies aan goodwill, werk-

onderbreking, computerdefecten of -storingen, of

andere commerciële schade of verliezen, zelfs indien

Enraf-Nonius, dan wel zijn leveranciers of verkopers,

op de hoogte is gesteld van de mogelijkheid van

een dergelijke schade en ongeacht de rechts- of

billijkheidstheorie (contract, onrechtmatige daad of

anderszins) waarop de claim is gebaseerd. Enraf-

Nonius zal op grond van bepalingen van deze over-

eenkomst in geen geval aansprakelijk zijn voor

schade die meer bedraagt dan het bedrag dat En-

raf-Nonius voor dit product van u heeft ontvangen

en eventuele vergoedingen voor ondersteuning van

het product die door Enraf-Nonius op grond van een

afzonderlijke ondersteuningsovereenkomst zijn ont-

vangen. In geval van dood of lichamelijk letsel voort-

vloeiend uit de nalatigheid van Enraf-Nonius geldt

deze beperking niet voorzover de toepasselijke wet-

geving een dergelijke beperking verbiedt.

Enraf-Nonius is niet aansprakelijk voor de gevolgen

van de onjuiste gegevens en adviezen van haar per-

soneel, dan wel fouten voorkomende in deze hand-

leiding, en/of ander begeleidend schrijven (met in-

begrip van commerciële documentatie).

De wederpartij (gebruiker of representant van de

gebruiker) is gehouden Enraf-Nonius te vrijwaren voor

alle aanspraken van derden, hoe ook genaamd en

op welke grond dan ook gebaseerd.

5. - BEDIENING

• Stel de thermostaat in op de gewenste tempera-

tuur. Deze is afhankelijk van de gebruikte warmte-

drager: paraffine 55°C, Paralingo® 60°C à 70°C,

Parafango Battaglia 60°C.

• Het paraffinebad kan gebruikt worden voor:

• dompelen

• begieten

• bestrijken

• Alvorens de warmtedrager toe te passen moet

men eerst goed roeren om een gelijkmatige tem-

peratuur te verkrijgen

• Bij dompelen wordt de extremiteit 8 à 10 maal

gedompeld en vervolgens ingepakt in een warmte

isolerende omslag

• Bij begieten wordt de extremiteit begoten met

de warmtedrager, en eventueel bestreken met be-

hulp van een kwast om een gelijkmatige verde-

ling te krijgen. Vervolgens wordt de extremiteit

ingepakt in een warmte isolerende omslag

• Bij bestrijken wordt met behulp van een kwast

de warmtedrager opgebracht. De extremiteit

wordt vervolgens in een warmte isolerende om-

slag geplaatst.

• Bij sommige pakkingen kan men gebruik maken

van een tussenstof (bijvoorbeeld Parafoil®)

•Let op: de meeste warmtedragers hebben een

beperkte levensduur. Daarnaast is het ook

hygiënisch om de warmtedrager regelmatig te

verversen. Wij raden u aan om bij intensief ge-

bruik elke week de warmtedrager te verversen.

Voor de levensduur verwijzen wij u naar de ver-

pakking / bijsluiter van de warmtedrager. Infor-

meer s.v.p. naar de plaatselijke regels voor het

afvoeren van de warmtedrager.

6. - REINIGEN EN ONDERHOUD

• Het paraffinebad kan worden gereinigd met een

vochtige doek en een vloeibaar huishoud-

schoonmaakmiddel (geen schuurmiddel).

• Voor het verkrijgen van reserveonderdelen kunt u

contact opnemen met uw leverancier.

• Uw paraffinebad bevat materialen die hergebruikt

kunnen worden en/of schadelijk zijn voor het mi-

lieu. Bij het afvoeren, aan het einde van de le-

vensduur, kunnen gespecialiseerde bedrijven uw

paraffinebad demonteren om er de schadelijke

materialen en de her te gebruiken materialen uit

te halen. Hiermee draagt u bij tot een beter mi-

lieu.

Informeer s.v.p. naar de plaatselijke regels voor

het afvoeren van apparatuur en toebehoren.

7. - TOT SLOT

1. - PREFACE

We very much appreciate your purchase of the Par-

affin bath. The Paraffin bath offers the possibility to

practice thermotherapy in an easy way.

When developing and producing the Paraffin bath,

much consideration was given to reliability, safety,

user comfort and durability. In order to be able to

use your Paraffin bath safely, it is important that you

read the instructions before use.

2. - INSTALLATION

1. Check that the required supply voltage on the

type plate corresponds with the available mains

supply

2. To fill the water tank, put the paraffin bath in a

slope position (see picture). Remove the cover

of the the water filler jacket and fill the tank untill

the water becomes visible in the jacket.

3. Fill the bath with the conductive heat carriers

(paraffine, Paralingo®, Parafango® Battaglia).

The best heating is obtained by breaking the tab-

lets in pieces and placing these pieces against

the side walls of the bath.

4. Connect the unit to an earthed wall socket. Turn

the on/off switch to position I, and turn the ther-

mostat to the desired temperature. The indicator

lamp now lights. When the wax has reached the

preset temperature, the indicator lamp goes out.

Dependent on the amount of wax in the bath, it will

take 1 to 3 hours before the wax is completely

melted. Before use, it is advised to check the tem-

perature of the wax with a thermometer.

3. - DIRECTIONS WITH REGARD TO

SAFETY

• Regulary check the water level in the tank

• The unit is protected against over-heating (boil-

ing dry) by means of a thermal cut-out. The ther-

mal cut-out is located behind the bottom panel

of the unit. To re-set the thermal cut-out , discon-

nect the heater from the mains, empty the unit

and turn it upside down, remove the panel (2

screws) and press the red button.

• At all times keep away children from the equip-

ment.

• When the Paraffin bath is not used in the correct

way, injury may occur. Supervision by a knowl-

edgeable (para)medic is therefore obligatory.

3.1. Product Liability

A law on Product Liability has become effective in

many countries. This Product Liability law implies,

amongst other things, that once a period of 10 years

has elapsed after a product has been brought into

circulation, the manufacturer can no longer be held

responsible for possible shortages of the product.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law,

in no event will Enraf-Nonius or its suppliers or

resellers be liable for any indirect, special, inciden-

tal or consequential damages arising from the use

of or inability to use the product, including, without

limitation, damages for loss of goodwill, work and

productivity, computer failure or malfunction, or any

and all other commercial damages or losses, even if

advised of the possibility thereof, and regardless of

the legal or equitable theory (contract, tort or other-

wise) upon which the claim is based. In any case,

Enraf-Nonius’s entire liability under any provision of

this agreement shall not exceed in the aggregate

the sum of the fees paid for this product and fees for

support of the product received by Enraf-Nonius

under a separate support agreement (if any), with

the exception of death or personal injury caused by

the negligence of Enraf-Nonius to the extent appli-

cable law prohibits the limitation of damages in such

cases. Enraf-Nonius can not be held liable for any

consequence resulting from incorrect information

provided by it’s personnel, or errors incorporated in

this manual and / or other accompanying documen-

tation (including commercial documentation). The

opposing party (product’s user or it’s representa-

tive) shall disclaim Enraf-Nonius from all claims aris-

ing from third parties, whatever nature or whatever

relationship to the opposing party.

5. - OPERATION

• Adjust the thermostat to the required tempera-

ture. This temperature depends on the heat car-

rier : paraffine 55 °C, Paralingo® 60 °C à 70 °C,

Parafango Battaglia 60 °C

• The parrafine bath can be used for:

• dipping

• pouring

• brushing

• Before the heat carrier will be applied, first stirr

well in order to obtain an evenly distributed heat

• For dipping the extremity is dipped into the wax

for 8 to 10 times and than packed in an isolating

cover

• For pouring the extremity is poured over with the

heat carrier, and it can also be brushed at your

desire in order to evenly distribute the wax. The

extremity is then packed in an isolating cover.

• For brushing the heat carrier is added to the ex-

tremity by means of a brush. The extremity is then

packed in an isolating cover.

• With some heat carriers one can also us a inter-

mediate skin like Parafoil®

•Note: most heat carriers have a limited life span.

It also is hygiënic to refresh you heat carrier at

regulary intervals. We recommend you to refresh

your heat carrier every week when used intensly

at a daily basis. For the exact life span expect-

ancy please look at the manual / packaging of

the heat carrier. Please ensure that you are well

informed of the local rules and regulations regard-

ing to the removal of the heat carrier.

6. - CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• The Paraffin bath can be cleaned with a damp

cloth and a (non abrasive) liquid household

cleaner.

• In order to obtain spare parts, you please con-

tact your supplier.

• Your Paraffin bath contains materials which can

be recycled and/or are noxious for the environ-

ment. At the end of the duration of life, special-

ised con-cerns can take apart the Paraffin bath

and sort out the noxious materials and materials

for recycling. By doing so you contribute to a

better environment.

Please ensure that you are well informed of the

local rules and regulations regarding to the re-

moval of equipment and accessories.

1. - VORWORT

Wir gratulieren Ihnen zu Ihrem neuen Paraffin Bad

von Enraf-Nonius. Das Paraffin Bad bietet Ihnen viele

Möglichkeiten für Thermotherapie.

Bei der Konstruktion und Entwicklung dieser Paraf-

fin Bad wurde besonderer Wert auf Sicherheit, Kom-

fort und Lebensdauer gelegt. Für eine optimale und

sichere Handhabung der Paraffin Bad ist es unbe-

dingt erforderlich, diese Gebrauchsanweisung sorg-

fältig zu lesen.

2. - INSTALLATION

1. Überprüfen Sie, ob die Netzspannung auf dem

Typschild mit der örtlichen Netzspannung über-

einstimmt.

2. Wassertank füllen: das Parraffin Bad schregstellen

wie auf der Abbildung. Dann die Kappe de

Wasserzufuhr entfernen und den Tank füllen bis

das wasser in der Zufuhr sichtbar wird.

3. Bad mit den Wärmeträger füllen (paraffine,

Paralingo®, Parafango® Battaglia). Um den

Wärmeträger so schnell wie möglich schmelzen

zu lassen, wird dieser auf den Boden und gegen

die Ränder des Bades gelegt.

4. Das Bad an einer Steckdoes mit Schutzerde an-

schließen. Den An/aus-Schalter in Position I stel-

len und den Thermostat auf der gewünschten Tem-

peratur einstellen. Die Anzeigelampe leuchtet.

Wenn die eingestellte Temperatur erreicht ist,

löscht diese Lampe wieder.

Je nach der menge Warmeträger dauert es 1 à 3

Stunden bis diese völlig geschmolzen ist. Überprü-

fen Sie die Temperatur vor der Bahandlung mit ei-

nem Thermometer.

3. - SICHERHEITSANWEISUNGEN

• Regelmäßig das Wasserniveau Überprüfen

• Das Gerät hat eine Überhitzungs-Schutzvorrich-

tung durch eine thermische Sicherung. Diese be-

findet sich auf der unterseite des Geräts, hinter

ein Panel. Um diese Sicherung wieder einzuschal-

ten, erst das Gerät vom Netz trennen, entleeren

und umdrehen, das Panel entfernen (zwei Schrau-

ben) und den roten Knopf eindrücken.

• Kinder dürfen nicht beim Paraffin Bad gelassen

werden.

• Die Verantwortung für das Benutzen des Paraffin

Bad liegt bei dem Arzt oder Therapeuten.

3.1 Produkthaftung

In vielen Ländern ist ein Gesetz über die Produkt-

haftung in Kraft. Dieses Gesetz besagt unter ande-

rem, daß 10 Jahre nachdem ein Produkt in den Ver-

kehr gebracht wurde, der Hersteller nicht mehr für

eventuelle Mängel am Produkt haftbar gemacht wer-

den kann.

Enraf-Nonius bzw. Lieferanten von Enraf-Nonius oder

einschließlich eventueller Vergütungen für

Benutzungsunterstützung, die Enraf-Nonius aus ei-

nem separaten Vertrag für Benutzungsunterstützung

von Ihnen empfangen hat. Wenn die zutreffende

Gesetzgebung eine Haftungsbeschränkung im Falle

von Tod oder Körperschaden als Folge von Nach-

lässigkeit von Enraf-Nonius verbietet, ist die hier be-

5. - BEDIENUNG

• Stellen Sie das Thermostat auf die gewünschte

Temperatur ein. Diese hängt von dem verwende-

ten Wärmeträger ab: Paraffin 55 °C Paralingo®

60 °C bis 70 °C Parafango Battaglia 60 °C.

• Das Paraffinbad kann für folgende Anwendungen

verwendet werden:

• Eintauchen

• Begießen

• Bestreichen

• Bevor der Wärmeträger verwendet wird, muß zu-

nächst gut umgerührt werden, um eine gleich-

mäßige Wärme zu erreichen.

• Beim Eintauchen wird die Extremität 8 bis 10 mal

eingetaucht und dann in einen wärmeisolieren-

den Umschlag gepackt.

• Beim Begießen wird die Extremität mit dem

Wärmeträger begossen und eventuell mit Hilfe

eines Pinsels bestrichen, um eine gleichmäßige

Verteilung zu erreichen. Anschließend wird die

Extremität in einen wärmeisolierenden Umschlag

verpackt.

• Beim Bestreichen wird mit Hilfe eines Pinsels der

Wärmeträger aufgetragen. Die Extremität wird dann

in einen wärmeisolierenden Umschlag gepackt.

• Bei manchen Packungen kann meine Zwischen-

substanz (beispielsweise Parafoil®) verwenden.

•Achtung: die meisten Wärmeträger haben nur

eine begrenzte Haltbarkeit. Darüber hinaus ist es

hygienisch, den Wärmeträger regelmäßig zu er-

neuern. Wir empfehlen, bei intensiver Nutzung

den Wärmeträger jede Woche zu erneuern. Im

Zusammenhang mit der Haltbarkeit verweisen wir

auf die Verpackung/den Beipackzettel des

Wärmeträgers. Informieren Sie sich über die örtli-

chen Vorschriften für die Entsorgung von dem

Wärmeträger.

6. - WARTUNG

• Verwenden Sie keine scharfe Haushaltsreiniger.

Das Paraffin Bad kann mit einem weichen Tuch

gesäubert werden.

• Für Ersatzteile, nehmen Sie bitte Kontakt auf mit

Ihrem Lieferanten.

• Ihr Paraffin Bad enthält Materialien die wiederver-

wendet werden können oder schädlich für die Um-

welt sind.Bei der Entsorgung am Ende des

Lebensdauers können spezialisierte Betriebe Ih-

ren Paraffin Bad zerlegen und damit schädliche

oder wiederverwendbare Materialien trennen. Hier-

mit tragen Sie zu einer besseren Umwelt bei.

Informieren Sie sich über die örtlichen Vorschrif-

ten für die Entsorgung von alten Geräten und

Zubehör.

1. - PRÉFACE

Nous sommes heureux que vous ayez choisi le bac

chauffant pour paraffine. Le bac chauffant s’offre la

possibilité de pratiquer aisément une thérapie thermal.

Lors de la réalisation et de la production de le bac

chauffant, nous avons apporté une très grande atten-

tion à la fonctionnalité, la sécurité, le confort d’utilisa-

tion ainsi qu’à la qualité. Pour utiliser votre bac chauf-

fant en toute sécurité, suivez attentivement les directi-

ves de montage et de manipulation ci-dessous.

2. - INSTALLATION

1. Vérifier si le voltage indiqué sur la plaque de type

correspond à celui du résau locale

2. Pour remplir le réservoir d’eau: metre le bain de

paraffine en position inclinée (voir figure), enlever le

bouchon du conduit d’eau et remplir le réservoir

jusqu’à ce que l’eau soit visible dan la conduit

3. Mettre la paraffine dans le bain (paraffine,

Paralingo®, Parafango® Battaglia). Afin de faire

fondre le vecteur thermique le plus rapidement

possible, celui-ci est placé sur le fond et contre

les parois du bain.

4. Brancher le bain à une prise murale reliée à terr/

Mettre l’interrupteur de marche / arrêt dans la po-

sition I. Régler le thermostat. Le voyant s’allume.

Il s’éteint quand la cire a attient la température

préréglée.

Dépendant de la quantité, la cire fondera dans 1 à 3

heures. Il est recommandé de contrôler la tempéra-

ture de la cire avant l’utilisation à l’aide d’une ther-

momètre.

3. - DIRECTIVES CONCERNANT LA

SÉCURITÉ

• Vérifier régulièrement le niveau d’eau du réservoir

• L’unité est protégé contre la surchauffage par

moyen d’un disjoncteur auromatique. Celui-ci se

trouve en dessous de l’appareil. Pour le réacti-

ver: débrancher l’appareil du réseau, vider

l’appareil et le mettre sens dessus dessous, enle-

ver la plaque (2 vis) et presser le bouton rouge.

• Ne laissez pas les enfants avec Le bac chauffant

sans supervision.

• Quand l’appareil n’est pas correctement utilisé,

le patient peut se blesser. C’est pourquoi les exer-

cices doivent obligatoirement être supervisés par

un personnel médical compétent.

3.1. Responsabilite du fabricant

Dans beaucoup des pays une loi concernant la res-

ponsabilité du fabricant est entrée en vigueur, selon

laquelle entre autres, le fabricant n’est plus tenu res-

ponsable des dommages consécutifs aux défauts

éventuels d’un produit, après écoulement d’une pé-

riode de dix ans suite au lancement du produit sur le

marché.

Pour autant qu’il soit autorisé par la législation en

vigueur, Enraf-Nonius ou ses fournisseurs et vendeurs,

ne peuvent en aucune cas être tenus pour responsible

des dommages directs, indirects, accidentels ou

exceptionnels, ou résultants d’un usage, ou impos-

sibilité de l’usage, du produit, y compris, mais non

limitatif, des dommages suite à la perte involontaire,

arrêt de travail, défectuosités ou problèmes d’ordi-

nateur ou autres dégâts et pertes commerciales,

même si Enraf-Nonius ses fournisseurs ou vendeurs

ont été mis au courant de la possibilité de tels dom-

mages et sans préjudice la théorie de droit et légi-

5. - CONSEILS DE RÉGLAGE

• Réglez le thermostat sur la température désirée.

Celle-ci dépend du vecteur thermique utilisé : 55

°C pour la paraffine, 60 à 70 °C pour le Paralingo®,

60 °C pour le Parafango Battaglia.

• Le bain de paraffine peut être utilisé pour :

• immerger

• arroser

• enduire

• Avant d’appliquer le vecteur thermique, celui-ci

doit d’abord être bien mélangé afin qu’il ait une

chaleur uniforme.

• En cas d’immersion, l’extrémité est immergée 8

à 10 fois et ensuite enveloppée dans une com-

presse d’isolation thermique.

• En cas d’arrosage, le vecteur thermique est ar-

rosé sur l’extrémité et éventuellement enduit à

l’aide d’un pinceau afin de le répartir uniformé-

ment. L’extrémité est ensuite enveloppée dans

une compresse d’isolation thermique.

• Lorsqu’il est enduit, le vecteur thermique est ap-

pliqué à l’aide d’un pinceau. L’extrémité est en-

suite enveloppée dans une compresse d’isola-

tion thermique.

• Un tissu intermédiaire (par exemple du Parafoil®)

peut être utilisé dans certaines compresses.

•Attention : la plupart des vecteurs thermiques

ont une durée d’utilisation limitée. Il est en outre

hygiénique de remplacer régulièrement le vec-

teur thermique. En cas d’utilisation intensive, nous

vous recommandons de le remplacer toutes les

semaines. La durée d’utilisation est indiquée sur

l’emballage/la notice d’utilisation du vecteur ther-

mique. Informez-vous des règles locales pour l’en-

lèvement du vecteur thermique.

6. - CONSEILS D’ENTRETIEN

• Le châssis doit être nettoyé avec une éponge hu-

mide et un détergent domestique (non abrasif)..

• Pour obtenir des pièces de rechange, contactez

votre fournisseur agréé.

• Votre bac chauffant contient des matériaux à re-

cycler et/ou qui sont dangereux pour l’environ-

nement. Lors de la mise au rebut, à la fin de la

durée de fonctionnement, des entreprises spé-

cialisées peuvent démonter votre bac de chauf-

fant pour enlever les matériaux dangereux et

récupérables. Ainsi, vous contribuez à la protec-

tion de l’environnement.

Informez-vous des règles locales pour l’enlève-

ment de l’appareillage et des accessoires.

1. - PREFACIO

Le agradecemos su compra del baño de parafina.

El baño de parafina le offrece la posibilidad de prac-

ticar muy flexiblemente la terapía calor.

Al desarrollar y producir este baño de parafina he-

mos puesto el mayor esmero en la fiabilidad, segu-

ridad, facilidad de usar y durabilidad. Para saber

usar su baño de parafina seguramente, es impor-

tante que Usted lea las instrucciones siguientes an-

tes de que use su.

2. - INSTALACION

1. Comprobar si el voltaje mencionada en la placa

de tipo corresponde al voltaje de la red

2. Llenar el receptáculo: poner el baño en posición

inclinada (ver figura). Sacar la caperuzza del tubo

de agua. Llenar el receptáculo hasta que el aqua

se vea en el tubo

3. Poner la parafina (Paralingo®, Parafango®

Battaglia) en el baño. Para que el portador tér-

mico se derrita cuanto antes se coloca sobre el

fondo y los bordes del baño.

4. Conectar el baño a une enchufe de pared con

toma de tierra. Poner el interruptor de conexión

/ desconexión en la posición (I). Ajustar la tem-

peratura deseada. La luz indicatora se encien-

de. Cuando la cera ha alcanzoda la temperatura

ajustada, la luz se apaga.

Dependiente de la cantidad, la parafina funde ente-

ramente en 1 a 3 horas. Se recomienda verificar la

temperatura de la cera antes de usarla (utilisar un

termómetro).

3. - INSTRUCCIONES CON RESPECTO

A LA SEGURIDAD

• Comprobar regularmente el nivel del aqua en el

receptáculo.

• El baño es protegido contra sobrecalentamiento

por un disyuntor automático. Este se encuerntra

al lado inferior del baño. Para reposicionar el

disyuntor: desconectar el calentador de la red,

poner el aparato el revés, quitar la chapa (dos

tornillos) y presionar el botón rojo.

• No dejar fuera de observación durante largo tiem-

po a niños pequeños

• Si los tratiamento son ejecutados incorrectamen-

te, una lesión puede producirse. Es por este

motivo que la inspección de un paramédico ca-

pacitado es necesario.

3.1. Responsabilidad de producto

En muchos países es vigente ahora una ley de

responsibilidad de productos, que implica entre otros

que el fabricante, después de 10 años después de

emitir un producto, no se puede hacer responsable

por las consecuencias de defectos eventuales del

producto.

El máximo permitido y aplicable por ley, en ningún

caso Enraf-Nonius o sus proveedores o distribuido-

res serán responsables por cualquier daño indirec-

to, especial, incidental o consecuencial que se pro-

duzca por el uso o inhabilidad para usar el produc-

to, incluyendo, sin limitación, daños por pérdida de

buena voluntad, trabajo y productividad, fallo de

ordenador o mal funcionamiento, o cualquier otro

daño comercial o pérdidas, incluso si se avisa de

esa posibilidad, y sin tener en cuenta los términos

legales o la teoría de equidad (contrato, agravio u

otra cosa) en la que se basa la demanda. En cual-

quier caso, la responsabilidad integra de Enraf-No-

nius bajo cualquier provisión de este acuerdo no

excederá de la suma total del precio pagado por

este producto o el precio para el apoyo del pro-

ducto recibido por Enraf-Nonius bajo un acuerdo

5. - MANEJO Y USO

• Ajuste el termostato en la temperatura deseada.

La temperatura dependerá del portador térmico

utilizado: parafina 55 °C, Paralingo® 60 - 70 °C,

Parafango Battaglia 60 °C.

• El baño de parafina puede utilizarse para:

• sumergir

• rociar

• untar

• Antes de aplicar el portador térmico, remuévalo

bien a fin de conseguir un calor uniforme.

• En caso de utilizar el baño para sumergir miem-

bros, el miembro debe ser sumergido 8 a 10 ve-

ces y a continuación debe ser envuelto en un

apósito calorífugo.

• En caso de utilizar el baño para rociar miembros,

el miembro ha de ser rociado con el portador

térmico y puede que también tenga que ser ex-

tendido con una brocha a fin de conseguir una

distribución uniforme. A continuación, el miem-

bro debe ser envuelto en un apósito calorífugo.

• En caso de utilizar el baño para untar miembros,

el portador térmico es aplicado con una brocha.

A continuación, el miembro es envuelto en un

apósito calorífugo.

• En algunas envolturas se puede usar un tejido

intermedio (Ej.: Parafoil®)

•Atención: la mayoría de los portadores térmi-

cos tienen una vida útil limitada. Aparte también

se recomienda cambiar el portador térmico con

regularidad por motivos higiénicos. En caso de

un uso intensivo le aconsejamos cambiar el por-

tador térmico cada semana. Para la vida útil, véa-

se el envase / prospecto del portador térmico.

Por favor infórmese de las normas locales para

no deshacerse del portador térmico.

6. - MANTENIMIENTO

• El soporte se puede limpiar con un paño húmedo

y un detergente líquido doméstico (no abrasivo).

• Para obtener piezas de recambio, puede poner-

se en contacto con su suministrador.

• Su baño de parafinacontiene materiales que pue-

den ser reciclados y otros que pueden ser nocivos

para el medio ambiente. Al final de la vida del equi-

po, empresas especialistas pueden coger su viejo

equipo y separar los materiales nocivos y los ma-
