Le recomendamos encarecidamente que
confíe la instalación, o por lo menos
el control de la instalación, de su Stûv
a un profesional cualificado que se
encarge sobre todo de verificar que las
características de la salida de humos
corresponden a las del hogar instalado.
Recepción del material
Con el hogar, recibirá usted :
– una bomba de pintura para
retoques
– una agarradera “tacto frío”
(foto 2 B) para la manipulación de la
puerta y del registro
– una agarradera metálica (foto 2 A)
para la fijación del flexible
¡ Atención !
Asegúrese de que el cristal no se haya
roto en el transcurso de su transporte,
puesto que la garantía sólo cubre
los deterioros producidos durante el
transporte si se notifican antes de que
hayan transcurrido 48 horas desde su
entrega.
La pintura no ha sido sometida a
una cocción al horno, por lo que
es relativamente frágil, pero se irá
endureciendo con los primeros usos ;
por consiguiente, hay que manipular
el aparato con precaución durante su
instalación.
Durante el primer encendido se pueden
producir algunos escapes de humo y
de olores, por lo que se recomienda

On taking delivery
of the equipment
You receive the fireplace with :
– a paint spray for repairs,
– a "cold" handgrip (photo 2 B) for
handling the door and the damper,
– a metal handgrip (photo 2 A) for
fixing the flexible pipe,
Caution !
Check that the window has not been
broken during delivery. In actual fact, the
guarantee only covers damage due to
transport if it is notified within 48 hours
of delivery.
The paint is not oven-baked and it is
therefore relatively fragile but will harden
when it is heated for the first few times.
Consequently, take care when handling
the appliance when it is being fitted.
When lighting the fire for the first time,
some unpleasant smoke or smells may be
released. Ventilate with a plentiful supply
of air.
We strongly emphasize our
recommendation that you should
entrust the installation of your Stûv (or
at any rate its inspection) to a skilled
professional, in particular so that he is
able to check that the characteristics of the
flue correspond to the fireplace installed.

En caso de reclamación, comunique
siempre el número del hogar (foto 4),
visible en el centro del cuerpo del
aparato, debajo del recuperador de
cenizas (foto 3 A) y envíe una copia de la
ficha de control final del hogar.
Entregue los documentos al usuario y
recuérdele que debe envíar el certificado
de garantía a Concept & Forme.
Colocación del Stûv 15
No selle el aparato en la mampostería
El hogar se debe colocar en un nicho, y
debe poderse retirar.
Para permitir dilataciones, así como para
evitar ruidos de chapa, hay que evitar
cualquier contacto entre el acabado de la
mampostería y el hogar.
Aislamiento del hogar :
ventajas y desventajas
Se pueden colocar aislantes térmicos
entre la mampostería y el hogar. De todas
maneras, se tomarán las precauciones
necesarias para evitar un recalentamiento
excesivo de las paredes y de los elemen-
tos de construcción cercanos al hogar
(por ejemplo, vigas de madera) y en el
momento de la colocación se aislarán
estos materiales según las reglas del oficio
y las normas vigentes, y en función de su
capacidad de resultar inflamables.
If you have a complaint to make, always
communicate the no. of the fireplace
(photo 4) which can be seen on the main
frame of the appliance, in the middle,
under the ash collector (photo 3 A) and
send a copy of the final inspection card
for the fireplace.
Hand the documents over to the user
and recommend that he should return
the certificate of guarantee to
Concept & Forme.
Installation of the Stûv 15
Do not bed the appliance in the
structure.
The fireplace must be placed in a recess
and be able to be taken out.
There must be no contact between the
finishing masonry and the fireplace to
allow it to dilate (and avoid the noise that
dilatation causes).
Insulating the fireplace :
The pros and cons
Thermal insulation can be placed
between the masonry and the fireplace.
In any case, all necessary precautions
should be taken to avoid excessive
heating of the walls and structural
elements close to the fireplace
(wooden beams, for example) :
these materials should be insulated to
professional standards in accordance with
the standards in force at the time the
fireplace is installed, according to their
degree of inflammability.

Ventajas :
– Reducción de las pérdidas de calor ;
esto sólo se justifica si el hogar se
apoya sobre un muro exterior. Si no
es el caso, el calor no se perderá,
sino que se disipará primero por la
mampostería, desde donde pasará a
las habitaciones adyacentes.
– Reducción de la temperatura máxima
si el aparato se encuentra cerca de
elementos inflamables.
Inconvenientes :
– Si el recinto de mampostería que
rodea el hogar no está realizado
perfectamente, de modo que sea
totalmente estanco, podrían hallarse
partículas de aislante en suspensión
en el aire de convección.
Recomendaciones :
Utilice preferentemente fibra cerámica
o paneles de lana mineral rígida cuyas
fibras estén aglomeradas por una materia
flexible.
Acoplamiento a la chimenea
Asegúrese de que las dimensiones del
conducto responden a las normativas
locales para una instalación según las
reglas del oficio y a las normas vigentes.
Algunas nociones elementales :
– Para que tire correctamente, el hogar
debe estar adaptado al conducto de la
chimenea (o a la inversa).
– El conducto debe ser tan recto como
sea posible.
– Una chimenea demasiado grande es
tan perjudicial como una chimenea
demasiado pequeña de cara al buen
funcionamiento del hogar.
– La solución ideal es un conducto
construído en el interior del edificio y
aislado térmicamente ; un conducto
exterior y sin aislamiento es comple-
tamente inadmisible.
Pros :
– to reduce heat losses. This is only
justified if the fireplace is placed with
the back against an outside wall. If
that is not the case, there will be no
heat loss. Heat will be dissipated into
the masonry then into the adjacent
rooms ;
– to reduce the peak temperature
if the fireplace is located close to
inflammable elements.
Cons :
– if the masonry enclosure built around
the fireplace is not perfectly tight,
particles of insulating material could
float in suspension in the convection
air.
Note :
It would be ideal to use ceramic fibre or
rigid rock-wool panels where the fibres
are agglomerated by a binder.
Connection to a chimney
Make sure that the flue size characteris-
tics meet local regulations for installation
according to the book and respecting the
standards in force.
Some rudimentary notions :
– For a correct draught, the fireplace
must be adapted to the flue (or
inversely).
– The flue will be as straight as possible.
– It is worth recalling that an oversized
chimney is as harmful to the smooth
operation of the fireplace as an
undersized chimney.
– The ideal solution is a flue built inside
the building and thermally insulated.
An outside flue pipe without any
insulation must be avoided.

Recomendaciones
– Para el acoplamiento propiamente

Recommendations
– For the actual connection, we
recommend the use of a stainless-
steel flue and a rigid one, if possible.
– Standard outlet diameter :

– Some chimney configurations may
require an other diameter than the
standard specified diameter. Please
consult Stûv.
– In all events, make sure that the body
of the appliance and the smoke outlet
are airtight.
– It is advisable to insulate the flue to
improve the draught and to avoid
condensation.
– If several flues are available (fig 5) :
- only use one of them
- block up the unused flues from top
to bottom and generally speaking
take care to see that the enclosure
in which the fireplace is fitted is
really tight to avoid cold air from
outside cooling the inside of the
house.
Before fitting the Stûv 15 in
position
6 To make work easier and to avoid
damaging the frame, we advise you
to remove it.
7 Open and remove the door by taking
it off its hinges.
8 Take out the deflector, which is merely
set on 4 brackets.
9 Unscrew the collar from the inside of
the fireplace using a no. 10 spanner.
10 Fix the collar on the flexible pipe with
a few self-drilling screws.

11 Introduzca el conjunto en el conducto
de la chimenea. Rellene de aislante
(A) el espacio entre el tubo flexible
y la mampostería y lleve a cabo la
estanqueidad (B).

14 Atornille desde el interior con una
llave del 10. Vuelva a colocar el
desvío.
Conexión eléctrica del
ventilador
15 Conecte el Stûv 15 a una toma de
220 V con toma de tierra, para la
mayor seguridad del aparato en caso
de intervenciones técnicas. Tenga
en cuenta que en la mampostería
deberá haber una regola para permitir
el paso del cordón del enchufe al
interior del nicho del hogar.
16 Retire el recuperador de cenizas.
17 Regule el termostato al 5, de manera
que la válvula de entrada del aire
del bloque técnico esté levantada al
máximo.
18 Libere el bloque técnico soltando los
tornillos.
11 Insert the whole piece into the flue.
Fill the gap between the flexible pipe
and the masonry with insulating
material (A) and make it all airtight
(B).
12 Place an iron-putty seal or a ceramic
cord around the circumference of the
upper opening of the fireplace.
13 Install the Stûv 15.
Do not forget to insert the electric
connection cable through one of
the side openings provided for that
purpose (see figure 15 and page
12, photo 20). Take out the collar
from the inside (with the handgrip
illustrated in photo 2 A) to apply it
correctly to the fireplace.
14 Screw from the inside using a no. 10
spanner. Put the deflector back in
place.
Electric connection of the fan
15 Connect the Stûv 15 to a 220 V
earthed plug so as to be certain to
cut off the power to the appliance
when technical interventions have to
be made. Provide for sheathing in the
masonry for passing the flex from the
plug inside the fireplace recess.
16 Take out the ash collector.
17 Set the thermostat to five so that the
air inlet valve of the technical unit is
raised to a maximum.
18 Release the technical unit by
loosening the screw.

19 Retire el bloque técnico.
20 Pase el cable de conexión que
viene de la toma de la pared por el
pasacables de caucho, bien por la
izquierda, bien por la derecha del
hogar.
21 Conecte este cable al conector.
No olvide conectar el cable de toma

22 Déle una cierta holgura al cable para
permitir un desmontaje posterior
(del chasis o del bloque técnico).
23 El Stûv 15 viene equipado con
un ruptor térmico (klixon) que
interrumpe la alimentación de los
ventiladores cuando mide una
temperatura insuficiente, o sea, en
el momento del encendido y cuando
el fuego se apaga. Esta función
aporta comodidad y economía
al usuario, pero es prudente no
interrumpir la ventilación si el hogar
está rematado por una viga de
madera, por ejemplo. El ruptor viene
cortocircuitado de fábrica. Si desea
interrumpir la ventilación al encender
y apagar el fuego, retire el by-pass
que está entre los dos bornes del
ruptor.
24 Vuelva a poner el bloque en su sitio,
cerciorándose de que el cable y el
conector están en posición correcta.
25 Presione, sin forzar, el centro del
bloque y vuelva a enroscar los dos
tornillos de presión.
26 Vuelva a colocar el recuperador
de cenizas. ¡ Cuidado con los
arañazos ! Monte la puerta y el
marco embellecedor.
19 Take out the technical unit.
20 Pass the connecting cable from
the wall plug through the rubber
grommet either to the left or to the
right of the fireplace.
21 Connect that cable to the connector.
It is essential to connect up the earth
wire.
22 Leave the cable slack to allow
subsequent removal (of the cassette
or the technical unit).
23 The Stûv 15 is equipped with a
thermal circuit-breaker (Klixon),
which interrupts the electricity supply
to the ventilators when it registers
an insufficient temperature, that is to
say, at the moment of lighting and
when the fire goes out. This system
offers the user greater comfort
and economy, but it is wiser not
to interrupt the ventilation if the
fireplace is topped by a wooden
beam, for example.
The circuit-breaker is short-circuited
in the factory. Remove the bypass
between the circuit-breaker's two
terminals if you want to interrupt the
ventilation when the fire is being lit
or is going out.
24 Push the unit back into position
making sure that the cable and
connector are put in the right place.
25 Press in the middle of the unit and,
without forcing, retighten the two
setscrews.
26 Put the ash collector back in place.
Watch out for the notches. Fit the
door and the finishing frame.

Los combustibles
¿ Qué madera elegir ?
Los diferentes tipos de maderas tienen
poderes caloríficos distintos y no arden
todas del mismo modo ; de manera
general, la mejor opción son las maderas
duras como el roble, el haya, el fresno, el
carpe y los frutales : producen una buena
llama, así como brasas abundantes y
que se mantienen incandescentes largo
tiempo.
El secado
Cualquiera que sea la madera elegida,
debe estar bien seca : la madera húmeda
calienta mucho menos, porque una
gran parte de la energía se consume en
la evaporación de agua que contiene.
La albura – que es como se denomina
la madera joven que está justo debajo
de la corteza – puede contener hasta
un 75% de agua. Además, la madera
húmeda produce gran cantidad de humo
y pocas llamas, lo que provoca suciedad
en el hogar, el cristal y la chimenea. Para
favorecer el secado, es importante partir
los leños grandes ; la madera debe estar
cubierta o al abrigo de la lluvia, pero
bien ventilada. En general, la madera
debe tener dos años de secado. Con la
experiencia, aprenderá usted a calibrar
el grado de sequedad sopesando los
troncos : cuanto más secos están, más
ligeros son, produciendo además un
sonido más claro cuando se los golpea
uno contra otro.
A evitar
No utilice maderas que han sido
sometidas a procesos químicos, traviesas
de ferrocarril, ni aglome-rados, que
ensucian rápidamente la chimenea y
pueden producir emanaciones tóxicas.
Fuel
Which wood should you choose ?
Different species of wood have different
heat capacities and they do not all burn
in the same way. Generally speaking, you
should opt for hard wood such as oak,
beech, ash, hornbeam or fruit trees. They
provide lovely flames and a lot of embers
which will glow for a long, long time.
Drying
Whatever wood you choose to use, it
must be really dry. Damp wood heats
a great deal less : a best part of energy
is only used to evaporate the water
that it contains. The sapwood – as the
soft wood just beneath the bark is
called – can contain up to 75% water.
Furthermore, moist wood releases a lot
of smoke and not many flames and it
causes the fireplace, its window and the
chimney to get dirty and soot up. The
big logs should be split for the wood
to dry better. The wood should be
covered or sheltered from the rain, but
well ventilated. Generally speaking, you
should allow two years for the wood to
dry properly. You will learn to estimate
the extent of drying from experience
by weighing the logs in your hand. The
drier they are, the lighter they are and
they make a clearer sound when you
knock them together.
Wood never to be used
Wood which has been treated with
chemicals, railway sleepers, or fibreboard,
which are quick to dirty the appliance
and soot up the chimney and may also
give off toxic fumes.

Beech (3)
Beech is a recommended wood for
heating purposes : it has a high heat
capacity, it dries quickly and it is easy
to find. It must be stored under cover
immediately after having been cut up
and split, otherwise it rots very quickly
and rapidly loses its heat capacity.
Oak (4)
Oak makes excellent fuel, but unlike
other wood, it must remain uncovered
for two years for the rain to wash away
the tannins that it contains. Next, it
will be stored under cover for a further
year or two before burning it. There
is a significant proportion of sapwood
(which burns too quickly) in small
branches.
Hornbeam (5), ash, fruit trees
Excellent fuel, but rare.

Birch (7)
Birch is a softwood from a broad-leaved
tree. It has a high heat capacity but
burns quickly. It should be used for
starting (or restarting) the fire.
Other soft broad-leaved trees
The lime tree, willow, chestnut tree and
poplar do not burn well and give off
little warmth.
Conifers
Conifers give off a lot of heat but they
burn quickly. They sputter embers and
the resins they contain foul up the
chimney. They should be avoided.
El haya (3)
Es una madera muy apropiada para la
combustión : tiene un poder calorífico
elevado, se seca rápidamente y es
fácil de encontrar. Se debe almacenar
bajo techado inmediatamente después
de talada y cortada , porque si no
suele pudrirse en seguida, y pierde
rápidamente su poder calorífico.
El roble (4)
Es un excelente combustible, pero,
al contrario de las demás maderas,
debe almacenarse sin cubrir durante dos
años para que la lluvia le despoje de los
taninos qu e contiene ; después hay que
mantenerlo bajo techado un año o dos
antes de quemarlo. Las ramas pequeñas
contienen una importante proporcion de
albura, que arde con demasiada rapidez.
El carpe (5), el fresno y los frutales
Excelentes combustibles, pero poco
habituales. Foto 6 : cerezo silvestre.
El abedul (7)
Es un árbol frondoso y de madera
blanda. Tiene un poder calorífico bastan-
te elevado, pero arde rápidamente : es
mejor utilizarlo para prender el fuego,
o para que vuelva a arder si se está
apagando.
Los demás árboles frondosos de
madera blanda
El tilo, el sauce, el castaño y el álamo
arden mal y calientan poco.
Las maderas resinosas
Desprenden mucho calor, pero se
consumen rápidamente ; proyectan
las brasas, y las resinas que contienen
ensucian las chimeneas. Se recomienda
evitar su uso.

Los hogares Stûv están concebidos para
uso doméstico, y en ningún caso se
deben utilizar para la incineración de
desechos de ningún tipo.
Encendido
Comience por prender bolas de papel y
astillas. Abra la parte delantera del
registro (foto 8) y deje la puerta entre-
bierta para evitar que los humos se
condensen en el cristal frío y dejen un
depósito de hollines.
Cuando las astillas hayan prendido bien,
vaya poniendo leña, empezando por
los trozos más pequeños, hasta que los
troncos empiecen a prender ; cierre la
puerta cuando el cristal tenga suficiente
temperatura.
Deje que el fuego prenda lo bastante
como para calentar el hogar, ajuste un
buen tiro y después regule el
termostato (foto 9) para lograr la marcha
deseada.
Observaciones importantes :
– El Stûv 15 está pensado para su
funcionamiento a puerta cerrada.
– El ruptor térmico (klixon) pone en
marcha el ventilador después de unos
20 minutos de funcionamiento, y
corta el circuito de alimentación de
los ventiladores cuando el fuego se
apaga. Este dispositivo debe ser
activado por el instalador en el
momento de la colocación del hogar.
Permite un funcionamiento más
cómodo y más económico ; le reco-
mendamos su desactivación si su
Stûv está rematado por una viga de
madera.
Stûv fireplaces are designed for
domestic use, in all events not to
incinerate waste, whatever it may be.
Lighting
First of all, set balls of paper and kindling
on fire. Open the front of the ashpan
(photo 8) and leave the door ajar to
avoid smoke fumes condensing on the
cold window and leaving a soot deposit.
When the kindling is blazing, load with
wood increasingly thick until the logs
can catch fire. Close the door again
when the window is warm enough.
Start the fire rather briskly to heat
the fireplace. See that there is a good
draught then set the thermostat
(photo 9) to obtain the required rate.
Important notes :
– The Stûv 15 is designed to operate
with the door closed.
– The thermal switch (klixon) actuates
the fan after ± 20 minutes’ working
and switches off the fan supply circuit
when the fire goes out. This system
should be activated by the installer
when the fireplace is being installed.
It makes possible more comfortable
and more economical operation. We
recommend that it be deactivated it
if the Stûv is topped by a wooden
beam.

Recarga del combustible
Antes de recargar, entreabra ligeramente
la puerta durante algunos instantes
(foto 9) para favorecer la evacuación de
los humos en la cámara de combustión.
Consumo máximo para evitar un sobre-
calentamiento : más o menos unos 3 kg
de leña por hora.
Matenimiento
Deje en el fondo del hogar un lecho de

retire la trampilla situada al fondo de la
cámara de combustión. Vacíe el exceso

utilice una pala o un aspirador de cenizas

Reloading with fuel
Before reloading, slightly half-open the
door for a few moments (photo 9), to
allow smoke fumes to flow into the
combustion chamber.
Maximum consumption to avoid over-
heating : 3 kg of wood per hour (for your
information).
Cleaning
Leave a bed of ashes at the bottom
of the fireplace since it encourages
combustion and still contains some fuel.
Take out the flap located in the bottom
of the combustion chamber, using the
cold handgrip. Empty the excess ashes
when there is a risk of cutting off the
supply of fresh air to the fire (photo 10
and 11).
Wait for the ashes to cool (use a shovel
or a vacuum cleaner for ashes) and be
careful to store them for a while outside,
in a metal bucket.
Cleaning the window
The door swivels so that its inner surface
can be cleaned.
– wait for it to cool down completely,
– use a spray foam as used for cleaning
oven windows (protect the painted
parts, floor covering, etc.),
– wipe clean to remove residue,
– finish, if necessary, with a window
cleaning product.

Cependant, comme utilisateur, vous avez également un rôle important
pour retirer de votre Stûv les satisfactions que vous en attendez.
Nous vous recommandons instamment :
- de confier son installation (ou en tout cas son contrôle) à un
professionnel qualifié qui pourra notamment vérifier que les
caractéristiques du conduit de fumées correspondent au foyer
installé,
- de lire attentivement le mode d’emploi et les consignes
d’entretien,
- de faire ramoner le conduit régulièrement (une fois par saison
de chauffe, pour une utilisation régulière) pour vous assurer un
fonctionnement optimal et une sécurité maximale.
Couverture de la garantie
Les foyers Stûv sont garantis contre :
- les défauts de fabrication,
- les défauts de peinture dans les parties visibles du foyer,
- le bris de vitre uniquement lorsqu’il survient lors de la première
mise à feu,
- les détériorations dues au transport à condition qu’elles soient
signalées dans les 48 heures de la livraison.
La présente garantie ne couvre pas les dommages causés au foyer
ni les défauts de fonctionnement dûs :
- à une installation non conformes aux règles de l’art et aux
instructions d’installation,
- à une utilisation anormale, non conforme aux indications du
mode d’emploi,
- à un manque d’entretien,
- à une cause extérieure telle qu’inondations, foudre, incendie…
La garantie est limitée à l’échange des éléments reconnus défectueux,
à l’exclusion de dommages et intérêts.
Conditions de la garantie
Le présent document doit nous avoir été renvoyé, dûment complété,
dans le mois qui suit la date de facture du vendeur à l’acquéreur.
Durée de la garantie
- 5 ans sur le corps du foyer
- 1 an sur les matériaux réfractaires, sur les composants électriques
(ventilateurs, thermostats, interrupteurs, câblage…), les grilles
de fond, les joints d’étanchéité, le mécanisme de porte, les
charnières, les poulies, les glissières, et les fermoirs.
La période de garantie prend cours à la date de facture du vendeur
à l’acquéreur. L’échange de pièces sous garantie ne prolonge pas la
durée de la garantie initiale.

Deze Stûv-haard werd ontworpen om u een maximum aan plezier,
comfort en veiligheid te bieden ; hij werd met de grootste zorg
vervaardigd uit materialen en componenten van hoge kwaliteit,
om jarenlang probleemloos te werken. Als hij ondanks onze
oplettendheid toch een defect zou vertonen, verbinden wij ons ertoe
dit te herstellen.
Ook u speelt als gebruiker een belangrijke rol in de feilloze werking
van uw Stûv, zodat hij u absolute voldoening schenkt. Wij raden u
ten stelligste aan :
- de installatie ervan (of zeker de controle) te laten uitvoeren
door een gekwalificeerd vakman, die onder meer kan nagaan
of de kenmerken van het rookkanaal overeenstemmen met de
geïnstalleerde haard,
- de gebruiksaanwijzing en de onderhoudsvoorschriften aandachtig
te lezen,
- het rookkanaal regelmatig (één keer per stookseizoen,
bij regelmatig gebruik) te laten schoonmaken, met het oog
op een optimale werking en een maximale veiligheid.
Dekking van de garantie
De Stûv-haarden zijn gewaarborgd tegen :
- productiefouten,
- lakfouten in de zichtbare delen van de haard,
- glasbreuk, maar alleen wanneer dit gebeurt bij het eerste
gebruik,
- schade als gevolg van het transport, op voorwaarde dat ze
binnen 48 uur na de levering wordt gemeld.
Deze garantie is niet van toepassing wanneer schade aan de haard of
een gebrekkige werking te wijten is aan :
- een installatie die niet is gebeurd volgens de regels van het vak
en de installatierichtlijnen,
- abnormaal gebruik, dat in strijd is met de gebruiksaanwijzing,
- gebrekkig onderhoud,
- een externe oorzaak zoals overstromingen, blikseminslag,
brand…
De garantie is beperkt tot de vervanging van elementen die defect
zijn bevonden, met uitsluiting van schadevergoeding.

Este fogão de sala Stûv foi concebido para lhe proporcionar o
máximo de prazer, conforto e segurança. O seu fabrico foi objecto de
todas as atenções, com materiais e componentes de qualidade para
funcionar anos a fio sem problemas. Se, apesar de toda a
nossa atenção, for detectado algum defeito, comprometemo-nos a
remediá-lo.
No entanto, como utilizador, deverá desempenhar igualmente um
papel importante para poder usufruir de todas as vantagens do seu
fogão de sala Stûv. Recomendamos-lhe insistentemente que :
- confie a sua instalação (ou, em todo o caso, o seu controlo)
a um profissional qualificado que poderá, nomeadamente,
verificar se as características da conduta de fumos correspondem
ao fogão de sala instalado,
- leia atentamente as instruções de instalação e de manutenção,
- mande limpar a conduta da chaminé regularmente (uma vez
por estação de aquecimento, em caso de utilização regular) para
garantir um funcionamento e segurança ideais.
Âmbito da garantia
Os fogões de sala Stûv são garantidos contra
- defeitos de fabrico,
- defeitos de pintura nas partes visíveis do fogão de sala,
- quebra do vidro, unicamente se ela ocorrer aquando do primeiro
acendimento,
- deteriorações devidas ao transporte, desde que sejam assinaladas
no prazo de 48 horas subsequentes à entrega.
A presente garantia não abrange os danos causados ao fogão
de sala nem os defeitos de funcionamento devidos
- a uma instalação não conforme às boas práticas nem
às instruções de instalação,
- a uma utilização anormal, não conforme às instruções
de utilização,
- à falta de manutenção,
- a uma causa externa, como inundações, raios, incêndio…
A garantia é limitada à troca dos elementos reconhecidos defeituosos,
excluindo danos e perdas.
Condições de garantia
O presente documento deve-nos ter sido reenviado, devidamente
preenchido, no mês seguinte ao da data da factura do vendedor ao
comprador.
Duração da garantia
- 5 anos para o conjunto do fogão de sala
- 1 ano para os materiais refractários, componentes eléctricos
(ventiladores, termóstatos, interruptores, cablagem, etc.),
grelhas do fundo, juntas de estanquecidade, mecanismo de
porta, charneiras, polias, corrediças e fechos.
O período de garantia entra em vigor na data de factura do
vendedor ao comprador. A troca de peças em garantia não
prolonga a duração da garantia inicial.

The Stûv fireplace was designed to offer you a maximum of pleasure,
comfort and safety. It was manufactured with the greatest care using
high-quality materials and components, so as to give you years of
trouble-free use. If, despite our best efforts, a problem
arises, we undertake to resolve the problem.
However, as user, you also have an important role in getting
the satisfaction that you expect from your Stûv fireplace.
We strongly recommend that you :
- entrust its installation (or, at any rate, its inspection) to a skilled
professional, in particular so that he is able to check that the
characteristics of the flue correspond to the fireplace installed,
- read carefully the directions for use and comply with the
instructions for maintenance,
- have the flue swept at regular intervals (once a heating
season, for regular use), in order to ensure optimal operation
and maximum safety.
Guarantee coverage
Stûv fireplaces are guaranteed against
- manufacturing defects,
- painting defects in the visible portions of the fireplace,
- breakage of glass : only if it occurs when lighting the fire for
the first time,
- damage due to transport if it is notified within 48 hours of
delivery.
This guarantee does not cover the damages caused to the fireplace
or operational defects due
- to installation that does not conform to industry practice and
to the installation instructions,
- abnormal use that does not conform to the instructions for use,
- failure to perform maintenance,
- an outside cause, such as floods, lightning, fire, etc.
The guarantee is limited to the exchange of those parts that are
recognised as defective, to the exclusion of any damages.

one month following the date of the invoice from the vendor to the
buyer.
