SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
• Read all instructions.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE FIRST USE
• Read this guide, taking special note of the
“safety instructions” section.
• Remove any packaging, protective fi lms or
warning sticker that may be on the grill.
• Wipe the grill with a soft, dry cloth to remove
any dust.

Note: The left control knob will set the temperature
for the left grill. The right control knob will set the
temperature for the right grill.

DRIP TRAY
The drip tray will collect any oil or fat that is
generated during cooking.
Be careful when removing the drip try as the tray
and contents could be very hot. Gently pull the drip
tray to remove it from the grill. Empty and rinse the
drip tray before replacing in the grill.
OPERATION
1. Prepare the food you intented to grill before
turning the grill on. Cut the food to a maximum
2.5 cm (1 inch) thickness.
2. Connect the grill to the power outlet.
3. Add a thin coating of oil or butter while
preheating. Do not use low-fat oil as this may
cause burning.
4. Turn the temperature control knob to the desired
temperature. The power light will illuminate to
indicate the grill is heating.
5. The light will turn off when the grill reaches the
selected temperature. Food can be placed on the
grill once preheating is complete.
WARNING: ALWAYS USE A MEAT THERMOMETER
TO ENSURE THAT MEAT, POULTRY AND FISH ARE
COOKED THOROUGHLY BEFORE EATING.
Important Temperature Note
The USDA recommends that meats should be
cooked to the following internal temperatures to
ensure food is cooked thoroughly.
• Beef / lamb: 145°F
• Pork: 160°F
• Poultry: 170 - 180°F
• Reheating poultry: 165°F

• Cooking times are suggestions and may vary depending on the thickness of the food and personal
preferences.
• Foods can be grilled at maximum temperature however you may wish to reduce the temperature for
certain items.
• Low temperatures will keep food warm once cooked.

COOKING NOTES
• Do not place or remove food from the grill with
bare hands. The grill and the food could be hot.
Always use tongs or another cooking utensil to
place, turn or remove food from the grill.
• Do not place cooking utensils on the grill when
in use.
• Do not place paper, cardboard or plastic on the
grill.
• Cooking time can vary based on the type and
amount of food being cooked. In general, the
recommended cooking time is between 10 - 15
minutes.
• Check and turn food regularly to ensure even
cooking.
• When the food is fi nished cooking, ensure the
temperature control knobs are turned off and the
grill is unplugged.
• Use caution when grilling fatty meats like
sausage, as spattering of fat can occur.
• Always place food on the grill plate. Never
place food directly on the heating element inside
the grill.
• Do NOT cover any part of the grill with metal
foil as this will cause the grill to overheat.
• Do NOT use charcoal or wood with this grill.
• Do NOT pour liquids such as beer or water onto
the grill, as this could cause a fi re.

• Never use the grill without the grill plate or drip
tray in place. Always put the grill plate and drip
tray on the grill before you plug it in and switch
on.
• Do NOT use the grill if the drip tray is warped in
any way.
• Some counter top and table surfaces, such
as Corian-style counter tops, wood and/
or laminates, are not designed to withstand
prolonged heat generated from this grill. Place
a hot pad or trivet under the grill to prevent
possible damage to counter tops.
• Do NOT attempt to cut food while it is grilling.
CLEANING
Unplug the grill and allow it to cool completely
before any cleaning.
The drip tray and grill pans can be removed from
the appliance to be cleaned separately. They can
be hand washed in hot, soapy water or they can be
placed in the top rack of a dishwasher.
Ensure the parts are completely dry before putting
the grill back together.
Do not submerge the grill body in water or other
liquids. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or
solvents.
LIMITED IN-HOME APPLIANCE WARRANTY
This quality product is warranted to be free from manufacturer’s defects in material and workmanship, provided that the unit is used under the normal operating
conditions intended by the manufacturer.
This warranty is available only to the person to whom the unit was originally sold by Danby Products Limited (Canada) or Danby Products Inc. (U.S.A.) (hereafter
“Danby”) or by an authorized distributor of Danby, and is non-transferable.
TERMS OF WARRANTY
Plastic parts, are warranted for thirty (30) days only from purchase date, with no extensions provided.
First Year
During the rst twelve (12) months, any functional parts of this product found to be defective, will be repaired or replaced, at warrantor’s
option, at no charge to the ORIGINAL purchaser.

Danby reserves the right to limit the boundaries of “In Home Service” to the proximity of an Authorized Service Depot. Any app liance

requiring service outside the limited boundaries of “In Home Service” , it will be the consumer’s responsibility to transport the appliance (at
their own expense) to the original retailer (point of purchase) or a service depot for repair. See “Boundaries of In Home Serv ice” below.
Contact your dealer from whom your unit was purchased, or contact your nearest authorized Danby service depot, where service
must be performed by a qualied service technician.
If service is performed on the units by anyone other than an authorized service depot, or the unit is used for commercial appli cation, all
obligations of Danby under this warranty shall be void.

under any Sale of Goods Act or like legislation or statue is hereby expressly excluded. Save as herein provided, Danby shall no t be responsible for any damages
to persons or property, including the unit itself, howsoever caused or any consequential damages arising from the malfunction o f the unit and by the purchase of
the unit, the purchaser does hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Danby from any claim for damages to persons or propert y caused by the unit.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
No warranty or insurance herein contained or set out shall apply when damage or repair is caused by any of the following:
1) Power failure.
2) Damage in transit or when moving the appliance.
3) Improper power supply such as low voltage, defective house wiring or inadequate fuses.
4) Accident, alteration, abuse or misuse of the appliance such as inadequate air circulation in the room or abnormal operating con ditions
(extremely high or low room temperature).
5) Use for commercial or industrial purposes (ie. If the appliance is not installed in a domestic residence).
6) Fire, water damage, theft, war, riot, hostility, acts of God such as hurricanes, oods etc.
7) Service calls resulting in customer education.
8) Improper Installation (ie. Building-in of a free standing appliance or using an appliance outdoors that is not approved for out door application).
Proof of purchase date will be required for warranty claims; so, please retain bills of sale. In the event warranty service is required, present this document to our
AUTHORIZED SERVICE DEPOT.

INSTRUCTIONS D’UTILISATION
AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION
• Lisez ce guide en prenant particulièrement en
compte la section «consignes de sécurité».
• Retirez tout emballage, fi lm protecteur ou
autocollant d’avertissement pouvant se trouver
sur le gril.
• Essuyez la grille avec un chiffon doux et sec
pour enlever toute la poussière.

BAC DE RÉCUPÉRATION
Le plateau d’égouttage recueillera toute huile ou
graisse générée pendant la cuisson.
Soyez prudent lorsque vous retirez le goutte-à-
goutte, car le plateau et son contenu peuvent être
très chauds. Tirez doucement sur le bac d’égouttage
pour le retirer du gril. Videz et rincez le bac
d’égouttage avant de le remettre dans le gril.
OPÉRATION
1. Préparez les aliments que vous aviez l’intention
de griller avant d’allumer le gril. Couper les
aliments à une épaisseur maximale de 2,5 cm (1
pouce).
2. Branchez le gril à la prise de courant.
3. Ajouter une fi ne couche d’huile ou de beurre
pendant le préchauffage. N’utilisez pas d’huile
faible en gras car cela peut provoquer des
brûlures.
4. Tournez le bouton de réglage de la température
à la température désirée. Le voyant
d’alimentation s’allumera pour indiquer que le
gril chauffe.
5. Le voyant s’éteint lorsque le gril atteint la
température sélectionnée. Les aliments peuvent
être placés sur le gril une fois le préchauffage
terminé.

THERMOMÈTRE À VIANDE POUR VOUS ASSURER
QUE LA VIANDE, LA VOLAILLE ET LE POISSON

NOTES DE CUISINE
• Ne placez pas et ne retirez pas les aliments
du gril à mains nues. Le grill et la nourriture
pourraient être chauds. Utilisez toujours des
pinces ou un autre ustensile de cuisson pour
placer, retourner ou retirer les aliments du gril.
• Ne placez pas d’ustensiles de cuisine sur le gril
pendant l’utilisation.
• Ne placez pas de papier, de carton ou de
plastique sur le gril.
• Le temps de cuisson peut varier en fonction du
type et de la quantité d’aliments à cuire. En
général, le temps de cuisson recommandé se
situe entre 10 et 15 minutes.
• Vérifi ez et retournez régulièrement les aliments
pour assurer une cuisson uniforme.
• Lorsque la cuisson des aliments est terminée,
assurez-vous que les boutons de contrôle de
la température sont éteints et que le gril est
débranché.
• Soyez prudent lorsque vous faites griller des
viandes grasses comme des saucisses, car des
éclaboussures de graisse peuvent se produire.
• Placez toujours les aliments sur la plaque du
gril. Ne placez jamais d’aliments directement
sur l’élément chauffant à l’intérieur du gril.
• Ne recouvrez AUCUNE partie du gril avec du
papier d’aluminium car cela provoquerait une
surchauffe du gril.
• N’utilisez PAS de charbon de bois ou de bois
avec ce gril.
• Ne versez PAS de liquides tels que de la
bière ou de l’eau sur le gril, car cela pourrait
provoquer un incendie.

• N’utilisez jamais le gril sans la plaque de gril ou
le bac d’égouttage en place. Placez toujours la
plaque du gril et le bac d’égouttage sur le gril
avant de le brancher et de l’allumer.
• N’utilisez PAS le gril si le plateau d’égouttage
est déformé de quelque façon que ce soit.
• Certaines surfaces de comptoir et de table, telles
que les comptoirs de style Corian, le bois et/ou

BANDEJA DE GOTEO
La bandeja de goteo recogerá cualquier aceite o
grasa que se genere durante la cocción.
Tenga cuidado al retirar el goteo, ya que la
bandeja y el contenido pueden estar muy calientes.
Tire suavemente de la bandeja de goteo para
sacarla de la parrilla. Vacíe y enjuague la bandeja
de goteo antes de volver a colocarla en la parrilla.
OPERACIÓN
1. Prepare la comida que tenía la intención de
asar a la parrilla antes de encender la parrilla.
Corte la comida a un grosor máximo de 2,5 cm
(1 pulgada).
2. Conecte la parrilla a la toma de corriente.
3. Agregue una capa fi na de aceite o mantequilla
mientras precalienta. No use aceite bajo en
grasa, ya que esto puede causar quemaduras.
4. Gire la perilla de control de temperatura a la
temperatura deseada. La luz de encendido se
iluminará para indicar que la parrilla se está
calentando.

similar, quedan de esta forma expresamente excluidas. Salvo lo aquí indicado, Danby no serán responsables por ningún daño a
personas o bienes, incluyendo la propia unidad, sin importar su causa, o de ningún daño indirecto causado por el desperfecto de la
unidad, y al comprar esta unidad, el comprador acepta por la presente, indemnizar y proteger a Danby contra cualquier reclamo
por daños a personas o bienes causados por la unidad.
CONDICIONES GENERALES
No se considerará ninguna de estas garantías o seguros cuando el daño o la necesidad de reparación sea el producto de los
siguientes casos:
1) Falla del suministro eléctrico.
2) Daños en tránsito o durante el transporte de la unidad.
3) Alimentación incorrecta, como bajo voltaje, instalación eléctrica defectuosa o fusibles inadecuados.
4) Accidente, modificación, abuso o uso incorrecto del artefacto, tal como insuficiente ventilación del ambiente o condiciones de
operación anormales (temperatura ambiente extremadamente alta o baja).
5) Utilización comercial o industrial (v.g., si el electrodoméstico no está instalado en una vivienda particular).
6) Incendio, daños por agua, robo, guerra, disturbios, hostilidades, actos de fuerza mayor como huracanes, inundaciones, etc.
7) Pedidos de servicio debido a desinformación del usuario.
8) Instalación inadecuada (v.g., instalación de un electrodoméstico independiente o uso de un aparato al aire libre que no esté
aprobado para aplicaciones en exteriores, incluyendo pero no limitado a: garajes, patios, porches o cualquier lugar que no esté bien
aislado o controlado por el clima).
Se requerirá una prueba de la fecha de compra para reclamaciones de garantía; conservar las facturas de venta. En el caso de que
se requiera servicio de garantía, presente el comprobante de compra a nuestro depósito de servicio autorizado.
