3 Description
The Sightline riescopes are designed for observation and shooting in twilight
or nighttime. In complete darkness (no stars or the Moon) use of the built-in
LED IR Illuminator with 850nm or 940nm wavelength (invisible range) is highly
recommended.
Your riescope is a versatile device designed for a wide range of professional
and amateur applications such as hunting, sports shooting, night video record-
ing and observation.

7 Guidelines for Operation
The riescope has been designed for long-term use. To ensure long perfor-
mance, please adhere to the following:
Before use make sure that you have installed and xed the mount according
to the instructions of the section “Installation of mount”.
Store with the lens cover on in the carrying case.
Turn the scope off after use.
The riescope is not designed for submersion.
Attempts to disassemble or repair the scope will void the warranty!
The riescope can be used in various operating temperatures. However, if it
has been brought indoors from cold temperatures, do not turn it on for 3 to 4
hours. This will prevent external optical surfaces from fogging.
If the scope is unable to mount onto the rie securely, or you have doubts
about the mounting system, see a qualied gunsmith. Using the weapon with
a poorly mounted scope can lead to inaccurate target shooting!
To ensure reliable performance, it is recommended to carry out regular
technical inspections of the unit.
To ensure optimal image in the daytime, the lens cover with integrated lter
must be closed.
8 Rechargeable Battery
Warning! To ensure longer operating time for your riescope, we suggest using
the supplied rechargeable DNV Battery Pack (BP)(included).

Install into the charging container (A) the BP (B) observing polarity. Battery
Packs contacts (C) must match the container’s contacts (D).
Make sure that the BP’s lever is the “OPEN” position.
Press the Battery Pack cover and turn the Battery Pack lever (E) 90 degrees
clockwise.
Plug the mains charger (F) into a socket 100-240V. The indicator on the
charger will glow red. After full charge the indicator will change its color to
green. Remove the charger from the socket.
Install the BP all the way in as shown, turn the BP’s lever.
The device is ready for operation.

Only use the charger supplied with the Battery Pack. The use of another
charger may irreparably damage the Battery Pack or the charger and may
cause re.
Never use a modied or damaged charger.
Charging current and voltage must comply with the parameters outlined in
the specications table.
Charge the Battery Pack at a temperature ranging from 0 °C to +45 °C.
Do not leave the Battery Pack with a charger connected to the mains longer
than 24 hours after full charge.
Do not leave the battery unattended when charging!

Precautions


Do not expose to, dispose of the Battery Pack in re.
The Battery Pack is not water-resistant.
Battery packs are short circuit protected. However, situation which may
cause short circuit should be avoided.
Do not dismantle or deform the Battery Pack.
Keep out of reach of children.
Storage and maintenance
Store the Battery Pack in a cool, dry, well-aerated place.
Store the Battery Pack in a charged condition.
Remove the Battery pack from NV device during storage/transportation.

To use “AA” type batteries, please purchase an accessory “Yukon DNV Battery
Holder” (SKU#29116).

The use of regular (non-rechargeable) batteries drastically reduces rie-
scope’s operating time.
Turn the knob of the battery compartment cover (7) 90° counterclockwise to
the Open position and remove the battery container by raising it by its lug.
Slide in four АА batteries so that the “+” and “-” match the polarity on the
compartment.
Insert the battery compartment into its place and turn the knob 90°
clockwise (see section “External View and Components”).
Warning!
To prevent short circuit, do not carry the battery Pack outside its pouch in a
pocket, especially together with metal objects.
9 Operation
Installation of mount
Before using the riescope you need to install a mount (12) (Pic. 4) (may not be
included).
The mounting holes in the base of the riescope enable the mount to be
installed in one of the multiple positions. The choice of the mounting position
helps the user to ensure the correct eye relief depending on the rie type.
Attach the mount to the base of the riescope using a hex-nut wrench and
screws.
Install the riescope on the rie and check if the position is suitable for you.
If you are happy with its position, remove the riescope, unscrew the screws
halfway, apply some thread sealant onto the thread of the screws and
tighten them fully (suggested torque power is 2-3Nm). Let the sealant dry for
a while.
The riescope is ready to be installed on a rie and to be zeroed.
After rst installation of your riescope on a rie, please follow instructions
in the section “Zeroing.
Powering on and image setup
Open the lens cover (2).
Turn the riescope on with a short press of the ON (4) button. Image appears
on the display in several seconds.
To turn off the display during operation, press and hold down the ON button
longer than one second.
Turned off display will show a message “Display off”.
To turn on the display, press briey the ON button.
To turn off the riescope, press and hold down the ON button longer than
three seconds. Display will show a message “Display off” and a countdown
from 3 to 1 sec, and will turn off upon countdown expiration.

Rotate the dioptre adjustment ring (5) to see a crisp image of the aiming
reticle and the status bar icons. Once this adjustment is done, there is
no need to rotate the dioptre adjustment ring for distance or any other
conditions.
Point the riescope at an object located at a certain distance (20-30 m for
example).
Rotate the lens focus knob (9) to see a crisp image of the object observed.
To adjust image brightness: enter the quick menu with a brief press of the
controller (3).
Rotate the controller clockwise – to increase brightness level,
counterclockwise – to decrease it. Range is from 0 to 20.
To improve image quality in low light conditions or in complete darkness,
turn on the built-in IR Illuminator (10). Please refer to section 10 to read
about IR Illuminator operation.
10 Built-in IR Illuminator
The riescope is equipped with a built-in IR Illuminator featuring a wavelength
of 940 nm or 850nm.
Using the IR llluminator:
Turn the riescope on with a short press of the ON (4) button.
Turn the IR Illuminator on with a brief press of the IR (11) button. Status bar
will show icon
.
To switch between IR power levels press briey the IR button ( ).
To turn the IR Illuminator off, hold down the IR button. Icon will disappear.
Notes:
IR Illuminator is not focusable.
IR Illuminator keeps operating when the display is off.
IR Illuminator’s heat sink becomes hot: this is normal and is not a defect.


11 Continuous Digital ZOOM
This function allows you to change digital zoom value continuously within a
certain range.
Enter the quick menu with a brief press of the controller (3).
Select option with brief presses of the controller .
Change the continuous zoom value by rotating the controller.

Full magnication value will be shown in the quick menu and in the status bar
in the lower part of the display.
Note: scalable ballistic reticles are scaled as the digital zoom changes.
12 Zeroing
The riescope features two zeroing methods - “one shot” zeroing and using
FREEZE function. Zeroing should be done at operating temperatures, by follow-
ing the order of these steps:
Mount the rie with the riescope installed on a bench rest.
Set a target at a certain distance.
Adjust the riescope according to the instructions of section 9 
Powering on and image setup”.
Select the zeroing prole (see main menu option  )
Aim the rearm at the target and take a shot.
If the point of impact does not match the aiming point (centre of the
riescope’s reticle), hold down the controller (3) button to enter the main
menu.
Enter the submenu “Zeroing” by rotating the controller. Press the
controller to conrm.
Set the zeroing distance value (see main menu option “Zeroing”
=> submenu Adding new distance”
).
Additional menu for zeroing parameters setup appears on the
display.
An auxiliary cross appears in the centre of display, and
coordinates of the auxiliary cross X and Y appear in the top right
corner (Pic. 5).
Select icon by rotating the controller. Press the controller
to conrm.
Holding the reticle in the aiming point, rotate the controller to
move the auxiliary cross horizontally or vertically relative to the
reticle until the auxiliary cross matches the point of impact.

Switch between movement

Save the new position of the reticle with a long press of controller. The
reticle will now move to the point of impact.
To defrost an image, select the “FREEZE” submenu and briey press the
controller or briey press the ON button, or exit the zeroing menu.
Exit the zeroing menu with a long press of controller.
Message “Zeroing coordinates saved” conrms successful operation.
After exiting the menu, take another shot - the point of impact should now
match the aiming point.
13 Quick Menu
The Quick menu allows to manage basic riescope’s settings
(display brightness and contrast, continuous digital zoom, stadi-
ametric rangender) and change zeroing distance (if several are
available) in the current shooting prole.
Enter the quick menu with a brief press oft he controller (3).
To toggle between the functions below, rotate the controller.
To exit the quick menu press and hold down the controller.
Automatic exit takes place in 5 sec of inactivity (controls are not used).
Brightness
– rotate the controller to change display brightness from 00
to 20.
Contrast
– rotate the controller to change display contrast from 00 to 20.

, at which zero-
ing was done in this prole (for example, prole A, zeroing distance 100m).
Toggle between available combination of prole and distance (if there are
more than one) zeroing distances by rotating the controller.
Continuous Digital zoom
Rotate the controller to change digital zoom value.
Change step for digital zoom is 0.2x or 0.5x depending on the selected zoom
value.


14 Main Menu
Enter the main menu with a long press of the controller (3).
Toggle between main menu options by rotating the controller.
Main menu navigation is cyclical: as soon as the last menu option is reached,
rst menu option starts.
Enter a submenu of the main menu with a short press of the controller.
Exit the submenu with a long press of the controller.
Exit the main menu with a long press of the controller.
Automatic exit takes place in 10 sec of inactivity.
Upon exit from the menu the cursor location
is memorized only for
the duration of the working session (i.e. until the unit is turned off). Upon
restarting the riescope and entering the menu, the cursor will be located on
the rst menu option

This main menu option allows you to select between one of the three proles.
Each prole includes the following:
Set of distances with zeroing coordinates for each.
Reticle color
Reticle type
Various proles can be used when employing the riescope on different ries
and when shooting different cartridges.
Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option .
Press briey the controller to enter.
Select one of the zeroing proles (shown with letters A; B; C) by rotating the
controller.
Conrm you selection with a short press of the controller.
The name of a selected prole is displayed in the status bar.
Graphics brightness
Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option
.
Press briey the controller to enter.
Rotate the controller to set the desired brightness level (of the menu
and status bar icons) from 1 to 10.
Press briey the controller to conrm.
Function PiP
PiP (“Picture in Picture”) allows you to see a zoomed image simultaneously
with the main image in a dedicated window.
Turn on/off the PiP function:
Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option PiP. Press briey the controller to
conrm selection.
The zoomed image is displayed in a dedicated window, with the full
magnication being shown.
The rest of the image is displayed only with the optical magnication which
equals to x1.0.
When PiP is turned on, you can manage the continuous zoom. The full
magnication will be shown only in the dedicated window.
When PiP is turned off, the display shows the full magnication set for the
PiP mode.
Reticle setup
This main menu option allows you to select reticle shape, color and brightness.

Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option “Reticle setup. Press briey the
controller.
Select the desired reticle shape out of the list by rotating the controller. The
reticle types change as the cursor goes down the reticle list.
Conrm you selection with a short press of the controller.

Reticle color
Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option “Reticle setup. Press briey the
controller.
Rotate the controller to select option Reticle color”. Press briey the
controller.
Select the desired reticle color: black or white by rotating the controller.
Conrm your selection with a brief press of the controller.
Reticle brightness
Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option “Reticle setup. Press briey
the controller.
Rotate the controller to select option Reticle brightness”. Press
briey the controller.
Set the desired reticle brightness from 0 to 10 by rotating the
controller.
Conrm your selection with a brief press of the controller.
Zeroing
Adding new distance
To zero your riescope, you need to set a zeroing distance rst.
You can zero your riescope at any distance ranging from 1 to 910m (1 to 955
yards).
Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option . Press briey the controller to
enter.
Rotate the controller to select option “Add new distance” .
Set the values for each digit by rotating the controller. Switch between the
digits with a short press of the controller.
Having set the desired distance, hold down the controller to save it.
The distance you set rst becomes a primary distance – shown with icon
on the right to the distance value.
Note: max. number of zeroing distances is 5 for each prole.
Operating the distances
Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option . Press briey the controller to
enter.

Enter the option “Operating the distances” and enter it with a
short press of the controller – distances at which zeroing has
been done will be shown.
The values (for example, +7.0) shown on the right of the distance values,
stand for the number of clicks along the Y axis, at which the reticle position
at other distances differs from the reticle position in the primary distance.
To re-zero at any distance, select the desired distance and press briey the
controller.
Zeroing screen which allows the change of zeroing coordinates will appear.

Select a non-primary distance and enter the menu option for operating the
distances with a short press of the controller.
Select icon
– primary distance.
Press briey the controller.
Icon
next to the selected distance conrms the change of primary
distance.
Upon change of the primary distance, the number of clicks along the Y axis
will be re-calculated automatically for the number of clicks different from
the new basic distance.
Deleting added distance
Select the distance you wish to delete and enter the submenu for operating
the distances with a short press of the controller.
Select item “delete distance”.
Select “Yes” in the dialog box to delete a distance. “No” – to cancel deletion.
When selecting “Yes” you go to the submenu “List of distances”; “No” –
return to the previous screen “operating the distances”.
Attention! If the primary distance is deleted, the rst distance on the list
automatically becomes the new primary distance.
Additional menu for zeroing parameters setup
Having selected a zeroing distance and having entered the menu
option, the display shows the following
Windage/Elevation correction
Magnication
Zeroing with the FREEZE function
Edit distance title
Additional menu option “Windage/Elevation correction” allows
you to correct the reticle position.
For detailed description of the reticle position correction please refer to
section 12 “Zeroing”.

This submenu allows you to increase the riescope’s digital zoom when
zeroing which reduced the click value this improving accuracy of zeroing.
Having selected a zeroing distance and having entered the submenu, select
submenu  with a short press of the controller.
Select the digital zoom value (i.e. 3x) by rotating the controller.
Conrm you selection with a short press of the controller.

Freeze
Function FREEZE is designed to zero your riescope.
The highlight of the function is that, unlike in the “one shot zeroing” method,

Having selected a zeroing distance and having entered the menu option,
enter the submenu FREEZE with a short press of the M button or press briey
the ON button when in the zeroing mode.
Press briey the controller - a screen shot (image freezing) will be made –

Edit distance title
This submenu allows you to change the value of the current distance.
Having selected a zeroing distance and having entered the submenu, enter
the submenu “Edit distance title” with a short press of the controller.
Select values for each digit by rotating the controller. Toggle between the
digits with a short press of the controller.
Conrm you selection with a long press of the controller.
Sensors
This option includes two menu options – Auto shutdown” and “Side incline”.
Function “Auto shutdown
This option allows you to activate automatic shutdown, which recognizes
whether your riescope is in a shooting position. Automatic shutdown is actu-
ated after you move the riescope relative to the optical axis:
Upwards > 70°; Downwards >70°; Leftwards >30°; Rightwards >30°
Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option Sensors”, Press briey the controller.
Rotate the controller to select option “Auto shutdown”. Press briey the
controller.
Rotate the controller to select the time period (1 min, 3 min, 5 min) upon
expiry of which the riescope will automatically shut down. Select “Off” if
you wish to desactive Auto shutdown.
Conrm your selection with a brief press of the controller.
Note: if the function is activated, respective icons on the status bar show the
status of the function:
1 min.
Function “Side incline”
This option allows you to activate/deactivate the side (horizontal) incline of
the weapon.
Side incline is indicated by “sector” arrows on the edges of the horizontal line
of the reticle. Arrows show the direction in which you should move your rie to
eliminate side incline.
There are three modes of side incline:
-10° - one sector arrow;
10°-20° - two sector arrow;
>20° - three sector arrow.
A side incline of less than 5° is not shown on the display.


Rotate the controller to select option Sensors”. Press briey the controller.
Rotate the controller to select option Side incline”.
Select “On” by rotating the controller to activate side incline; “Off” to
deactivate.
Conrm your selection with a brief press of the controller.
General settings
Interface language selection
Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option “General settings”.
Press briey the controller to enter the menu item.
Rotate the controller to select option Language”.
Select one of the available interface languages by rotating the controller:
English, French, German, Spanish, Russian.
Switch between languages by rotating the controller.
Save selection and exit the submenu with a long press of the controller.
Date setup
Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option “General settings”.
Press briey the controller (3) to enter the menu item.
Rotate the controller to select option Date”.
Press briey the controller (3) to enter the menu item “Date”.
Date format is displayed as: YYYY/MM/DD (example 2018/10/24).
Select the correct values for the year, month and date with a short press of
the controller.
Switch between digits with a short press of the controller.
Save selected date and exit the submenu with a long press of the controller.
Time setup
Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option “General settings”.
Press briey the controller (3) to enter the menu item.
Rotate the controller to select option “Time”. Press briey the controller.
Select the desired time format - 24 or PM/AM - with a short press of the
controller:
Switch to hour setup with a short press of controller.
Select hour value by rotating the controller.
Switch to minute setup with a short press of controller.
Select minute value by rotating the controller.
Save selected date and exit the submenu with a long press of the M button.
Selection of units of measurement
Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option “General settings”.
Rotate the controller to select option Units of measurement”. Press briey
the controller.

Rotate the controller to select unit of measurement – metres or yards, press
briey the controller.
Exit to “General settings” will take place automatically.
Note: unit of measurement is used both for the stadiametric rangender and
the zeroing distances.
When changing the unit of measurement, distance titles change too.
Restore default settings
Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option “General settings”.
Press briey the controller to enter the menu option.
Rotate the controller to select option “Restore default settings”. Press
briey the controller.
Rotate the controller to select “Yesto restore default settings or “No” to abort.
Conrm selection with a short press of the M button.
If “Yes” is selected, display will show “Return default settings?” and “Yes”
and “No” options. Select “Yes” to restore default settings. Press briey the
controller to conrm.
If “No” is selected, action is aborted and you return to the submenu.
The following settings will be restored to their original values before changes
made by the user:
Display brightness – 10
Zeroing prole – А
Reticle selection – 1
Reticle color – black
Reticle brightness – 5
Interface language – English
Zoom - optical; digital zoom off
Unit of measurement – metric
Side incline – off
Auto shutdown – off
IR Illuminator – off
User data (such as zeroing and distance proles), date/time settings are saved
in riescope’s memory.
Device information
Hold down the controller (3) to enter the main menu.
Rotate the controller to select option “Device information”. Press briey the
controller.
This option allows the user to view the following information about the
riescope:
Full name
SKU number
serial number
software version
hardware version
service information
