INSTALLER SECTION
1.2 Receiving the product
After unpacking, make sure the appliance has not been damaged due to transport. Otherwise, report the
anomaly to the dealer. If it aff ects safety, do not install the appliance.
Double check the rm tightness of all hose-clamps on piping, nuts and bolts, and fasteners, that might
come loose with the transport, to prevent water dripping or leakages, or other damages, during the
machine's operation.
For disposal of the packing, see chap. 8.
1.3 Water connection
Connect the machine's water supply with an interrupt valve capable of quickly and completely shutting off
water intake.
Make sure the water supply pressure is within the values given in table 1.
If is below 2 bar dynamic pressure (200 kPa), for optimal machine operation it is advisable to
install an external pressure increase pump. If the supply pressure is higher than 4 bar (400
KPa), installation of a pressure reducer is recommended.
A water softener must be installed for waters with average hardness above 8°f.
This will ensure cleaner dishes and longer machine life.
Every machine is supplied with a rubber hose for water lling with 3/4"F threaded connection.
It is advisable to connect the hose to a water supply not above 60°C, if connected to the
hot water.
Connect the drain hose, supplied with the machine, to the elbow union located under the
tank in such a way that water fl ows freely (therefore ensuring a minimum slope).
If the water cannot be discharged to a level below the machine drain (see pict. 1), it is
advisable to purchase a machine with built-in drain pump.
The drain hose must always be connected to a trap to prevent the return of odours from the
system.
1.3.1 Water supply characteristics
The machine water supply must be potable, in compliance with Directive 98/83/EC.
The inlet water must also meet the parameters given in the table 2.
1 Out of range values might lead to corrosion and jeopardize the life of the machine.
2 Should the water hardness is higher
it is compulsory to install a water softner and check periodically its operation.
3 Out of range values might lead scaling and sediments with a consequent lower performance, functionality, and expected
life of the machine.
4 Desired value: Out of range values might lead stainless steel blackening/tarnishing.
It is recommended a water test once a year.

1.4 Electrical connection
Electrical connection must be carried out in compliance with current standards.
Make sure the line voltage matches that given on the special machine dataplate.
A suitable omni-polar one-way switch shall be installed and sized according to the absorption provided, in
order to completely guarantee the disconnection from the supply mains, under “category III” overvoltage conditions.
This switch shall be included in the power network solely and exclusively used for this purpose and installed in
the immediate vicinity of the machine. Always turn the machine off via this switch. This is the only model of switch
that guarantees a total electrical power disconnection.
Make sure that the facility is equipped with effi cient ground connection.
The machine has a connection at the back, indicated by the symbol that is meant to link the steel structure and
masses among diff erent apparatuses (see electrical safety standards).
The special dataplate gives the nominal power and electrical input values in watts (W) and amperes (A), for dimensioning
of the line, cable and switches.
Warning: some versions of this machine can dissipate more than 10mA to earth.
1.5 Rinse-aid dosing pump functioning
Functioning: The dosing pump is powered by the pressure generated by the rinse pump,
used to load a spring.
The release of the spring generates the suction of the rinse-aid chemical from its container
to the boiler.
To prime the rinse-aid pump, run some wash/rinse cycles.
Water connection:
1) Connect the dispenser by its hose holder fi tting A to the pump, by means of the rubber
hose installed in the machine (pump pressure).
2) Connect the black rubber tube by its delivery connection B to the union located near the
boiler (injector).
3) Ensure insertion of the green product suction tube in the special connection C and the lter and ballast in the rinse aid tank.
Adjustment: The dosing pump takes a determined quantity of rinse-aid chemical at each rinse.
This quantity is adjustable from 0 to 4 cc, equivalent to circa 0 to 30 cm length of the suction hose.
Turn the adjustment screw clockwise to reduce capacity.
Turn the adjustment screw anticlockwise, to achieve the maximum capacity (up to 20 turns).
For the right amount of product see the paragraph Rinse aid use.
Note: for every turn of the screw the amount of rinse aid drawn in the tube varies by 1.6 cm, equal to 0.2 cm³/turn (approx.
0.21g/turn with rinse aid density of 1.05 g/cm³).
The rinse aid dispenser cannot work correctly if the diff erence in level between the bottom of the machine and the tank is
more than 80 cm.
THE DISPENSERS ARE PRESET FOR DRAWING 5 cm, FOLLOWING A FUNCTIONAL CHECK DURING THE TESTING
PHASE. THIS VALUE MUST ALWAYS BE MODIFIED ACCORDING TO THE TYPE OF RINSE AID AND THE HARDNESS
OF THE WATER.
