4. MICROMARK 801 PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The Micromark 801 is a compact, high-quality bass combo amp with a solid-state preamp and an analog power amp, which delivers 50W of power into one yellow 8” Markbass neodymium woofer.
It is still small enough to deliver the Markbass sound anywhere, but big enough to provide a fuller sound with plenty of bottom end! The combo feature a speaker output that can either be used for an 8 ohm extension cabinet
(drawing 60W from the head in the combo), or for a satellite” Tweeter Box (to increase high end frequency response).
4.1 MICROMARK 801 FUNCTIONS OVERVIEW (TOP PANEL)
INPUT (2)
The input jack accepts an unbalanced signal from your bass via a standard1⁄4” instrument cable.
LEVEL(3)
Start with the volume (LEVEL) o (all the way counter-clockwise) and turn clockwise until you reach your desired volume.
VPF (4)
The VPF (Variable Preshape Filter) boosts lows (around 35 Hz) and highs (around 10 kHz), and cuts mids at 380 Hz.
This lter sounds great for rock music and is also a favorite of many slap bass players.
At higher volumes, turning the VPF up high will result in more output limiting due to the increase in low frequencies.
AUX IN (1)
Use this jack to plug in a CD player, MP3 player, iPod, etc. using a mini plug (1/8”). The signal mixes in evenly with your instrument input. Since there is no separate level control for each input, use the volume knobs on your bass
and your CD/MP3 player to achieve the right mix.

4.2 MICROMARK 801 FUNCTIONS OVERVIEW (REAR PANEL)
VOLTAGE SELECTOR (5) The Micromark 801 feature a 120V/240V Voltage Selector (23) to use the amp in countries with dierent volta-
ges, so make sure the switch on the rear panel is on the correct voltage before connecting it to the AC power, and the fuse is the right
value for that voltage (This selector is not available on the 100V version).
Please change the voltage/fuse values label located near the voltage selector matching the voltage/fuse values when you need to
change the voltage of the apparatus.
AC POWER SOCKET (6) Make sure the unit is grounded; all three terminals of the AC power plug must be connected to avoid any injury
to the user or damage to the unit.
Micromark 801 combo feature a 120V/240V Voltage Selector to use the amp in countries with dierent voltages, so make sure the
switch on the rear panel is on the correct voltage before connecting it to the AC power, and the fuse is the right value for that voltage.
GROUND LIFT (7)
When you detect a hum from your line out signal, switching the ground lift will more than likely eliminate it.
LINE OUT (8)
This balanced XLR output may be used for recording or live situations. Use an XLR cable to connect your amp to a soundboard, snake
or soundcard.
INTERNAL SPEAKER ON/OFF (9)
Use this switch to turn o the amps speaker when using headphones or using only the extension cabinet.
SPEAKER (10)
Using a standard 1/4” speaker cable, this jack can be used to connect to a Markbass Tweeter Box” for increased high end response, or
to an 8 ohm extension cabinet to create a louder 60W rig!
HEADPHONE JACK (11)
For quiet practicing, plug headphones into this mini plug (1/8”) input. If you plug in headphones, the amp’s speaker will stay on unless
you turn it o using the switch (9). To control the level to your headphones, use the volume control on the amp, and/or the volume
knob on your bass.

8. MINIMARK 802 PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The Markbass Minimark 802 is a compact, high-quality bass combo amp with a solid-state preamp and an analog power amp, which delivers 150W of power into two yellow 8” Markbass neodymium woofers and a piezo
tweeter. Connected to an 8 ohm extension cabinet, it delivers 250W of power.
8.1 MINIMARK 802 FUNCTIONS OVERVIEW (TOP PANEL)
INPUT (2)
The input jack accepts an unbalanced signal from your bass (active or passive) via a standard
1/4” instrument cable.
LEVEL (3)
Start with the volume (LEVEL) o (all the way counter-clockwise) and turn clockwise until you reach
your desired volume.
CLIP (4)
The clip LED illuminates if the level of the input signal is too high. If the clip light illuminates, reduce
the volume level to avoid limiting and distortion.
VLE and VPF FILTERS (5)
The VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) lters out high frequencies to give you a mellower,
less modern sound.
As you turn the knob clockwise, you will nd that a wider and wider range of high frequencies gets cut
(see page 7 for a graph of this lter’s function). This EQ eect is especially useful for acoustic and older styles of music.
The VPF (6) (Variable Preshape Filter) boosts lows (around 35 Hz) and highs (around 10 kHz), and cuts mids at 380 Hz. This lter sounds great for rock music and is also a favorite of many slap bass players. Note that at
higher volumes, turning the VPF up high will result in more output limiting due to the increase in low frequencies.
