15. If this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other), it is to reduce the risk
of electric shock. This plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified elec-
trician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
16. To disconnect the appliance, turn any control to min position, then remove plug from the wall
outlet.
17. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
18. The appliance is only to be operated in the closed position.

1) The marked electrical rating of the cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the elec-
trical rating of the appliance;
2) The longer cord should be arranged so that it does not drape over the countertop or table top
where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

Before first use
1 Remove all packaging materials, stickers and accessories
from the inside and the outside of the appliance.
Never place the appliance directly on a fragile surface (glass
table, tablecloth, varnished furniture,etc.) or on a soft surface
such as a dish towel.
Select a dry, level location where grill will be used, leaving
enough space between the back of the grill and wall to allow
heat to flow without damage to cabinets and walls.
2 Wipe grill plates with a soapy sponge, then wipe clean with
a wet sponge to remove any remaining soap.
3 Place the juice tray under the bottom housing of the grill
until it reaches the blocked position. The juice tray will allow
the run off to be collected at the front and back of the grill.
4 Fully unwind the power cord.
Make sure that the electric power supply is compatible with
the power rating and voltage indicated on the bottom of the
appliance.

5 Plug the power cord into an outlet.
If an extension cord is used: take all necessary precautions
to prevent anyone tripping over an extension cord.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
The power supply cord should be regularly examined for
signs of damage, and if the cord is damaged, the appliance
must not be used.
On first use, there may be a slight odor and a little smoke
during the first few minutes. In these cases, open the
windows and wait until there is no more smoke or odor.
This appliance is not intended to be operated by means
of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
6 To pre-heat the appliance, turn the dial to the desired tem-
perature setting. After pre-heating, the appliance is ready
for use.
The preheat indicator light comes on to indicate the grill is
heating.
When the selected temperature is reached, the preheat
indicator light will go out.
The preheat indicator light will turn on and off during
cooking to indicate your desired temperature is being
maintained.
Allow the grill to preheat for at least 5 minutes before grilling.
If desired, use a kitchen timer.
7 Do not move the appliance when in use.
Carefully place foods to be cooked on lower grilling plate.

8 Close the cover and allow food to cook for the selected time.
If desired, use a kitchen timer.
Do not leave the appliance unattended during use or when
plugged in.
Light pressure can be used on the handle to press and heat
food to your liking.
Important: Do not use heavy pressure on the lid of the
grill at any time.
To prevent heat loss and for even cooking, do not open the
lid frequently.
For best results, do not overload the grill.
Remember that since grill is cooking from both sides, cooking
time will typically be shorter than expected.
Watch carefully to avoid overcooking.
For added flavor, add dry seasonings or marinades into the
flavor infuser inlet before grilling.
9 Once cooking is complete, carefully open the grill cover using
a pot holder.
Always use silicone, heatproof plastic or wood utensils to
avoid scratching nonstick surface of grill plates.
Never use metal spatulas skewers, tongs, forks or knives.
Never cut directly on the plates
10 Do not remove the juice tray while cooking.
If the juice tray becomes full when cooking, let the appliance
cool down before emptying.
Wash and dry juice tray after each use.
To preserve the non-stick properties of the coating,
do not cook food in aluminium foil.
Never run the appliance empty.
Do not place cooking ustensils on the cooking surfaces
of the appliance.

11 Place the thermostat in the min. position before
unplugging.
12 Before cleaning, unplug grill from wall outlet and allow to
cool at least 2 hours.
13 To avoid accidental burns, allow grill to cool thoroughly
before cleaning.
14 Place juice tray under front of grill.
Use plastic spatula to scrape off any excess fat and food
particles left on the grill plates directly into the juice tray.

15 Use a warm, soapy sponge to wipe plates clean, then rinse
sponge and wipe again to remove any soapy residue.
Dry thoroughly with an absorbent paper towel.
To remove stubborn buildup, use a nylon or nonmetallic
scrubbing pad to clean the grill plates.
Do not use metallic scrubbing pads, steel wool or any
abrasive cleaners to clean any part of your grill;
use only nylon or nonmetallic scrubbing pads.
Empty juice tray and wash in warm, soapy water;
dry thoroughly with a paper towel.
To clean the grill cover, wipe with a warm, wet sponge
and dry with a soft, dry cloth.
16 Do not immerse the body of grill in water or any other
liquid.
17 Always make sure grill is clean and dry before storing.

The Warranty
This product is guaranteed by T-fal for 1 year against any manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship, starting from the initial date of purchase.
The manufacturer's warranty by T-fal is an extra benefit which does not affect consumer's Statutory Rights.
The T-fal warranty covers all costs related to restoring the proven defective product so that it conforms to its original specifications, through the
repair or replacement of any defective part and the necessary labor. At T-fal’s choice, a replacement product may be provided instead of repairing
a defective product. T-fal’s sole obligation and your exclusive resolution under this warranty are limited to such repair or replacement.
Conditions & Exclusions
The T-fal warranty only applies within USA, Canada & Mexico, and is valid only on presentation of a proof of purchase. The product can be taken
directly in person to an authorized service center or must be adequately packaged and returned, by recorded delivery (or equivalent method of
postage), to a T-fal authorized service center. Full address details for each country’s authorized service center are listed on the T-fal website
(www.tefal.com) or by calling the appropriate telephone number listed below to request the appropriate postal address.
T-fal shall not be obligated to repair or replace any product which is not accompanied by a valid proof of purchase.
This warranty will not cover any damage which could occur as a result of misuse, negligence, failure to follow T-fal instructions, use on current or
voltage other than as stamped on the product, or a modification or unauthorized repair of the product. It also does not cover normal tear and wear,
maintenance or replacement of consumable parts, and the following:
- using the wrong type of water or consumable
- scaling (any de-scaling must be carried out according

The T-fal manufacturer's warranty applies only for products purchased and used in USA, Canada & Mexico. Where a product purchased in one
country and then used in another one:
a) The T-fal guarantee duration is the one in the country of usage of the product, even if the product was purchased in another listed country with
different guarantee duration.
b) The T-fal guarantee does not apply in case of non conformity of the purchased product with the local standards, such as voltage, frequency,
power plugs, or other local technical specifications
c) The repair process for products purchased outside the country of use may require a longer time if the product is not locally sold by T-fal
d) In cases where the product is not repairable in the new country, the T-fal guarantee is limited to a replacement by a similar product or an alternative

Instructions concernant le cordon d'alimentation

Il est possible d'utiliser une rallonge électrique, avec vigilance.
Si vous utilisez une rallonge :
1) veillez à ce que le calibre indiqué sur le cordon soit au moins aussi élevé que

Avant la première utilisation
1 Enlever tous les emballages, autocollants ou accessoires
divers à l’intérieur comme à l’extérieur de l’appareil.
Ne jamais placer votre appareil directement sur une surface
fragile (table en verre, nappe, meuble verni...) ou sur un
support de type nappe plastique.
Choisir un endroit sec et plat le gril sera utilisé, laissant
assez d'espace entre l'arrière du gril et le mur pour permettre
la circulation de la chaleur sans endommager les armoires
et les murs.
2 Nettoyer les plaques avec une éponge savonneuse, puis
passer une éponge humide pour enlever le surplus de savon.
3 Placer le bac à jus dans le boîtier inférieur du gril jusqu'à la
position bloquée.
Le bac à jus récupère les jus de cuisson s'écoulant sur le
devant et le derrière de la plaque.
4 Dérouler entièrement le cordon.
S'assurer que l’installation électrique est compatible avec la
puissance et la tension indiquées sous l’appareil.

5 Brancher la fiche sur la prise murale.
Si une rallonge électrique est utilisée, prendre toutes les
mesures cessaires pour qu'elle ne fasse trébucher
personne.
Si le cordon d'alimentation est endommagé, il doit être
remplacé par le fabricant, son service après vente ou des
personnes de qualifications similaires afin d'éviter un danger.
Le cordon d'alimentation doit être vérifrégulièrement pour
détecter tout signe de détérioration et, si le cordon est
endommagé, l'appareil ne doit pas être utilisé.
Lors de la première utilisation, il peut se produire un léger
dégagement d’odeur ou de fumée. Dans ce cas, ouvrir la
fenêtre jusqu'à dissipation de l'odeur ou de la fumée.
Cet appareil n’est pas destiné à être mis en marche au
moyen d’une minuterie extérieure ou par un système de
commande à distance séparé.
6 Pour préchauffer l'appareil, tourner le cadran à la température
désirée. Après le préchauffage, l’appareil est prêt à être utilisé.
Le voyant de préchauffage s'allume et indique que le gril
chauffe.
Le voyant de préchauffage s'éteint quand la température
désirée est atteinte.
Le voyant de préchauffage s’éteindra et se rallumera
régulièrement au cours de l’utilisation pour indiquer que la
température est maintenue.
Préchauffer le gril pendant au moins 5 minutes avant la cuisson.
Si vous le souhaitez, utiliser une minuterie électronique

8 Fermer le couvercle et faire cuire la nourriture selon la
température sélectionnée. Utiliser une minuterie électronique
si nécessaire.
Ne jamais brancher l'appareil lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé.
Une légère pression peut-être exercée avec l'aide de la
poignée afin de cuire la nourriture selon votre goût.
Important: n'exercer à aucun moment de pression forte
sur le couvercle du gril.
Pour éviter une perte de chaleur et de cuisson, ne pas ouvrir
le couvercle du gril de manière fréquente.
Pour de meilleurs résultats, ne pas surcharger le gril de
nourriture.
Étant donné que le gril cuira des deux côtés, le temps de
cuisson sera plus court que prévu.
Surveiller attentivement la cuisson afin dviter que la
nourriture ne soit trop cuite.
Pour ajouter de la saveur, ajouter des assaisonnements secs
ou marinés dans la fente pour les épices avant la cuisson.
9 Une fois la cuisson terminée, ouvrir précautionneusement le
couvercle du gril en utilisant une manique.
Toujours utiliser des ustensiles en silicone, en plastique
résistant à la chaleur ou en bois pour éviter de rayer la
surface antiadhésive des plaques. Ne jamais utiliser de
brochettes en métal, pinces, fourchettes ou des couteaux.
Ne pas couper directement les aliments sur les plaques.
10 Ne pas retirer le bac à jus pendant la cuisson.
Si le tiroir est plein durant la cuisson, laisser refroidir l’appareil
avant de le vider.
Laver et sécher le bac à jus après chaque utilisation.
Pour conserver les qualités anti-adhésives du revêtement, ne
pas faire de cuisson en papillote.
Ne jamais utiliser l’appareil à vide.
Ne pas poser d'ustensile de cuisson sur les surfaces de cuisson
de l'appareil.

11 Régler le thermostat à la position mini avant de débrancher.
12 Avant le nettoyage, débrancher le gril de la prise murale et
laissez-le refroidir 2 h.
13 Pour éviter tout risque de brûlure, laisser refroidir complète-
ment le gril avant de le nettoyer.

15 Utiliser une éponge savonneuse et chaude pour nettoyer les
plaques, puis rincer avec l'éponge et nettoyer à nouveau
pour enlever tout résidu. Sécher avec du papier absorbant.
Pour enlever les particules tenaces qui s'accumulent, utiliser
un tampon à laver en nylon ou non métallique pour nettoyer
les plaques.
Ne pas utiliser de tampons à laver métalliques, de laines
d'acier ou tout autre nettoyant abrasif pour nettoyer toute
partie du gril; n'utiliser que des tampons à laver en nylon ou
non métalliques.
Vider et laver à l'eau chaude savonneuse le bac à jus et le
sécher soigneusement avec un essuie-tout.
Pour nettoyer le couvercle du gril, utiliser une éponge chaude,
humide et sécher avec un chiffon doux et sec.
16 Ne pas plonger la base du gril dans l’eau ou tout autre
liquide.
17 Toujours s'assurer que le gril est propre et sec avant de le
ranger.
