I – Initial checks
Thank you for choosing a BODET clock.
This product has been carefully designed, adhering to ISO 9001 quality processes, to ensure your
satisfaction. We recommend that you read this manual and the general safety measures and
operating instructions carefully before handling the clock.
Retain this manual for reference for the lifespan of your clock.
The information supplied is non-binding; Bodet reserves the right to make changes to equipment,
including functional, technical and aesthetic changes or changes to colours, without notice.
Failure to observe these instructions may cause irreversible damage to the clock and
invalidate the warranty.
These instructions relate to synchronisation of the clocks as follows:
IND (independent) – IMP (impulse): The clock should be configured independently, or as part
of a time distribution network, driven by a master clock which sends out impulses (independent,
minute or half minute in parallel).
AFNOR: The clock should be installed as part of a wired coded time distribution network in
compliance with AFNOR or IRIG-B standards.
1.1 Unpacking the clock
Carefully unpack the clock and check the contents of the package. This should include:
• Style 5S ou 7S Hospital clock
• Anti-static cleaning kit
• Manual
• IMPORTANT: product identication label
An identification label is affixed to the back of the clock. Use the URL link shown to download these
instructions from the Bodet website: www.bodet-time.com.
1.2 Cleaning
Use an anti-static product identical to that in the cleaning kit provided.
Never use alcohol, acetone or other solvents which may damage your clock's casing or glass.

II – Installation
2.1 Clock installation
2.1.1 Mounting without back cover
According to the model of the clock make the cut-out following the dimensions listed in table below:

a) Insert the clock in the cut-out in order to mark the position of the 4 mounting screws.
b) Remove the clock and drill 4 holes Ø6 mm to insert the wall plugs.
c) Feed the power cable and the synchronisation cable throught the cut-out.
d) Connect the clock, adjust the brightness (refer to page 7) and set the time (refer to page 10).
e) Apply a silicone seal between the clock and the wall.
f) Fix the clock to the wall with the 4 screws Ø4 mm.

Installation without the back cover

2.1.2 Mounting with back cover
According to the model of the clock make the cut-out following the dimensions listed in table below:
Dimensions in mm
a) Insert the back cover in the cut-out in order to mark the position of the 6 mounting screws.
b) Remove the back cover and drill 2 holes Ø 6 mm ( ) to insert the wall plugs for the back cover
mounting.
c) Drill 4 holes Ø10 mm ( ) to make room for the 4 clock mounting rivets.
d) Feed the power cable and the synchronisation cable throught the cut-out and cable glands of the
back cover.
e) Apply a silicone seal between the back cover (fixing brackets) and the wall.
f) Fix the back cover to the wall with the 2 screws Ø4 mm.
g) Connect the clock, adjust the brightness (page 7) and set the time (refer to page 10).
h) Apply a silicone seal between the back cover and the clock.
i) Fix the clock to the back cover with the 4 screws Ø4 mm.

2.1.3 Connections
- Connect the electronic board (see next page) and the keypad (optional) to the terminal strip on
the back of the clock.
- Set the brightness by pressing the "S" and "+" keys on the back of the clock (see above).
- Brightness may be adjusted when the Style clock is in normal use mode, i.e. in neither the
configuration menu, nor in the set time menu. The default brightness is level 3.

2.2 Installing the keypad
To install and use the keypad (including in timer mode), refer to the instructions supplied with the
keypad.

III – Connecting to the time distribution network
Connect the 100-240VAC 50/60Hz mains power supply. (See page 8)
3.1 Parallel distribution with inverted polarity
Minute // (12-24-48 Volt), ½ minute // (24 Volt) and AFNOR
1) Ensure that the clock is designed to be synchronised by "Impulse" or to be connected to a time
code distribution network that meets the AFNOR standard .
2) Connect the impulse cable to terminal strip (A). Use the correct polarity for impulse synchronisation.
There is no polarity in AFNOR.
Minute or ½ minute mode (only)
3) Select the impulse frequency (minute or ½ minute) (refer to page 14) and display mode
(refer to page 11).
4) Set the clock to the correct time (refer to page 10).
IV – Default configuration
Restore factory settings by keeping the red button on the electronic board pressed until the clock
turns black.

VI – Memory backup
Style clocks have a permanent backup feature that is used to store all of the configuration parameters
and the display settings, even in the event of a prolonged power cut.
VII – Technical specifications
Style clocks comply with LVD 2014/35/EU and EMC 2014/30/EU directives.
– Power supply: 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz (depending on model).
– Max. consumption: 100-240VAC; 75-50 mA.
– In the event of a power failure, time and date are saved for 1 week.
– Time base backup:
Independent clock: 15 days in the event of a power cut.
Other synchronisations: no backup feature; at each reboot, the clock waits for a synchronisation
signal.
– Time accuracy: 0.2 sec./day
– Operating temperature: -5° to +55°C.
– Protection rating: IP65, IK07 (Style 7S OP), IK09 (Style 5S OP).

de sécurité et précautions d’utilisation avant de commencer à manipuler l’horloge.
Conserver ce manuel pendant toute la durée de vie de votre horloge afin de pouvoir vous y reporter
à chaque fois que cela sera nécessaire.
Données non contractuelles. Bodet se réserve le droit d’apporter aux appareils certaines modifications

La présente notice concerne les synchronisations d’horloges suivantes:
IND (indépendante) – IMP (impulsions): L’horloge peut être configurée en indépendante,
ou être intégrée à un réseau de distribution horaire piloté par une horloge mère délivrant des
impulsions (Indépendante, minute ou 1/2 minute sur ligne parallèle).
AFNOR: L’horloge doit être intégrée à un réseau de distribution horaire temps codé conforme
à la norme AFNOR ou à l’IRIG-B.
1.1 Déballage de l’horloge
Déballer soigneusement l’horloge et vérifier le contenu de l’emballage. Celui-ci doit comprendre :
• L’horloge Style 5S ou 7S Hôpital,
• Une pochette de nettoyage antistatique,
• Ce manuel.
• IMPORTANT : marquage étiquette produit.
Une étiquette signalétique, apposée au dos de l’horloge est visible. Elle indique un lien URL
permettant de télécharger cette notice depuis le site internet www.bodet-time.com.
1.2 Nettoyage
Utiliser un produit antistatique identique à celui de la pochette de nettoyage fournie.
Ne jamais utiliser d’alcool, d’acétone ou autres solvants susceptibles d’endommager l’horloge.

2.1 Montage de l’horloge
2.1.1 Montage sans fond d’encastrement
Selon le modèle de l’horloge, faire un découpe en suivant les dimensions listées dans le
tableau ci-dessous:

a) Présenter l’horloge de manière à marquer l’emplacement des 4 trous de fixation.
b) Retirer l’horloge et percer les 4 trous Ø6 mm pour y insérer les chevilles.
c) Passer les câbles d’alimentation et de synchronisation à travers la découpe.
d) Raccorder l’horloge, régler la luminosité (page 18) et effectuer la mise à l’heure (page 21).
e) Déposer un joint silicone entre l’horloge et le mur.
f) Fixer l’horloge au mur avec les 4 vis Ø4 mm.

2.1.2 Montage avec fond d’encastrement
Selon le modèle de l’horloge, faire un découpe en suivant les dimensions listées dans le
tableau ci-dessous:

a) Présenter le fond d’encastrement de manière à marquer l’emplacement des 6 trous de fixation.
b) Retirer le fond d’encastrement puis percer 2 trous ( ) au Ø6 mm pour l’insertion des chevilles
de fixation pour le montage de ce dernier.
c) Percer les 4 trous ( ) au Ø10 mm pour permettre le passage des 4 rivets de fixation de
l’horloge.
d) Passer les câbles d’alimentation et de synchronisation à travers la découpe et les presse-
étoupes du fond d’encastrement.
e) Déposer un joint silicone entre le fond d’encastrement (oreilles de fixation) et le mur.
f) Fixer le fond d’encastrement au mur avec les 2 vis de Ø4 mm.
g ) Raccorder l’horloge, règler la luminosité (page 18) et effectuer la mise à l’heure (page 21).
h) Déposer un joint silicone entre le fond d’encastrement et l’horloge.
i) Fixer l’horloge au fond d’encastrement avec les 4 vis Ø4 mm.

2.1.3 Connexions
Câbler la carte électronique (Cf. page suivante) et le pupitre de commande (en option) sur le bornier
de la carte électronique au dos de l’horloge.
Régler la luminosité: ce réglage s’effectue en appuyant sur les touches capacitives «S» et «+» au
dos de l’horloge (Cf. ci-dessus).
Le réglage de luminosité peut être effectué lorsque l’horloge Style est en mode d’utilisation normale,
c’est-à-dire lorsqu’elle ne se trouve ni dans le menu de configuration, ni dans le menu de mise
à l’heure. Niveau de luminosité par défaut : 3.

notice livrée avec ce dernier.

III – Raccordement sur réseau de distribution horaire
Brancher l’alimentation secteur 100-240VAC 50/60Hz. (Cf. page précédente).
3.1 Distribution parallèle à polariré inversées
Minute // (12-24-48 Volt), 1/2 Minute // (24 Volt) et AFNOR
1) Vérifier que l’horloge est bien synchronisée par “Impulsion” ou qu’elle peut être intégrée à un
réseau de distribution horaire temps codé conforme à la norme AFNOR.
2) Raccorder la ligne d’impulsions au bornier (A) en respectant la polarité pour la synchronisation
par impulsions. Il n’y a pas de polarité en AFNOR.
Mode Minute ou 1/2 Minute (uniquement):
3) Sélectionner la fréquence d’impulsions (minute ou 1/2 minute) (se reporter page 25) et le mode
d’affichage (se reporter page 22).
4) Mettre l’horloge à l’heure (se reporter page 21).
IV – Configuration par défaut
Le retour de la configuration usine s’effectue en appuyant, jusqu’à la mise au noir de l’horloge, sur
le bouton poussoir (rouge) de la carte électronique.
