18 SPARC T7-4 Server Installation Guide • March 2017
Environmental Requirements
Description Value
Maximum server configuration specification under nominal temperature and
voltage conditions:
(Four 3.6 GHz T5 Processors, with sixty-four 32 GB DDR4 DIMMS, 8 HDD
and 16 I/O cards)
Idle input power 2124 W
Peak AC input power (running SpecJBB) 4386 W
Minimum server configuration specification under nominal temperature and
voltage conditions
(Two 3.6 GHz T5 Processors, with 32x 16GB DDR4 DIMMS, no HDD and no
I/O cards)
Idle input power 1023 W
Peak AC input power (running SpecJBB) 1915 W
Actual amperage draw may exceed rating by no more than 10%.
Note - The maximum operating input current values are based on the formula P / (V *0.90),
where P = maximum operating input power and V = input voltage. For example: 620W / (100V
* 0.90) = 6.89A You can use this formula to calculate the maximum operating current at your
input voltage.
Caution - Use only the power cords provided with the server.
